Stepping out for some Olympic fun, Kate Middleton attended the ?Road to 2012: Aiming High? exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery in London, England this morning (July 19).
The Duchess of Cambridge smiled beautifully for the press as she fulfilled her role as an official patron, and viewed photographs that were commissioned to document the preparations for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Always the clotheshorse, Ms. Middleton had everyone?s attention in her length sleeve Olympian blue crepe shift dress by Stella McCartney.
Also in the house for the big event were 30 VIP guests including Ruth Mackenzie, Jeremy Hunt, and Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson.

Enjoying a day with the family, Kate Middleton and Prince William were spotted at the Beaufort Polo Club's exhibition match, in the United Kingdom?s National Arboretum.
The Duke and Dutchess of Cambridge brought their adorable new cocker spaniel puppy Lupo to show off to their cousins as the girls watched the 29-year-old hunk participate in the polo match.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the brunette beauty spent her morning with schoolchildren at an 'Expanding Horizons' Primary School camp in Kent, England.
Kate sat around the fire and talked to the children and when she left one camper said, ?I asked her what it was like to be a princess. She said she gets treated very well and William is very sweet and kind and spoils her."

An outdoorsy Kate Middleton was spotted spending the day with schoolchildren at an 'Expanding Horizons' Primary School camp in Kent, England on Sunday (June 17).
The Dutchess of Cambridge participated in various outdoor activities at the Widehorizons Margaret McMillan House and looked lovely in earth tones with a pair of green rain boots.
The brunette beauty looked relaxed as she sat around a fire with the children who showed her their teepees, and after chatting with the kids inside she exited saying, ?Thank you very much for showing me your bedroom."
After her visit, one of the campers told the press, "I asked her what it was like to be a princess. She said she gets treated very well and William is very sweet and kind and spoils her."

Stepping out to celebrate their cousin?s wedded bliss, Prince William and Kate Middleton were among the royal guests at Emily McCorquodale?s wedding to James Hutt at the Church of St Andrew and St Mary in Stoke Rochford, Lincolnshire, UK.
The elegant Duchess of Cambridge looked like her usual chic self in a hand-painted silk floral ?chinoiserie? dress by Jenny Packham while the Duke looked dapper in a black suit paired with a grey vest.
Also attending the beautiful ceremony, which was held at the same church Miss McCorquodale was christened at in 1983, was her other cousin Prince Harry.
The celebratory day comes just after the Duke and Duchess have been keeping quite a busy schedule. As previously reported by GossipCenter, the royal pair took a carriage ride with Prince Harry as part of Queen Elizabeth II?s Diamond Jubilee celebrations this past week.

Did I expect Duchess Kate to get knocked up right after her wedding? Not really. I hoped she would, just because it would give her something to do, and it would give her an international storyline that we could all follow breathlessly. But I didn?t really expect her to get knocked up right away. But I did think the announcement would come before Kate and William?s first wedding anniversary, but it didn?t. Instead, there were a slew of reports claiming that the royal couple was hellbent on waiting (Kate?s specialty) and several royal sources claimed that Kate and William were merely focused on not pulling focus from the Queen during her Diamond Jubilee. One source even claimed that Kate and William would wait until 2013 to even start trying for a baby.
Well, now that the Diamond Jubilee stuff is done and the royal family is preparing for some time off before the London Olympics (they open on July 27), perhaps it?s time to re-evaluate the royal baby plans? Or they could just go on vacation again. Why not do both?!?
HollywoodLife.com has spoken to a source with inside knowledge about the Royal couple who reveals that William and Kate are now trying for their first baby and we have the real reason they?ve waited to start a family.

?They can?t wait to have a baby,? a source tells us. ?They were waiting for the Queen?s Jubilee to be over before trying for a baby. They didn?t want to overshadow such a big moment in the Queen?s life. But now they are more than ready and Kate could quite possibly be in the early stages of pregnancy right now!?
We told you that Prince William told Katie Couric that he wanted to start a family with Kate and that he might not continue with the Royal Air Force ? so that he can become a dad!

It?s interesting to think that Kate and William might actually try to get pregnant now, and Kate would be in her first trimester during the Olympics? meaning she would have to do two things at once, ?work? at a royal and gestate, at the same time. Imagining the enormity of that – in Kate?s mind – makes me think that she?ll be putting it off until after the Olympics. But sure, this is possible. I could see how Kate and William might be reviewing their baby plans now that the Jubilee stuff is over.
Or maybe all of this is just the cover story because Harry and Kate made a very special ginger baby last night.

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebration has begun in earnest in England. Today is the big ?Diamond Jubilee River Pageant Flotilla? down the Thames. Hundreds of boats and thousands of people are participating in the event – basically, the Queen and her family are on a huge barge (a fancy, royal barge), leading hundreds of other seaworthy vessels down the Thames for some kind of extravaganza event. These are some photos from the event. You can see some more of the extraordinary photos here.
Prince Harry, Prince William and Duchess Kate were there, of course, on The Queen?s Barge (sidenote: not the real name, but shouldn?t it be?), as well as The Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall (Camilla) and the Duke of Edinburgh. The men wore their military dress uniforms and the ladies wore their business-classy finest. Duchess Kate wore this fetching and eye-catching Alexander McQueen suit which is making me ill with envy. Most of the time, I?m pretty meh on Kate?s clothes but this McQueen is devastatingly beautiful on her. I?m in awe of the way the sleeves and bodice are cut perfectly to her proportions. I even love her matching hat. This might be one of my favorite outfits ever on Kate. Now if we could just get her to stop fondling her hair during public events.
Harry and William were looking cheeky and cute too. Camilla and The Queen both wore white, and (just my opinion) the Queen looked kind of pissed off about it. Surely Camilla could have gone with a different color? If the Queen is wearing white, no one else should.
PS? The Queen?s hat looks like a satellite dish. No disrespect.

Taking care of her Royal duties, Kate Middleton was spotted at the Buckingham Palace Garden Party in London, England today (May 29).
The Duchess of Cambridge looked gorgeous in a $2000 Pink Emilia Wickstead coat dress, the same one she wore to the Windsor Castle lunch a couple weeks back.
The Garden Party was part of the Diamond Jubilee of Britain?s Queen Elizabeth II, and had a guest list of over 8,000 people in total.
Two of the guests, newlyweds Gareth and Rebecca Jones, told press they were impressed with Kate?s poise during the shindig. "She congratulated us, and asked me how long I'd been in the RAF. She seems to share a lot of empathy and genuine interest in people."
Unfortunately, Middleton?s main man Prince William was unable to attend, as he?s off on active duty in north Wales with the RAF Search and Rescue squadron.

As we discussed on Friday, Duchess Kate and Prince William made a big appearance in London on behalf of the British Olympic team. Kate and William are ambassadors for the London Olympics, so I?m hoping that means we?ll be seeing more of them throughout the summer at official functions rather than on extended holidays. Many of you tweeted me about Kate?s up-do on Friday, and many of the tweets followed the same pattern, which was: ?OMG, Kate listened to us! She wore her hair up! You need to convince her to cut down on vacations, wear less eye makeup and bring her button problem under control.? Baby steps, y?all. Her hair is her security blanket, and I think it was very brave of her (?brave? being a relative term, and ?brave? in her own mind) to step out of her sausage curl comfort zone. But yes. Please, Kate. Ease up on the eye makeup. And the buttons. And stop taking so many vacations.
Anyhoodle. This story is a week old, but I thought I would dust it off because it is interesting (to me). The UK?s Now Magazine (like, a really budget tabloid) has a story in which Carole Middleton is allegedly telling people that Kate and William may try for a baby very, very soon. As opposed to next year, when Kate currently has ?baby-making? scheduled in-between several holidays.
Speculation over when the Duchess of Cambridge will get pregnant has been rife ever since her wedding day last year. But Now can reveal that Kate Middleton, 30, and Prince William, 29, are about to start trying for a baby after her mum Carole Middleton let the news slip to a pal last week.
‘Carole said Kate isn’t pregnant yet but wants to start trying soon,’ reveals our insider. ‘Carole smiles when she’s asked about a Royal baby and is clearly looking forward to being a grandmother.’
Royal commentators have previously insisted the couple wouldn’t try for a baby until 2013 because of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, the London Olympics and a host of other engagements this year. But now it sounds like it could be sooner.
Our source says: ‘Carole said Kate can’t believe how perfect her first year of marriage has been. A pregnancy would be the icing on the cake for them.’

A few weeks ago we debated Carole Middleton?s role in her daughter?s ascension to royalty, and whether Carole is some kind of royal-whispering Svengali. I know what I?m about to say sounds anti-feminist and very, very dated, but I wouldn?t be surprised at all to learn that Carole Middleton was encouraging her daughter to get pregnant sooner than later to solidify her (Kate’s) position within the royal family. Do you know what I?m trying to say? It seems like motherly advice, especially when that mother is Carole Middleton and she bankrolled and manipulated her daughter?s way into the highest echelon of UK society. Carole wants Kate to have a baby because Carole has her eye on Kate?s position within the royal family, and she wants Kate to lock this thing down with a (baby) bow on top.

The lovely couple made their way into the luxury hotel in London, England as they prepared for the 29-year-old prince?s address to the prestigious members of the Thirty Club.

Capping off a full day in the spotlight, Prince William and Kate Middleton made their grand arrival at the Imperial War Museum in London, England on Thursday evening (April 26).
With the Duchess of Cambridge looking elegant in an Amanda Wakeley charcoal grey dress with 3/4 length sleeves, the good-looking couple were on-hand for a reception to help launch the Imperial War Museum Foundation's First World War Galleries: Centenary Campaign.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Will and Kate spent the earlier part of the day attending a reception for the Scott-Admundsen Centenary Race at Goldsmith Hall
The packed day of public appearances come as the royal couple is readying to ring in their first wedding anniversary on Sunday (April 29) - though the surely romantic plans have been kept under wraps thus far.
