Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman were married for four years and had two daughters, Olive, nine and Frankie, seven. They divorced in 2016. There wasn?t a lot of drama surrounding their divorce other than most of us had really hoped her third marriage would work out for Drew. But she started her talk show and seemed generally content all around, which is a sign that she did what was best for her. Although Drew has not moved on to a new romance, as far as we know, Will has. Will just got remarried to the director of fashion development at Vogue, Alexandra Michler. Drew told Dax Shepard on his Armchair Expert podcast that she couldn?t be happier for the couple. Drew went so far as to say she ?worships? her daughters? new stepmom.
Drew Barrymore cant stop gushing about her ex-husbands new wife.
The actress, 46, appeared on Dax Shepards Armchair Expert podcast on Monday and spoke about ex Will Kopelmans new wife, Alexandra Michler.
He just got remarried actually last week to this most amazing woman, Barrymore told Shepard. This incredible woman Allie, and I just feel like I won the lottery with her, like, I really did. I feel like Im lucky that theres this new beautiful soul that came into our lives.
Barrymore added she does not try to be her best friend, although Michler knows that I absolutely worship the ground she walks on, and Im her biggest cheerleader.
But I give them space, she continued. We hang out. We do dinners with all the kids, birthdays. We might take a trip together, were finding our way in a beautiful, slow, respectful manner.

These aren?t new feelings for Drew. She?s been this effusive since the couple got engaged. She told Howard Stern at that time that she was ?president of (Alexandra?s) fan club.? I might write this off as Drew?s hippy-dippy thing, but she qualified it. Drew told Dax that she appreciates Alexandra for getting to know her daughters in a very real way and accepting the whole family, ?warts and all.? I think it?s wonderful that Drew recognizes how much value Alexandra can bring to her girls and to Will. I love when blended families get along, it?s one of my soft spots.
I posted one photo of the couple below. It was taken by Will?s sister, actress Jill Kargman who wrote and starred in Odd Mom Out. You can see more photos on her IG. I am not posting them because they have Drew?s daughters in them, as they were flower girls in the wedding. Drew is pretty strict about keeping her girls off social media and off camera. She told Dax she was like ?a f***ing Doberman? about it because she wants them to have a chance to just be kids and she thinks if they get in front of the camera too early, they?ll lose that. If anyone knows about losing their childhood, it?s Drew. For the record, Jill and Drew are very good friends. Jill once said Drew will be her sister for life, even after she divorced Will.

One of the things I?ve always liked about Drew Barrymore is that she?s always owned her particular look and she?s always just flatly assumed that everyone thinks she?s cute. She?s never seemed angsty or doubtful about her looks, and she?s never tortured herself about self-acceptance. She?s always been rather ?I?ll come as I am, because I?m adorable.? It?s a great way to approach life, honestly. So it?s not surprising to me that Drew has never had plastic surgery. I would be surprised if it even occurred to her to alter her looks.
Never been nipped. Despite being famous for most of her life, Drew Barrymore revealed on Wednesday that she?s never had plastic surgery, instead choosing to age naturally ? for now, at least.
?I?ve never done anything to my face and I would like to try not to,? the 45-year-old actress said during an episode of her talk show, ?The Drew Barrymore Show,? adding, ?Never say never.?
Barrymore pointed to her personality as part of the reason she?s reluctant to go under the knife.
?The thing that I do care about and I do feel is still relevant to my life is the face. I know myself. I?m a highly addictive person. I do one injection, I?m going to look like Jocelyn Wildenstein by Friday,? she joked, referencing the socialite who?s famously spent millions on multiple cosmetic surgeries. ?I think because I?m so rebellious that I saw all of that pressure and I saw all of those women torturing themselves to look a certain way and I thought, ?You miserable people.? I just never wanted to be afraid of what life would do to me. I probably went to too many opposite extremes. Now I?m boring and safe and healthy.?
What?s more, the Flower Beauty founder said she doesn?t mind a few fine lines or gray hairs. ?We?re gonna age, things are gonna go south and it?s okay and it?s a part of life and I feel more human and more vulnerable every year of my life, but I also know how to appreciate every year more and more, too,? she concluded.

I remember a photoshoot she did in 2010, before she had kids, where she had lost some weight and she was bragging about how her cheekbones finally ?popped? in her 30s, after years of having a babyface. I remember that because there were some conversations about whether or not she had some work done, but in retrospect? yeah, I think she really just lost some weight and you could see it on her face. Drew looks like what she is: a 45-year-old woman who is ageing pretty well, with access to expensive skincare and dermatologists, but someone who doesn?t want to start tweaking because she knows she would never be able to stop.

| Drew Barrymore, after three divorces: 'Never, never. I will never get married again' | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Drew Barrymore covers the latest issue of People Magazine. I covered the first excerpts from her cover interview, where she was mostly talking about her new talk show and how she?s going to shy away from soapboxes and know-it-alls, which sounds foreboding. Beyond my apprehension of this talk show, I do sort of halfway like Drew though. I especially like the fact that she didn?t throw herself into some ill-fated romance following her divorce from Will Kopelman. That was her third marriage and I think when that one didn?t stick, Drew was like ?you know what, no mas.? She spoke with People about that too:
Hopeless romantic: I am a hopeless romantic, and everybody on this planet needs love in some form. And we are constantly contending with relationships. Love and those relationships may look differently for people. But its there at its core. So, I cant help but want to explore and examine that.
She?s tried online dating: Ive tried it. I went on a couple of dates. A lot of people totally ghosted me. And one time I was waiting to go on a date, and at the time we were supposed to meet he just wrote, Yeah, I can?t. But I?d rather hang out with my friends.
She won?t get married again: Never. Never, never, never. I will never get married again! And I also believe people should not say the word never, and I will never, with a capital N-E-V-E-R, never get married. It?s like I have two options: Cut it?this has not worked?or be Elizabeth Taylor. And I have too many more to go. I never want to be entwined with someone like that again ever. You break up, and you move on. You get divorced, and it?s just so different. I love that we are trying to hold on to an institution that [started] when the closest person to you for companionship was a three-day horse ride away and your life span was 30 years.
She?s not opposed to finding love again: It doesn?t mean that maybe I wouldn?t like to meet someone, especially when my kids go off to college. Or a year from now, I could be totally in love. I?m open to it; I?m not seeking it. My cup runneth over. I have so much love in my life.
[From People]
I kind of enjoy all of this? As someone with little interest in marriage, I enjoy it when someone who has been through it all marriage and divorce, three times ends up agreeing with me. Marriage was different back in the day, when people died from the plague at the age of 30 and women were little more than property or political props. OPT OUT! There?s nothing wrong with meaningful partnerships and tons of people have great, healthy marriages, of course. But there?s also nothing wrong with saying ?been there, done that, got the t-shirt and I never want to do it again.? There?s nothing wrong with saying ?that looks terrible and I never want that for myself.? I kind of think it?s funny that Drew believes she basically only has two options: done at three marriages or go Full Liz Taylor.

Drew Barrymore is a judge on that CBS competition show, Worlds Best, with RuPaul, Faith Hill and James Corden. There are so many reality competition shows and theyre being usurped by those celebrity performance shows like Masked Singer and Lip Sync Battle. The last time we checked in on Drew she was claiming that she never gets stage fright because she was a child actress. It was typical Drew and she also went on about talking to the checkout people at stores something. Shes mentioned this topic before, about being open and friendly and having small moments of connection. Drew hasnt had a special someone since her divorce. She posted something to Instagram recently to celebrate Valentines Day, it was a series of sticky notes on the mirror of her trailer at work. (I think the woman who left it was working with her on a Crocs photoshoot.)

I am not totally sure what Valentine?s Day is supposed to feel like. But when I walked in my trailer today at work and saw that my friend @joyseaboch had put this on my mirror, I knew. I know this I love my friends. I love my children first of course, but this day is just about love period. And if you don?t have it with a romantic partner (I?m single and have not been able to successfully date for almost four years so what do I know you ask?) I believe with all my heart in the human heart. There are just good days and bad days. Really difficult- test your will to live days. And days where you feel so alive your skin tingles and your smile might just rip your face apart until it floats right up into heaven and you want skywrite about how goddamn happy you are!!!!! But the constant love usually has been my kids and my friends. A type of love that does not require a romantic partnership and navigation. And if you want to read the best thing I have seen in a long ass time about a relationship on love, than read @elainewelteroth Instagram page today. It blew me away. And when I am ready for love I am gonna remember what she said! I have fought my way to a deeper happiness on my own, and i love being independent! It just rules. I am also lucky enough to have two young amazing kids and a full time job, and rad friends. So I?m not sitting around bummed out. I feel stupid grateful. But I?m still a romantic at heart. As for today, don?t waste the day being sad about what you don?t have! Be happy about what you do have. It?s there. I promise.

Drew Barrymore was a guest on Ellen earlier this week. She’s promoting Santa Clarita diet on Netflix, in which she stars with Timothy Olyphant. It’s a dark comedy where her character becomes a zombie who is still able to function and obtain victims with the help of her family. It’s like iZombie meets a family sitcom I guess, it’s out today and reviews so far are middling. I’ll watch an episode and see if I’m hooked or not.
Drew went through a divorce last year from her husband of about three years, Will Kopelman. They have two daughters together Olive, four, and Frankie, two. The way it was reported in the celebrity press Drew and Will tried to make it work, it didn’t and Drew in particular wanted out, and now they’re successfully coparenting. Drew remains close with Will’s family and calls them like a second family. She’s said some things that make it sound like it’s harder than she lets on, like she’s called herself a failure regarding her marriage and on Ellen she called divorce her “worst nightmare.” Then she brought it back around and made everything sound ok again:
?You know, it?s interesting ? I saw this article the other day written about me ? and I never see articles written about me ? and it was like, ?My Modern Family.? And I was like, I like that; that has a nice ring to it. And you know, it was just like my worst nightmare. I so wanted to raise kids in this ultra-traditional way and do everything so the polar opposite of my experience. And you know, it really is about the tone you set and you can talk until you?re blue in the face, but kids watch what you do every since day of your life, all day long, and that behavior and that example and that love and community and honesty is just, I think, what?s making everything feel safe for my kids. And that?s really the intention I had as a parent was how do my kids have this incredible sense of like freedom inside their hearts cause they know I?ve got them and their dads got them and Grammy and Poppy ? I?m wearing Grammy?s necklace right now ? like their cousins and Jill. I got two families. I went from like zero to two and it?s a miracle and a blessing. And we do it, you know, in a way that I think a lot of other people are probably doing it too. And sometimes again, the road is different than what you try to make it or what you expected and you just figure it out and you figure it out with grace.?
[From Ellen via WTVR]
I like listening to Drew. She can be a little esoteric but there’s something so genuine about her and you get the sense that she really means what she says. Now she’s trying to coparent and that sucks in a lot of ways surely but she’s not talking about that and she’s focusing on the big picture and on her kids’ well being. So many couples lose sight of that out of hatred for each other.
Here’s Drew promoting Santa Clarita Diet yesterday (in the very goofy black dress with poof sleeves and a sequin bow. Why?!) and on January 20th (in a much cuter black pantsuit with better styling). There’s something off about her body language with Olyphant but I think that’s how she is with most costars.

| Drew Barrymore in Monique Lhullier at the Golden Globes: avian fab or fug? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Presenter Drew Barrymore was at the Globes last night in an incredible silver and white Monique Lhullier gown with a deep v-neck, open shoulders, and wide sleeves that resembled wings. Many people on Twitter were calling this a bird dress and that’s really what it looks like. I love it but her makeup is kind of ruining it for me. I tweeted and deleted a message about how I learned in eighth grade not to put mascara on your bottom lashes, because at that point I saw Carrie Underwood’s makeup and realized that wasn’t the issue. Drew’s makeup is just clownish and overdone, but there are other women who wear just as much but manage to blend and make it work. Not Drew, who owns her own makeup brand, Flower Beauty.
The trailer for Drew?s new Netflix show about (mild spoiler) zombies or cannibals I guess, Santa Clarita Diet, aired last night as a fake diet ad. ?I satisfy all my cravings and eat whoever I want.? I?ll watch the first episode when it?s out on February 3, which is a Friday I just checked. Guess I should block off that weekend ahead of time.
Mandy Moore was in a black Naeem Khan gown with a long flowing skirt, a deep v-neck and a sheer cape. I thought capes were on the way out but she’s proving otherwise. Somehow this very simple black dress looks perfect and so classy. Normally I cringe at such open gowns, I dislike this trend and we saw a lot of it at the Globes, but it works on this gown.
Gina Rodriguez had on a silver fringe Naeem Khan dress which wasn?t as stunning as it should be, I think. The entire effect is rather showgirl. Gina was nominated in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy, which went to Tracee Ellis Ross. Gina won the Globe in this category last year.
Caitriona Balfe of Outlander slayed in this blue and crimson Delpozo gown featuring a flower brooch at the empire waist. This is also different than just about every gown we saw last night, and it?s incredible. Look at how lovely this is with the folds along the sides and waist. Caitriona was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama category, which went to Claire Foy for The Crown.
