Starting off her week with a little fun, Natalie Portman took her son Aleph took a recreation center in Los Angeles, CA on Monday (July 29).
Keeping her look casual, the "Knight of Cups" actress wore jeans and a baggy green t-shirt while she toted her little man on her hip.
Although Natalie spent some quality mommy-son time together today, she also got to enjoy some couple time with her main squeeze this past weekend.
On Sunday (July 28), Portman and her hubby Benjamin Millepied, along with plenty of other Hollywood stars, attended the Justin Timberlake and Jay Z concert in Pasadena, CA.

Treating themselves to a musical date night, Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied showed up at the Justin Timberlake & Jay-Z Legends of Summer concert in Pasadena on Sunday (July 28).
The ?V For Vendetta? actress and her bearded husband both had VIP laminates around their necks as they arrived at the Rose Bowl, holding hands as they walked inside.
In career news, Natalie will make her directorial debut in a film adaptation of Amos Oz?s memoir ?A Tale of Love and Darkness.?
Oz told press, ?She read ?A Tale of Love and Darkness? and asked me for the rights to make a film adaptation around five or six years ago. I agreed because of my high esteem for her work. She?s an excellent actor.?

Here are some new photos of Natalie Portman, Benjamin Millepied and little Aleph in LA over the holiday weekend. According to Fame/Flynet, they were doing some shopping in ?Little Tokyo? in downtown LA. It makes me wonder? I thought they were moving to France? Was that just tabloid gossip? I really believed that they were moving to France because Benjamin got a really big job offer and Natalie thought it would be easy to use Paris as a home base for her work. Maybe that?s still happening and they?ll just move there later this year. Or maybe it?s not happening at all.
Currently, Natalie seems to be filming Jane Got a Gun in LA. That?s according to IMDB ? they claim JGAG is still ?filming? although it?s possible the movie is still on some kind of hiatus while everyone gets their sh-t together. The project has almost a completely new cast and a new director and everything went to hell during the first week of production. Natalie is producing the mess too, and there are tabloid reports that she?s not a very good ?producer?. All I know is that we seem to be getting somewhat regular photos of her lately, and she never looks too stressed out or anything.
Aleph is a cutie too ? and Benjamin seems like a hands-on dad. That?s nice.

L.A. Dance Project?s mission is to create new work and to revive seminal collaborations from influential dance makers.

Enjoying a much-needed girl?s night out, Reese Witherspoon and Natalie Portman hit up Benjamin Millepied's L.A. Dance Project last evening (June 20).
The stunning Hollywood ladies mingled with their fellow A-List pals and took a beat to pose for a few photos.
The Los Angeles-based event marks Miss Portman?s first red carpet appearance in months. She looked amazing in a two-toned Dior gown as she supported her hubby?s art project.
According to the Daily Mail, Benjamin set up the artist collective last year, which aims to revive collaborations and create new work for dancers.

She?s always on the go, and Natalie Portman arrived in Los Angeles on a flight from Paris, France last night (May 30).
The ?Garden State? gal looked to be in good spirits as she scurried past the shutterbugs, sporting black sunglasses with a pale green sweater and black trousers.
Portman was in Paris to spend some time with her husband Benjamin Millepied, who is employed as a choreographer in the City of Lights.
Earlier this month, Natalie?s new film ?Jane Got a Gun? was purchased by Relativity Media and The Weinstein Group for distribution here in the States, so we should be seeing it later this year.

Here are some new photos of Natalie Portman with her nearly 2-year-old son Aleph yesterday in Los Feliz. According to Fame/Flynet, she had taken him to a Jewish community center. Much like January Jones? son Xander, Aleph seemed kind of ginger-y when he was small, but as he gets older, his hair is becoming more straight-forward blonde. I?m not trying to throw coal on the conspiracy fires, so I?ll just say that I think it?s interesting that two dark-haired people produced such a fair, tow-headed child. Cough.
Natalie is currently filming Jane Got a Gun, which might go down as the most cursed project of 2013. The most cursed project of 2011-2012 was probably World War Z, but a lot of WWZ?s curses were self-inflicted, plus that film is just HUGE. Jane Got a Gun was supposed to be a smaller, hyper-violent drama, and Natalie believes in the project so much, she?s producing the mess. This is what has happened so far:
*Michael Fassbender was hired, but then he quit a few days before the production began, claiming that he had scheduling conflicts with X-Men: Days of Future Past.
*Jude Law quit the film the day before the production began.
*The director Lynne Ramsey quit the production on the first day ? she quit by NEVER SHOWING UP. Cinematographer Darius Khondji quit the production that first week ?out of solidarity? with Ramsey.
*They hired director Gavin O?Connor to replace Ramsey. He had to come in and hit the ground running, because producers refused to delay production at first, although at this point they are doing a ?phased shutdown.? Whatever that means.
*Joel Edgerton is still in the production (I think), but he?s changed parts a few times.
*Bradley Cooper took on one of the roles vacated by Fassbender or Law, but then he quit a few days ago too, claiming scheduling conflicts.
*The producers went to Jake Gyllenhaal and offered him the role that Bradley vacated, and Jake wasn?t into it. I think the part ? the crucial role of ?Jane?s ex-boyfriend? ? is still vacant as we speak. Basically this thing is a HUGE mess.
*Breaking: Ewan Mcgregor just stepped into one of the vacant roles. He should be out of the production by the end of the week!

Out for a mommy-son bonding afternoon, Natalie Portman and her little man Aleph stopped off at a Jewish community center in Los Feliz, CA on Monday (May 6).
Looking casually cute, the "Black Swan" actress wore jeans, sneakers and a mesh gray top while toting her son on her hip.
Although her morning errands were happening on the west coast, it is reported that Natalie will be making a trip to NYC this evening to attend the MET Gala.
The annual shindig is the fashion event of the season and celebrates the annual opening of the Metropolitan Museum's fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute.

Recreating the allegedly cursed play on the big screen, Natalie Portman and Michael Fassbender are slated to star in ?Macbeth? with backing from Film4.
The film adaptation is directed by Justin Kurzel and produced by UK and Australian company See-Saw Films.
According to reports, the script is a modernized version of the Shakespeare classic, while still providing the drama of the original play.
In addition to ?Macbeth,? Miss Portman is scheduled to premiere ?Thor: The Dark World? in November, while Fassbender is prepping for the release of the upcoming comedy drama ?Frank.?

Ugh, they should have cast the green dude ^^ as Lady Macbeth.
Yesterday we discussed the now sure-thing casting decision of Michael Fassbender in a new screen adaptation of Macbeth. The idea of Fassy-as-Macbeth was applauded by many of us as a smart casting choice, but in the initial reporting, they were still searching for a suitable Lady Macbeth. I suggested Jessica Chastain because I would love the ginger-on-ginger action and because I think Jessica would be able to nail the hell out of ?Out, out damn spot? scene. Other casting ideas from the comments section: Cate Blanchett, Tilda Swinton and Emily Blunt. The vibe I kept getting for everyone is that they should not cast an American, but if they did cast an American, it should be someone like Chastain. Guess what? They cast an American. And it?s not Chastain. It?s Natalie Portman.
Oscar-winner Natalie Portman will play Lady Macbeth opposite Michael Fassbender in the upcoming version of Macbeth, announced by ScreenDaily yesterday. It is due to shoot later in 2013. Screen understands that Portman has long wanted to take on the role, previously considering stage versions, and that the actress was keen to renew her collaboration with Fassbender after the two recently wrapped production on Terrence Malick?s latest film about the Texas music scene.
Snowtown?s Justin Kurzel will direct the update of Shakespeare?s classic thriller produced by The King?s Speech and Shame producers See-Saw. Writers are Todd Louiso and Jacob Koskoff. The script has been one of the most in-demand ahead of the Cannes Film Festival with a number of sales outfits keen to work on the film.
Development and production backing on the UK-Australian co-production comes from Film4. The production sees Fassbender reunited with Shame producers Iain Canning and Emile Sherman and Film4, with whom the actor worked on Hunger, Shame and the upcoming Frank.
The new take on Shakespeare?s classic – about a ruthlessly ambitious Scottish lord who siezes the throne with the help of his scheming wife and three witches – is set in the 11th century and in the original language. The script is understood to be a visceral approach to the story including significant battle scenes.
Portman will next be seen in superhero sequel Thor: The Dark World and she is currently shooting Jane Got a Gun, which previously had Fassbender on board. The actress is represented by Brillstein Entertainment and CAA.

Ugh, why are Portman and Fassbender on each other?s jocks these days? Surely they don?t have that much chemistry. I rarely think Natalie has chemistry with any of her leading men though, unless you?re talking about Jean Reno and maybe (!) Clive Owen in Closer, although the Clive Owen thing is all HIM and not her. Clive Owen could have sexual chemistry with a lamp post. And that lamp post would get pregnant too. Anyway, casting Natalie Portman as Lady Macbeth totally kills my lady boner. It?s dull, uninspired and it will ruin the project. But! The last time Fassy and Portman were cast opposite each other, Fassbender ended up pulling out of the film like the day before the production began (that was Jane Got a Gun). So maybe this isn?t as for-sure as it sounds. Hopefully.
