Gearing up for her hosting duties with Amy Poehler, Tina Fey showed up at the 70th Golden Globe Awards earlier tonight (January 13).
The ?30 Rock? starlet mingled with the all-star attendees while rocking her award season best before heading inside the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Aside from running the show, Miss Fey is also up for an award for Best Actress in a Television Series ? Comedy or Musical alongside Zooey Deschanel, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Lena Dunham, and Miss Poehler.
Other big contenders include the Best Motion Picture-Drama between ?Argo,? ?Django Unchained,? ?Life of PI,? ?Lincoln,? and ?Zero Dark Thirty.?
Additionally, Jodie Foster will be awarded the Cecil B. DeMille award, putting her in the company of past female winners like Judy Garland, Joan Crawford, Sophia Loren, Lucille Ball, and Barbara Streisand.

In anticipation of its spring release, Focus Features has unveiled a second trailer for the upcoming film, "Admission."
The Paul Weitz-directed film follows Portia Nathan, a Princeton admissions officer who is up for a major promotion and takes a professional risk after she meets a college-bound alternative school kid who just might be the son she gave up years ago in a secret adoption.
Tina Fey stars as the admissions officer, alongside Paul Rudd, Michael Sheen, and Wallace Shawn.
Fans will have to wait until March 8th to see it hit theaters, but check out the second trailer below.

If you?ve read Tina Fey?s Bossypants (which I sincerely hope you have), you know that there are few people Tina Fey admires and loves more than Amy Poehler. Tina is very open about her girl-crush on all things Poehler. I?ve never really heard Amy go on and on about how she feels about Tina, but I assume that the feeling is mutual. These two ladies love each other. And when they are together, magic happens! So I can?t believe it?s taken this long for some event organizer or producer to say, ?Huh, we should get Tina and Amy to co-host this event.? Which is what just happened ? Tina and Amy will co-host the 2013 Golden Globes! HUZZAH.
Seth who? A couple of weeks after the Oscars landed MacFarlane, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has managed to top the Academy’s unconventional pick, booking two majorly funny stars for their show’s 2013 ceremony: Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.
HFPA’s president, Dr. Aida Takla-O’Reilly (along with dick clark productions and NBC) announced Monday that the actresses (and former Saturday Night Live costars) will co-host coverage of this year’s Golden Globes, airing Sunday, January 13.
“The unparalleled comedic timing of Tina and Amy will surely have viewers wanting to tune-in to see them in action,” Takla-O’Reilly shared. “The HFPA is thrilled to have the magnetic duo be a part of the show’s 70th anniversary!”
“Having both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on board to host this year’s festivities is a major coup,” Paul Telegdy, President of NBC Entertainment’s Alternative and Late Night Programming, added.
“Tina and Amy have a proven chemistry and comedic timing from their many years together on SNL to their successful co-starring roles in Baby Mama.”

I think this is smart, especially after two years of Ricky Gervais?s hit-or-miss act. In 2011, Gervais was kind of over-the-top and vicious (even Robert Downey Jr. thought so), and then when Ricky returned earlier this year, he made a big deal about how he was still going to be ballsy and offensive, and it turned out to be one of his meeker performances. I trust that Amy and Tina will be able to find a nice balance between snarking on the celebrities in the audience and celebrating Hollywood. Now I kind of hope George Clooney will turn up? just because? OMG the jokes.

Spending the evening on the red carpet, Tina Fey joined in on the Tinseltown festivities by attending the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (September 23).
The Vivienne Westwood clad "30 Rock" actress received a warm welcome at the Nokia Theatre LA Live venue as she eased her way inside to get settled in for the always-entertaining toast to television's finest.
As for the show, the 2012 Emmys are set to broadcast live on ABC beginning at 8PM ET/5PM PT.
Taking care of hosting duties is late night funnyman Jimmy Kimmel while Miss Fey's fellow presenters include names such as Claire Danes, Kerry Washington, Zooey Deschanel, Julianna Margulies, Amy Poehler, Melissa McCarthy, Alec Baldwin and the beautiful Julianne Moore.
As for the nominees, HBO is the top network with 81 bids while "American Horror Story" and "Mad Men" are the show frontrunners with 17 chances at Emmy glory apiece.

Tina Fey has been one of Lindsay Lohan?s biggest champions ever since they did Mean Girls together. Tina wrote/adapted Mean Girls and she took a supporting part in the film, which Lindsay starred in. Years passed, and with every cracktastrophe Lohan finds herself in, she?s always identified as ?the ?Mean Girls? actress.? And as the years passed, Tina Fey has continued to prove herself time and time again as one of the great comedic writers and actresses of her generation, and a true role model for young women.
Over the past few years, Tina has taken to ?mentoring? younger female comedians, to mixed results. Fey is one of Olivia Munn?s biggest supporters, promoting Olivia?s talents in interviews and even speaking on Olivia?s behalf to producers and directors. The problem? Olivia Munn isn?t all that and it feels like Fey is wasting her efforts on someone who is not only unworthy, but who is actually a standard-issue dumb famewhore with minimal talent. Speaking of, let?s get back to the Cracken. When I first heard that Lindsay had gotten the SNL gig, my first thought was, ?Tina Fey pulled some strings for Lindsay.? Tina just refuses to admit that the talented young actress she worked with years ago is now a violent, arrogant, entitled crackhead mess (who has used up all of her ?second chances?). The NYDN has a report on just how much Tina Fey was doing behind the scenes to help Lohan:
Tina Fey couldn?t be there for Lindsay Lohan?s ?Saturday Night Live? comeback. The comedy goddess ? who cast LiLo in her 2004 movie ?Mean Girls? and has since functioned as a one-woman cheering section for the trouble doll ? was conspicuously absent from the 25-year-old actress? return to NBC?s fabled Studio 8H.
Although one source familiar with the situation says the ?30 Rock? creator declined Lohan?s personal invitation to witness her performance, Fey?s spokeswoman says, ?Tina was committed to doing the monologue with Lindsay but both of her children got sick.?
?She was unable to participate as planned,? the rep adds.
An insider says Fey was well into a draft of an opener that would have featured her and Lohan but had to unexpectedly pull out of the broadcast. Oddly enough, Lohan?s monologue was the strongest part of her ?SNL? performance, but Fey?s spokeswoman could not give us an answer as to whether any of the lines that LiLo spoke were crafted by the former ?SNL? head writer.
While Jimmy Fallon and Jon Hamm appeared on-camera with Lohan and Paul Rudd cheered on the actress from the green room, Fey was not in the house.
Her absence sparked murmurs that, after years of defending Lohan, she?d finally washed her hands of the actress, who?s desperate to make a comeback after years of bad behavior.
In October 2010, during an appearance on Bravo?s ?Watch What Happens Live,? Fey told host Andy Cohen: ?(Lindsay?s) so great, and such a beautiful girl,? adding, ?I hope she gets well.?
When Lohan first hosted ?SNL? in May 2005, Fey went so far as to take part in an intervention with ?SNL? Executive Producer Lorne Michaels and others who were concerned about the then-rising star?s hard-partying lifestyle.
LiLo talked about the confrontation in a February 2006 Vanity Fair interview.
?They sat me down literally before I was going to do the show, and they said, ?You need to take care of yourself,? ? Lohan told the mag. ? ?We care about you too much, and we?ve seen too many people do this,? and I just started bawling. I knew I had a problem and I couldn?t admit it,? Lohan said.
As we reported on Monday, despite telling ?Today? anchor Matt Lauer that nightclubbing ?was not my thing anymore,? Lohan partied past 4 a.m. at Chinatown hotspot Le Baron on Friday morning. She returned Sunday morning after the ?SNL? after-party at Kibo.
Although Lohan ? who was hosting ?SNL? for the third time ? got mixed reviews for her performance, the show brought in the time slot?s highest ratings of the season.
Lohan?s spokesman said he had ?no idea if Lindsay invited Tina Fey? to watch her perform.

I think the fact that Tina?s rep even came out with an excuse for why Fey wasn?t there proves that Tina is still in Lindsay?s corner. I feel the same way about this as I do about Robert Downey Jr?s continued support of Mel Gibson. I admire Tina?s (and RDJ?s) incredible loyalty to a friend, but please don?t ask me to accept that Lohan (or Gibson) has ?changed? or that they?re ?sorry? for their past actions. It feels like Lindsay is exploiting Tina?s friendship and loyalty, and at the end of the day, Tina could and should find worthier talents to foster, mentor and promote.

Joining in on the abuzz atmosphere at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Tina Fey made her grand arrival ahead of the 69th Golden Globe Awards on Sunday evening (January 15).
The comedic actress brought her undeniable charm as she worked the red carpet in a fuchsia Oscar de la Renta tulle strapless embroidered gown.
Among the esteemed trophy contenders, Miss Fey was up for Best Actress in a TV Series Comedy or Musical for her work on "30 Rock" though she ended up being edged out by Laura Dern.
As for the ceremony, Ricky Gervais hosted the Golden Globe Awards while Morgan Freeman received the Cecil B. DeMille Award for career achievement.

Hard at work on location in New York City, Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin were spotted at Columbus Circle today (November 30).
The ?30 Rock? costars filmed scenes on an outdoor set while fans and paparazzi looked on from afar.
New episodes of the hit NBC comedy will return in the New Year beginning Thursday, January 12th.
Meanwhile, ?30 Rock? Season Five recently received a four-star review from Us Weekly for its continual inventive showbiz satire.

Starting off her workday on a high note, Tina Fey was spotted filming scenes for "30 Rock" in New York City's Rockefeller center earlier today (October 5).
Showing off her musical prowess, the "Baby Mama" actress could be heard singing along with her iPod as she danced through the streets for what's sure to be one hilarious skit for the hit show.
In other news, the leading funny lady looks to be pulling in a massive amount of loot for her time on-air - tying "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria on Forbes' list of highest paid television actresses.
While both Fey and Longoria earned themselves whopping $13 million between May 2011 and May 2011, stars like Marcia Cross, Mariska Hargitay of Marg Helgenberger didn't end up to bad themselves - making a cool $10 million each.

Tina Fey gave birth to a character from Greek mythology! Yay! Last Wednesday, Tina Fey gave birth to her second daughter, who she named Penelope Athena. Yes, Tina Fey is totally Greek (she?s actually only half-Greek, I believe). Thoughts on the name? I don?t hate it - but I?ve always liked the name Penelope. Athena is kind of meh, but I doubt anyone will call the little girl Athena. She?s not an Onassis, after all. Penelope joins her five-year-old big sister Alice, who is amazing. Tina is 41 years old - and her husband, Jeff Richmond, is 50.
Tina Fey, already mom to 5-year-old Alice, has introduced a new addition to the family.
The 30 Rock star welcomed a healthy baby girl, Penelope Athena Richmond, on Wednesday with her composer husband Jeffrey Richmond, 50, her rep tells PEOPLE.
The multiple Emmy-winner joked with Ellen DeGeneres during her pregnancy that she and her husband wanted to wait to discover the baby’s gender. “I’m just going to see what it chooses to wear to prom,” Fey said at the time.
The comedian also called her second pregnancy “easy.”
The Bossypants author, 41, first revealed her pregnancy to Oprah Winfrey in April.
She spoke about agonizing over having a second kid ? but explained how she and her husband decided it was time to expand their family.
Said Fey at the time: “My husband and I really decided that we felt rather than risk having 30 Rock end in several years and feeling like part of our family is missing that we were going to prioritize our family.”

Congratulations to the happy family! Not only was this pregnancy ?easy? for Tina, it was one of those rare celebrity pregnancies that didn?t feel like it went on for a year and a half (side-eye at January Jones). Plus, Tina looked super-cute while pregnant too.
I?m secretly thrilled that Tina had another girl, by the way. The world needs more hairy, smart, sassy Greek girls.

This Tracy Morgan thing continues to be a Thing. Go here for Friday?s post on what went down. Just a quick recap - about a week ago, Tracy was performing in Nashville and he pretty stopped his comedy routine to do a full-blown rant full of ridiculously offensive anti-gay hate speech. No one said anything until a gay activist - who was in the audience - blogged about it on Facebook, and then everything went crazy. After the story came out on Thursday and Friday, Tracy released an apology. Shortly after Tracy released his apology, Tina Fey released an interesting statement:
I’m glad to hear that Tracy apologized for his comments. Stand-up comics may have the right to “work out” their material in its ugliest and rawest form in front of an audience, but the violent imagery of Tracy’s rant was disturbing to me at a time when homophobic hate crimes continue to be a life-threatening issue for the GLBT Community.
It also doesn’t line up with the Tracy Morgan I know, who is not a hateful man and is generally much too sleepy and self-centered to ever hurt another person.
I hope for his sake that Tracy’s apology will be accepted as sincere by his gay and lesbian coworkers at 30 Rock, without whom Tracy would not have lines to say, clothes to wear, sets to stand on, scene partners to act with, or a printed-out paycheck from accounting to put in his pocket.
The other producers and I pride ourselves on 30 Rock being a diverse, safe, and fair workplace.

I think Tina struck the right cord there, basically giving the impression that while she accepted Tracy?s apology, he was on notice, all while standing up for him as a friend. Meanwhile, Tracy?s 30 Rock costar Cheyenne Jackson, an openly gay actor, went to Out Magazine to release a statement: “I am disgusted and appalled by Tracy Morgan’s homophobic rant. The devastating repercussions of hate-filled language manifest in very real ways for today’s LGBTQ youth. I’ve known Tracy for two years, spent many long hours with him on set, and I want to believe that this behavior is not at the core of who he is. I’m incredibly disappointed by his actions, and hope that his apology is sincere.” Other performers and Hollywood types have been tweeting and blogging about all of this too - you can see some coverage here as well. My take is that people who KNOW Tracy and who have a comedy background seem to think that this was just a comedy bit that went way, WAY off-base, and that he?s not really like this as a person.
