I interrupt the normal Golden Globes coverage to bring you the WTFery of Kendall Jenner. Kendall Jenner and her new, tragic lips made an appearance at the Golden Globes last night. FOR NO REASON!! Kendall wasn?t a presenter, and she obviously wasn?t nominated for anything. She wasn?t a ?Globe Ambassador? or whatever. She?s just a nepotism model who is looking increasingly plastic. Why was she there? In a night full of such amazing Lady Power moments, why did Kendall Jenner show up? Did she bring the Pepsi and solve Black Lives Matter?
Kendall wore Giambattista Valli. CB wanted me to point out that this is pretty much the same sillhouette which Rihanna has been rocking for years, only Rihanna does it better (obviously). I said last night that the ?maternity? look of the dress was making me rethink my previous eyerolls at all of the conspiracies around Kendall. Lord, is she pregnant too? Does that explain the lips? Hahahaha, nothing explains the lips.
Also absurd: the fact that Susan Sarandon got any applause last night. Don?t clap for her. She?s still an a–hole. She did bring Rosa Clemente as her date, which was the only good thing about her appearance.

At some point in 2017, I could no longer differentiate between Kendall Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski. Like, that?s the look Kendall has been going for lately: Budget Ratajkowski. Kendall?s new, fake lips threw off her face for the bulk of 2017, and now there are rumors that 2018 is going to bring Kendall another Kardashian pregnancy. Kendall posted the above Instagram over the New Year?s holiday weekend, and if you look closely (or not so closely), you?ll see why people were ?freaking out? about this selfie. Kendall has a very small tummy. Therefore, people thought she might be pregnant, just like Kylie Jenner and Khloe Kardashian. She tried to correct the record:

Kim Kardashian was assaulted and robbed at gunpoint, and she has strong feelings about guns. To be fair, before the Paris robbery last year, Kim was already finding her voice as an anti-gun-violence advocate. I think for Kim, becoming a mother made her think differently about a lot of issues, and she started getting much more political, from openly supporting Hillary Clinton, to speaking out about gun violence, and using the reality show platform to highlight reproductive choice issues. I have no problem with any of that, and I don?t think Kim is ?wrong? to be scared of guns or to be afraid of being around guns. Perhaps this will come as a surprise as well, but I also don?t think Kendall Jenner is ?wrong? for thinking about buying a gun. In a new clip from Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kendall, Khloe and Kim debate gun ownership:
Kim Kardashian is not here for Kendall Jenner getting a gun to protect herself. On Sunday’s all-new Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kendall and Khloe Kardashian sat down with Kim to talk guns.
“Kendall and I were talking earlier and she just feels really unsafe. She says she has literally a different stalker outside of her house every few days. She’s a single girl who lives alone, like someone’s already broken into her home, what if she was there?” Khloe explained. Kim, an advocate for gun safety laws, insisted that a gun just isn’t necessary.
“Well, that’s what you have security for,” Kim shot back. In an effort to help Kim understand, Khloe asked Kim if she thinks having a gun would have helped her during last year’s Paris robbery.
“In your situation, say that gun, you were able to get access to it, would you know what to do?” Khloe asked. Even if she did know how to use one, Kim wasn’t so sure a gun would’ve changed the outcome of that fateful night.
“I would not shoot these, it was three against one, or six, you know, or seven, I didn’t know about. There was no way I was gonna get out of there, I’m not like, Laura Croft,” Kim said.
At the end of the day, guns are a no go for Kim. “I’m not comfortable with it. I wouldn’t want my kids around it. I wouldn’t want sleepovers going on here, with the kids here and I know there’s a gun,” Kim insisted.

If Kendall wants to get a gun and she thinks it would make her feel safe, then I support that choice. I think Khloe is coming at it from that angle too – Khloe isn?t thinking ?will the gun actually make Kendall safer?? she?s thinking ?will it make Kendall FEEL safe?? Kim?s not wrong either – she would feel uncomfortable being in a house with a gun, or having her kids in a house with a gun. There?s zero harm in Kendall?s curiosity, nor would there be any harm in Kendall learning more about guns and going out for some target practice, just to make sure that she would know how to use a gun if she needed to. Basically, I?m sort of shocked by how educational and after-school-special this clip was. There are no bad guys, no petty beefs. It?s three sisters talking realistically about what guns and gun ownership would mean to them.

We can make fun of Kendall Jenner and her dead-eyed expressions and her nepotism all day long, but the truth is? Kendall is a thing. For real. Kendall has been one of the biggest names for this year?s huge New York Fashion Week. She?s walked two of the hottest runways so far, the Tom Ford show and the Alexander Wang show. She?s been attending all of the big events around NYFW and she?s been doing it all with very little drama and a lot of professionalism. I say that because I?m not seeing any stories about Kendall turning up late, or being a brat or being unpleasant to anyone. She?s actually doing exactly what she?s supposed to do: bring attention to the clothes and the designers who are showing at NYFW.
Not that Kendall actually deserved to win the ?Fashion Icon of the Decade? award at the Daily Front Row?s Fashion Media Awards. For that event, Kendall wore the long, black Giambattista Valli gown and a good red lip (the header photo). The gown looks like a cheap prom dress to me, and I?m saying that as someone who actually likes Valli?s designs some of the time. To me, Kendall doesn?t have the presence to actually work a boring dress properly, but whatever. She?s actually happening and I?ve made my peace with it.
After the Fashion Media Awards, Kendall changed into this sheer Dolce & Gabbana dress for the Harper?s Bazaar ICONS event. Something nice? I really like her hair in these photos. I guess we?re also not supposed to say anything about how Kendall keeps getting some subtle tweaks to her face, right?
