As Kaiser mentioned, Sophie Turner is positioning her wedding to Joe Jonas be a proper House of Stark affair. Not only does she dream of winter nuptials, Maisie Williams, who plays Sophie’s sister on Game of Thrones, will be a bridesmaid. Stark standing with Stark, shoulder to shoulder, as she becomes… a Jonas.
Actress Maisie Williams will be a bridesmaid in Sophie Turner’s marriage to Joe Jonas, according to an interview with Radio Times.
During the interview, Williams was asked if she was “bidding for a role as bridesmaid” in her “Game of Thrones” co-star’s big day.
“Oh I’ve already got it!” Williams replied, rolling her eyes at the idea that she wouldn’t be asked. “It’s very, very exciting – but it’s kind of bizarre, though.”
Turner and Jonas announced their engagement in October, but no other details, such as a date, have been announced yet.
Williams added during her interview that Turner will likely wait until after they’re done shooting the upcoming and final season of “Game of Thrones” before she starts making any official wedding plans.
But that doesn’t mean Turner isn’t totally amped about her special day.
“I think she’s already letting her little heart wonder and imagine,” Williams said.

I don’t think Maisie as a bridesmaid surprises anyone who follows the cast outside the show. Maisie and Sophie bonded from the start and have a well documented friendship. They both got a tattoo reading “07.08.09? to commemorate the day they met and they celebrate the anniversary each year. In the early days, they filmed silly Vine videos during their downtime together. Sophie said their friendship had a lot to do with being the same age and having a similar background. The two went through the same experience, as Sophie described, “we’ve had the same struggles in terms of dealing with body image and puberty and growing up in the public eye.” In light of that, It’s kind of wonderful they had their bond to get through such an extraordinary adolescence. Maisie did not give details about Sophie’s wedding but I imagine that’s because Sophie hasn’t done any proper planning. Like Maisie suggested, I think most cast members have put their lives on hold until the series wraps. Which means we get to plan it! I’m insisting on faux-fur capes and a dire-wolf procession as Kaiser suggested. Beyond that, I might suggest ice sculptures of Ramsay and Joffrey’s heads and a red velvet cake of Littlefinger that Maisie could slice, starting with the neck. But I’m flexible.
Speaking of post GoT, Maisie is a little worried about her career. Sadly, she believes she does not fit traditional beauty standards, noting how shallow the industry is. However, she added that “it’s sad that you only get to see one type of beautiful on screen.” I couldn’t agree more and I hope Maisie has a long and fruitful career.

Sometimes I really do feel sorry for the Hollywood girls in their late teens and early 20s. I feel sorry for them because I feel like it?s slim pickings for quality boyfriends, which is why many of these young women cycle through the same dudes. Like, it?s practically a rite of passage for a generation of young starlets and pop stars to date Joe Jonas. It?s almost as if he?s part of the Starter Starlet Package. For the past few months, Joe Jonas has been dating Sansa Stark, real name: Sophie Turner.
Sophie is 20 years old and she has the potential to be a major breakout star once Game of Thrones ends in a few years. Personally, I think she could do better. Like, if she was dating NICK Jonas, I would be into it. But Joe? Not so much. Still, they?re together and they spent New Year?s weekend in Miami and New York together. These are the photos from their stroll around Miami on New Year?s Eve. She went to DNCE?s concert at the Hard Rock Stadium on Friday night (DNCE performed at the Orange Bowl Halftime Show), then Joe and Sophie watched the last half of the Florida State game together. I always feel sorry for British people as they try to feign interest in American football. I?m sure Sophie was like, ?what is this f?king game?!??
After that, Sophie and Joe flew to New York, which is where DNCE performed on New Year?s Rockin? Eve. Sophie was there for Joe?s performance. Let me ask you: do you think this is going to last? Part of the reason why Joe is part of the Starlet Starter Package is because his relationships rarely last very long. I think Joe and Sophie will last through Valentine?s Day but not much longer.

These photos make me feel so old. I remember when Sophie Turner was just a child-actor playing Sansa Stark on the first season of Game of Thrones! And now she?s all grown up (she?s 20 years old) and looking all sophisticated and movie-star glam. It?s a little bit devastating. These are photos of Sophie at the Venice Film Festival over the weekend, where she won the Kineo Prize (it?s like a newcomer award). Sophie went platinum blonde about a month ago and the change is giving me all the feels.
Sophie?s dress on the red carpet was Yanina Couture. It?s not the best dress, and yet she sort of elevates it. There are many advantages to being tall, blonde and slender, and one of those advantages is that you look drop-dead gorgeous in somewhat uneventful couture.
Incidentally, there was a rumor last week that Sophie is dating Ansel Elgort. I really hope it?s not true, and Gossip Cop says it?s bullsh-t. I do think we should set her up with someone interesting though. She?s so pretty and she seems cool. Who should she date? How about ginger-bearded Luke Bracey? He?s only 27.

Sophie Turner is currently promoting X-Men: Apocalypse, where she plays the young Jean Grey. I never really think of Sophie as the kind of actress up for physical roles, and as it turns out, she never thought of herself that way either. But she still got in shape for X-Men, and that?s why she covers the June issue of Self Magazine ? you can see the full interview here. Some highlights:
Getting in shape for X-Men: ?I needed to get in shape?and quick! I never think of my days as long. I?d be in makeup from 5 a.m. until 7 a.m. But it was much crazier for the people who were blue!?
Jean, Sophie & Sansa Stark: ?Both Jean and Sansa are strong characters with such great arcs. Neither starts out strong, but they find that power within them, whether literally or metaphorically. I found a lot of parallels between Jean and myself psychologically. Her journey is trying to figure out who she is, surviving the hormones and the boys, which are loaded on top of the fact that she?s a superpowerful mutant. I haven?t had that last bit to deal with! But I?ve had the challenge of growing up and having horrible skin and all the things that make you feel uncomfortable as a teenager, and knowing that everyone can see it?because 50 percent of them point it out to you.?
Social media criticism: ?Even if you get 100 positive comments and one negative, you focus on the negative, so I try not to read them.?
Her friendship with Maisie Williams: ?Maisie and I would have little hand signals that we?d make at each other like, ?Oop, that?s cheeky.? If we scratched our chins, it meant we were finding something hilarious, but we couldn?t laugh, because we were trying to be grown-up about it. None of our other friends understood what we were going through. It was difficult having everyone treat me like an adult and having my business head on, then going back to school. But Maisie and I had had the exact same journey. So we helped and supported each other.?
How she got in shape: ?That costume is pretty unforgiving. During the shoot I went hard. And that hasn?t stopped? [in the beginning] I was like, ?Guys, Jean is telekinetic. She doesn?t really run around.?? Her 13-hour workdays included up to 60 minutes of exercise six times a week. She and her trainer did full-body workouts for three months. Her varied routine included hill sprints, kettlebells, resistance bands and burpees. ?It was all outside, around London, which was more fun than being cooped up in a gym. I need to do fun stuff that takes my mind off the fact that I?m working out.?
Her diet: Farmer also revamped Turner?s diet, guiding her toward a low-carb, Paleo-style plan. ?When I met Sophie, she didn?t eat breakfast, which is a common mistake,? he says. ?And I didn?t think she was eating enough of the right foods. So I made sure she had a good source of protein and healthy fats with every meal, plus lots of fibrous vegetables like spinach and cauliflower.? Now and then, she?d add a starchy veg such as sweet potatoes. For Turner, the experience was transformative. ?I?ve really embraced healthy eating. It makes you feel a lot better and more energetic. I?m inspired to get up and out. Exercise has made me feel more positive about my body, less self-conscious. I don?t know if I look any different, but I feel stronger, and I can do more, which is such a good feeling. It?s so liberating.?

Any mention of Paleo diets usually makes me sad, but it sounds like this was less about a ?diet? and more about just getting her to change some bad eating habits. I remember when I got to an age where I could no longer get away with not having breakfast too, and even if you?re not particularly hungry or awake, you?ll definitely feel better throughout the day if you take a moment to eat a banana or something wholesome in the morning. But I will kill anyone who tries to make me do a burpee. NEVER!
