In “things that might have been useful in the 90s” news, former Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson is launching a new makeup line. The line is the result of a collaboration between Pamela and her long-time makeup artist, Alexis Vogel, who created her sexy looks for her Playboy shoots. The collection comes in two palettes, Pamela Pink and Pamela Nude. The palettes contain everything you need to achieve a bombshell look like Pamela’s – from glossy lips to smokey eyes. Why makeup and why now, you may ask? Pamela told People magazine, ?When you put makeup on, you want to look sexy and have fun and [Alexis and I] had this kind of specific look that we used to do and so she convinced me to do this little kit with her.?
The makeup is 100% vegan and cruelty-free and 10% of the proceeds from the line go to the Pamela Anderson Foundation, which “supports organizations and individuals that stand on the front lines in the protection of human, animal, and environmental rights.” That covers a lot of bases, doesn’t it? Pamela said that the kits are ideal for makeup novices, stating, ?[Vogel] is really clear on these little cards on how to do the cat eye, your lips, and I think that?s another big thing when it comes to that look is really the pouty lips ? the stain, the lip liner, and then the lipstick, and then the lip gloss.?
If you’re curious to see what the 48-year-old actress looks like au naturel, you can check her starring in a short film, Connected, that made its online debut last week. In the 10 minute film, Pamela plays a fitness instructor facing a midlife crisis. I never thought of Pam as much of an actress but she’s not bad in this – and it’s nice to see her face out from under all of the makeup and weaves. And, if you check out Pamela’s Instagram, it looks like she’s working on another project from Connected director Luke Gilford where she’s giving off some film noir leading lady realness.

She?s been dealing with Hepatitis C for the past sixteen years, and finally Pamela Anderson has been given a clean bill of health.
The ?Baywatch? babe took to her Instagram account to share the good news, following the successful trial of a new FDA-approved treatment over the summer.

Pamela Anderson announced on her Instagram on that she’s cured of Hepatitis C. Anderson, 48, told the press in 2002 that she developed the chronic disease after sharing a tattoo needle with her ex-husband, Tommy Lee. Apparently there’s a new antiviral regimen that’s much more effective than previous treatments and can cure about 80 to 95% of cases. Anderson has been on it, and she said back in August that she “could be cured within a month.” It may have taken a little longer than she expected, but she’s cured now and she made the announcement with a strategically covered nude photo and this news. (I’m not posting the picture as that affects our ads. You can see it on People Magazine.)

Damn that’s a lot of hashtags, but I’m happy for her that’s incredible. Anderson also told People this summer that she’s been feeling so much better since she started this treatment.
“I’m very fortunate that I’ve had Hep C for about 16 years,” says Anderson. “Sixteen years ago that was [presented to me] as a death sentence. I think it really worked on my self esteem. Even though I may have looked confident on the outside, I think it really was a dark cloud that lingered over me.”
“I don’t have any liver damage and I don’t have any side effects,” she says. “I’m living my life the way I want to but it could have eventually have caused me some problems and so it was a real blessing that I was able to get the medicine. I’m half way there.”
“I’m really excited,” says the author of the new coffee table book Raw. “I feel good. I feel so blessed.”
“I’ve always been an advocate of trying to remove stigma from hepatitis C from aids,” she says. “I think subconsciously [the disease] just works on you.”
Today, she feels better than ever. “I actually just look in the mirror everyday and I feel like I’m looking younger and younger and I feel like I’m getting those 20 years back.”

I didn’t even know it was possible to cure Hep-C. One of my friend’s moms has Hep-C after contracting it during a blood transfusion in the 1970s. (If I’m interpreting Wikipedia correctly, Hep-C wasn’t officially proven until 1989.) The new treatments are covered by some insurance companies, but not all and it can be insanely expensive to pay out of pocket. The medication can cost over $100,000 for a 12 week course of treatment. My friend’s mom was told to wait to get treatment until she was on Medicare when it would possibly be covered.
This makes me question how Anderson afforded this, because she’s had well publicized money problems. Kaiser reminded me that Sam Simon left her a ring worth $800k when he passed. (Page Six reported this but Anderson denied it.) It’s also possible that Anderson has insurance which covers the treatment. I’ve heard SAG insurance is very good if she has that. Anyway congratulations to Anderson! Hopefully this story will help increase the pressure on American insurance companies to cover this treatment.

Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon?s relationship has always been full of drama. They were married once, years ago, and it ended in disaster. Then they got back together a few years ago and got remarried. Last July, Pam filed for divorce (again). Then they reconciled and Pam got the court to throw out the divorce filing, then they broke up again earlier this year and Pam filed for divorce again. The split seemed ? at long last ? to be the final break. Pam filed for a restraining order against Rick because he was threatening and harassing her online and in real life. Pam also said Rick had abused her (like, he tried to suffocate her during sex).
There were also stories that Pam was trying to get some of Rick?s money ? several months ago, Rick won $40 million in a poker tournament and if Pam and Rick divorced in California, it could be considered community property, I suppose. Rick always maintained that he?s primary residence is in Nevada, which made for a sticky tax AND divorce situation. Basically, everything was a huge mess. But Pam and Rick worked it out ? financially.
Pam Anderson is a million dollars richer today, and Rick Salomon is a lot happier … because we’ve learned they got divorced. Pam and Rick were in a nuclear battle — he filed for an annulment, and she filed for divorce. TMZ broke the story, Pam allegedly held Rick’s dog Bumblebee hostage for a week, and then launched into a tirade that he was bad at sex … which didn’t jive with various text messages she sent him.
But now we’ve learned Rick paid Pam just north of $1 million in return for the divorce. But Rick got something as well. Pam was challenging his Nevada residency, claiming he was a California resident who was trying to dodge taxes on a $40 million poker win. Nevada doesn’t have state taxes. Now that they’re divorced, Pam isn’t contesting Rick’s residency, so she’s off his back. And Bumblebee is back with him, so happy endings.

I find it odd (?) that an animal-rights advocate like Pam would take her ex-husband?s dog hostage for a week as part of financial negotiation. I?m not saying she mistreated Bumblebee, but taking the dog does seem like a really harsh move for Pam in particular. As for the $1 million payday? she probably could have gotten more if she held out for longer (or if she had kept Bumblebee hostage for more time?) but I think Pam?s financial situation is pretty bad these days, and she probably didn?t want to drag it out for months or years. A bird in the hand, etc.

As we discussed yesterday, Pamela Anderson is pretty much at war with her lunatic estranged husband, Rick Salomon. Rick has been harassing her, sending her crazy and accusatory messages, calling her a ?serial baby killer? and more. Pam also claimed Rick tried to smother her during sex one time. She successfully got a restraining order taken out against him, and now it seems like Pam is going after his money.
Pam Anderson says Rick Salomon may not be screwing her anymore, but he’s definitely screwing the tax man … because he’s dodging a tax bill on $40 million in poker winnings in 2014 alone. TMZ broke the story … Rick has filed for an annulment from Pam in Nevada. She wants a California divorce, not an annulment, because it could entitle her to half his poker earnings.
Pam claims in new legal docs — obtained by TMZ — Rick won $40 MIL from ONE GUY — Andy Beal, a billionaire real estate mogul who plays high stakes poker. In one weekend, Beal gambled at the Bellagio in Vegas and was up $13 mil at one point and down more than $16 mil later. Pam says in the docs, Rick is lying in his annulment papers by saying he’s a resident of Nevada, where there is no state income tax. Pam says they have lived in Malibu, California, where the state tax rate is a whopping 13%.
Pam says Rick actually used some of his earnings last year to buy a $4 million Nevada pad by paying cash, and then had his assistant use Rick’s credit card in Nevada to make small purchases, making it look like Rick was living there. Rick’s people say Pam is on a mission to ruin Rick because she’s not happy about the proposed divorce settlement.

I don?t really feel like taking a side here, mostly because it sounds like both of them are focused on the money and it feels like the financial aspect of this divorce is what we?ve been building up to. Do I think that Pam ?deserves? half of Rick?s assets just because they were married to each other for a few months? Nope. But I do think that ? legally ? Rick is likely a resident of California, and this ?I live in Nevada, dude? excuse won?t really hold up.
Meanwhile, it?s pretty well known (if you read the tabloids) that Pam isn?t in the best financial situation. Her Malibu property was a money pit and she spent millions trying (unsuccessfully) to renovate it. A few years ago, she was hit with a massive tax lien too. Plus, I doubt she has that much money coming in. So is it any surprise that one of her friends ?gifted? her with an $800,000 ring?
Pam Anderson deserves the $800,000 ring ?The Simpsons? co-creator Sam Simon gave her before he died of cancer, friends of the ?Baywatch? star say. The buxom blonde was in the front row at Simon?s funeral in Los Angeles on Saturday and gave a eulogy before such mourners as Drew Carey, Conan O?Brien and Bob Barker.
?She called Sam the only real gentleman in her life,? PETA president Ingrid Newkirk told me. Both Simon and Anderson were honorary directors of the organization.
?They bonded over their concern about animal abuse,? Newkirk said of the platonic friendship. ?She cheered him up, arranged a personal trainer to help him be less dependent on his cane, and he supported her as she struggled with divorce. They were solid pals, and Sam was a generous man who knew his own mind right up to the end.?
Simon?s girlfriend Kate Porter also denied a TMZ story that Simon?s family was upset that Anderson had taken advantage of a dying man.
?It?s not a true story,? Porter tweeted. ?Whoever did this should be ashamed of themselves. Very upsetting to all of us!?

Pamela Anderson remarried her ex-husband, Rick Salomon, in either late 2013 or January 2014. Then in July 2014, Pam filed for divorce. Again. Then she asked a judge to dismiss the divorce filing (around the same time that she wrote a poem about all of the freaky crap Rick was into), then she refiled again this year. Their first marriage only lasted a few months, and the brief amount of time allowed Rick to get it successfully annulled. But the second time around has gotten really messy. Actually, ?messy? is probably an understatement. Pam has gotten a restraining order against Rick, claiming that there is a ?pattern of abuse? and that Rick might truly hurt her. In fact, while they were married, he apparently tried to smother her while they were having sex. Good God.
Not long after filing for divorce from poker player Rick Salomon, Pamela Anderson has been granted a restraining order against her ex. The temporary order, filed Friday, will hold until the court hearing scheduled for April 3, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE. In the docs, Anderson, 47, alleges that Salomon’s pattern of abuse had become so severe that she was “scared of what he is capable of doing to me.”
Since Anderson filed for divorce from Salomon in February, she alleges in the documents that his behavior “has become erratic, out of control and has caused me to fear for my safety.”
Anderson recounted an occasion in late January when he allegedly put a pillow over her face while they were having sex in an attempt to smother her. The documents also claim that when Salomon is “upset,” he calls her “cruel names” such as “slut,” “ugly old b??” and “crack whore.”
In the weeks leading up to their divorce, Anderson received a number of harassing e-mails and text messages from her soon-to-be-ex and her associates, she claims. In one email send on March 3, Salomon allegedly called Anderson a “cutter” and called her a “serial baby killer with her husbands.” He also claimed that she had begged him to get her pregnant while they were married. In another email that Anderson filed with the docs, Salomon accuses Anderson of “fraud” for eating fish. “I hate the smell of fish,” he says. “It makes me want to vomit.”
Salomon would also allegedly send Anderson photos of his then-wife that he had taken of her nude and without her consent, “demonstrating that he has the power to send it to anyone if I did not do what he wants,” she claims.
Salomon’s lawyer tells PEOPLE that “Rick is not going to comment,” adding that they haven’t been served with the application for the protection order. “Therefor, we’re not in a position to comment on it,” he says.

It sounds like Salomon is an unhinged lunatic. It sounds like he could do real harm to Pam and/or himself. It sounds like Pam was in another abusive situation and she?s trying very hard to extricate herself. I hope? ugh. I hope Rick stays away from her. I hope the divorce is granted and the restraining order is continued indefinitely. I?m not victim-blaming at all, but my God, Pam has terrible taste in men. I?ve said it before, but she?s like a dirtbag-magnet. She always ends up with the biggest losers.

Pamela Anderson filed for divorce from Rick Salomon earlier this week. They were married for the second time January and split less than six months later. Anderson and Salomon’s first marriage in 2007 lasted just two months so this is progress. (Anderson was also married to Tommy Lee from ’95-’98 and to Kid Rock for less than a month in 2006.)
Up to now we haven’t known why idea why Anderson and Salomon split, but it’s not like anyone expected them to last. Anderson may want to explain things. She has posted a very long, wordy poem to her Facebook page in which she heavily implies that her breakup happened after she found out that Salomon was up to some kinky sh*t online. I’m going to rely on E!’s bulleted highlights here, because the original is difficult to decipher. It’s some kind of treatise on her identity as a sex symbol preventing her from having a genuine relationship. At least that’s what I got out of it, there’s a lot to read into:

I can’t tell whether she’s saying that she checked Salomon’s web history and found that he was into bizarre sex stuff online, or whether he was ordering prostitutes or both. Not that it matters, I just wonder about it.
There’s more in the poem that hints at serious problems in her relationship and how she’s suffering. She writes: “It doesn’t feel good to be used, neglected, ignored—
controlled….
I’m not doing this—
It’s humiliating – I have to turn this around–
Settling is powerless- desperate–
an illusion–

Anderson also references drug or alcohol abuse. “feeling empty, sad– withdrawn- Left to Isolate– Medicate.”
I really, really hope she’s ok. She sounds very vulnerable and upset and I hope she has friends around her. About two months ago, Anderson revealed that she was sexually abused as a child. (Some of you mentioned that she opened up about this in the past.) It sounds like she’s really struggling with her relationship and her sense of well being. I’m worried about her.
