She?s always had a keen eye for style, and Lily Allen had a blast at the private viewing of ?The Glamour of Italian Fashion: 1945 to 2014? in London last night (April 2).
Escorted by designer Henry Holland, the ?Hard Out Here? singer dressed in black and made funny faces for the cameras outside The Victoria and Albert Museum.
Lily has been promoting her forthcoming album Sheezus, slated to hit stores May 6th, and she hopes Yeezus rapper Kanye West receives the imitation as flattery.
She told Z100, ''I'm totally for Kanye, he's a G, he's cool, he's Yeezus, I'd like to be anything like him? I thought he'd think it was a diss, but it's totally not a diss, I love Kanye I think he's brilliant. He speaks his mind, whether what he's saying is ridiculous or not, he honestly does believe it and I think there's a lot to be said for that in this day and age.''

Here is Lily Allen showings her nips and heels outside Mercer Hotel, New York.
Remember when people used to laugh at the leather jogger? No man. Don?t laugh. Not until you?ve tried it. An elastic waistband? Nothing stretching at your thighs? No worries when your calves expand at the end of the day? And the versality! Works with kicks and pumps, as seen here on Lily Allen. GET A PAIR.

Getting the word out about her forthcoming Sheezus album, Lily Allen dropped by 4 Music in London for an interview this week.
The ?Hard Out Here? singer fielded fashion questions from her fans, and one follower asked her ?What?s the most expensive item in your wardrobe.?
Allen replied, ?Oh you do not want to know! There?s two bits to this answer. One, it?s not in my wardrobe- it?s missing. And two, it?s my Chanel Couture wedding dress that?s worth about [$330,000]. I don?t know where it is.?
However, after the interview Lily took to her Twitter account to share some good news- "OK, EVERYONE RELAX, I FOUND IT !!!!!!!!! A couple of weeks ago now."

Lily Allen is everywhere these days, promoting her new album and her questionable music video. Every red carpet, every opening of an envelope in the UK has involved Lily Allen trying to be the center of attention. Every UK magazine has run interviews with her, often cover stories. My take? Although I have sympathy for her reproductive issues, I think Lily is still the same trashy mess she?s always been. When she first came on the scene, she was a drunk drama queen always looking to start a fight. She?s mellowed a bit since then, but she still talks trash about everyone and everything. She has a new Shortlist interview and surprisingly, it?s not a litany of all of her famous friends and feuds. But she still manages to offend feminists, men, tomboys and on and on. You can read the full piece here, and here are some highlights:
She?s not a girly-girl, obviously: ?I?m not an archetypal woman. All my best friends are boys.?
Gender relations: ?It?s much the same. But I don?t think men are the enemy, I think women are the enemy. I know that when I?m sitting in a restaurant and a really beautiful woman walks in, who?s skinny, I instinctively think, ?Oh she?s really skinny and beautiful and I?m really fat and ugly.? Every man I speak to always says they find that kind of woman gross, and they prefer a bit more meat on their ladies. So it?s more of a competitive thing. It?s weird. It?s just really unhealthy and we?re our own worst enemy. We should stop being so horrible to each other.?
The song ?Sheezus? name-checks Katy Perry & Rita Ora: ?It just dribbled out! It?s not supposed to be provocative and it?s not attacking anyone, although it does namecheck a few people. It?s about how girls are pitted against each other, unlike men. I know you had it in the Nineties with Blur versus Oasis, but it?s not the same thing. It?s like ?Who looks the best??, ?You?re getting too old to do this, you shouldn?t be doing that?. There seems to be a moral undertone when women are concerned that doesn?t happen with men, and that?s what that song is about. Stop this now [laughs]. Feminism. I hate that word because it shouldn?t even be a thing any more. We?re all equal, everyone is equal so why is there even a conversation about feminism? What?s the man version of feminism? There isn?t even a word for it. There?s no reason for it. Menanism. Male-ism. It doesn?t exist? Fast-forward 100 years: ?Yes, I do believe men should be treated equally.??
Social media: ?It?s a burden in the sense that there are people that take what I?ve brought as a marketing tool for them. And I don?t think you should use Twitter to sell records. MySpace was great because it had a music player on it, and I was able to change things around the whole time and show people how the album developed. Twitter is saved on my phone ? along with Instagram ? under ?waste of time?. I only use it if I?m sat in the car for half an hour just to nose around. But it?s kind of stupid, isn?t it? And fun at the same time. Like crack.?
[From Shortlist]
Her views on feminism and gender relations are a g?damn mess. I?m trying to interpret the whirlwind of contradictory messages. So, there?s no need for feminism anymore because we?ll all equal and she doesn?t know the word ?patriarchy? I guess, and since she doesn?t know that word, we don?t have to think about it anymore. Oh, and women are the enemy especially if they?re prettier than her but it?s okay because all of the dudes tell Lily that they would prefer to be around someone like her, so she wins. And everyone is equal. WTF?

| Lily Allen in vintage Norrell & a neon weave at the BRIT Awards: tacky or hot? | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

The BRIT Awards were held last night, and the photo situation is not that great. The biggest name (in my opinion) in attendance was Beyonce, and she didn?t walk the red carpet, because why would she? So I?m including some fashion photos at the end of the post, but I?m not going to bust my butt about it because I know everyone will just yell ?WHO?? You can see the full list of BRIT Award winners here ? Lorde picked up an award, as did David Bowie, Ellie Goulding, Arctic Monkeys and Bastille (I really like Bastille, their lead singer has a great voice). David Bowie didn?t show up to collect his award, but he still made news ? in his acceptance speech (given by Kate Moss), he said ?And Scotland stay with us.? As in, Bowie does not want Scotland to be independent. Huh.
Our lead lady is Lily Allen, who is back on the red carpet stroll in a big way these days. She shows up to the opening of an envelope, doesn?t she? Well, she wore a vintage Norrell dress from 1965, and she paired it with a Chanel clutch that matched her neon weave. The bangs trauma from the ELLE Style Awards have been replaced with newer, longer clip-in bangs.
And here?s Beyonce?s performance of ?XO?. This is what everyone was talking about from the show, but I kind of think it?s a mediocre performance of what is one of her best songs in years. She would have benefited from having a live band, I think.

I?m including photos below of One Direction, Kylie and Danni Minogue (in William Wilde and J?Aton Couture), Daisy Lowe (in Sister by Sibling, attempting The Jolie Leg), Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (she looks amazing in that Saint Laurent), Iggy Azalea (in Elie Saab, looking almost sophisticated), Jessie J (in Julien Macdonald, oh, honey, NO), Rita Ora and her boyfriend Calvin Harris (they both look surprisingly good, she?s in Prada), Pharrell Williams (just say NO to high-waters), Ellie Goulding (in Vivienne Westwood, disaster), and Tom Daley.

| Lily Allen in acid-trip Vivienne Westwood at the BAFTAs: try-hard or amazing? | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

The two people in this post are actually my picks for best and worst dressed of the evening. Surprising how that turns out. To be fair to Lily Allen, her Vivienne Westwood dress wasn?t even ?bad?. It was enchanting, gorgeously structured and very much acid-trip couture. The problem is that it was worn by Lily, who had zero reasons for showing up to the BAFTAs in this ?LOOK AT ME? ensemble. Technically, she was there to ?support? her mom, who was nominated for Best British Film. So Lily wanted to support her mom? by making sure all of the cameras were on her Vivienne Westwood dress. And yes, the hair feathers need to go. Ugh. You know what struck me? This whole look would have been perfect if she was trying to be the biggest LOOK AT ME of the Met Gala. At the BAFTAs? Not so much.
And here?s my favorite look of the night, Naomi Harris in Gucci. I love the color. I love the design. I love the fit. I love the styling. I love how it?s conservative enough for the occasion (the sleeves) and how it has enough sexiness (the deep V, the side-slit) for such a young, beautiful actress. This is the perfect dress for the BAFTAs on someone who deserved to be there.

| Lily Allen: 'Women are still expected' to sit there & look pretty. And not talk' | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Wow, someone at Elle UK kind of hates Lily Allen, right? This cover shot makes her look like a sleepy zombie. There?s something to be said for doing major fashion magazine covers with minimal makeup, but it literally looks like Lily just rolled out of bed and someone tossed a MiuMiu dress at her. Incidentally, we?ve already seen this MiuMiu on Lupita Nyong?o: who wore it better? You might also notice that Elle features a Tom Hiddleston coverline ? that?s the interview that Elle UK promoted two weeks ago and everyone thought that Tommy was announcing an engagement and a baby.
Anyway, back to Lily. Elle hasn?t released much of their cover story, only to say that she talks a lot about ?feminism, motherhood, Beyonc, and the pressure on women to conform.? Considering the reaction to Lily?s grand feminist opus ?Hard Out Here? was ?wow, that?s kind of racist,? I am interested in seeing what she has to say about Beyonce in particular. Will it be flattering or will it be shade? Stay tuned. Here?s one passage that Elle released:
?Of course I?d rather look like Kate Moss than look like myself,’ she admits. ‘I wish I didn?t feel like that, and I think the reason we feel like that is because of the imagery we?re fed all the time. Women are still expected, in some weird way, to kind of? Sit there and look pretty. And not talk.?
[From Elle UK]
She?s not wrong about that. Many people expect women to just sit there and look pretty, especially in the entertainment industry. But is Lily the best person to take on this fight? Personally, I don?t think so, but a lot of you like her so I?ll bite my tongue.
Other Lily stories ? her vintage shop, Lucy In Disguise, is closing down. Sort of. They?re going to do an online store I guess, but they?re also moving to a smaller shop. You can read more about it here. And the UK tabloids claim Lily is working out a lot to get in shape for her new tour.

Making the most of the local shopping opportunities, Lily Allen hit up the Chanel boutique in Paris, France on Thursday (January 16).
The ?Smile? singer donned a dark tweed jacket with a black t-shirt, grey leggings, and black heels as she carried her new goodies in a branded shopping bag back to Le Meurice Palace Hotel.
Later in the evening, Lily attended the Louis Vuitton menswear runway show, paying homage to the late Dazed & Confused menswear editor Bryan McMahon.
Ms. Allen re-tweeted Love magazine?s message, ?The @LouisVuitton men's show is dedicated to the very special Bryan McMahon who passed away on New Year's Eve. We will miss him.?

| Lily Allen on her contemporaries: 'sterile botoxed idiots that stank of desperation' | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
I?m kind of glad that Lily Allen has rejoined the music industry and is back to doing press, because it gives me a chance to judge her as a celebrity. And let?s face it, as a celebrity, Lily Allen has been an a?hole for a really long time. I lifted my harsh view of Lily for several years, while she was going through a really bad time in her personal life, when she had ?retired? from the industry and she seemed to actively not want any attention. But that?s over. Now she?s back with new music (and racist music videos), and she?s back to trash-talking other artists (which is what she used to do before she ?retired?), being a hypocrite (which is what she used to do before she ?retired?) and being so smug and full of herself and her version of ?keeping it real? (which? you get it).
I have the kind of fly-trap memory for celebrity shenanigans where I remember clearly what a drugged-out, liquor-soaked, trash-talking mess Lily used to be. And guess what? Lily covers the new issue of Esquire UK and she?s trash-talking and painting her drunk, drugged-out mess years as some kind of ?authenticity? that today?s pop stars are sorely lacking. Some highlights from the Esquire interview:
Things were more ?authentic? in the 1990s: ?I feel like when I was growing up and dreaming of being a pop star, it was the days of Britpop when things felt authentic and anarchic, and people were taking drugs and having a lot of fun and having sex with each other and it wasn?t fake, it was real. So excuse me if I found it a bit disappointing when I arrived and it was a bunch of sterile f**king botoxed idiots that stank of desperation.?
Her re-entry into music: ?I feel very lucky. I couldn?t ask for much more really. And actually I?m not really asking for much more. I?m not trying to take over the world here. I don?t want to be Rihanna. I want to sell some records, sell some tickets to my shows and live my life.?
Why she retired: ?I was at the end of my tether. I?d had enough of people constantly hacking at me. And I think once you?re exhausted physically and mentally, it does get you down.?
She felt ?persecuted? by her celebrity friends: ?I thought the people in that showbiz circle were my friends. But almost the second I got pregnant and I wasn?t able to go out and party, they were suddenly quite nasty. There?s a way that those people survive, and it?s not by being nice. The way they make themselves feel powerful is to ostracize other people. I feel blessed to be able to recognise that but at the same time it can still feel pretty s**t what you walk into a room full of people and you can feel the eyes looking at you and people laughing. It?s hard for me because I will eternally feel like that little bullied girl at school, because that?s what I was.?
[From The Daily Mail and Esquire]
LOL, I?m sorry, but this is one of the funniest and least self-aware interviews I?ve ever read? Lily Allen is the same fool who, coked out of her mind and drunk as hell, heckled Elton John at an awards show. This is the same person complaining about how SHE was mistreated. She?s the same fool who gave Miley-esque interviews about how cocaine is super-amazing and how cokeheads are just fine and now Lily is complaining about being ?bullied? by all of her celebrity friends because she didn?t want to do drugs with them when she was pregnant. SERIOUSLY? They ?bullied? you and you didn?t take that as a sign that you just hung out with drugged-out losers and enablers? And that?s why you quit the music business?! Hahahaha. But of course, when she was drugged out and banging every dude she could get her hands on, that was ?authentic? and ?real?. Not like the young pop stars who are drugged out and having lots of sex these days.
