| Victoria Beckham thought Meghan Markle's wedding gown was 'absolutely beautiful' | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Even after all of these days have passed, I still can?t get over how miserable Victoria Beckham looked at the royal wedding. She looked like she had just gotten the worst news of her life just before she got out of the car. She looked like she and David had just gotten into some huge fight and she was trying not to cry. Well, here?s one theory about Posh?s ?sourpuss? expression: the night before the wedding, David had been at the Soho Farmhouse and he ended up taking a selfie with an attractive brunette woman named Kara. Kara posted the photo to Instagram, but she ended up deleting it (you can see it here). I mean, does it follow that David and Kara snogged or whathaveyou? No. But I would be interested in knowing if Posh even knew where David was and what he was doing the night before they turned up at the wedding. And maybe that not-knowing is why she looked so miserable.
Meanwhile, Victoria gave an interview to the Evening Standard where she talked about what she thought about the royal wedding and more. Some highlights:
She loved the wedding: ?It was such a beautiful, incredible wedding. It was just the best day. They looked so happy and everybody was just so happy for them. Meghan seems like a genuinely lovely woman who really loves him. It felt very real, very honest.?
On Meghan?s Givenchy wedding gown: ?I thought she looked absolutely beautiful. It really suited her. I thought it was perfect for her. And Harry looked great.?
She wore her own design to the wedding: ?I love a bit of navy. The dress is one of my favorites. It isn?t in store until November, but we?ve had so many inquiries about it that I?m seeing whether I can bring it forward.?
[From Us Weekly]
I was too busy looking at Posh?s misery-face that I barely even looked at her dress. It actually wasn?t bad, and I honestly like navy too. I would much prefer to see women wear navy to a wedding than ?primrose yellow? or whatever. And I like that Victoria has too much class to insult Meghan?s wedding gown choice, and I felt the same way: was the Givenchy what I would have chosen for Meg? No. But I respect her choice and I thought she looked beautiful and happy.

Victoria Beckham got a lot of flack for her mood at the Royal Wedding, but thats how she always looks. She was in a navy midi dress with split sleeves which she paired with bright red heels. She looks so elegant and not try hard at all (see: Amal Clooney). I cant find a designer ID in my five minutes of looking but Im assuming this is a Victoria Beckham dress. If its not Ill update!
Look she is smiling here! This is Posh smiling.

Just days after premiering the autumn/winter collection of her namesake fashion line (and crushing my Spice Girls reunion dreams in the process), Victoria Beckham debuted a cute new haircut – an above-the-shoulders bob.
Hairstylist to the stars Ken Paves made the chop. He was in attendance at the Sunday runway show at New York Fashion Week, where Victoria was rocking a low-slung bun. He shared a pic of the new ?do on Instagram with the caption, ?That?s a wrap NYC! No better way for me to go than a fresh cut for my inspiring and beautiful friend Victoria Beckham!? He also posted a photo where he’s embracing Victoria at her NYFW show before he cut her hair.
So proud of you @victoriabeckham X

| Why is everyone criticizing Victoria Beckham for her latest eyewear ad? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Victoria Beckham has been trying to sell you everything for years. I remain unmoved by Posh Beckham?s fashion lines, quite honestly. I used to think her stuff was interesting, years ago, when she was just blatantly copying Roland Mouret. But here and now in 2018, I couldn?t pick Victoria?s clothes out of a lineup. Apparently, though, her brand sells well, she?s opening up stores around the world and she?s raking in the big money. She doesn?t just do ready-to-wear, obviously – she?s also got a piece of the lucrative accessories market, with purses, shoes, scarves (I?m assuming?) and eyewear.
Posh uses her social media to promote her label, obviously, and several days ago, she posted some official-looking ad images from her eyewear line. She tweeted the images out with this message: ?Back to work! Start the year with new frames from the Spring Summer 2018 #VBEyewear collection inspired by 1970s retro classics and updated for a feathery-light, fresh and modern look.? FEATHERY-LIGHT. Look at the image she posted for these feathery-light frames:
This model is named Giedre Dukauskaite. She?s 29 years old and she?s very slender. My guess is that she?s probably normal-sized by fashion industry standards, meaning that in person she probably looks very, very thin, but she probably fits into every sample size. I also think the Posh-styling of baggy, ?70s-flavored clothing makes Giedre seem especially thin. But all in all, I wouldn?t have even picked up on WHY this image was causing so much commotion. Like, this looks like a Marc Jacobs ad to me. Giedre looks like most models (and props to Posh for hiring a 29-year-old as opposed to a 13-year-old).
Still, I guess this was the first time that people saw a model in an advertisement, because people are freaking the f–k out about how Giedre is really thin and Posh is a terrible person for encouraging eating disorders. Piers Friggin? Morgan is on his high horse about how this ad is ?shocking and shameful? and sends a terrible message to young girls and all of that. You guys? why am I so weird to not get why this ad is so terribly different than all of the other completely unrealistic ads featuring very thin models? I?m not saying that we shouldn?t talk about advertising and body image and all of that – we absolutely should have those conversations. But why about this ad in particular? Am I missing something?

| Victoria Beckham on her fashion line: 'I approve absolutely everything' | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Vogue hosted a new conference last week called Forces of Fashion that allowed for dialogues between designers and Vogue editors. The lineup was impressive with attendees including Rihanna and Marc Jacobs. Conversations included ethical fashion (Stella McCarthy), maintaining the ?cool? factor (Virgil Abloh and Heron Preston) and Instagram?s influence (Marc Jacob and Kevin Systrom). Had I the time and disposable income, I?d have liked to attend. Also present was designer Victoria Beckham who participated in a discussion called When Fashion is Your Second Act with Vogue Runway director, Nicole Phelps. In addition to talking about making fashion her second career, Victoria discussed how her line survived where most celebrity lines have not. According to Victoria, her success comes down to her overseeing every aspect of her line which has given her an education in fashion that?s allowed her line to both grow and endure.
The list of celebrities who have dabbled in fashion design at one point or another is almost too long to recount. From Beyonc’s Deron to Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B., most such forays into fashion labels of their own have fizzled long before the stars’ celebrity has waned. But there are a few exceptions to this rule, and Victoria Beckham is perhaps one of the most triumphant.
“I was very aware that people had preconceptions,” said Beckham of her early creative years on Thursday atVogue’sForces of Fashionconference in New York. “I didn’t know very much at all about the fashion industry… I was probably quite naive and a little unaware. And not as scared as I would be if I was doing it now, knowing what I know now.”
“I love the development process,” she noted of creating her aforementioned makeup line. “I love talking about the packaging. [My husband]Davidthinks I’m really boring that I get so excited about boxes and stuff. But I find it really interesting.”
Her team is so small, asserted Beckham, that she still oversees the smallest of details, like which celebrities are loaned clothing from her line. “I approve absolutely everything,” she claimed, though she noted that some in-the-spotlight figures ? likeMelania Trump? appear in her clothing because they make the purchases themselves.
Ultimately, it’s her deep level of involvement in every level of her brand that Beckham believes has set her apart from other celebrities dabbling in fashion design over the years.
“I think that many of these other celebrities, those were licensing deals? They were putting their names on other people’s products,” she explained. “And I don’t think there’s anything wrong in that. But for me, it was never about that. I wasn’t singing anymore. I’m not an actress. I really put everything into this [brand] ? this was a new career for me. I had a vision, it was very focused, and I surrounded myself with the right people.”
[From Fashionista]
I appreciate Victoria?s commitment and I do think she has grown as a designer. I?d wear her stuff if I could afford it. I think she?s probably on to something about her involvement being personal vs. other celebrities who license their names. They probably weren?t overly invested in the line’s details other than profitability. But I also think there is a bit more to her weathering the storm than her dedication: her husband spent a few million pounds bailing her out when the label was operating at a loss. I?m not critiquing her just saying that it’s easier to see for a line to survive that doesn’t have to answer to investors. Obviously, she has learned from her earlier mistakes, including trying to expand too rapidly. She?s also probably not the only designer to be bailed out when they bite off more than they could chew. She did the work to get where she is and she has become a respected designer so she deserves credit. Plus, I appreciate the shade for #45?s wife, you could probably see the icicles forming on her words as she said them.
And who knows, with her line?s success, maybe her clothes could get a US Vogue cover?

| Victoria Beckham works out for two non-continuous hours every morning | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Victoria Beckham is promoting her fashion line, her makeup collection and probably a dozen other things. This is the year of celebrity makeup lines, isn?t it? Posh is working with Estee Lauder on her makeup line, which is smart – I would imagine it would be very difficult to do a makeup start-up if you are anyone other than Rihanna or a Kardashian-Jenner. Better to just work with an established brand and put your name on it. To promote all of Posh?s projects, she chatted with the Sunday Times about her many blessings, her workout schedule, and her ability to multi-task and delegate. Some highlights:
Her two morning workouts: ?I get up quite early, around 6 a.m., and do an hour in the gym before the kids get up, then I give them breakfast and David or I take them to school. I?ll then fit in another hour?s workout before I go to the office. I?m very disciplined, I have to be. It?s really the only time in the day I get to myself. No one comes into the gym, no one follows me in there with a laptop. If I?m standing in the kitchen for too long, then laptops will come floating in my direction. Someone always wants something approved, something signed off. Other than the children no one dares come into the gym.?
Time management: ?It?s all about managing time and having a good team of people around you. It?s not easy. I?m a bit of a control freak. I love what I do, and I always want to be the best ? whether that?s designing an amazing collection, putting on the best fashion show, creating a make-up collection, being the best mum, the best wife. Luckily I have a brilliant support network that makes everything possible and an assistant who will tell me when I need to stop ? I listen to her when she says it?s time to go home and have dinner with David and the kids.?
She eats healthy: ?I?m in the fortunate position where it?s easy for me. I can afford to eat well. I expect a lot from my body? and I?m never sick. You have to be kind to your body if you expect a lot from it.?
Smiles & blessings: ?I do smile and laugh a lot. Every morning I genuinely wake up and realize how lucky and blessed I am ? despite how I often look in pictures! Thankfully because of social media people can now see the images and videos that me and my family choose to post and see us as we are, rather than how others want us to be seen.?
[From People]
I think doing two non-continuous hours of exercise sounds dumb, but then again, I don?t have kids. Nor do I have a home gym. Maybe if I had a home gym, I would parcel out my workouts throughout the day. That might be nice, actually, except for the problem about showering. I need to shower after a workout, because I?m so sweaty. So what does Posh do in between workout #1 and #2? She?s just sweaty and not caring? Hm. But I agree with her about needing that time to be by herself, with her own thoughts. There?s the physical release of working out, but there?s also the emotional/psychological release of just being able to let your mind wander and decompress for a few hours. It?s really important (for me, at least).

| Will Victoria Beckham make pajamas as outerwear happen? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

New York Fashion Week will once again soon be upon us, and designers are getting ready to wow us with their newest collections. One such designer is the Posh One herself, Victoria Beckham. After the huge success this past spring with her capsule collection for Target (I still love my calla lily blouse), she?s hoping her latest collection will bring pajamas in vogue.
On Tuesday, the 43-year-old former Spice Girl showed off one of the outfits from her pre-Spring 2018 ready-to-wear collection while out and about in New York City. Victoria rocked a Pink gingham check pajama-inspired top and trousers. She completed the look with a camel-hued sweater and nude-toned heels – which you can?t see because her pants obscure them. This would drive me insane. I am a stickler for a proper hem, which I like to break at the vamp of the pump (you?re only really supposed to see the form of the shoe, but maybe that?s just me). Back in June, VB modeled a blue version of the same outfit.
The comfy ensemble is part of Victoria?s Resort collection, which, judging by the looks showcased on Vogue‘s website, should be another success. I am coveting that gorgeous cobalt blue jacket featured in look #12. It looks like the outfit Victoria wore later that same day to take her son Romeo to the U.S. Open on Tuesday, a flowy blue ensemble consisting of culottes and a matching top from the same collection. I am envious of how she can totally pull off seemingly effortless elegance. And, if PJs come into fashion, does this mean I can wear my flannel Big Dog jammies to the office? Fingers firmly crossed.
If introducing her new RTW collection wasn?t enough, Victoria is also gearing up for the release of her second makeup collaboration with Estee Lauder, which is set to launch tomorrow. I love EL (former navy tights-wearing beauty associate here) and I think the new shades are great. I did the high fashion pajama look, and I?m sure we will be seeing more of it.

| Victoria Beckham denies trying to legally block Spice Girls reunion | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Since the anticipated reunion of iconic 90s girl power band the Spice Girls was announced, the news has gone from good to bad, with new issues continuing to arise and dash hopes of a reunion. Victoria ?Posh? Beckham and Melanie ?Sporty? Chisholm never planned to be a part of the reunion, leaving Emma ?Baby? Bunton, Melanie ?Scary? Brown and Geri ?Ginger? Halliwell-Horner to tour as GEM. But now, that mini-reunion is in question, as Victoria has enlisted lawyers to block GEM from performing the band?s biggest hits.
A source told The Sun that Victoria is concerned that mixing new songs with Spice Girls classics has the potential to ?damage? the group?s legacy. The source went on to say, ?Victoria takes herself very seriously now and didn?t want to have an association with this project which she felt she would if they sang the classic songs and marketed themselves as the Spice Girls. She got lawyers involved as she has a writing credit on the hits and co-owns the companies which control the band?s legacy and finances.?
Victoria is credited as a co-writer for the band?s biggest hits, including, “2 Become 1,” “Say You?ll Be There” and “Spice Up Your Life”. She recently told The Sunday Times, “I do think they should sing new material, though, because what we did as the Spice Girls was so special. If they sang Spice Girls songs, I think I might be a bit sad.” As for the rest of the girls, The Sun reports that they?re ?devastated? that their former band mate is threatening legal action to stop them from singing the hits, adding:
?Victoria was a huge part of their lives and now she is using lawyers to block their comeback.?
?Victoria is proud of her Spice Girls history but this suggests she wants to cut all links with the group which transformed her life.?
?She is resorting to aggressive legal letters and it is an extremely sad way for things to end after all they have been through together.?
[From The Sun]
Of course, Victoria is denying these accusations. Her people contacted the Daily Mail and asserted ?No legal letter was sent, this is a fabrication by The Sun and this story is now being handled legally by Victoria?s lawyer.?
It seems Victoria really didn?t need to bother making any effort to block the reunion (if she is actually trying to do so,) as it sure does look like it?s not going to happen at all. Geri is expecting a baby with hubby Christian Horner in October, and I think on stage performing while well into pregnancy isn?t doctor-advised. At least her fellow Spice Girls are happy about the upcoming arrival. Emma was in attendance at a baby shower thrown by interior designer Yassmin Ghandehari in Geri?s honor this past weekend. Geri posted a picture from the party on Instagram with the caption “girl time.”
@sallywood1 @emmaleebunton – girl time ?
