Taking her punk-infused rock across the pond, Taylor Momsen and her band the Pretty Reckless rocked out in London, England last night (May 12).
The ?Gossip Girl? gal showed off her sexy form in a skimpy black ensemble as she sang through her angst-driven set list at the Notting Hill Arts Club.
In a recent interview, Taylor revealed that she enjoys playing with knives and even carries one in her purse at all times.
?I have a knife collection. My favorite?s my switchblade. I flew from New York to Los Angeles and still had a couple of knives in my purse. I thought I took them all out but they got tucked up in the folds. I went through security, took them on the plane, opened my bag to get my wallet in LA and they fell out. I was like: ?Holy s***!??

16-year old “Gossip Girl” star Taylor Momsen performed her first-ever live gig with her band “The Pretty Reckless” in London last night dressed like a crack whore with rickets and scurvy. Allow me reiterate here — she’s sixteen years old. Sixteen. That would be the same age as Justin Bieber. Miley Cyrus is older than she is. She must sleep in an oak barrel surrounded by the stuff they use to age soft cheeses.

Taylor Momsen has taken London by storm. Sort of. The 16-year-old and her band of middle-aged dudes (?The Pretty Reckless?) performed in London last night, and these are the wholly inappropriate photos of that event. Pacific Coast News described the event:
Wednesday May 12, 2010. “Gossip Girl” star Taylor Momsen, 16, performs her first live gig in the UK with her band “The Pretty Reckless” at London’s Notting Hill Arts Club. Momsen left little to the imagination, wearing a very short and busty dress with ripped stockings. As the night went on, Taylor also started to look a little worn out and did not stop to sign for fans even though during her show she allegedly mentioned how awesome they were! Momsen, who plays aspiring fashion designer Jenny Humphrey in the CW show “Gossip Girl” has fronted The Pretty Reckless since 2009. The band’s debut single “Make Me Wanna Die”, featured on the soundtrack to action movie “Kick-Ass”, will be released in the UK on May 17. An album is due later this year.

Fashion.ie was less impressed with Momsen?s first London gig, writing ?The raccoon eyes, the stringy hair, scrawny legs barely covered up by ripped thigh-highs and ultra-min dress. Meanwhile, Taylor is still giving interviews, but she learned her lesson about being so f-cking hardcore on morning television. Now she drops ?sh-t? bombs on teen shows. Eh. In an interview with an ITV2 teen show, Taylor started talking about her knife collection. How? Angelina Jolie circa 2001.
GOSSIP Girl’s Taylor Momsen has caused more controversy - by admitting she carries knives in her purse. The 16-year-old , best known for her role as Jenny Humphrey on the ITV2 teen show, sparked outrage by saying she found playing with her switchblade knife “relaxing”.
She told a newspaper: “I have a knife collection. My favourite’s my switchblade. I flew from New York to Los Angeles and still had a couple of knives in my purse. I thought I took them all out but they got tucked up in the folds.?

Taylor Momsen has taken her pantless brat act to London, where she seems to be pulling dual-promotional duties for Gossip Girl and her band, The Pretty Reckless. Once again, I?m just going to say it: this girl is 16 years old. Look at her skinny little legs in those trashy thigh-highs! Look how short that shirt/dress is. And it?s fair to say that those sunglasses are hiding yet another day spent in raccoon makeup.
Yesterday, Taylor appeared on Britian?s This Morning and she talked about whether she would come back next season on Gossip Girl (she wouldn?t confirm). She was also asked about criticism about her online and if that bothered her, to which Taylor replied - on live television - ?There is if you care but if you do what I do, you just don’t give a sh-t… Can I not say that?” She was told ?not really? and she replied cheerfully ?Sorry!? Doing some overseas promotion, Taylor Momsen was spotted at BBC Radio One studios in London, England today (May 11).
The ?Gossip Girl? hottie was afraid to show a little skin in a black leather jacket, white slip dress, black knee-high stockings and black boots.
As for the recent comparisons to Courtney Love, Taylor says she?d much rather aspire to be Love?s late husband Kurt Cobain.
"I don't wanna be Courtney Love - I wanna be Kurt Cobain. He's brilliant and his songs are genius. The Hole records are great. Everyone always compares me to Courtney Love because they think we like dress the same and we both have blond hair, wear lipstick and dresses. But I'm sorry, don't a lot of girls dress like that? I look at Nirvana. I don't look at Hole."

For example: this new Entertainment Weekly interview with Taylor. I think she?s trying to promote her band, The Pretty Reckless, but the EW guy gets her to talk about some funny sh-t. Like how she?s ?compared to Courtney Love? - to which Taylor says ?I don?t wanna be Courtney Love?I wanna be Kurt Cobain.? Raccoon, please. Seriously, Taylor wishes she was as cool as Courtney, and Courtney stopped being cool a LONG time ago. I also love when the EW guy asks about her constant pantlessness: ?I don?t really like pants, man. I like tights. I?m not really a pants person. I choose not to wear pants.? Oh, she also thinks it?s ?awesome? that Leighton Meester is putting out a ?pop record?. Meaning: You will never comprehend how cool Raccoon McPantless is compared someone trying to put out a ?pop record?.
Actress Taylor Momsen is best known to audiences as Gossip Girl?s rebellious Jenny Humphrey. But the 16-year-old is hoping that soon people will also see her as a rock star. Momsen and her band, the Pretty Reckless, are set to drop their debut album this summer and have recently released their first single, ?Make Me Wanna Die,? which is on the Kick-Ass soundtrack. EW chatted with Momsen about this new career path.
EW: Your band, the Pretty Reckless, has a song (?Make Me Wanna Die?) on the Kick-Ass soundtrack.
Taylor Momsen: It?s a tragic love song. It?s Romeo and Juliet?can?t live without your lover so you die. It?s the Pretty Reckless? first single. We just shot a video for it, but I don?t wanna say too much. It fits the song. It?s very dark.
EW: How?s the album progressing?
TM: It?s coming out this summer. We wrote it as a record, so every song is part of a bigger thing. I don?t know?I just want people to hear it!
EW: Who would you say is your biggest musical inspiration?
TM: The Beatles did everything first, and they did it the best.
EW: You?re often compared to Courtney Love.
TM: I don?t wanna be Courtney Love?I wanna be Kurt Cobain. He?s brilliant and his songs are genius. The Hole records are great. Everyone always compares me to Courtney Love because they think we like dress the same and we both have blond hair, wear lipstick and dresses. But I?m sorry, don?t a lot of girls dress like that? EW: How do you imagine juggling music and acting?
TM: I?ve been acting since I was 2. I don?t dislike it by any means, but it?s a job to me. It can never be as personal as music, because you?re playing a character and saying someone else?s words. Music is who I am.
EW: Your GG costar Leighton Meester is also trying to launch a music career. Ever talk about it?
TM: No. I?m not really close with my cast. We?re all cordial and nice to each other, but we?re not really friends outside of the set. And we?re doing a different thing: She?s putting out a pop record, which is awesome.
EW: I heard Jenny is going to be MIA for the beginning of next season.
TM: I?m gonna be on tour. But as far as next season goes I don?t really know what?s going on. I don?t wanna talk about that because it?s up in the air. At the end of the season, you?ll see.
EW: I saw you perform in New York City last year, and you seemed to have forgotten to put on pants. What was up with that?
TM: I don?t really like pants, man. I like tights. I?m not really a pants person.
EW: You?re a rocker now?you can choose not to wear pants.
TM: And I do! I choose not to wear pants.

What else is there to say about this girl? She?s just so, you know, like, totally HARDCORE. There has never been a 16 year old who is, like, totally, like, epically tough. You know what I?ve noticed? As long as I?ve been paying attention to who she is (about 4 or 5 months), she?s been ?working on her album?. At some point she?s gonna have to, like, FINISH. And then we can laugh, right?
