Shakira is looking great these days, isn?t she? She?s found a hair color and style that really works, she lost the baby weight and her style seems to be slightly more conservative. All in all, I think this is the best she?s ever looked. Shakira covers the new issue of Glamour, which she seems to be using a platform to discuss her humanitarian and advocacy work. I like Shakira?s music, but I LOVE her advocacy work on behalf of children living in poverty. She?s known as one of those celebrities who really knows her stuff and puts her money and her time where her mouth is. She?s wonderful. Here are some highlights from the Glamour piece:
Shakira on her duet with Rihanna?
?[W]orking with her was utopia. She?s the sexiest woman on the planet. And at the end of the day, we?re both just basically Caribbean girls. The chemistry was so good and so real. She taught me dance moves. She was a sweet teacher.?
Working with fellow The Voice judge Adam Levine and other men in the industry?
?Dealing with boys at work and being the only girl can be challenging. I have my insecurities, but I?ve learned I have to be a good sport. I have to be able to take certain jokes and not take them personally. There are jokes made almost every second of the day. I had to develop a tough hide. You know, the music industry is dominated by guys. I work with men 98 percent of the time?producers, arrangers, musicians, engineers.?
Her success?
?Success happened little by little for me. I tasted the flavor of fame in small doses: I started at 10 years old when I won a music contest; I was performing at birthday parties, company meetings. I met with a record executive when I was 13 and sang ?Material Girl? to a cassette-tape boom box. I?ve shaken hands at every radio station, from Honduras to Ryan Seacrest?s. One day [I realized I was famous] enough. But here?s the thing: I?m still hungry. But I?m not hungry for fame?just the need to prove to myself that I can still do this.?
Her vision for her life?
?I feel like I?m not on earth just to shake it and shake it endlessly, you know??
Whether she has gotten any grief from Latin fans about her blond hair or being too thin?
?At the beginning. But my man, Gerard, prefers meat over bone. He doesn?t like too skinny. [Laughs.] That takes pressure off. I already have a lot to worry about. This month I?m not exercising because I have an album to finish and I have a baby. And I like these pastries in front of me.?
Whether the injustice she saw growing up planted the seed for her education charity?
?Being raised in a developing country opened my eyes to so much I cannot tolerate. In Colombia, education is sometimes considered a luxury, not a human right. And it?s not a priority in the agendas of many leaders. I feel a real sense of duty to use the voice and the platform I?ve been afforded by my fame to speak out for those whose voices don?t get a chance to be heard. [The Barefoot Foundation] provides education to vulnerable kids who live in extreme poverty. We?ve built six schools in Colombia and do work in South Africa and Haiti. We teach 5,000 students.?

I used to like them together, but people have told me that he seems like a d-bag and maybe he?s got a wandering dong? Taking off for a little mid-week traveling, Shakira arrived at LAX International Airport in Los Angeles on Wednesday (October 30).
Attempting to keep a low profile, the "Hips Don't Lie" hitmaker wore a leather jacket and distressed jeans with a pair of sunglasses as she strolled through the busy terminal.
Earlier this month, Shakira gave an interview about her involvement with T-Mobile as the face of its brand new global data plan.
"Today is all about bringing the world closer together," the 36-year-old singer proclaimed. "I'm excited to partner with T-Mobile and look forward to being able to share my music in new and innovated ways."

Cheering on dad from the seats, Shakira brought her baby boy to the Barcelona soccer match on Saturday (September 14).
Clad in a Barcelona jersey, little Milan sat on his mother's lap with grandma beside her while his father Gerard Pique hit the field to defeat Seville.
Recently, the 36-year-old "Voice" mentor earned a flattering prize from Victoria's Secret, though she was unable to attend the ceremony.
In honor of her fabulous post-baby body, Shakira nabbed the 2013 Sexiest Curves award from the lingerie company.

Her hips don?t lie, and all that honesty seems to make ?em look good too! Shakira showed off her shapely post-baby figure Thursday (August 15) as she and baby Milan touched down at LAX in Los Angeles.
On the career front, the Colombian songstress is featured in the latest issue of Self magazine discussing how she bounced back so quickly after having her first born.
Trying to avoid packing on the pregnancy pounds, the "Voice" judge explained that she worked out almost every weekday, saying, "I did Zumba throughout my pregnancy."
"I don't obsess over my flaws, because I see my body as a whole," she explains. "Besides, I think men appreciate confidence more than perfection."

Spoiling her adorable baby boy, Shakira took Milan to Bel Bambini for a shopping spree in Beverly Hills on Saturday (August 10).
The "Voice" coach looked cute in a black t-shirt, black and white patterned pants, and a black fedora as she carried her little guy back to the car where new baby toys awaited.
Lately, the 36-year-old songstress has been busy working on new music for her fans, which will be her 8th studio album.
On Saturday, Shakira shared a photo of herself with an acoustic guitar along with a couple of others in the studio with the caption, "What an amazing day with amazing songs! I'm never working with anyone again who isn't from Nashville!! Shak."

Oh my God, she has a killer body! Incredible that she just gave birth 6 months ago and already her body is so hot and perfect.
Here is Shakira wearing thong bikini on the beach in Hawaii. They are both capable of looking closer to normal on the beach considering who they are, I do find Shakira’s music videos so hot.

Heading back to her homeland, Shakira spent the afternoon exploring Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Thursday (June 20).
The ?Hip Don?t Lie? singer donned a pair of jeans and a white top as she stopped by the Colombian Consulate with her darling son Milan.
Shakira is in town to join her boyfriend Gerard Pique as he competed for the Confederations Cup with the Spanish National Soccer Team.

Shakira covers the July issue of Elle to promote her role as a judge on NBC’s “The Voice” with pretty good timing since the season finale is steadily approaching and is set to air on June 18. The finale itself will feature Bruno Mars, Florida Georgia Line, Nelly, and — get this — Cher. Even from a non-watcher of the show, I have to admit that’s a pretty impressive lineup for a reality competition program.
In Elle’s photoshoot, Shakira is going for sultry and playful, and she’s so pretty, but I will never stop complaining about her straw-like blonde hair. She just looks so much better as a brunette, and I understand the need to experiment, but this blonde has been intact for years now. The interview (at least from the excerpts that have been released thus far) isn’t anything special. Shakira touches upon motherhood and her relationship with Spanish soccer star Gerard Pique:
On the male coaches of “The Voice: “In general, I think I’ve treated the boys with mercy.”
On her relationship with Gerard Pique: “He has his own world and that’s actually one of the healthiest things about the relationship. I know that he?s the one person who is with me not because of any interest other than the love than unites us. There’s nothing I can offer him beyond my womanhood — does that word exist in English?”
On motherhood: “I’m still trying to figure it out. And I have a feeling I will try to do the same for the rest of my life. Some people put it like it’s very idyllic, some people put it like it’s a torturing experience, but it?s not quite one thing or the other. It’s like life – it comes with everything.”
On her future in music: “I have no idea of where I want to go musically, but I?m fine that way. I don’t need to remain faithful to any concept, you know.”

It’s a welcome sight to see that Shakira isn’t getting all preachy and thinking she’s an expert mother after just giving birth in January to her son, Milan. She’s no Gisele Bundchen for sure, but I’m glad that Shak decided to stop whining about not taking any maternity leave. That was a bit ridiculous to complain about when she flat-out chose to work immediately after her baby was born. Also, this hair is crazy.

Treating herself to a round of retail therapy, Shakira hit the stores on Saturday (June 1) in West Hollywood, CA.
Looking cute and casual in black pants and a white tee, the "Waka Waka" songstress added a pop of color to her ensemble with a bright Pink bag as she made a stop at Fred Segal to check out the latest looks.
Recently, the Colombian beauty announced she would be taking a season off from coaching on "The Voice" to spend more time with her son Milan who was born in January.
Shakira also opened up to USA Today about how she and footballer Gerard Piqu came up with their little guy's moniker. "His dad chose the name," she said. "And I already chose the name of the baby girl, but I won't say."

Taking her little man out for some fresh air and a little shopping, Shakira showed up at Bel Bambini in West Hollywood on Saturday afternoon (May 25).
Showing off her trim figure in black skinny jeans and a striped top, the "Waka Waka" singer and the stylishly dressed Milan spent some time in the posh baby store but ended up leaving empty handed.
Recently, the first time mom admitted that parenthood is more of a challenge than she thought it would be, telling reporters "Nobody told me it would be this hard. It takes a lot of energy but I love it. There's a lot of joy and fear."
The Colombian cutie continued,"Being a mother is surreal. It's a whole new experience to me, and I'm just discovering it second by second. And having him here, it's great, it's a new thing, it's another part of me and my loved one. He's accompanying me so I don't feel alone."
