Here are some photos from last night?s amfAR gala at the Cannes Film Festival. The amfAR gala is always one of the biggest events of Cannes, and it?s usually a showcase for models and designers, much like the Met Gala, only here the theme is just ?look pretty and frothy.? This year?s gala was light on big-name celebrities, but they got a good turnout with models. This is not a comprehensive list I?m just choosing my favorite gowns or the people I found most notable. Kendall Jenner wore a custom Giambattista Valli gown, and the designer was her date to the gala. The fluffy mullet train is detachable, and it?s my understanding that Kendall later detached the train and just partied in the puffy miniskirt part. I can?t stand mullet dress so I dislike this, but it is what it is something silly for Cannes.
Y?all know I stan Dua Lipa but she?s so young, and I sometimes think she just wears what people tell her to wear. Her face tells me this Valentino gown was probably not what she would have chosen for herself. Bad styling too Dua is beautiful and the hair & makeup made her look like a second-tier model.
Coco Rocha also wore a BIG gown this is ASHI Studio and it?s just another terrible mullet dress, let?s be real.
Stella Maxwell in Versace. I rather like this? It?s a good gown.
Martha Hunt in Monique Lhuillier. Wow, I like this too? It?s not perfect? I would like to see the hem of the dress be a touch longer just to compensate for the cape. But other that, I love it.
Olivia Culpo in Ermanno Scervino. Why does it feel like she?s copying Dua Lipa?s slicked-down styling? The dress itself is fine not the best, not the worst.
Pamela Anderson?s date was her son Brandon Thomas Lee. I can?t believe how grown he is. She wore INGIE Paris and looked? like Pam Anderson.

Here are more photos from the Vanity Fair Oscar party. Kendall Jenner was the only one of the Kardashian-Jenners to attend any Oscar events (although Caitlyn Jenner turned up). Kendall wanted attention, and honestly, this is such an old school move. It used to be that every random model would turn up to the VF Oscar party with everything hanging out. This year, Kendall was one of the few women doing it. Her Rami Kadi dress was basically a sliver of fabric draped over her crotch, and whenever Kendall moved or walked, the fabric would sway and Kendall would expose herself to everyone. So, there you go.
Amy Adams has never looked more like Isla Fisher than right here, in this Alexandre Vauthier, with this hair.
Ashley Olsen just low-key turned up to the VF party with no fuss. I don?t even think she had a date? She just came to party.
Sophie Turner in Louis Vuitton,with Joe Jonas. I keep hoping this relationship will peter out, but I guess not. Sophie looks cute though.
Chlo Grace Moretz also wore Louis Vuitton. LV did some decent party dresses, right?
Laura Harrier also got an LV party dress this one is too cocktaily for my taste, although her body is crazy.

Back in August, Kendall Jenner received some well-deserved criticism for some comments she made to Love Magazine. She seemingly sneered at the idea that ?those girls? in the modeling industry would walk in a lot of runway shows every season, saying: ?Since the beginning we?ve been super selective about what shows I would do. I was never one of those girls who would do like 30 shows a season or whatever the f?k those girls do. More power to ?em.? She came across as snide and elitist, and she barely even tried to apologize for it.
In the wake of that controversy, Vogue reported that Kendall was ?taking this season off? from runway work. She was in New York for fashion week, and she made appearances on behalf of her contracts, but she didn?t walk in any of the shows (nor did she attend any of the shows). I wondered at the time if Kendall refused to walk the runway, or if NYFW designers didn?t want her. I wondered if Kendall had finally pissed off the fashion industry professionals to the point where some (or many) were boycotting her.
Well? it looks like she just decided not to walk in New York. She walked the Burberry show during London Fashion Week, and I think it was her only ?exclusive? walk in London. She did it because Riccardo Tisci is the new chief designer for Burberry after Christopher Bailey left, and Tisci is tight with all the Kardashian-Jenners. Then, after the Burberry show, Kendall went to Italy for Milan Fashion Week, and over the course of a few days, she walked for Alberta Ferretti, Versace and Moschino. What?s my point? Kendall isn?t over, sadly. She?s still in-demand for runway work, and designers are not shunning her. Of course, I bet some of the jobbing models had some sh-t to say behind-the-scenes, but Kendall obviously doesn?t care about ?those girls.?

Here are some photos of Kendall Jenner wearing a cute purple dress for an event for Longchamp. Kendall has been in New York for about a week, preparing for New York Fashion Week and attending events. That?s what I wrote last week, when we discussed that bizarre Page Six item about Kendall making out with Anwar Hadid I thought Kendall was actually going to be working some runways for NYFW. She is not. According to Vogue, Kendall is ?taking this season off.?
Kendall Jenner is in New York for Fashion Week, but the model is taking this season off and making the social rounds, instead. Jenner made a few stops last night?appearing on the Tonight Show in Tom Ford, popping by Russell James?s book party alongside Cindy Crawford.

That Vogue piece was about her outfit, but this is the first I?m hearing about Kendall taking the season off. She?s basically just in New York to attend parties and promotional events. She?s not going to put one foot on the runway. So here?s my question: was this Kendall?s choice or nah? Remember, Kendall created a recent controversy when she discussed working runway models, telling Love Magazine: ?Since the beginning we?ve been super selective about what shows I would do. I was never one of those girls who would do like 30 shows a season or whatever the f?k those girls do. More power to ?em.? Kendall?s comments were seen as snide and elitist towards the young models who *have* to do runway work because that?s their job. Models widely criticized Kendall and her dumb non-apology didn?t do anything. So did designers refuse to hire Kendall this season or did she say no to designers? I bet it was a little of Column A, a little of Column B.

Kendall Jenner is featured in the latest issue of Love Magazine (a British publication). I rarely cover anything from Love Mag, because I don?t really find their editorials all that compelling or notable, and the interviews (such as they are) are rather basic. But Love Magazine is making some news this week, because they published a quote from Kendall accompanied by some semi-nude new photos. Kendall apparently chatted with Love about her modeling career and how she was careful to avoid walking every runway:
?Since the beginning we?ve been super selective about what shows I would do. I was never one of those girls who would do like 30 shows a season or whatever the fk those girls do. More power to ?em. But I had a million jobs, not only catwalks but everything else. The whole combination was very overwhelming and I started to freak out a little bit and needed to take a step back,? says the 22-year-old, admitting that she ?was on the verge of a mental breakdown.?

First of all, I?ve always believed the reason why Kendall and Gigi Hadid don?t walk every runway is because they?re both sh-tty runway models. Gigi clomps like a horse and Kendall doesn?t have much of a ?walk.? Second of all, Kendall just pissed off the entire modeling community, the same community which already viewed her with justifiable suspicion because of her dumb nepotism.
Over the weekend, Love magazine posted the model?s quote along with an image from her accompanying photoshoot ? and Jenner?s fellow catwalkers flocked to the comments section to share how they felt about her workload.
?This makes me so angry,? wrote Victoria?s Secret model Jac Jagaciak. ?So disrespectful to literally 99% of people in the industry ? yes, they had to work their way up. Please get in tough with the real world!?
Added Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition stunner Vita Sidorkina: ?Maybe ?those girls? need to pay their bills that?s why they are doing 30 shows? No words??
Other models screengrabbed and shared Love magazine?s post to their Instagram Stories along with commentary. ??? Whatever the f?k those girls do? is do their very best to make their way up AND try to make some money so that they can provide for themselves and their families,? wrote runway fixture Daria Strokous. ?Oh, and it?s 70 shows a season by the way and we are all f?king proud of every single one of the girls that did it.?
Peyton Knight followed suit, hashtagging her post ?#ENDTHEPRIVILEGE? and writing, ?This kinda disrespect towards other models who have NO NAME for themselves walking into the industry is disgusting. We don?t get to ?choose? which shows to do, and it?s an honor to do a lot? If we said no to multiple jobs we wouldn?t have a career.?
And transgender model Teddy Quinlivan shared a longer response to her Instagram Story. ?As models we need to uplift each other,? she wrote. ?If you are lucky as a model you might make enough to not be in debt to your agency; maybe even move out of the model apartment? Unfortunately this isn?t the case for the vast majority of models who have to leave everything behind including their families in pursuit of a better life?.Models don?t just come from Calabasas? they come from Somalia, the Siberian tundra, a rural village in China, a trailer park in Tennessee. Making disparaging comments about your peers doesn?t lead to growth or unity which our regulation-less industry desperately needs.?
Jenner?s rep told Page Six that the star?s quote was taken out of context. ?She realized the number of shows some models walk a season is closer to 80,? the rep explained. ?The point was that it?s their path and ?the more power to them.? She admires their hard work and dedication. It?s an accomplishment.?

Yes, Kendall looks down her nose job at other models? ?paths? of, you know, actually working constantly and doing the day-to-day work of being a jobbing model. More power to the real models, because fake-lipped fake model Kendall only used the ?model? job to do the bare minimum of work and then just coasted on nepotism. Kendall is such a pill. Oh, and the pill released another statement on Twitter:
I was misrepresented in a recent interview over the wknd & it?s important to clarify the meaning. It was intended to be entirely complimentary but unfortunately, my words were twisted & taken out of context.I want to be clear. The respect that I have for my peers is immeasurable!

Its really doesnt make sense how Kendall Jenner is part of this family. How can they all be so gross, and she turned out alright? Was she adopted? Did the mom conceive her with someone else? We need to do a DNA test and get to the bottom of this. []
