Photos of Angelina Jolie boarding her private plane looking like a damn corpse have sparked new concerns that the actress is suffering from an eating disorder. She’s not a hundred pounds soaking wet and she’s five fucking eight. Of course the bitch has an eating disorder. Jesus. Am I taking crazy pills? The Daily Mail says:
According to Grazia magazine, Angelina survives on as little as 600 calories a day.
“Angelina has been known to start her day with little more than a spoonful of coconut oil and a handful of cereal,” a source told Grazia last week.
“Sometimes she’ll skip lunch altogether or will just grab a few almonds and some gummy bears while she’s on the go, or will have a protein-based shake.
A lot of people are worried that she is taking things too far… everyone has been begging her to eat more, but unfortunately she just doesn’t seem to be putting on any more weight.”
Angelina Jolie was so stunningly beautiful back in her Lara Croft heyday, and now she looks like something that should be haunting a lake. She’s all sinew and bone. Shaking hands with her would be like shaking hands with a damn eagle.
And now for someone who clearly ISN’T anorexic, the lovely Salma Hayek at the “Puss ‘n Boots” photocall in Rome:

| Angelina Jolie 'just can't hide the crazy' says In Touch Weekly | Added 13 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

This week?s In Touch Weekly is a doozy. Of course, it?s all about how Angelina Jolie is a horrible person and a bad mother because a decade ago she was doing drugs and OMGOMG OMGOMG SHE KISSED HER BROTHER. Something like that. Actually, In Touch editors tried to ground the story in something real – currently, Angelina and Brad are being sued by one of their former assistants, a woman named Ana Charlotiaux. This woman claims she was ?wrongfully terminated? simply because she asked for too much time off, and she?s brought a lawsuit against Brangelina. In Touch uses the idea that this lawsuit COULD ?reveal? horrible information about Angelina (never Brad). But! In Touch didn?t speak to Ana Charlotiaux, they only spoke to ?another assistant and staffers? who of course remain nameless (and likely fictitious). Here are some highlights from the story:
*An old friend says: ?Angelina tries to hide it, but she has a crazy side to her that?s beyond quirky. In the end, she just can?t hide the crazy.?
*Angelina is still fascinated by blood. ?When Angelina?s kids get cuts and scrapes, she saves their discarded bandages in a large jar. She thinks she?s being edgy and artistic, but to others, she just seems weird.?
*Angelina?s behavior is often compulsive. She?s replaced her former drug addictions with shopping online for hours, buying thousands of dollars worth of clothes and jewelry.
*Another compulsion: working out. An employee shares, ?She locks herself in the basement every day and exercises for hours. No one is to bother her during that time.? Apparently, she uses the workouts ?as a way to escape her family.?
*Angelina and Brad love to go out and get bombed. A staffer reveals that while in London, ?Angelina and Brad more than once left kids locked up with supervision in their hotel bedrooms and left them behind to go out drinking – a pastime they both seem to enjoy.? While in Budapest, Angelina and Brad rented a hotel suit where they enjoyed a nice meal and lots of wine while their kids stayed on an entirely different floor. A staffer says, ?They do this quite frequently. They had a bottle of red wine with their meal that night, and then they went down to the bar and drank even more.? Then Brad and Angelina slept in the next morning and weren?t there for their kids? breakfasts! SCANDAL.
*Angelina has weird eating habits, ?sometimes eating only one type for days at a time.? An employee says, ?She became obsessed with soup. Light soups that didn?t have a cream base – that became the constant request.? A family insider says, ?Her daily diet varies – sometimes it will be just green tea and nuts. Other days, it will be red meat and red wine, and then back to tea and some tiny portion of protein.
*Although she claims to not care about what?s written about her, a source says, ?Angelina browses blogs looking for stories about her family.?
*Angelina throws out leftover food. OMG.
*Angelina is ?very strict and very hard? with their staff. ?One time, a young assistant was pleading and crying to keep her job, but Angelina coldly turned her away.? Brad, however, plays the good guy. ?He is very easygoing and never fires anyone. It?s clear that he?s not the boss – she is!?
*Angelina isn?t a laid-back mom – ?She has the kids do their homework over and over until its perfect.?
*Angelina sometimes skips meals and opts for juice fasts, and sometimes she?ll only eat ?one bite? of what the chefs prepare.
Now, considering the In Touch Weekly article actually featured a photo of Angelina with Photoshopped devil horns (NO JOKE), how seriously should we take it? Isn?t this just straight-up anti-Angelina propaganda? The thing is that I could actually believe some of it if it wasn?t being twisted around to sound like ANGELINA IS THE DEVIL OMG. Like, I believe Angelina and Brad leave their kids ?locked up? in hotel suites (with nannies) while they go out and have a date night. I believe Angelina doesn?t eat enough. I believe she probably shops online and has other compulsive behaviors – she seems hyper-organized at times, and it wouldn?t surprise me at all if she was OCD. As for the ?keeping bloody bandaids in a jar? thing – gross. God knows.

Angelina Jolie?s promotion for her directorial debut (for full-length feature film), In the Land of Blood and Honey, is starting now. I guess it really started when she got the cover of Vanity Fair a few months ago, but now it?s super-serious. I wonder how much press Angelina is going to do as writer-director, and how much press the actual film actors will be doing? Yes, most of the actors are not well known to American audiences, so Angelina?s name is going to be the biggest selling point. But it will be interesting to see how much press she does in support of the film. For now, though, Angelina is going to be on 60 Minutes on Sunday! Huzzah! CBS has already released a short video clip and some interview excerpts:
She wasn’t always toy shopping with Shiloh and visiting with refugees in the Congo. Prior to her current, globe-trotting wife as an actress, humanitarian, mother of six and longtime partner to Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie first became a household name as a weird, risk-taking Hollywood hottie.
Now 36, the star (whose directorial and screenwriting debut In the Land of Blood and Honey is out in December) says that the much-parodied darkness of her earlier years was very real — and very scary.
“I went through heavier, darker times and I survived them. I didn’t die young,” Jolie tells 60 Minutes’ Bob Simon in a new interview airing Sunday.
“So I am very lucky. There are other artists and people that didn’t survive certain things,” adds the Oscar winner.
But, she teases to Simon: “People can imagine that I did the most dangerous, and I did the worst. . . for many reasons, I shouldn’t be here? You just. . . too many times where you came close to too many dangerous things, too many chances taken too, too far.”
Not that she’s completely reformed, of course. “I’m still a bad girl,” Jolie insists. “I still have that side of me. . . it’s just in its place now. . . it belongs to Brad–or our adventures,” she gushes of Pitt, 47, her man since 2005.
[Via Us Weekly]
That was kind of hot – ?I’m still a bad girl? I still have that side of me. . . it’s just in its place now. . . it belongs to Brad–or our adventures.? Sexy adventures. With whips and lots of leather. No wonder Brad looks so tired.
But with the good comes the bad. A British tabloid – Grazia, excerpted in The Mail – claims that Angelina is subsisting on a mere 600 calories a day and that she?s just wasting away. Which is weird, because in photos recently, Jolie hasn?t been looking so super-skinny. She looks like she?s been eating solids, more so than the Duchess of Cambridge:
Angelina Jolie?s weight is said to hover around the 97lb mark – underweight for her 5ft 8in height. Regardless of her emaciated frame though, sources say Angelina rarely eats a full meal and frequently forgets to eat. According to Grazia magazine, Angelina survives on as little as 600 calories a day, which is the equivalent of two bowls of cereal with milk.
‘Angelina has been known to start her day with little more than a spoonful of coconut oil and a handful of cereal,’ a source told Grazia last week. ‘The worrying thing is that she is so busy, she often forgets to eat. Sometimes she’ll skip lunch altogether or will just grab a few almonds and some gummy bears while she’s on the go, or will have a protein-based shake rather than anything more substantial. Then dinner could be something like a lean steak and a glass of red wine.’
The Grazia source said: ?What with her career, Brad and their six kids, Angelina has a lot on. Yes, stress plays a part. She is the type of person who drops weight when she’s stressed out. She simply loses her appetite and can survive on almost nothing. But a lot of people are worried that she is taking things too far and that she won’t have the strength to do all the things she wants to do if she doesn’t gain some weight. Everyone has been begging her to eat more and she is trying not to get any skinnier, but unfortunately she just doesn’t seem to be putting on any more weight.’
[From The Mail]
Meh. I don?t even buy that Jolie only weighs 97 pounds. My guesstimate for her weight is around 110-120 – very slender, with some muscles and some hips and boobs. I mean, could Angelina stand to put on 10 pounds? Yep. 20 pounds? Sure. She would even look great with 30 more pounds. But no matter how much weight she gains, I think the weight usually only goes to certain areas – when she gains weight, it seems to go to her boobs and mid-section, never to her legs and arms. She just has the skinny arms & legs gene. Skinny bitch!

For me, Angelina Jolie has always gotten extra points for being a rare Hollywood star who doesn?t have a ?team? of sycophants and handlers ?managing? her every whim. She?s always had a manager - Geyer Kosinski - who she?s been with for probably 15 or 16 years. She has a lawyer or two, and that?s it. When she started up with Brad in 2005, she took meetings around Hollywood to see if she could/should sign with an agency, and she ended up hiring CAA. It was not a good fit, and Jolie ended up firing CAA in early 2006 - some say she quit the agency in a fit of pregnancy hormones and because she?s never liked to be micromanaged, which CAA is famous for. Since that 2006 fit, Jolie has just stuck with Kosinski as her sole representation in Hollywood - no agent, no publicist, no ?team?.
That?s just changed, though. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jolie just signed on with Ilene Feldman at IFA Talent because she wants to get more diverse work. Interesting.
Angelina Jolie has added a talent agent to her team of representatives. The actress-filmmaker has signed with Ilene Feldman at IFA Talent, who also represents Ryan Gosling, among others.
The last time Jolie had acting representation by a talent agency was in 2006, when she was with CAA (a stint that lasted 13 months). In March, she signed with UTA to rep her as a writer and director but not as an actor. She continues to be with her longtime manager Geyer Kosinski at Media Talent Group and attorney Robert Offer of Sloane Offer Weber & Dern.
Sources say IFA will help Jolie, arguably the biggest female star in the world, find roles in smaller, independently financed films, not studio tentpoles or franchises.
The move comes just over month before the release of Jolie?s directorial debut, In the Land of Blood and Honey, which she also wrote. Jolie has spent the past several years acting in big studio movies such as The Tourist, Salt and Wanted, and has lent her voice to the mega-grossing Kung Fu Panda movies.
Her last dramas were 2008?s The Changeling and 2007?s A Mighty Heart, the former earning her an Oscar nomination. She won the best supporting actress statuette for 1999’s Girl, Interrupted.
[From The Hollywood Reporter]
Part of me is disappointed. Part of Jolie?s appeal (to me) is that she proves that someone with intelligence and talent can excel in Hollywood without having some epic ?industry? of people working on her behalf. I mean, what?s next? Will Jolie hire a publicist? Nooo!
But what this is probably really about is Angelina aging in the industry. She knows that she?s not always going to be getting the biggest and best scripts in Hollywood, and although she?s one of the few female stars who can single-handedly get a film financed and made, Jolie is smart enough to know that this too shall pass. She?s looking into the future and she sees fewer roles where she?s jumping off of overpasses onto moving vehicles and more work where she?s the supporting player in a medium-sized ensemble, or the lead in a small film. It?s smart, sure. But I wonder if she would have been able to make that transition without an agent?

Bringing an end to their time in Japan, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were spotted at the Haneda International Airport in Tokyo today (November 10).
Joined by their six kids, the ?Mr. and Mrs. Smith? costars smiled for fans and press as they boarded an outbound flight following their brief 48-hour stay in the city where Brad was promoting his new movie ?Moneyball.?
During a press conference in Tokyo, Pitt shared his feelings on the amazing recovery efforts in Japan after the massive earthquake/tsunami disaster earlier this year.
?You are bringing everything forward to rebuilding and reclaiming the lives for yourselves and for others. It?s valued and inspiring to us. Your tenacity and perseverance and survival has a great effect on us, to the world community, and I applaud you all for that.?

Angelina in COLOR. Dear God, is the end nigh? These are photos from the Tokyo, Japan premiere of Moneyball. I saw Moneyball and really, really liked it, and I?m not even a baseball person. The Japanese like baseball, though. Right? I mean, I?m not trying to generalize about an entire nation, but baseball is a popular sport over there, correct? I believe it is, so I imagine they?ll like the film.
Anyway, Angelina is wearing this RED(!!!!!!!) dress. I can?t find the designer ID, but I suspect it?s L?Wren Scott, just because of the way the bust is cut - that?s the way L?Wren does it, and Angelina has worn similar L?Wren dresses and gowns before. She does well in L?Wren (and Versace). I wish she would wear sexy, well-cut dresses like this more often. I wish she would wear color more often too. She also looks like she?s put on a little bit of much-needed weight. Her boobs look great, and her midsection looks a bit fuller. Her arms are still pretty bony though. Also: RED LIPS. Goodness.
As for Brad? Jeez, look how long his hair is. Is this his new thing? Growing out body, facial or head hair randomly? His hair was longish a few months ago when he was filming World War Z in Scotland and England, and I believe he?s still filming that interminable sci-fi film still, now in Budapest. I think the difference in hair length will probably be justified because the film moves back and forth in time. Maybe long-haired Brad is the super-future Brad. I don?t know. I kind of like him with longer hair.

Stepping out for a promotional appearance, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were spotted at the premiere of Brad?s new movie ?Moneyball? in Tokyo, Japan today (November 9).
The ?Curious Case of Benjamin Button? hunk and his ?Changeling? chick both looked to be in good spirits as they posed for the paparazzi on the red carpet.
And of course, Angelina had all the boys drooling in her super sexy red spaghetti strap dress, while Brad opted for a black v-neck with matching blazer and trousers.
Earlier in the week, Brangelina and their brood of six children created quite the scene at the Haneda International Airport as they arrived in Japan.

| Angelina Jolie helps get 'Villa Angelina' apartments for Bosnian refugees | Added 13 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Do you remember this ^^^ photo? It?s from a UNHCR trip that Angelina took to a refugee displacement center in Rogatica, Bosnia in April, 2010. The two ladies in the pic with Angie are sisters, Lena and Mara Babic. Remember those names. Angelina met one-on-one with many of the refugees who are still homeless more than a decade after the Bosnian War. Well, after Angelina (and Brad) visited this displacement center, they kick-started a donation drive to ensure that many of the refugees could be placed in more permanent housing - and they ended up getting a $500,000 donation from the United States government, directed to the housing situation in this one displacement camp. Anyway, the new apartment building was just opened up, and the refugees have named it ?Villa Angelina?.
With tears in their eyes, 13 Bosnian refugees moved Thursday into ‘Villa Angelina’ ? a brand new U.S.-financed apartment building built after Angelina Jolie drew attention to their plight.
The 13 mainly elderly tenants were the last in their refugee camp, an old rundown school for people displaced by the fighting in Bosnia that ended 16 years ago. Some cried as they walked over the thresholds of their small flats.
For years, authorities in Rogatica tried to find a permanent solution for them, but it wasn’t until after Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt visited last year that the U.S. agreed to donate $500,000 for housing. Jolie is a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. refugee agency. The refugees in Rogatica are convinced that her lobbying aided their cause.
The new tenants could hardly wait for the speeches to be over to receive the keys to the fully furnished small apartments in the bright yellow downtown building. Villa Angelina is the only building built in Rogatica after the 1992-95 Bosnia war that killed 100,000 people and left hundreds of thousands homeless.
Surrounded by low, grim houses and apartment buildings, the yellow building stands out for its beauty ? one more reason to name it after the Hollywood star, people in Rogatica say.
After years of sharing a room with her sister and a bathroom with the rest of the refugees, Lena Babic, 79, finally held a set of keys in one hand and a photo of herself, her 73-year-old sister Mara, and Jolie in the other.
Even after she unlocked the door and sat on a sofa she and her sister now can call their own, Lena never put the photo down.
“Angelina saw everything,” she remembered, recounting the star’s visit to her old tiny room with the broken sofa next to the bathroom everybody used for washing clothes and dishes.
“She said, if I can do anything, you will have your own bathroom. She could not have done it on her own, others also helped, but she is the one who is in my heart,” Babic said, pressing the photo against her chest.
Babic opened drawers and cupboards in the kitchen, then returned to the living room and sat down, only to get back up again and check the closets ? everything was so perfect, she gloated.
The apartments belong to the municipality but the former refugees will be able to stay in them as long as they live.
“It’s a real pleasure to be here, to see these people, how happy they are to establish their new homes in Villa Angelina,” said Patrick Moon, the U.S. ambassador to Bosnia, who opened the two-story building.
[From The Associated Press]
Isn?t that a nice story? Yes, Angelina is NOT quoted and she was not at the ceremony, but they named the apartment building after her and sweet little Lena Babic clutches her photo of Angelina. Yes, I just wrote this story because I thought it was particularly sweet, and THIS is why people call her ?Saint Angelina?. She?s not a saint, I know - she?s just a compassionate person who is capable of effectively shaming her government into donating $500,000 so little old lady refugees can sleep in their own apartments. It?s lovely. I dare you not to be moved.

| Angelina Jolie is in Libya 'to see a country in transition at every level' | Added 13 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Back in April, as the ?Arab Spring? was in full effect after the successful protests in Egypt, Libyans decided that they wanted a piece of democracy too. Libya has been under the control of Moammar Gadhafi for decades, and in the protests/revolution/uprising/civil war that came next, thousands were left homeless, and thousands simply crossed over the Libyan border, hoping to find a better life. Angelina Jolie met with some of those refugees in April, on the Tunisian-Libyan border camps that had sprung up during the Arab Spring - go here for our coverage of that trip. Anyway, Jolie is back in Libya, but this time she?s not acting in her official capacity with the UNHCR. A UNHCR spokesperson says that she?s made the trip ?in a personal capacity? - although she?s meeting with aid agencies and UN teams. Angelina gave an exclusive statement to Reuters while she was on the ground:
Actress and U.N. goodwill ambassador Angelina Jolie was in Libya on Tuesday for a visit to help agencies bringing aid to Libyans in Tripoli and Misrata, she said in a statement provided to Reuters.
“I have come to Libya for a variety of reasons, to see a country in transition at every level and to witness efforts to fully realise the promise of the Arab Spring,” Jolie said. “The country faces a host of challenges, including internally displaced people, refugees, rule of law, security, sanitation, education, health and other humanitarian needs. All of these pieces must be delivered and coordinated properly in an environment of reconciliation and justice.”
The two-day trip was Jolie’s first to Libya, but she previously visited Libyan refugees in Malta and on the Italian island of Lampedusa in June, and went to Tunisia in April to appeal for international support for people fleeing the revolution there.
Jolie is an ambassador for the United Nations refugee agency UNHCR and is expected to announce an expanded role soon.
On her Libya trip, she met representatives from UNHCR, Medecins Sans Frontieres and local non-governmental organisations delivering assistance to Libyans in Misrata and Tripoli.
“I will be meeting with officials from all sides but above all, listening to the local people in the street. I am here to express solidarity with them. It is the work of rebuilding and recovery that will determine Libya’s future.”
[From Reuters]
I wonder why the UNHCR doesn?t want their fingerprints on this trip? Maybe the situation is a political hot potato and they?re just letting Angelina get out in front of it? I don?t get the politics of it. You know what interests me? How did Angelina get into the country? Did she just fly commercial from Budapest or London, into Tripoli? Or did she hitch a ride on a UN plane? I know it?s not particularly deep, but I?m always amazed by Angelina?s low-key, no-drama traveling.
Oh, there are even more quotes here, in another Reuters article. Jolie praised the revolutionaries, saying:
“What’s extraordinary … is that a lot of the people who are part of the solution and are working in positions of even military, and you find that just before the revolution they had retired, or were running restaurants or were selling baby clothes and they’ve all quit their jobs and they are all working here now on behalf of their country. They have all lost family members … they’ve suffered casualties themselves, they’ve lost limbs themselves and yet they’re all really fighting for something they believe in, and for the future of the country for their children, so it’s quite moving.”
“I’m also here on behalf of the Libyan people to show them solidarity. I think this revolution on behalf of human rights, which is what I feel these people really have been doing and what they have pushed for, and to help them to implement these new laws and help them with the future of their country.”

Last week, Angelina Jolie was in Geneva to pick up an award in recognition of her decade with the United Nations High Commission on Refugees - she?s been goodwill ambassador since 2001. Jolie also helped give out a prestigious award to a Yemeni humanitarian organization. Later, we found out that Jolie was also in discussions to take on a new role at the UN - that of Special Representative to the Afghan Refugee crisis.
In between all of this diplomacy and awards-receiving and giving, Angelina also took a moment to issue a statement on the ongoing crisis in Somalia. Now, putting her money where her mouth is, Angelina (and Brad) have donated $340,000 to Humanitarian Initiative Just Relief Aid, an organization that provides ?health services to Somali.? Apparently, Jolie and Pitt are directing the money specifically to woman and children who have been left refugees by Somali?s long-standing inner-turmoil, and the organization?s spokesperson said that the money will help expand ?the Badbaado health services clinic which helps 300 people per day.? Here?s Angelina?s statement on the Somali crisis from last week:
UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie on Tuesday urged the international community to scale up its efforts to deal with the crisis in the Horn of Africa, saying the lives of hundreds of thousands of refugees depended on it.
In a speech in Geneva to the annual meeting of UNHCR’s governing Executive Committee, or ExCom, the celebrated Hollywood actress described the situation in Somalia and surrounding countries as “the humanitarian crisis of a generation” and said further help was urgently needed.
“Today, three-quarters of a million people are at risk of death in the next four months in the Horn of Africa,” she said. “The work we are doing needs to scale up to meet the needs of these individuals. How we continue to respond to this period of malnutrition and famine is going to define the work of those NGOs, governments, and international organizations working in the Horn of Africa. It will, quite starkly, determine whether a huge number of people live or die.”
Her remarks came as news reports from the Somali capital, Mogadishu, said dozens of people had been killed in a suicide bomb blast near a government ministry. Jolie also urged the Executive Committee’s member states to remain committed to helping the world’s refugees despite the global environment of increasing economic and financial pressures.
“The challenges that UNHCR confronts to provide for refugees are immense and growing. The rich countries of the world are increasingly feeling budgetary constraints at home. They face pressures to reduce rather than maintain their current and promised levels of aid funding,” she said during her first address to ExCom, which reviews and approves UNHCR’s programmes and budget, advises on protection issues and discusses a wide range of other topics.?
“Nevertheless, we hope that these governments will remain committed to the cause of the world’s most vulnerable people, while we recognize and are grateful to them for their generosity,” added Jolie, who also expressed gratitude on Tuesday to countries hosting refugees.
[From the UNHCR?s press release]
I believe it was also confirmed by the UNHCR that Jolie will definitely be taking the ?Special Representative? position, which honestly does make her the Richard Holbrooke of refugees. The position should also get her significant face time with all of the NATO leaders, which should be interesting.
