Kendall Jenner gets laughed at a lot for saying her family name didn’t start her career, but I still root for her a little bit. She’s entitled and has no idea what it’s like to not be famous, but that’s not her fault. If any of the Kardashian-Jenner klan can break free from the reality show business and still make money, it’s Kendall. She’s a decent model and worth a lot of money for brands. Does she have lasting power? Only time will tell.
Kendall was chosen by the Wall Street Journal as one of several “luminaries” to discuss youth and aging. I’m side-eying WSJ for letting Kendall write for their February issue, but she reflects the younger demographic. Other contributors included Tim Howard and Goldie Hawn. Here’s Kendall’s part:
“I feel like I grew up too fast a long time ago. Having older siblings, you grow up around adults, so you mature more quickly. I saw my sisters and parents working every day, so I was pretty much brought up to be a workaholic. But I just turned 19 a couple weeks ago, and I?m scared to be 20 — it?s the first step out of being a teenager. My sister Khloe always says to me and my younger sister, Kylie: You have your whole life to be an adult but only so long to be a kid. And we get it. In the right situations, I try to be as immature as I can sometimes — react to things as if I were 12. You can?t take things too seriously. I just laugh thinking about my dad being a teenager, partying. It?s the funniest thing. And it makes me think — what am I going to be like when I?m 65?”

Well … I am pretty sure Kendall didn’t actually write this paragraph. The publication probably interviewed her, and someone translated the text into a readable format. I’m not saying Kendall is dumb, but she isn’t a writer. She and Kylie used a ghostwriter to write their YA novel, Rebels: City of Indra. No shade there either. Most celebs use ghostwriters, which is paid work for writers, so it’s all good. This Wall Street Journal gig is more of the same, but Kendall’s getting credited as a budding journalist.

Stepping out for an evening of sport, Kendall Jenner and Khloe Kardashian showed up at the Los Angeles Clippers basketball game with Cara Delevingne last night (January 7).
The ?Keeping Up with the Kardashians? cuties sat courtside with the English poser, complete with popcorn, soda and plenty of snacks strewn in front of their feet.
Meanwhile, Kendall is on the receiving end of some harsh words from Kim Kardashian in the new Season 10 preview for their hit E! show.
In the clip, Kim blurts out, ?I?m not buying her a f*cking pair of shoes, I bought her a f*cking career!? referring to her role in getting Jenner a slew of high-profile modeling gigs.

This is a photo of Kendall Jenner leaving Taylor Swift’s NYC apartment with Cara Delevingne. These two must be bonding over their odd Chanel outfits from last week. I had no idea Swift was friends with the coke dropper. I don’t see how it’s possible for Taylor and Cara to have anything in common, other than youth and fame. Maybe that’s enough. A new story from Radar Online says Kendall is making big changes in her life. She moved out of Kris’ home in the spring. Now Kendall has reportedly given Kris the boot as manager. Kris must have been livid. If you take away KUWTK as a show, Kendall must be the second biggest earner of the siblings. Those brand ambassador gigs pay very well. Here are the details:
Kendall Jenner is fed up with her mother Kris Jenner’s controlling ways and is no longer “keeping up” the faade. RadarOnline.com has learned that she?s dumping the family momager to hire a professional management team!
“Kendall has made it very clear to Kris that she is no longer managing her career,” a source close to the family tells Radar exclusively. “Kris is aware of this … Kendall has moved out and moved on months ago.”
“She sees straight through all of her mom’s BS and she will not let Kris exploit her like Kris did Kim,” the insider adds, referring to Jenner’s 34-year-old half-sister, sex tape star Kim Kardashian.
According to the source, the stunning 19-year-old runway model “has been shopping around for her own team, not affiliated with the Keeping up with the Kardashians brand at all. That includes a new manager, rep and agent of her own.”
As Radar previously reported, 59-year-old momager Kris has gotten a lot of heat for promoting Kendall’s Love magazine online Advent calendar. “These photos were tame compared to what Kim has done and everyone is making a big deal out of nothing,? the source tells Radar.
“She did not ask Kris to promote this in any way,” the insider says. “Kris has been investing a lot of time in Kendall and Kendall does not invest any time in Kris. She’s done.”
Kendall isn’t the first family member to jump ship: Last fall, Kim hired high-power rep Ina Treciokas to oversee her publicity.

The article mentions Kendall’s new lingerie slides in Love magazine’s Advent calendar. They’re not too risque but do contain a some side tush. You can see them here. Of course Kris mentioned Kendall’s pics to everyone. That’s her style.
I can’t blame Kendall at all for trying to get out from under Kris’ kontrol. Not only is Kris pure evil, but she leaks everything (true or not) to the press. Remember how Kendall was supposedly mean girled at NYFW by fellow models? I suspected all along that Kris was the source on that story. Sure enough, Kendall told Dazed & Confused that no one put cigarette butts in her drink, and everyone was nice to her. I say make a run for it, Kendall. Run like the Victoria’s Secret-seeking wind.
