Arduously plugging away on her new project, Nicole Kidman was back out on the set of ?Hemingway and Gellhorn? in San Francisco, CA on Wednesday (March 2).
The ?Australia? actress looked a bit put off by the rain, but eventually braved the damp west coast conditions thanks to her puffy North Face jacket.
Produced by James Gandolfini, ?Hemingway and Gellhorn? tells the story of the rocky romance between Ernest Hemingway (played by Clive Owen) and WWII correspondent Martha Gellhorn (Kidman).
With filming getting underway yesterday, the HBO made for TV movie is expected to be released later this year.

She was busy with the Governor?s Ball and Oscars over the weekend, but Nicole Kidman has since moved on to a brand new television project.
The ?Moulin Rouge? actress was spotted out in San Francisco earlier today (March 1) as she arrived for the first day of filming on "Hemingway and Gellhorn".
The Philip Kaufman directed work is described as "a drama centered on the romance between Ernest Hemingway and WWII correspondent Martha Gellhorn, Hemingway's inspiration for For Whom the Bell Tolls and the only woman who ever asked for a divorce from the writer."

Nicole Kidman in white Christian Dior. Ugh. This was one of my worst dressed picks! I think it?s mostly because I remember the era of red carpet fashion when Nicole Kidman could do no wrong, and the comparison between then and now is so stark. Maybe she just doesn?t care anymore? although I don?t think that?s the case. I think Nicole still cares about fashion. I think she cares very much of this Dior gown. I think Nicole feels this dress is beautiful and that she looks amazing in it. And that?s the problem with Nicole these days - she?s just lost it. ?It? being whatever she had that made her so watchable, in films and on red carpets. Oh, and note to Nicole: stop wearing white on red carpets. You are not virginal. You are not bridal. You are pale, and white makes you look like you?re glowing (not in a good way) and nearly translucent.
Anyway, this dress was so fug and unflattering that I wasn?t even paying attention to Nicole?s ugly hairstyle, or her fug shoe shoice, OR her giant diamond choker. I dislike all of it! Those little strands of hair in her face are tragic, while the vintage Fred Leighton choker is? okay. But not really with this fug dress, with this hair. And when did Nicole develop this epic shoe problem?!
Last thing, a note to Keith Urban: CHANGE YOUR HAIR. You do not need to flat-iron your junk every single day!!!

A mainstay at red carpet fetes, Mila Kunis was on hand for the 83nd annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday evening (February 27).
Held at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center, the Dior clad Oscar winning actress was joined by hubby Keith Urban as the pair made their press rounds while Nicole geared up for presenter duties at the Tinseltown ceremony.
Making for quite the star-studded affair, fellow celebrity presenters hitting the stage include Oprah Winfrey, Scarlett Johansson, Jude Law and Matthew McConaughey.
The Oscar Awards are being hosted by Anne Hathaway and James Franco while airing live on ABC at 8PM ET.

Getting in a little pre-Oscar action, Nicole Kidman showed up at the 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards today (February 26).
As usual, the ?Moulin Rouge? actress gave the paparazzi plenty to drool over as she hammed it up in the arrivals area clad in a bright red frock prior to the big event.
And Nicole won?t just be a casual spectator this evening - she?s scheduled to hand out one of the night?s coveted awards while also nominated for Best Actress for her work in "Rabbit Hole".
The 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards will air at 10:00 ET on IFC with Joel McHale handling the hosting duties.

I just spent way too much time looking through photos of Nicole Kidman and her Lips of Doom. No, seriously, I wasn?t really trying to look at her lips, but they were like an alien tractor beam sucking me in. My real purpose for going through the Kidman photo archives was to see if we had any photos of her wearing this cross necklace mentioned in the following story. Unfortunately, we don?t have any photos of it. So? picture it in your brainsicles: a big, expensive-looking diamond and emerald cross pendant necklace. That?s what Keith Urban gave Nicole Kidman as a ?push present? for baby Faith.
She didn?t give birth, but Nicole Kidman still got a ?push present? from husband Keith Urban when their baby daughter Faith was born to a surrogate.
According to a friend, Keith designed an emerald-and-diamond cross that he gave Nicole soon after Faith was delivered.
?Keith worked with a jeweler, but he pretty much came up with the look,? a friend explained. ?He spent around $120,000.?

My only criticism is that it shouldn?t be called a ?push present?. Just in general, I find that term very patronizing, and in this particular case, inaccurate. That being said, I like the idea of a man giving his wife/baby-mama a significant piece of jewelry upon the birth of their child. I think it?s a lovely way to mark the occasion, and it?s a tradition that works. Just don?t call it a ?push present?. Especially when another woman did the pushing, for the love of God.

They?re always up for a good time, and earlier tonight Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban arrived at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards.
The ?Moulin Rouge? actress and the ?Days Go By? singer both looked fabulous as they posed on the red carpet (Nicole wore Jean Paul Gaultier).
Prior to their chat with Ryan Seacrest, Nicole and Keith exchanged pleasantries with celeb couple Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony.
Performing at tonight?s gig are Katy Perry, Lady GaGa, Eminem, Justin Bieber, Lady Antebellum, and Rihanna.

Fresh off of a flight from the west coast, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were spotted arriving at their West Village apartment in New York City on Tuesday afternoon (February 8).
The "Eyes Wide Shut" actress and her country rocker hubby quickly made their way into their Big Apple abode, with Miss Kidman set to premiere her upcoming movie "Just Go With It" later tonight.
The flight comes after Nicole spent the previous day at the Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon - as she's been nominated for Best Actress for her role in "Rabbit Hole".
During the Beverly Hilton fete, the 43-year-old dished that daughter Sunday Rose will be picking out her attire for the Oscars ceremony.
She told, "Sunday Rose has pretty strong opinions and she chooses what she calls pretty dresses. So fingers crossed guys, I could be wearing a tutu."

Here are some more photos of Nicole Kidman in YSL at the Oscars luncheon yesterday. I know many of you disagree with me (that?s part of the fun of it!), but I still like the print and the color, and my main problem is with the fit and weird cut of the top. Anyway, Nicole has some new interviews today. The first one is just more of Nic?s Marie Claire interview, which we covered last week. These quotes are new, though:
She’s celebrating her Oscar nomination for her role in Rabbit Hole now, but ten years ago, Nicole Kidman admits she was in a very bad place. Kidman opened up even more at the Cinema Vanguard Awards this past weekend about her painful 2001 split from ex-husband Tom Cruise. She recently told Marie Claire UK she was “really damaged” after the divorce.
At the time of the break up, Kidman, 43, was making the 2002 film The Hours. “I was so depressed…I did not want to do it,” recalled Kidman. She attempted to back out but the film’s producers wouldn’t let her. “So I had to show up in England and I think my inner turmoil was very much a part of the things that [my character] was going through as well.” Her pain paid off: She won a Best Actress Oscar for her portrayal of author Virginia Wolff in the film.
Alluding to Cruise, 48, Kidman joked that she appreciates obsessiveness in directors, but “not necessarily in a husband.” Yet despite the couple’s split, Kidman did praise Cruise’s work ethic while filming Eyes Wide Shut.
“Poor Tom. He worked every single day on that film and that’s extraordinary?I remember him just not wanting to let Stanley down and just whatever it was going to take, it was going to take,” said Kidman.
Kidman’s now happily married to country music star Keith Urban, 43. She recalled hearing of her recent Oscar nod while at home with him and their two daughters, Sunday Rose, 2, and Faith, one-month old. “Suddenly they said my name and Keith was like ‘yeah!’ and jumping around the kitchen and Sunday was like, ‘wh-wh-what’s happening? Why are you crying?’ She goes, ‘why are we sad?’ and I said ‘no we’re not sad Sunday, we’re happy.’ So that will be my memory of this nomination: My daughter and my husband jumping around the kitchen.?

Ugh, Eyes Wide Shut. That turd of a movie. I remember the gossip that Kubrick needed to hire some kind of sex therapist for Nicole and Tom for their ?love scene?. And I do remember those scenes being extremely awkward, although I do give Tom credit for befriending Kubrick and working with Steven Spielberg to carry on Kubrick?s legacy. Whatever.
At the luncheon, Nicole also told reporters that her daughter Sunday is going to be picking out her Oscar dress: ?Sunday Rose has a pretty strong opinion, and she chooses what she calls ‘pretty dresses.’ She has a strong voice in what I?ll be wearing on the night of the Oscars. Fingers crossed, I could be wearing a tutu.” Oh, God. Nicole, no pink, for the love of God. Wear something gorgeous and epic and bright. Stop with the frills and the pastels.

She?s up for her third Oscar trophy, and Nicole Kidman freaked her daughter Sunday Rose out when she cried over the news.
The ?Moulin Rouge? mommy told press that she wept tears of joy upon learning of her ?Rabbit Hole? nomination.
She explained, ?Poor Sunday. They said my name and Keith [Urban] was like, ?Yeah!? and jumping around the kitchen.?
?And Sunday is like, ?What?s happening? Why are you crying?? Because I was crying. She said, ?Why are we sad?? I said, ?No. We?re not sad, Sunday. We?re happy.? So that would be my memory of this nomination- my daughter and my husband jumping around the kitchen.
