Not letting her pregnancy hamper plans for a fun-filled Halloween holiday, Beyonce Knowles was busy buzzing around New York City on Monday night (October 31).
Surrounded by bodyguards, the expecting singer covered up her burgeoning bump as she prettied up the scene at The Darby restaurant in her bright yellow and black bumble bee costume.
The Halloween excursion comes just as it has been announced the Beyonce will be releasing a 26-song DVD set titled Live At Roseland taken from her intimate concert at the venue back in August of this year.
With the Walmart exclusive offering to be released on November 21, the DVD package will be followed by a Live At Roseland: The Elements Of 4 deluxe package with the show plus numerous extras set to be made available for purchase on November 29.

These are photos of Beyonce in NYC this week - I think they?re from Monday (the black pants & blue shirt) and Tuesday (the fug acid-trip blouse). I?m so tired of talking about the state of her bump, so can I just ignore it today? Please? You can talk about it if you want, just leave me out of it.
This week?s tabloids are full of Bey & Jay information, especially about their baby-to-be. According to In Touch Weekly, they know they?re having a girl, and Bey is having a blast shopping for her little princess:
We know that Beyonce and Jay-Z already know the sex of their baby, and now close friends have spilled the beans to In Touch magazine ? it?s a girl!
?Beyonce is thrilled she?s having a daughter,? a friend confided.
Although friends say the couple would be happy to have a boy or girl, Beyonce had secretly hoped for a daughter!
?She and her mother are so close, and she?s wanted to have that relationship with her own child,? the friend explained.
The star can?t wait to have a mini-Beyonce, and she?s eager to start playing dress up with her baby. So eager, she?s been going on expensive shopping sprees according to the mag!
?Her family?s afraid there won?t be anything left to buy for the baby shower in December!? the friend joked.
It?s been reported that the couple are building a 2,200 square foot nursery, and they?ll need that space if Beyonce keeps buying baby items from stores ranging from Gap to Gucci! She?s even asked her mom Tina to design the nursery room, and her friend revealed that the singer spent more than $100,000 on a round crib, changing table and other furnishings!
However, Jay-Z has one request for the room ? a Yankees mobile! ?Jay-Z wants a Yankees mobile hanging above the crib,? the friend said. ?He?s a huge Yankees fan and wants to share that with his child ? boy or girl.? Beyonce?s agreed. ?She caved on that demand, since he?s letting her select everything else,? the friend laughed.
Beyonce?s life has definitely been taken over by the pregnancy. A friend said she?s had pregnancy cravings for Popeyes chicken and ice cream with hot chili sauce! And she turned to Gwyneth Paltrow for advice about morning sickness ? the actress told her to lay loose diamonds on her belly!
In Touch also reports that they?ve picked their new daughter?s godparents! The lucky girl will have Gwyneth for a godmother and Kanye West for her godfather.
[From Holly Baby]
Loose diamonds on the belly as a cure for morning sickness? FOR REAL? Of course that came from Gwyneth. I?m surprised Goop?s ?home remedies? don?t involve albino elephant tusks and clubbing baby seals. And Gwyneth for godmother? We?ll never hear the end of that if it happens. ?My dear best friend Beyonce and my goddaughter Jayonce Gwynonce are coming to visit me in Gstaad! We?re going to rub diamonds on ourselves!?
Other bits and pieces from this week?s tabloids: According to Life & Style, Beyonc and Jay-Z have a $500,000 Mercedes-Benz minivan that is “more like a private jet” than a car. It has Wi-Fi, leather seats, desks and a flat-screen TV. And a shower, within a full bathroom. So it?s not so much a minivan as a gigantic trailer.
Also, Beyonc and Jay-Z are organizing and decorating three “superchic” baby nurseries for their homes in Miami, Manhattan and Scarsdale. Star Mag claims that each nursery is running about $250,000 each. A source says, ?Beyonce wants 18k gold trim on everything. The crib is like a mini four-poster bed with silk curtains, and they?re going to town with the cashmere throws. Plus, there?s a top-of-the-line sound system with an iPod dock so they can play the baby nursery rhymes, and a flat-screen TV that comes down from the ceiling. With the help of their decorator, they?ve picked a mixture of calming tones and colors, combined with some serious glamour!? And Gwyneth strikes again - ?The nurseries will be identical, so no matter which home they are in the baby will feel at ease ? which was completely Gwyneth Paltrow?s idea!? Oh, and Jay-Z wants to do a baby wear line for his Roc Kids clothing line.
Oh, and Bey has another new music video. Here?s ?Party?. Her wigs go from ?good? to ?OMG, WTF??

Showing off her burgeoning baby bump along with her fierce fashion sense, mom-to-be Beyonce Knowles arrived in style to an afternoon meeting in New York City today (October 24).
Looking radiant in a bright blue ensemble, the "Best Thing I Never Had" singer dressed in a patterned scarf, light jacket and belly-hugging black top as she tended to work duties.
Meanwhile, various reports claim the expectant momma and her hip-hop mogul beau Jay-Z are in the midst of constructing an extravagant 2,200-square-foot nursery in their Tribeca apartment for the bundle of joy to enjoy.
Furthermore, Beyonce is getting momified with a more family friendly set of wheels, reportedly trading in her Maybach for a million-dollar, custom-made Mercedes van!

Seriously, Beyonce? I feel like she?s just trying to get us to talk about her endlessly at this point, and that?s why she continues to play everybody?s favorite new game, The Magical Inflating and Deflating Bump. These are photos of Bey from Tuesday (in that silver-grey sweater) and Wednesday (in all black). The difference in bump sizes is RADICALLY different in just two days? time. And it?s not like her baby bump is growing consistently, either. On Tuesday, it looks like maybe she?s five or six months pregnant:
And then yesterday, she looks like she?s maybe just got out of her first trimester:
WTF, Bey? Is it just a matter of her wanting to bumpwhore (famewhoring the real or alleged bump)? Or is it a matter of laziness on her part, like she gets bored with always padding it, and sometimes she just wants to go natural? I have no idea.
Tina Knowles is talking about her daughter?s pregnancy too. Tina told Life & Style that Bey and Jay do know what they?re having, but they don?t want the gender out there. Tina also says that Bey has already gone through morning sickness, ?but she’s got past it now? She’s doing really good. She’s busy. She’s craving waffles. The normal - just wanting to eat!” You can read more here.
Do you want to see the video of Bey?s deflated bump again? I love it so much. I?m also adding an update from that Australian show, which showed a new angle.

Shortly removed from releasing her "Countdown" video, Beyonce Knowles continues to churn out new material for her fans' viewing pleasure.
Most recently, the expecting singer has offered up another brand new music video accompanying her single "Love On Top".
In the just over three-minute piece, Beyonce can be seen donning a pilot's hat with a black leotard as she dances while joined by an all-male backup crew.
The song happens to be the one chosen for performance by Miss Knowles at the 2011 MTV VMAs - which came just as she announced that she's pregnant with her first child.

Here are some newish photos of Beyonce and her ?bump? in NYC a few days ago - she made sure everybody got photos of her huge bump (in heels) after the fake-bump debacle. What can we glean from these photos? As I?ve said before, I think Beyonce is really pregnant. There?s a baby in there, somewhere, underneath the padding. I think you can tell she?s pregnant from her boobs (which look much fuller) and her face, which seems only slightly fuller. What I keep saying, however, is that the bumps don?t match up with the timeline, and they don?t match from day to day. I?m pretty sure this is the same collapsible pillow that we saw in the now-infamous video. I want to show it again!
Same size. As for the rationale behind the padding? I still think it?s just for famewhoring. Because she jumped the gun and debuted her bump at the VMAs before she was really showing, and now she just loves the attention her various-sized pillows bring. I mean, this is the most we?ve talked about her in a while.
Oh, and you know she?s designing a maternity line now, right? She?ll do it for House of Dereon - at least that?s what she said in Harper?s Bazaar: “All I see now are clothes that are flattering on a pregnant woman. It’s been so exciting for me! I love figuring out designs that still make me feel edgy and sexy while pregnant. Flowy fabrics are always flattering. But I still rock my stilettos.? See, I do think she’s so excited to be pregnant, she jumped the gun a little bit with her bump debut. But that still doesn’t excuse all of the lies and BS.

| Beyonce's rep blasts 'stupid, ridiculous and false' fake-bump stories | Added 13 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here?s what I don?t understand: why is everyone bending over backwards to insult and patronize Beyonce?s critics? Ever since the video of Beyonce?s Sunday Night interview came out - complete with her baby bump ?magically? folding in on itself as she sat down, Bey?s stans have been pulling out their hair that anyone would dare question The Beyonce Bump. She?s a celebrity, not Jesus. She?s not untouchable, and in my mind, I think it?s perfectly valid to ask ?WTF?? when viewing the collapsing ?bump?. You want to see it again?
Now legitimate, mainstream media outlets are getting into to it too - from People and Us Weekly to ABC News and the Washington Post. They?ve all run stories about the ?bump conspiracies?. It?s getting so bad Beyonce?s publicist Yvette Noel-Schure even had to come out and do some damage control, telling ABC News, ?Stupid, ridiculous and false.? BITCH PLEASE.
But since everybody is debating the bump and whether or not it?s real and why it looks like it?s collapsing on itself, let me just lay out my theory. I?m sorry I haven?t done this clearly before now, but I thought I already said some of this when the bump conspiracies came out. My conspiracy theory:
* Beyonce is actually pregnant. This is not a surrogate situation where Beyonce is wearing a fake bump to simply pretend she?s pregnant, and she?s going to pass off a someone else?s baby as her own.
*It?s debatable whether she?s due in February, but that?s what she claims, so I?m guessing it?s probably true-ish. Maybe the baby will be ?late? and she?ll end up giving birth in March. We?ll see. My take is that she?s not as far along as everyone thinks she is. If she?s due in late February/early March, that means she?s about 4-and-a-half months right now.
*Beyonce is wearing a fake bump for the simplest of reasons: famewhorin?. She started wearing a prosthetic bump at the VMAs, when she did her big bump ?debut? - when she was only about 12 weeks along and she magically had a nice-sized ?bump? which she cradled lovingly for the cameras. She didn?t have a big enough bump on her own (remember how flat and fit she was just days earlier?), and she wanted to be the center of attention at the VMAs. She strapped on a prosthetic, and she created her own media-storm.
*For why? Because her latest album sucked, and it was the worst-reviewed album of Bey?s career. Beyonce did what any good con artist does: draws your eye to something else. Plus, she now gets to play the ?I?m going to be a mother!? card to the hilt and introduce herself to the Mother Mafia fanbase.
*So now that Bey is presumably showing, why is she still wearing a prosthetic bump? I don?t know. But I do know that over the past month and half, every time Beyonce is photographed, her bump is a different size, and it goes up and down constantly. I honestly think Bey just wants the visual to be very powerful, and she thinks wearing a fake bump will be a bigger impact. Sometimes. Other times, she still wants to wander around NYC in a what amounts to a blouse and nothing else.
*Epilogue conspiracy theory: It might have something to do with deflecting attention from her recently tweaked face too. Several months ago, Bey debuted a new ?look? that I?ve had difficulty describing. I think it?s a nose job, but there?s something else in the eyebrows/eyes too. Now she gets to say that her face just changed because of pregnancy, I guess.

Beyonce covers the new issue of Harper?s Bazaar, with a Terry Richardson photo shoot and an epic interview. Damn, Beyonce can talk your ear off. The interview is so long, Bazaar had to split it up into two different parts, which you can read here and here. I?m going to try to do some of the highlights without going overboard. First, a word about the Terry Richardson shoot - it was done in the summer, before Bey started ?showing? (or before she got used to wearing a fake baby bump for attention). So that?s why there?s no bump in these photos. Okay, onto the highlights from the interview:
On revealing her bump at the VMAs: “I put a lot of thought into how I wanted to unveil it. It was important to me that I was able to do it myself? I was extremely nervous. It was the toughest red carpet I ever did. I didn’t want a crazy picture or gossip story to break the news? so I decided to say nothing and proudly show my baby bump. I felt it was more powerful to see the love and enthusiasm as opposed to saying anything.”
She?s working on a House of Dereon maternity line: “All I see now are clothes that are flattering on a pregnant woman? It’s been so exciting for me! I love figuring out designs that still make me feel edgy and sexy while pregnant. Flowy fabrics are always flattering? but I still rock my stilettos.?
Bey?s fashion inspirations: “I love Kate Moss. I think she has great style. And I always admire Victoria Beckham and Gisele [Bndchen]. Their style is modern but always classic.” Her longtime stylist Ty Hunter helps her put together ensembles even for her days off, and she and her team are considering hiring hot street-style photographer Tommy Ton to shoot behind the scenes. She’s also an online shopping junkie. “I spend too much money shopping on the Internet!” she moans.
Gwyneth speaks about their friendship: She and close friend Gwyneth Paltrow could probably talk fashion all day, but “our best times have been when we are just sitting around in sweatpants, having a glass of wine, chatting about life,” Paltrow says. “B is wise beyond her years. She has taught me the value of speaking your mind. She is clear and honest and true to herself while being respectful. She will be an incredible mother because she is so full of love and she knows who she is.” Beyonc has already had plenty of practice with Paltrow’s children, Moses and Apple, and Solange’s son, Daniel Julez. “With my kids she is easy and fun,” Paltrow says. “They know that she is interested in them, and they can tell when a grown-up is faking.”
The timing of her pregnancy was thought out: “It was important to me that I gave myself time to focus on becoming the woman I want to be, building my empire, my relationship, and my self-worth, before I became a mother. Now God has blessed us with the ultimate.”
On Jay-Z: She and Jay-Z are a deeply committed and extremely private couple, just as happy grabbing pizza in Brooklyn as they are yachting around the Mediterranean. “We have been together since I was 20 years old,” she says. “We took our time and developed an unbreakable friendship before we got married. I admire his ability to inspire others. To me, Jay represents the American dream. Jay’s music has helped define our generation. All that he has overcome and worked to achieve gives millions hope that they can become whatever they want to be. I respect him so much; he is a great man and a great artist.”
In a rare moment of candor about their relationship, she continues: “We focused three years on our marriage and found that it brought us an even stronger bond and connection. But like anything great and successful in your life, marriage takes hard work and sacrifice. It has to be something both you and your husband deeply want. The best thing about marriage is the amount of growth you have because you can no longer hide from your fears and insecurities. There’s someone right there calling you out on your flaws and building you up when you need the support. If you are with the right person, it brings out the best version of you.”
She doesn?t care what people think: “I am finally at the stage in my life where I am not so concerned with other people’s opinions about my life decisions. It is so liberating to really know what I want, what truly makes me happy, what I will not tolerate. I have learned that it is no one else’s job to take care of me but me.”
Bey on art: ?My mother has been an art collector and always taught me the value of art. She has encouraged me to invest in art since I can remember. The first artist I was truly inspired by was Vincent van Gogh. I was 17 and began doing my own paintings. I used to copy his style. When I was 20 I visited the Sistine chapel and saw Michelangelo’s work and it was one of the most spectacular experiences of my life. I then went on a tour around Europe and visited all the places Picasso and Matisse hung out. I then visited Art Basel and was exposed to all kind of contemporary artists. It got me into art that’s more abstract. Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring are two of my favorites but I appreciate so many contemporary artists. Art inspires me in so many ways. I use art as reference when I’m looking for inspiration for my performances, wardrobe or a video I might be working on. My husband and I collect all types of art from Basquiat and Warhol to Marilyn Minter.?
On FLOTUS: ?She is an amazing person, inside and out. She inspires me to want to do more, to want to know more about the world and work harder to make a difference.?
[From Harper?s Bazaar - two stories]
?I was 17 and began doing my own paintings. I used to copy his style.? And she?s still copying artists and passing the stuff off as her own. But Jesus Christ, even amongst Beyonce?s must insufferable comments (the soliloquy about marriage, for instance), Gwyneth Paltrow is still WORSE. Notice Bey doesn?t say anything about Gwyneth - and she doesn?t even name Gwyneth as one of her style inspirations! HAHAHA. But Gwyneth is going to force this friendship to the bitter end: ?B is wise beyond her years. She has taught me the value of speaking your mind. She is clear and honest and true to herself while being respectful. She will be an incredible mother because she is so full of love and she knows who she is.? STFU, Goop.

Beyonce just did an interview with the Australian show Sunday Night. Lots of people are talking about this interview, but it?s not all about the Beyonce quotes - it?s also about how weird her stomach looked at one point. First, the video and the quotes - Bey confirms that she?s due in February, which means that she conceived in late May, perhaps? Which means that she was probably about three months pregnant for her VMA debut, and she?s more than four months pregnant right now? Is my math right? Hmm? anyway, the video and quotes:
Beyonce on her pregnancy: ?It?s already has changed my life. My husband and I have been together for 10 years, all of my twenties? since I was 20 and we just feel like it?s time. I?m very grateful that God has blessed me with the biggest gift that any human being can have. I think because I?ve accomplished a lot of things for myself and I really know who I am. I didn?t rush into anything and I feel like if it?s any time, right now is the time and I?m so happy.”
The timing is right: “I think because I’ve accomplished a lot of things for myself and I really know who I am, I didn’t rush into anything. If there’s any time, right now is the time, and I’m so happy.”
On dancing: ?I?m a huge fan of dance and I always try to think of a new way to move the body. I try to treat choreography like I do a hit song and I try to think of the things that are going to make people want to dance and move around, dance in the club or dance at their school play or whatever.?
On her time off and firing her dad-manager: “It was a bit overwhelming. I was a bit numb and kind of lost. I never even realized I needed a year off. It didn?t matter where I was, I was in so many different places that it was like ?Okay, I?m just on the show, I?m performing, back in a hotel, ?Where am I?? ?What city am I in??? I?m doing the same thing and it became a ritual. It was a bit of an emotion in me that was missing because the world is so much bigger than the world screaming your name and that becomes almost like a fake world. You have to make sure you remember that that?s all great but that?s not who you really are. I’ve been managed by my father for a long time, and it’s been a real change being separated from him. It was scary, but it empowered me.”
[From Us Weekly & Beyond Gossip]
I had two favorite parts - one, I love when she?s trying to convince us that she?s only 30. That continues to crack me up, when she has to really sit there and think, ?Damn, was I with Jay throughout my actual 20s, or my fake 20s?? But my absolutely favorite part is when Beyonce sits down for the interview - around the :54 second mark - and her belly FOLDS IN ON ITSELF. As in, she?s wearing a prosthetic bump. Media Takeout has freeze-frames here - it?s ridiculous. So? all of the bump conspiracies have been right along. Of course.
