There were always rumors about Elizabeth Olsen and Tom Hiddleston when they started working together on I Saw the Light. She had just ended things with her fianc, and Tom was seemingly single then too. But the rumors were just that, until last summer when Olsen and Hiddles stepped out together in London. Ever since, the dragonflies and Hiddlestoners have been on HIGH ALERT for any story about impending Olsen-Hiddles babies. But then when Hiddleston and Olsen came out for TIFF last year to promote ISTL, Olsen flatly denied that Hiddleston was her boyfriend. Which no one believed. And then her denials seemed especially false when she was seen/photographed in Hawaii with Hiddleston while he was filming Kong: Skull Island. Personally, I think these two have been together this whole time. But I do enjoy Olsen?s attempts to deny it and deflect.
Elizabeth Olsen and Tom Hiddleston have great chemistry in their new Hank Williams biopic I Saw the Light. However, that doesn’t mean the two ever dated. Rumors of a budding romance started in May but cooled off in September when Olsen told Refinery 29 in September that they’re just friends.
“I’m used it by now,” Olsen told me last night at the I Saw the Light premiere. “I’m like, ‘Wow, my life is real exciting.’ I got three Avengers on my cue lined up.” (Olsen has also been falsely linked to Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner.)
Olsen and Hiddleston first met four years ago when they auditioned for the same movie.
“None of us got the job but what we got out of it is, Oh, we work similarly?This could be fun,” Olsen said. “We could have fun working together and then it ended up happening.”
In the Marc Abraham-directed I Saw the Light, Hiddleston stars as Hank Williams, the late country-western singer who was only 29 when he died in 1953 after years of active alcoholism and prescription drug abuse. Olsen plays his first wife Audrey.
“Hank and Audrey clearly had such a passionate and volatile relationship,” Hiddleston said. “They loved each other so much but they were unintentionally cruel to each other.”
Hiddleston and Olsen were anything but cruel to each other. “She’s such a great tennis partner,” the Thor star said. “She’s the kind of actress who’s really in the moment with you. She’s very present?We’ve been friends for awhile so it was nice to finally work with her.”

See? She doesn?t say outright, ?I?m not dating Tom.? She?s all, ?Oh, people say all kinds of things.? Which isn?t really a denial. But! When Olsen was asked about the rumors by Entertainment Tonight, she ?dismissed? the stories as ?a bunch of strangers saying a bunch of stuff that they don’t know about.” Yeah, a bunch of strangers with photo evidence and RECEIPTS!!!

Yay!!! There was a big premiere in LA last night for I Saw the Light, the Hank Williams bio-pic starring Tom Hiddleston. And thankfully, Tom was there, looking lovely. Tom?s costar and rumored real-life girlfriend Elizabeth Olsen was in attendance as well, and they even posed together on the red carpet. It?s an Easter miracle!
Tom wore one of his favorite blue Alexander McQueen suits (I swear we?ve seen it several times before), and Elizabeth Olsen wore a sort of boho Emilio Pucci gown. I?m okay with the gown, but her hair is too beautiful to do a center part, just my opinion. I?m also including photos of Maddie Hasson, another costar. And LEGS, obviously. I?m including photos of the legs. But you do you need some posh Dragonfly voice and lovely hands? Of course you do. Hiddles appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night. Some clips!

This is possibly Tom?s best chat show appearance. He?s still got the heart of a dancing, singing performing bear and you can tell he still gets a little overstimulated when someone is talking to him, but he?s doing a good job of keeping it together. Well done, Hiddles!

Here are some photos of Elizabeth Olsen this week at the Gucci show in Milan. I always forget that Milan Fashion Week and London Fashion Week sort of run concurrently. I?m also assuming that Olsen is being paid to sit front row at the Gucci show ? Olsen is a self-styled Fashion Girl, and she usually chooses (or is chosen for) one or two fashion shows every season nowadays. I personally think her outfit looks crazy, especially with those insane heels.
Since I Saw the Light?s release was suddenly pushed back last fall, Olsen and Tom Hiddleston will have to redo their promotional work next month. The American release date is March 25th, and I?m assuming it will be a limited release at that. The reviews coming out of TIFF were not great, but the critics mostly slammed the movie as a whole and the direction, not so much Tom?s performance as Hank Williams or Olsen?s performance as his first wife. But when Olsen was asked specifically about Hiddleston?s performance, she had nothing but praise:

The Avengers: Age of Ultron star – who was awarded Movie Actress of the Year at last night’s Elle Style Awards – plays Audrey Mae Williams opposite Hiddleston in Marc Abraham’s I Saw the Light, set for release later this year.
She told Digital Spy: “I know some people were confused by why he was cast as the part, but you won’t think twice about when you watch the movie.”

?Nailed? is such an interesting word. We all know Tom worked so hard to ?nail? his performance as Hank Williams. But I also think Tom and Elizabeth worked hard to nail each other. Especially since Olsen dumped her fianc over the phone just as she began working with Tom? Ha.

I?m splitting up the Elle Style Awards photos into two different posts, just FYI. The annual event ? for the UK edition of Elle Magazine ? is held in London every year around the same time as the BRIT Awards. I seem to remember the Elle Style Awards coming after the Brit Awards in previous years, but this year, the ESAs came one day before. Let?s start off with Elizabeth Olsen in Calvin Klein. I guess I can?t make a joke about a Hiddlesbaby, right? Because she doesn?t look pregnant anymore. It?s almost as if she?s making a conscious choice to show off her midriff so we?ll know that Tom Hiddleston hasn?t impregnated her! Anyway, I have no idea if they?re still together, if they?re friends with benefits, or whatever. I don?t really care for this CK look.
Here are Ellie Goulding and Liv Tyler, both in Stella McCartney. I?m not feeling either look ? Ellie?s dress looks like a budget version of the lingerie-inspired slipdress trend from the ?90s, and the body chain worn outside of the dress? LOL. Liv?s dress is okay except for the shade of blue.
Charlie XCX in some acid green monstrosity. Sigh? this is so bad.
Jourdan Dunn in Emilio de la Morena. I love Jourdan and think she?s amazing. The dress is meh.
Paloma Faith in Armani Priv. I don?t get why she?s a thing? I would have loved this ensemble on Cate Blanchett though.

In case you missed it, Elizabeth Olsen was back in LA on Monday night and she attended the premiere of Hail Caesar. I can?t find any photos of her walking the red carpet, but there were photos of Olsen ducking into the theater ? go here to see. It looks like she went with Sam Taylor Johnson and Aaron Taylor Johnson. Aaron and Lizzie played brother and sister in The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Maybe they became close friends? The point is that she?s not currently in Australia, where Tom Hiddleston is filming Kong: Skull Island. But she has been to visit him on set, so I think they?re still together.
Meanwhile, Olsen has scored a new role and it sounds? odd.
Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen have been set to star in Wind River, a drama written by Sicario scribe Taylor Sheridan, who also is on board to make his feature directorial debut. Sicario producer Basil Iwanyk?s Thunder Road is producing this one with Peter Berg and Matthew George.
The pic, which begins shooting in March in Park City, centers on Cory (Renner), who works for the Fish and Game Department as a hunter of coyotes and other predators. Suffering after the death of his teenage daughter, he stumbles upon the raped body of a teenage girl frozen in the desolate wilderness. A rookie FBI agent (Olsen) who is unfamiliar with the terrain and weather enlists Cory to help her find those responsible.

As I mentioned last week, I watched Sicario during the Snowpacalypse, and I also watched Avengers: Age of Ultron (for the first time, sorry not sorry). I was pleasantly surprised that I didn?t hate Olsen as the Scarlett Witch, and I thought she did a decent job playing that kind of comic-book role. She?s usually doing these more off-beat indie roles, so it?s good to know she has some range. I liked-but-didn?t-love Sicario ? it reminded me a lot of True Detective Season 1, and I thought the script was sort of overrated. Sicario was also dark as hell (dark subject matter), and I don?t know? I?m not really feeling Olsen?s casting here. Renner on the other hand? He might be a douche in real life, but he?ll do well in this.

Here are some photos of Elizabeth Olsen at Stella McCartney?s LA show last night. I thought we should devote a post to Olsen, not because her Stella look was so tragic or bad (it wasn?t), but because of the RUMORS. Dragonfly rumors. You see, Elizabeth was back in LA for this event? after she flew to Hawaii to spend time with Tom Hiddleston. Tom was in Pasadena last Friday, so it?s even possible that they flew into LA together and they just kept it really, really quiet. We know Olsen and Hiddles were together because the director of Kong: Skull Island posted photos of Hiddles, Olsen and Brie Larson together. He quickly took the photo down because he was inundated with comments/craziness from the Dragonflies. People screencapped it though:
So, Olsen flew out to the Kong set to visit Hiddles? Was this after he dumped her? Or did the breakup never happen? These two are playing a hell of a lot of games for two people who are just casual friends. At this point, I guess I?ll believe that they?ve been together the whole time, that they started up around the time Elizabeth Olsen dumped her fiance over the phone, through all of last year, through TIFF, through Olsen denying their coupledom, and now into the new year. That?s what it looks like.
One last word about Olsen?s Stella McCartney look though? does she look pregnant to anyone else or is it just an unflattering dress? *drops bomb, walks away*

According to Us Weekly, Tom Hiddleston is dating Elizabeth Olsen. I know, it seems kind of random, right? Olsen and Hiddles have known each other for a while, and they worked together last year on I Saw the Light ? he plays Hank Williams and she plays Hank?s wife Audrey Mae Williams. So? I?m guessing they hooked up on set?
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen?s sister Elizabeth Olsen has a new man in her life! The Avengers star has been getting cozy with her costar Tom Hiddleston, a source tell Us Weekly.
?They have been hooking up,? the insider tells Us of the longtime friends, who become close while shooting upcoming movie musical I Saw the Light, in which they play husband and wife.
?It?s casual,? the insider says, adding that the two won?t be rushing into titles anytime soon, but they do make sure to ?text when they?re apart.?
And the timing for Hiddleston, 34, couldn?t be more perfect, considering Olsen, 26, called off her engagement to Boyd Holbrook this past January.
?She wants to make a new life for herself,? the source says. ?She?s having fun.?
Hiddleston was previously linked to record producer Jane Arthy.

What I?m getting from this is that Hiddles is a homewrecker. Olsen was engaged to Boyd Holbrook while she and Hiddles were working on ISTL. So if they did start hooking up during the film shoot, Hiddles broke up an engagement. Huh. Anyway, I have my doubts that this is still an ongoing thing, just because he?s been filming The Night Manager all over the place and she?s been promoting Age of Ultron all over the place and they haven’t been in the same city at the same time that much. But sure, I?ll buy that they were hooking up and they?ve left the door open for more hooking up in the future. I?ll also buy that Hiddles is a homewrecker.
