Yay! More Michelle Rodriguez photos. Okay, yesterday?s photos were from some kind of screening for Battle: Los Angeles, and now these are photos from the premiere. Michelle ditched the sparkly leggings and leather jacket for this too-formal black gown. I would absolutely love this gown minus the shoulder piece, and if Michelle was wearing this at an awards show. That being said, it?s really nice to see her in a proper gown, which she rarely wears. She has a lovely figure, and I personally think she?s really pretty, so I think she can do a girly look and pull it off. I actually love the way the gown is cut in the bodice.
We also have some new interview quotes too! More matriarch stuff - Michelle tells the NYDN, “When us chicks don’t remove our clothes and we don’t play the girlfriend, there are not a lot of roles out there? so I got to play it safe and take the roles I can.” She also trained with Marines, getting up at 5 a.m. to exercise every day: “For two weeks it was like full throttle. That’s where I got the abs for ?Machete’ actually ? those hundred situps, the 50 pushups and the 2-mile run every morning. But the shooting. That stuff I love, I could do that with my hands tied behind my back.”
Also, Bridget Moynahan is in this movie too. Her dress is way more occasion-appropriate:

| Michelle Rodriguez hates whining, loves empowerment: 'I?m a true matriarch' | Added 13 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Have I ever mentioned how much I truly care for Michelle Rodriguez? Like, I know she?s done some dumb stuff, and I think the girl likes to party, probably too much, but I can?t help but love her. She?s an underrated actress, and I think she?s really pretty and sexy. I love her hard/soft dichotomy - on one side, she?s not afraid to be tough and ass-kicking, even more so than most men, but on the other side, she often comes across as so vulnerable. Sigh? enough of my crush. These are photos of Michelle at last night?s premiere of Battle: Los Angeles, which is opening this Friday. Michelle gave an interview recently where she discussed why she often takes roles in action films where she gets to kick-ass:
Actress Michelle Rodriguez has been kicking serious you know what since her breakout flick, Girlfight, and continued through mega-hits like The Fast and the Furious, Lost, and, more recently, James Camerons’ Avatar. And according to her, that’s really the only way to ensure she takes the roll.
“I look for a whiny aspect in a woman, and as soon as I see that, I’m like, ‘not interested,’” Rodriguez told Niteside. “I’m not a true thespian, I don’t seek the thrill of exploration of human emotion — I’m more about projecting what I love about women and the empowerment of them as much as possible.”
She added, “When I see strength I’m attracted to it, it’s what makes me feel comfortable. I’m a true matriarch.”
Still, Rodriguez ? whose latest film Battle: Los Angeles hits theaters Friday ? admitted to having reservations after reading the script, in which she plays plays Air Force Tech Sergeant Elena Santos.
“The first thing that I thought was, ‘I just did Avatar — I don’t want to be in a movie that’s going to be corny,’” she explained. “So my first thing was to know what these aliens are going to look like and the perspective. And he [Director Jonathan Liebesman] showed me the short that he basically showed to the studio to get the funding for it, and it blew me out of the water. It’s intimate — it’s not this ‘blow up the Hollywood sign.’”
In fact, Rodriguez ? who underwent extensive Marine training to prepare for the part ? said she wouldn’t be opposed to having a real life close encounter.
“It’d be kind of cool if aliens dropped in on us,” she laughed. “Maybe we’d stop fighting against each other so much. ”
At least we know if they didn’t “come in peace” she’d be able to take them down.

Does anyone else remember her one-season arch on Lost? Ana Lucia was one of the best characters of the Lost universe, I thought, and I think Michelle is kidding herself if she thinks she?s only about the aggressive, dominant female characters, because that?s not all she did on Lost. She does drama and pathos very, very well. Whatever, I wish she worked more, and I wish that when she worked, it wasn?t just on these action movies.

I thought I was pretty much done with all the Academy Awards chicks, but when I found these shots of Michelle Rodriguez in a weird looking see through dress I couldn’t resist. This thing looks like my grandmother’s creepy living room curtains. I’m not sure why she would have anything to do with something involving

| Michelle Rodriguez happily posed with a Swastika, what the hell? | Added 14 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Yesterday, Michelle Rodriguez posted the above photo on her official Twitter page. The caption read: ?Hehehhehee Only in Austin can you find such Happy Nazi flag shooters look at the holes on this flag.? Oh? the flag has holes in it. It took me a second to see that because I was so freaked out that M-Rod was smiling while posing with a Swastika. What the hell, M-Rod?
‘Lost’ actress Michelle Rodriguez poses in front of a swastika flag in this picture posted on her official Twitter page. While the screen star appeared to be mocking Nazi supporters - whom the ancient symbol is often associated with - she nevertheless angered some fans.
Posting the image from Texas she wrote: “Hehehhehee Only in Austin can you find such Happy Nazi flag shooters look at the holes on this flag.”
But one fan said: “That is NOT cool. Even if I know you’re against the Nazi regime, it is INACCEPTABLE to pose in front of a swastika flag. Sorry Michelle, but that’s over the top.”
Earlier the 32-year-old posed with a massive weapon, saying: “Love me some range shootin;)” Her new film, ‘Machete’, was partly shot on location in Austin.

Is it just dumb or is it offensively dumb? I think the important little fact here is that the flag had been shot to hell, although it?s difficult to notice that right away. For some reason, that makes a difference, to me at least. It?s not like M-Rod was photo-bombing Hitler, for goodness sake, she was trying to point out that Texas rednecks had shot up a Nazi flag. Eh. Still? it?s in poor taste.

Looking simply stunning, Hayden Panettiere attended the 2010 World Music Awards at the Sporting Club in Monte Carlo, Monaco on Tuesday (May 18).
The actress looked stylish in a form-fitting mini dress and open-toed shoes with her hair pinned up as she shared a laugh with fellow attendee Michelle Rodriguez.
While Hayden smiled for the camera, it was recently announced that "Heroes" may be canceled by NBC after four seasons.
The network?s schedule was leaked on Sunday morning after reporters snuck into their upfront rehearsal and noted that the show had been cut due to high costs and low ratings.
While the show may be going off the air, it will be replaced by another superhero show about a framed cop who goes into hiding and becomes a superhero called "The Cape".

Enjoying some time overseas, Michelle Rodriguez was spotted at the “Festival di Sanremo” Italian song contest in San Remo, Italy last night (February 17).
The “Fast and Furious” babe looked super sexy in a black strapless dress as she hammed it up for the crowd at the Ariston Theater.
And while her film “Avatar” is up for multiple awards at this year’s Oscars, Michelle told press she won’t be attending the ceremony.
“Noooo, because that’s a tough ticket! I think that’s for the guys who put most time into the project, that’s for the lead cast that was there for four years busting their b**ts, all the special effects guys, the editors involved. James Cameron, the production team, let them go to the forefront and I’ll go celebrate afterwards, at all the parties I’ll be there to hug them and support!”

Michelle Rodriguez shocked guests with her behaviour during the four-day event. During the bachelorette party for Chersich’s bride, Dominican TV personality Celines Toribio, the 30-year-old actress brought the evening to a halt after a run-in with a male exotic dancer. Michelle was angry when the stripper asked for a volunteer at the beginning of his routine and asked the woman to kneel down. According to the New York Post newspaper, she reportedly shouted: “That’s bulls**t. He should be kneeling for her - this is a bachelorette party.”
