LeAnn Rimes has a crazy new interview in this weekend?s Mail on Sunday. She?s promoting her Christmas album (it?s not a full album) and hustling like her life depends on it. Sometimes I do feel a little sorry for LeAnn, just because it seems weird to me that it?s THIS difficult for her to find a revenue stream that works out. She?s got a ton of money going out (she?s got to keep buying Eddie all of those toys) and barely anything coming in. But if Kim Kardashian can make stupid money, why not someone like LeAnn, you know? Anyway, you can read the whole Mail interview here ? LeAnn literally cries when a fan comes up to her. Some highlights:
Her wedding to Eddie: ?Our wedding was in Malibu at a friend?s house. We had chalkboards for guests to write messages on and I wrote, ?Thank God we lived through this.? We fought so hard to be together; there?s a bond between us that I think most people don?t have.?
She was the breadwinner at a young age: ?We struggled financially. But from the time I was seven I made $125 [around 80] every Saturday, singing at a music review show in Dallas. I bought all my own clothes. At one point I supported the family. Everyone in the family quit what they were doing to work with me.?
Guns: ?My dad taught me to shoot. Sadly, I had a gun in my hand at the age of two. Now I realise it probably wasn?t the smartest idea, but we?re from the South ? that?s what you did. My dad had hunting dogs, so he would hunt raccoons and birds.?
Being bullied by classmates: ?I always say: ?smart, pretty?unpopular?, because girls can be really jealous. I was terrified of school and I was bullied. When I was 11, a girl brought a knife to school and wrote me a note saying she was going to hurt me with it. Girls can be really mean, even now. It is sad that we can?t encourage each other. I think a lot of girls get intimidated by other people?s success.?
Depression: ?I had serious depression. People thought I had an eating disorder or was addicted to something. Not at all. I went into treatment for anxiety and depression. I had just turned 30 and I realised I couldn?t live like that any more. There were very dark moments, but I?m blessed that I had great friends I could call at 2am when I was crying. One of the biggest lessons I?ve learnt is that you can ask for help and it?s not a sign of weakness; it is a sign of strength.?
Falling for Eddie: ?I was meant to be with Eddie. Fans felt as though I was their daughter or sister making a big mistake when we got together, because they?ve grown up with me. But we both acted from our hearts and that?s impossible to turn around. Trust me, we both tried. Look, I?ve said ?I?m sorry? and made amends.?
Divorce is not an option: ?Eddie is my soulmate ? he and I completely get each other. We?re opposites ? I want to go shopping; he wants to ride dirt bikes ? but we bring out the best in each other. Divorce is not an option for us. Obviously if something horrible happened, I would have to take care of myself, but I don?t see that happening.?
Babies: ?I would love to have a kid with Eddie ? I hope it has his dimples! I?ve taken care of people my whole life, so for a long time the thought of having a child seemed exhausting, but I don?t feel that way any more. I?ve been working my whole life on the road, and I do wonder, ?How will I juggle that with a baby? What will have to change? Everything!? But I don?t want to wait too long. Having Eddie?s kids around has stirred something in me.?

I could unpack some of these quotes for days. ?Divorce is not an option for us.? Ha, yeah, we?ll see. I think divorce is not an option for HER. I think the only way LeAnn and Eddie would ever divorce is if he left her. And he?s not leaving her unless he finds a wealthier jumpoff. Also: ?I always say: ?smart, pretty?unpopular?, because girls can be really jealous.? Er? such a humble-brag. ?People bullied me because I was brilliant, beautiful, talented and super-humble, obviously.?
She also says she loves therapy and she talks about it as ?gaining tools? to live a better life. Now that I?m thinking about it? she must love therapy. She gets to talk about herself and spin out all of her conspiracies and the poor bastard therapist just has to sit there and listen.

Have you checked out LeAnn Rimes? relatively new ?official? Instagram page? I think she started it ? officially! ? to promote her Christmas EP. The thing is, I could have sworn that she?s had Instagram pages before now. Remember that hilarious IG page supposedly run by ?Eddie?? Anyway, her IG page has become just another outlet for her to channel her self-obsession. She?s been posting every day since she started it, and I?m including some of the more recent photos here. It?s worth noting? LeAnn?s ?Bonus Boys? are all over her social media these days. I know Brandi Glanville said she?s not going to feud with LeAnn anymore, but it feels like LeAnn is poking the bear. Like, ?I GOT YOUR KIDS, BRANDI, LOOK AT ME.?
Of course, LeAnn is still on Twitter. Apparently, she did a photoshoot for some country publication and she tweeted ?Nothing like a novocaine injection before a photo shoot.? Good God? this woman and her mouth drama. What else is going on? Let?s see? LeAnn will perform tomorrow night at the ?Billy Joel: Library of Congress Gershwin Prize? in DC. She?s headed to DC as we speak. She also posted an IG video of her ?practice session? for the event. Yodeling while dogs bark.

Here are some photos of LeAnn Rimes performing at the 2014 CMA Country Christmas at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Friday night. This is why LeAnn flew to Nashville last week ? I was mistaken when I assumed that she was heading to the CMA Awards on Thursday. Nope! Instead, she got to yodel some Christmas songs for the CMA Country Christmas thing, which I guess is a decent gig for her. She does have that Christmas EP coming out, so anything to increase sales and help pay for all of Eddie Cibrian?s toys.
Hilariously ? because LeAnn is such a drama queen and she uses ?illness? as an excuse to not work and demand that Eddie come to her, always ? LeAnn did try to create some illness drama around her performance, tweeting: ?Throat pain, hitting my sick low right now after 2 1/2 days of fighting it. Hopefully, tmrw morning will be a new, healthier day.? That was before the performance. She?s like a broken record! She only gets sick when she supposed to perform.
You know what occurred to me as I was considering the fact that LeAnn was in Nashville during the same time as the Country Music Awards, yet she didn?t go the CMAs? All of a sudden I realized that LeAnn is probably mad that she wasn?t nominated for any awards for Spitfire. She worked so hard! She yodeled so much about how difficult it was on her to homewreck her way through her marriage and Eddie?s marriage! And no one gave her any awards! Poor LeAnn.

LeAnn Rimes loves Halloween. She goes all-out every year, especially since she manages to get her ?Bonus Boys? every year for the holiday, I guess. LeAnn and Eddie Cibrian usually work a theme, coordinating their costumes somewhat successfully. One year they did a ?redneck? theme, with LeAnn looking trashy and Eddie wearing a mullet wiglet. One year they did a Grease theme, with LeAnn as Sandy and Eddie as Danny. This year, LeAnn and Eddie went old-school. Like, really old school. They were Lucy and Desi from I Love Lucy. Out of all the possibilities? this one makes some kind of stupid sense. Eddie is Cuban-American, like Desi Arnaz. LeAnn is? er, okay, she?s nothing like Lucille Ball.
I was sort of surprised that LeAnn didn?t tweet a crazy amount of photos. She posted the kissing pic of herself and Eddie with the message ?Lucy, I’m Home #firstofmany #HappyHalloween #havingthebesttimealready.? Shouldn?t Eddie say ?Lucy, I?m home?? #emasculating. LeAnn also posted a photo with her Bonus Boys, who dressed up like Green Arrow and the Joker.

As we all know, LeAnn Rimes is releasing a ?Christmas EP? of six yodeling Christmas songs which few people really want to hear. I tend to think this is a desperate cling to any kind of musical relevancy since her last three albums have flopped and every time LeAnn has to promote anything, it always becomes a carnival of delusion and lies. Not only is LeAnn going to promote the hell out of this sad EP, she?s also going to do a Christmas tour. She?s been trying to hype this tour for months now ? back in July, she released a video announcement of the tour which basically involved LeAnn strutting around the beach in a bikini. Go here to remember the stupidity. Well, now LeAnn has released Part II of the? video announcement of her tour. Basically, thirsty chica is thirsty. You should only watch this is you don?t mind cringing for a full three minutes.
The first 20 seconds, I swear it was going to turn into a budget p0rn. Like, that?s a Halloween-themed p0rn set-up. Scantily-clad blonde passing out candy. And then she would need to call the candyman to help her find some ?extra candy? or something. As for the scantily-clad blonde? she?s a unicorn, get it? What IS the deal with LeAnn and unicorns? She?s been making unicorn references for months now and I still don?t understand the metaphor. As for the rest of it? God, did she spend all of $20 on the production? And thinking about Christmas in the middle of the Halloween season is just depressing. Last thing: LeAnn is a God-awful actress. Like, really terrible.

Call me crazy, but this is a great shot of LeAnn Rimes, right? This is the cover for LeAnn?s new Christmas EP. As in, it?s not even a full Christmas album. And for what it?s worth, I think there were recordings of LeAnn singing most of these Christmas songs for years. I tend to think Christmas albums are a blatant money-grab, with most artists hoping to cash in on the hunger for Christmas music for one month out of the year. That being said, I loved the Christmas album Michael Buble put out a few years ago. That?s probably my favorite.
So, would you want to listen to LeAnn?s yodels during your Christmas holiday? Her EP includes the songs: Silent Night, Blue Christmas, Hard Candy Christmas, Someday at Christmas, Carol of the Bells and I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas. That?s it. Six songs. And how can you make a Christmas album without ?White Christmas? or ?Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas??!?!? This EP will probably sell as well as her ?dance remix? album and Spitfire. Which is to say, not at all. LeAnn released a statement too:
I made a Christmas record a long time ago, and this time, I decided I wanted to spread it out over three years so I didn?t have to stop making Christmas music. We had so much fun making this first EP. I tried to play around with it as far as things you don?t typically hear me do. A lot of the vocals sound very live, and it?s just a really cool piece of music. It?s very exclectic. It has a lot of soul, and it sounds really organic.

I don?t know if ?exclectic? is Idolator?s typo or LeAnn?s typo but it stays because it makes her sound so fancy. I?d like to think it?s LeAnn?s typo and it?s a manifestation of her ?ex? obsession.

Last week, we heard that LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian were being sued by their former housekeeper. The housekeeper, Gloria Cevallos, claims that their home was a hostile work environment, a hotbed of ageism and racism, and that she was subjected to discrimination and verbal abuse by LeAnn and Eddie?s employees and family members. I was kind of meh on the story because? I don?t know, I?ll criticize LeAnn and Eddie for many things, but it seemed more than reasonable that this woman was just looking for a quick payout. I suggested that they throw a small amount of money at her to get her to go away. But they aren?t taking my advice. LeAnn sent this tweet to TMZ:

Some people think LeAnn Rimes Photoshopped herself into this photo of Eddie and his sons. Like, people are Twihard-proofing it for inconsistent shadows and weird foot placement. I don?t doubt that LeAnn Photoshops her Twitter photos and I don?t doubt that she obsesses over her public image. But looking through her Twitter photos, I kind of think this photo might be real?
Meanwhile, LeAnn did an interview with Cleveland Scene Weekly and ordinarily I wouldn?t both with LeAnn?s local press pieces, but something about these quotes just struck me as completely delusional. She?s complaining about being pap?d without her knowledge (she lies ? she calls the paps all the time) and she actually has the audacity to say that the paparazzi are acting ?stalker-ish.? I sh-t you not!!!
She got pap?d and didn?t know the photographer was there: “It’s funny because someone said there was a picture of me going to the grocery store yesterday and I’m pretty aware of photographers. That’s the creepiest part, when I don’t know someone is there. I would prefer they would jump out and show themselves. It seems stalker-ish. That’s the stuff that freaks me out a little bit. Where we live, there are so many celebrities so the photographers will sit on every corner. As a woman, honestly, you just want to go to the grocery store with no makeup on and not care. That’s all I’m asking for. That would be nice.”
Child stardom: “I never had a fear of the stage because I was so young and I feel like I grew up on the stage. I didn’t know anything else. I just thought it was normal. That all seemed pretty normal to me. I’ve had a crazy whirlwind life. Some people ask me if I’m fortysomething by now, but I just tell them not to push it.”
Writing the Spitfire album: “I think the biggest challenge for me is not being moved to tears or incredible anger or whatever it might be by some of these songs. Recording the album was like a real therapy session. Now, I can make it through all of them. There are moments when a lyric will mean something more to me at that time or will click back to something else. I think that’s what’s so great about the record and about how I learned to communicate. Those are real human emotions. I think growing up, I would suppress my humanity. When you’re called a little girl with a big voice, that’s difficult. I think that’s what came across on this album was the humanity.”

LeAnn calling someone ?stalk-ish? is like the pot calling the kettle a Single White Female. It?s like Charlie Sheen complaining about someone acting crackie. It?s like Lindsay Lohan telling someone they?ve had too much to drink. It?s like Ariana Grande complaining about someone else?s diva ?tude. I go back and forth on LeAnn? does she suffer from a lack of self-awareness, or is her narcissism so all-encompassing that everything is warped in her mind?
Oh, and LeAnn will be releasing a ?Christmas EP? this year. I?m not sure if we?ve really talked about it, although LeAnn has been trying to draw interest to the ?EP? for months now. I imagine the EP will sell as well as Spitfire. Which is to say, it will bomb.
