Treating herself to some serious pampering, Kate Bosworth hit up a hair salon in Beverly Hills yesterday afternoon (October 4).
The ?Superman Returns? actress looked cute and casual in a black tank top with charcoal grey trousers as she strolled out of the building and headed for her car.
And while she definitely dresses to impress these days, Kate confessed that in her younger years that wasn?t necessarily the case.
"When I was 16, I wasn't style- conscious at all. I wore a lot of J Crew and Gap when they weren't nearly as cool as they are now."
Bosworth also noted that the teens in London are better-dressed than their counterparts elsewhere in the world. "Recently I popped to London's Oxford Street on a Saturday afternoon. The thing that struck me was how unbelievably trendy all the young girls walking down the street were. The people-watching there is amazing."

Kate Bosworth announced her engagement to Michael Polish in August, when she referred to him as her ?fianc? in a blog post on Vogue. But Kate wasn?t sure if we got the point, so one month later, she posted a photo of her engagement ring on Twitter with yet another confirmation. That was last week. Since then, Kate and Michael have been seen and photographed nearly every day, and in every photo op, Kate has been showing off her ring. These photos are from yesterday?s daily ?Look at my engagement ring!? photo op.
Now, I understand. I get it. She?s happy, she?s in love, and she got the ring, and she wants to show it off. I think it?s cute to a certain extent ? she?s really proud and she wants all of the photographers to get a good shot of it. But at a certain point, doesn?t it seem like overkill? Doesn?t it seem like business as usual in the famewhore game? She already tweeted a photo of the ring. Does she need to walk around with her left hand propped up for the rest of the month? I?m really asking. When I get a new piece of jewelry, I show it off too. I keep fiddling with it and looking at it (if it?s a ring or something). Maybe it?s just like that?
Or maybe Kate is wandering around with her hand up, giving the paparazzi a good shot, and she?s thinking to herself, ?Yes, eat your heart out, Alex Skarsgard! I moved on to someone better!?

Adding a little glamor to the gritty urban background, Kate Bosworth and fiance Michael Polish walked the New York City streets on Friday (September 7).
The monochromatically dressed couple held hands with the "Straw Dogs" actress wearing a silky beige sleeveless dress with wedge sandals and her beau dressed in all black.
On Tuesday, the 29-year-old actress posted a black and white photo on Twitter of herself with her diamond engagement ring prominently displayed.
She tweeted, "This photo was taken by my husband-to-be! Thank you all for the wonderful engagement wishes... We feel truly blessed."

Getting her nails done for Labor Day weekend, Kate Bosworth headed to the ONA Spa and Nail Salon in West Hollywood on Friday (August 31).
The "Straw Dogs" star wore a crisp white sleeveless dress that buttoned down to a brown belt at the waist and brown sandals while she inspected her newly polished nails.
Recently, the 29-year-old actress revealed her engagement to director Michael Polish on her Vogue online travel blog.
The two were first spotted together last August when they attended a Coldplay concert together in Los Angeles. Her fiance will direct the "Blue Crush" star in the upcoming indie flick "Big Sur." The movie recounts the events surrounding author Jack Kerouac's three brief sojourns to a cabin in Big Sur, California.
Kate spoke to MTV about the film and Kerouac, saying, "it's his last novel so he was quite literally killing himself by that point in his life, drinking himself to death. So it's an account of a man losing his mind and his soul in the woods and documenting it."

It?s been a while since I?ve written about Kate Bosworth. It?s not that there weren?t new photos ? The Bos can?t go a week without being pap?d, you know. It?s just that? The Bos is kind of boring these days. She?s loved up with director Michael Polish, she doesn?t have much of a career, and she?s just? I don?t know? so try-hard? Anyway, back in April, we had a lot of new photos of The Bos and Polish at Coachella. Some eagle-eyed commenters noticed that Kate and Michael seemed to be wearing wedding-y looking rings. A tabloid later claimed that Kate and Michael had already ?exchanged vows? in some kind of Buddhist wedding ceremony, and while I wouldn?t put it past her, I tended to think that if (and when) Kate and Michael get married, she?ll really make it into a big deal. She?ll try to score a magazine cover with her wedding.
Here?s further proof of my theory? Kate confirmed that Michael is ?her fianc? for the first time? in VOGUE. Because that?s what private people do, y?all. They confirm their engagement in a Vogue travel blog. Here?s the first paragraph of Kate?s first-person blog post about Seoul, South Korea:
On our first day in Seoul, my fianc, Michael Polish, and I venture out to discover Changdeokgung Palace. As soon as we enter, it is like magically being transported to a different world?this awe-inspiring, sprawling place was originally built in 1405. We explore ancient towers, pavilions, and the beautiful ?secret gardens,? and the feeling is serene, peaceful, and ancient. What is interesting about Seoul is the juxtaposition between modern-day skyscrapers, towering over ancient preserved buildings. So, they?re engaged. For real. She just said it in Vogue. How does this make you feel? Relieved that it’s not Alex Skarsgard? Mad that she gets her own Vogue travel blog? Jealous that she’ll be the slimmest bride ever? Well, I?m kind of happy for her. I hope that she and Michael are happy together. I hope she hustles the hell out of her wedding and drops little tidbits to People about who is designing her wedding gown and what her ?something borrowed? is. Congrats, Bos.
