This is one story from the Daily Mail that I really, really hope is 100% gospel. The Mail?s sources are saying that Katie ?Zombie/Robot? Holmes stood up to Tom Cruise - and won! Allegedly, Katie put her foot down about Suri?s preschool education, and enrolled Suri in a Catholic pre-school rather than some Xenu-approved, Church of Scientology-affliated, barley water-drinking, Thetan-shunning, brainwashing academy. While the family is staying in Massachusetts (while Tom works on a film), Katie is making damn sure that Suri is getting a real preschool education. The Mail claims that Tom and Katie fought about it - but that Tom is going along with it for now:
Katie Holmes has won a battle with her Scientologist husband Tom Cruise to enrol their daughter Suri in a Catholic pre-school.
The Church of Scientology has always been a bone of contention between the couple and Tom wanted three-year-old Suri to be raised a Scientologist. But last week Katie enrolled the toddler at the Catholic Charities Yawkey Centre For Early Education And Learning in Boston, Massachusetts.
The family are living in the city while Tom, 47, films his new movie, the spy comedy thriller Wichita. Katie?s mother also flew in for her granddaughter?s first week at the pre-school.
?Katie has been listening to her parents who are devout Catholics,? I?m told.
?She is not convinced by Scientology and has told Tom that she wants Suri to be educated as a Catholic ? as she was. They had been having huge problems agreeing on her school. To say they were having arguments is putting it mildly ? but Tom came around to the idea in the end.?
Holmes, 30, has not been seen at the Church of Scientology for more than five months. But Cruise, who was also raised Catholic but converted to Scientology in 1990, remains an ardent follower.

While I hope this is true, something tells me that I shouldn?t hold my breath. Even if Suri is getting a taste of life without Xenu, that doesn?t mean that a few years from now her education won?t be totally CoS. Also, there have been rumors about Suri?s education for months now - once, another British source once claimed Tom and Katie were spending $1 million a year on special tutors and advanced classes for Suri, and I didn?t really buy that either.
In one other piece of Holmes-Cruise news, OK! Magazine (via Showbiz Spy) had a totally different spin on their relationship this week. While In Touch Weekly made it sound like their marriage was in danger because Tom wouldn?t just leave Katie alone with her zombie thoughts for two damn minutes, OK! claims that Katie is trying to convince Tom to lose weight - by having sex. With her. Not David Beckham.
A source told OK!: ?Tom had been complaining about how hard it is to keep off the pounds, so Katie vowed to help him out? Katie read somewhere that you burn up 600 calories just by having sex three to four times a week. So she?s told Tom to think about how much they?d burn up if they put daily sex sessions on their schedule! Tom thinks the sex order is the best part of Katie?s diet plan, and he?s promised to up the bedroom romps whenever they are in the same town just for the sake of his diet!? Oh, for the love of Xenu. Yeah? I?m sure Katie and Tom both want to lose weight by having sex. That must be why all of the photos in the past few weeks have been of the two of them jogging. Methinks neither of them wants to try the ?sex workout?.

Back out for another family romp, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes took daughter Suri for a walk in Boston, Massachusetts on Sunday (October 11).
Toting around a coffee drink, the former"Dawson’s Creek” damsel carried her little girl in her arms before setting her down and joining Tom in walking hand-in-hand around the east coast city.
Meanwhile, recent reports tell that TomKat recently enrolled Suri at the Catholic Charities Yawkey Centre For Early Education And Learning.
“Katie has been listening to her parents who are devout Catholics,” a source said of the decision. “She is not convinced by Scientology and has told Tom that she wants Suri to be educated as a Catholic — as she was.
“They had been having huge problems agreeing on her school. To say they were having arguments is putting it mildly — but Tom came around to the idea in the end.”

In Touch Weekly has a funny story about Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise. It?s all about how Tom is ?showering? Katie with attention ?in an attempt to hold her interest?. In other words, he?s over-stimulating his robot, and she needs to recharge. I should say this too - by almost every other report, Tom and Katie are fine and enjoying their time in Boston. While I think for a brief moment a few months back they might have been having problems, they seem pretty solid now. Katie genuinely seems happy (and not quite as zombie-like) on all of her Boston outings with Suri over the past few weeks. Anyway, here are some excerpts from IT?s story:
As their third wedding anniversary approaches in November, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are trying to make their marriage work.
While jogging together, instead of simply enjoying a leisurely run, Tom irritated Katie. ?He kept turning around backwards and shouting ?Harder! Faster!?? a witness says. ?She looked resentful, but he kept doing it? Katie prefers to jog alone, and that annoys her.?
Tom worries that Katie is pulling away, and it?s causing him to go into panic mode. Tom ?has been doing all he can to keep Katie happy? by pampering her with shopping sprees and massages, and even had her favorite cupcakes flown in from LA.
He also spent $50,000 remodeling one of Katie?s walk-in closets at their home in Beverly Hills. ?Tom is always making an effort to be a supportive husband and to keep Katie intrigued.?

Okay, there?s more to the story, but I just had to stop typing for a second because I was laughing too hard. One of the funniest sentences in the English language might be ?Tom is always making an effort to be a supportive husband and to keep Katie intrigued.? Seriously? We?re going with ?intrigued? as the feeling Tom wants to inspire? Mission. A-ccomplished. Perhaps next week they?ll say ?to keep Katie startled? or ?to keep Katie tormented and zombie-like? or ?to keep Katie totally in the dark about Tom’s sex with men?.
Anyway, the rest of the story is more of the same. Tom has plans to take Katie to the Maldives for their anniversary - that?s where they honeymooned. He also wants to run the New York marathon with her. God, could you imagine living with him? He seems like a hyperactive child. Katie has also been spending more time with her family, and they ?give her confidence?. Tom, IT claims, is worried because Katie has ?become more assertive? and her feelings towards Tom ?seem to be evolving?. Katie told Tom that she?s ?not entirely happy? and that she sometimes misses her freedom. Katie is also questioning what Tom says and does, and ?she doesn?t hang on his every word anymore and do whatever he wants.? Uh-oh. Why do I feel like Tom is less ?worried? and more ?scheduling an audit?? Break out the tin cans.

Still plugging away at his latest film “Wichita,” Tom Cruise received a visit from his wife Katie Holmes and daughter Suri today (October 8).
The “Minority Report” stud looked pleased to see his ladies as they hung out on the Boston, Massachusetts set while the nearby paparazzi snapped up pictures.
And it seems Tom has served as more than Katie’s husband over the years- he’s also her fashion consultant, as Holmes explained in her interview with Elle magazine.
Katie revealed, “Tom has great taste! He usually likes everything, but sometimes I’ll walk out and he’ll say, ‘I think that dress might be wearing you- you don’t need that.’”

Keeping occupied while situated on the east coast, Katie Holmes, her mother Kathy and daughter Suri were spotted out in Boston on Wednesday afternoon (October 7).
The three lovely ladies ventured over to the well-known Quincy Market, shopping at the GAP store and grabbing a bite to eat for lunch as Tom Cruise worked on the set of his new movie, “Wichita”.
Meanwhile, Katie just so happens to be the November covergirl for Elle magazine, in which she dished on juggling family life with work obligations.
She tells, “In my own life, my whole world really revolves around family. I do what I need to do, but it’s like, ‘How is everybody else doing?’ And it’s wonderful for me as an actress to put some of that into a character.”

She’s nabbed the cover of Elle magazine’s November issue, and Katie Holmes has a lot to say about family life and her affinity for believable vampires.
When asked about her devotion to husband Tom Cruise and daughter Suri, Katie explained, “In my own life, my whole world really revolves around family. I do what I need to do, but it’s like, ‘How is everybody else doing?’ And it’s wonderful for me as an actress to put some of that into a character.”
Katie also confessed to being a fan of vampire movies. “I even like vampire movies – they just have to be well done. I want to believe in the characters. The minute it starts to feel not real, I’m not interested.”
And when it comes to getting dressed, Ms. Holmes has a few names she prefers to put on. “I love Alaa, for sure. Stella McCartney. I like Ralph Lauren because I feel like it’s very American, and I’m pretty all-American, from Ohio. Isabel Marant and a new designer, Sari Gueron.”

The November issue of Elle is devoted to ?Women in Hollywood?. Katie Holmes is the cover girl, but they also profile Emily Blunt (love her), Julianne Moore (love her more), Renee Zellweger (meh) and Zoe Saldana (pretty girl, but meh to her as well). As for the cover shot, I actually like it. Katie looks very cute with her choppy, cute haircut. And her eyes are looking less zombie-esque (can they photoshop the zombie out?). The dress is alright, and it is nice to see Katie in a bright color, but the dress just shows off how very thin Katie is.
Everybody was interviewed, but none of them really had anything fascinating to say. Katie loves vampire movies (and yet, no mention of zombies). Emily loves being a character actress, and she bitches about aging in Hollywood (her picture is awful too - it?s like they were trying to make her look vacant). Julianne, who is by far one of the greatest actresses working today, was barely interviewed (but her photo is fab). Renee watches a lot of Katherine Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe movies (who doesn?t?). Zoe is zzzz?

Renee Zellweger-On actresses from earlier eras that have influenced her: ?For Leatherheads, I was thinking of Katharine Hepburn, the way she leaned forward with her shoulders back, speaking in her lower register the whole time. I like her confidence, her intelligence, her sense of entitlement. When I was making Chicago, I couldn?t stop watching the Marilyn [Monroe] videos. Not so much because of the sex kitten thing; it was more her vulnerability. That was a huge part of the Roxie character. But it?s not about emulating; it?s about a feeling.?
-On whether a successful movie career requires sacrificing your personal life: ?A friend of mine couldn?t decide between moving to New York or staying in L.A., and another friend said, ?Do Everything!? I thought, That?s it, do everything.?
Zoe Saldana-On being known as a beautiful Hollywood actress: ?I?m sorry, but it?s sexy to know that guys find you attractive. It?s empowering.?

Eh, I?m just going to avoid talking about the other girls, and just focus on my girl Julianne. She?s got two films coming out this fall/winter, and both look interesting. First, there?s Chloe, which doesn?t have a release date yet. Julianne plays a wife who suspects her husband is cheating, so she hires a hooker, Chloe, to seduce him. It stars Amanda Seyfried (as Chloe) and Liam Neeson (as the husband). The second film is Tom Ford?s directorial debut, A Single Man. Julianne plays a supporting role to Colin Firth, who is an early contender for Lead Oscar. Hopefully, we?ll be seeing Julianne on some red carpets this awards season too - she usually brings it, and I love her so much.

Enjoying a weekend break from filming, Tom Cruise was out and about with Katie Holmes, Suri and Connor in Boston, Massachusetts on Sunday (October 4).
Drawing looks from passerbys as they strolled the streets, the happy family ended up grabbing up a bite to eat at Charley’s Saloon in between a little retail therapy.
As previously reported by Gossip Center, Cruise and family are staying on the east coast as he films his new movie “Wichita” alongside Cameron Diaz.
Due out in July 2010, “Wichita” is described as “an action-comedy that begins when a small-town woman (Diaz) has a chance encounter with a mysterious man (Cruise). He is either the man of her dreams or, perhaps ... her nightmares. Amid shifting allegiances and unexpected betrayals, they are swept up in a whirlwind of globe-hopping adventure and world-changing secrets.”

Spending the day on set, Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise shared a precious family moment in Boston, Massachusetts on Friday afternoon (October 2).
With Katie and Suri on-hand as spectators, Tom spent a large part of the day shooting scenes for his new movie “Wichita” - including a little more stuntman work.
Co-starring Cameron Diaz, Cruise’s latest project is being directed by James Mangold and is due out in theaters on July 2, 2010.
A plot summary of the film via IMDB describes “Wichita” as: “An action-comedy that begins when a small-town woman (Diaz) has a chance encounter with a mysterious man (Cruise). He is either the man of her dreams or, perhaps ... her nightmares. The pair are in town spending time with Tom Cruise, who is currently busy filming “Wichita” alongside Cameron Diaz.
Meanwhile, Miss Holmes has just recently been busy launching her very own fashion line with celebrity stylist Jeanne Yang.
Of the venture, Katie told The Sun: “It has been my dream forever to be in fashion and I’m truly inspired by my daughter Suri. She just loves dressing up so I decided to launch this exciting venture with Jeanne.”
