Looking to step away from her good-girl image, Whitney Port recently announced that she will be posing for the popular mens' magazine, Maxim.
"I've always been classified as the cutesy girl-next-door type, so doing this shoot will give me the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and show people an entirely different side of me," Port wrote on her blog.
"I'm definitely nervous, but I know that this will be an incredibly empowering and liberating experience.?
She added, ?Those thousands of push-ups and sit-ups better pay off!?

Trading in her East Coast surroundings for some SoCal fun, Whitney Port was spotted out in West Hollywood last night (August 17).
The ?City? chick looked to be enjoying some time with her boyfriend Ben Nemtin as they attended an event at Kitson before grabbing dinner with friends.
And though her MTV reality gig is still in question, Whitney is already packing her schedule with a new venture.
According to a report, Ms. Port will be working with a new show called ?Hollywood is Like High School With Money,? and she?ll appear in at least one episode. Port?s Whitney Eve fashion line will also be featured in the show.

Spending time back home on the west coast, Whitney Port was looking in fine form while out in Beverly Hills, California on Tuesday (July 27).
Busily chatting with her companions, the MTV reality star popped into a local nail salon to polish up with a midday mani/pedi session.
Currently on hiatus following the recent conclusion of season 2 of "The City," Whitney took time during her leisurely day to tweet birthday love to her little sis.
She wrote, "happy happy birthday paigey! i hope you had the best day! sweet dreams my loves! xoxo"
Also tweeting her hopes for some much needed rest, Miss Port finished up the day by saying, "i hope the construction workers start later tomorrow so i can sleep until at least 8:30!!!!! pretttyyy pleaseee!!!"

She?s always up for a good time and this past Saturday (July 24) Whitney Port was spotted hanging out in Sin City.
The ?City? chick looked lovely as she hammed it up at the Sugar Factory at the Miracle Mile Shops in Las Vegas? Planet Hollywood Resort Casino.
While at the Sugar Factory, Whitney satisfied her sweet tooth by trying their signature Couture Pops, sugar free gummy bears, and chocolate covered gummy worms.
Miss Port was in town to celebrate a gal pal?s birthday. She tweeted, ?thank you @vanitylv and @hardrockhotellv for such a fun weekend!! paige had the best birthday! Xo?

Bouncing from one hot spot to another, Whitney Port was spotted on a beach in Hawaii on Tuesday (July 6).
The MTV reality TV star hit up a yoga class on a beautiful beach over looking the blue Hawaiian waters and looked super cute in casual workout wear.
Over the weekend, Ms Port had a fun-filled Fourth of July as she spent it with boyfriend Ben Nemtin and her family while keeping her loyal followers updated via Twitter every so often.

Heading back home to the west coast for the holidays, Whitney Port was spotted spending time with a gal pal in Los Angeles over the weekend.
The "City" star looked casual cute in a longsleeve grey top with flared jeans as she chatted with her friend in between lunch and shopping.
Celebrating with a cooking and fireworks extravaganza on Sunday (July 4), Whit tweeted, Happy 4th of July!! I hope everyone likes the dessert I am making for the Port Potluck today!"
A while later, she continued to tell, "Soaking in the sun. Poolside with the fam and benj! Happy 4th!"
Closing out the evening at a local fireworks display, Miss Port excitedly tweeted, "Scored a blanket seat front row. Let's get these fireworks started!! Happy birthday america! Wooooo"

Hard at work on their MTV series, Whitney Port and Roxy Olin were busy filming "The City" in New York City on Friday afternoon (June 25).
The two ladies looked lovely, with Roxy daringly going sans bra as she laughed with Whitney while partaking in the week-ending shoot - during which a few non-cast members brazenly interrupted a scene to chat with Miss Port and Miss Olin.

Strutting her stuff on the red carpet, Whitney Port joined in on the fun being had at the MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto, Canada on Sunday (June 20).
Held at MuchMusic World Headquarters, the MTV reality star was all smiles as she greeted fans and posed for pictures at the annual event.
As for the show, the MMVAs are being co-hosted by Miley Cyrus and the MuchMusic VJs while performers include Katy Perry, Adam Lambert, Ke$ha and Justin Bieber.
Meanwhile, Drake leads the pack with seven nominations while Hedley placed second with six nods.
