I?m really happy to see that no one is buying Joe Jonas? week-long smear campaign against his estranged wife Sophie Turner. Sophie and Joe?s names have been trending on the artist formerly known as Twitter, and it?s just wall-to-wall call-outs for what Team Jonas is trying to do. First, Joe wanted sympathy because the poor dude is looking after his children this summer while Sophie works in England. Then he filed for divorce and leaked to TMZ that Sophie ?likes to party,? GASP. Even if it was true (there?s no evidence that it is), liking to go out to a nightclub with friends isn?t a divorceable offense. Still, Team Jonas isn?t giving up their quest to turn Sophie into The Unfit Mother Who Likes To Party. Apparently, Joe was monitoring his wife on a ring camera and he saw her do or say something that he didn?t like. My dude, why are you monitoring your wife again? CREEP.
Joe Jonas saw/heard something with Sophie Turner that was the last straw in his decision to file for divorce, and it involves a ring camera.
Multiple sources who have direct contact with Joe tell TMZ Joe had access to a ring cam that he said captured Sophie saying and/or doing something that made him realize the marriage was over.
TMZ broke the story Joe and Sophies marriage had been on the rocks for at least 6 months, and it was all over a significant difference in lifestyles. As one source put it, She likes to party, he likes to stay at home. They have very different lifestyles.
As we reported, over the last 3 months, Joe has had the kids almost all the time. Sophie has been in London, but Joe and his bros were touring the U.S. and he had his 2 small kids in tow.
We know Joe had been in touch with at least 2 divorce lawyers last week. Interestingly, both lawyers are in L.A., yet he decided to file divorce docs Tuesday in Florida.

My question is about logistics Sophie has been working in England for months, presumably staying at a hotel or some kind of rental home/apartment. When and where did this ring-cam incident take place? Did Sophie know she was on camera? Did she know Joe was monitoring her every fking move? And was this just something he watched randomly, or was he poring over all of their ring-cam footage obsessively? I?ve seen a lot of people theorize that Sophie was probably just talking to a friend and bitching about her marriage or complaining about Joe. Anyway, this story makes Joe come across as such a creep.

I think we?ve pretty much established that Joe Jonas is divorcing Sophie Turner because she won?t be a tradwife and give up her acting career to raise their kids. Instead of just saying that, Team Jonas has been leaking all of this bullsh-t about how Sophie has been ?partying? and Joe has been raising the kids. Part of me honestly believes that Joe is not only trying to paint Sophie as an unfit mother because she works, but he?s also trying to stop her from moving back to the UK permanently. For days now, Sophie and her team have been silent as Joe ran the table in the American media. Well, Joe and Sophie issued a joint statement, published on their respective Instagram pages.
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have broken their silence on their divorce. On Wednesday, Jonas, 34, and Turner, 27, each posted a joint statement to their social-media accounts regarding the end of their four-year marriage.
?Statement from the two of us: After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage, ? they both shared on Instagram.
?There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children, the statement concluded.

My take is still: they welcomed their second baby last year and afterwards, Sophie was eager to get back to work and (it sounds like) socialize a bit after having two babies in quick succession. It really does feel like Joe is throwing a tantrum over Sophie refusing to stay home and raise their daughters full time. But we?ll see. As far as custody goes, this literally all just happened, so theyre figuring it out in real time, the source says. They did have a prenup. As a family, they were based in Florida. It feels like Sophie went back to England to work, she left the kids with Joe for a few months (she?s reportedly flown back to the US several times) while she?s working. Welp, Joe Jonas has officially filed for divorce from Sophie Turner. We got a little preview during the Labor Day weekend, when Joe?s people briefed TMZ and People Magazine with the news that he had met with divorce lawyers and hired one of them. TMZ?s story was dripping with casual misogyny about Sophie not having a lot going on career-wise (she had two babies in three years) and something about Joe looking after their kids while he was on tour. TMZ also broke the ?he filed for divorce? story, and they added some new layers:
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are headed to divorce court, because TMZ has learned Joe has filed legal docs to end his marriage. Joe is asking for joint custody of their 2 daughters, 3-year-old Willa and their 1-year-old.
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ Joe and Sophie have a prenup something Joe also addresses in his divorce docs, obtained by TMZ. Theres more in here as it pertains to their kids including the fact that Joe wants a judge to establish a parenting plan between him and Sophie that allows for frequent and continuing contact with both parties.
Another interesting tidbit in his petition Joe confirms what weve known since this weekend namely, that the two children have been residing with him of late. Here in the docs, though, he makes sure to note where Miami, as well as other locations throughout the United States. In other words, hes been taking them with him on the road as hes toured.
The issue of child support is also addressed in Joes docs he says both parents can pay to support their children and that they should both be required to do so. With that said, JJ wants a Florida court to establish whats fair and to take health insurance for the kids into consideration in determining that.
TMZ broke the story the couple has been having problems for around 6 months. Joe has been shopping for divorce lawyers for at least a week. He filed in Florida. Hes repped by Tom Sasser, who handled Tiger Woods divorce.
As for why Joe filed for divorce a source with direct knowledge tells us this She likes to party, he likes to stay at home. They have very different lifestyles.
As we reported, Joe has been taking care of the children pretty much all of the time over the last 3 months. When it comes time to hash out a custody arrangement, he could ask for significantly more than 50% physical custody, and our sources say thats likely.

As soon as Sophie went back to work, started hanging out with friends and enjoying herself without him, suddenly Joe wanted a divorce. I mean, that?s just my interpretation maybe Sophie has been out partying (there have been zero photos of that) and maybe she?s not a super-engaged mother. But this framing feels so dirty to me and I feel sorry for Sophie, because no matter what, he?s trying to paint her as a bad mother from the very start of this divorce.

This Joe Jonas-Sophie Turner story is so weird. TMZ got the ball rolling during the Labor Day weekend, a time when celebrities would dump their bad news and hope that people aren?t paying attention. But TMZ?s report wasn?t ?Joe and Sophie are definitely over and he?s filed for divorce.? It was more like: Joe has been meeting with divorce lawyers, he?s mad about taking care of his children, Sophie isn?t around?? Like, was this a real split announcement or was this a warning shot from Joe to Sophie? It does feel more like things are unsettled between them but that it?s not completely broken. An underrated indicator that a couple is headed for divorce: when a tall wife stops caring about her shorter husband?s feelings and starts wearing high heels around him. I apologize to all of the short kings out there, but it?s true. In every photo of Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas in the past year, she?s wearing sky-high heels and towering over him in photos. The marriage was doomed! Sophie and Joe have been together since 2016 she was 20 years old at the time and starring in one of the biggest shows in the world. Joe was a 27 year old pop star at the time. I honestly thought Sophie was way too young to jump into a serious relationship/marriage at that point, but they did get married (in 2019) and they had two children in 2020 and 2022. It sounds like the marriage kind of fell apart soon after they welcomed their second kid.

Professionally, Joe and Sophie have been busy mostly JJ, though. Hes gone on tour with his brothers recently and is scheduled to perform through the winter. Sophies done some TV/movie stuff in recent years but isnt nearly as active as she was during her GoT days.

Joe Jonas had a recent profile in WSJ. Magazine. He was promoting a variety of things, but mostly he just seemed chill and chatty. He married Sophie Turner in 2019 and they welcomed daughter Willa Jonas in July 2020. I don?t think we?ve seen Willa at all? No baby photos on either of their Instagrams, although their dogs are absolutely featured heavily on IG. Anyway, Joe chatted to WSJ. Magazine about his morning rituals, style advice and fighting with his wife as they were building Lego structures.
His mornings: He doesn?t have a strict wakeup time. He starts by meditating for at least three to five minutes, usually on the Headspace app, then works on his Italian with the Duolingo app. ?I?m learning Italian very slowly. I want to be able to get lost in the countryside; that?s my goal.? Next up is writing out his gratitude list, which he says can be as simple as, ?I?m grateful for the cup of coffee I?m making.? (Jonas characterizes himself as a coffee snob.) Then he listens to NPR?s daily news podcast Up First and takes a scroll through social media. After that, it?s time for his intensive exercise routine.
The best style advice he?s ever gotten: ?Don?t overthink it. I feel like it?s so easy to double-check, triple-check your outfit. Does it match enough, doesn?t match enough? If it feels good on you, you should just wear it. I accidentally wore a shirt inside-out onstage the other day, I didn?t know, and my friend?s like, ?I like it; it?s cool. It?s inside-out.? I was like, What? All that said, just go with the flow. Find your own identity and your own personal style and stick to that.?
Pandemic memories: ?I got very into Lego building. My wife and I probably built 10 monstrous Legos. It was also quite funny, because I was super focused on helping her but then I was getting easily distracted and playing Fortnite. At first we argued about it and then it was like, she loves her organization and it?s completely different from the way I would build it: ?You do you; I?ll be here for support.? So then I became moral support; I?ll make the cocktails for us. We built the Batmobile; we built Harry Potter [Wizarding] World.?

She was probably so annoyed that he kept wandering off to play Fortnite! I would be. I wonder if she did puzzles too. I bet she did. I love the overall upbeat vibe of both Sophie?s post and the reaction to it. It feels very Sophie. I dig the way she presents herself and her life to the world because it?s always on her terms and she makes it seem effortless. Sophie?s been married to Joe Jonas for two years, they have daughter Willa, who will turn one in July. I remember we were all a little stunned when she and Joe started dating and slowly came around to them being a couple. They really are good together. Someone recently said that it feels like Katy Perry has been pregnant for two years, and I agree, but didn?t it seem like Sophie Turner was only pregnant for a few months? I think the difference is that other than a handful of interviews several months ago (part of a virtual promotional tour), Sophie has largely stayed quiet. She also never really confirmed that she was expecting, and she just let her growing baby bump do all the talking. She and Joe Jonas stayed in lockdown in LA and by all accounts, Sophie was quite comfortable in lockdown, walking their dogs and taking it easy. And now she?s given birth to one chill baby: a little girl named Willa!

I thought Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas only had two dogs, but no, they have three. Sophie and Joe have been in lockdown in LA for more than a month. They too were early quarantiners, although Joe is apparently getting itchy in lockdown while Sophie is very happy to be home and nesting. There haven?t been tons of photos of Sophie and Joe out, walking their dogs, which makes me think they?ve probably been letting their dogs out in the backyard, or maybe Joe has just been walking them solo and the paparazzi haven?t been catching him.
As for the dogs, the Alaskan Klee Kai is Porky Basquiat, and I guess that breed of dog just stays kind of small/medium sized. They?ve had him for years and he still has that small-puppy look, so whatever. They also adopted the golden retriever last year after their puppy Waldo died in an accident. Looks like they?ve also added a corgi to the mix. LOOK AT THAT CORGI. That corgi knows he?s with a famous mom and dad. We don?t know the name of the corgi, so let?s just call him Chonk Butt. And its fine to call him that because Chonk Butt cant read what were saying!
As I?ve been walking every day, I?ve been seeing so many quarantine doggos and I?m really enjoying it. It makes me want a dog and I keep looking at the available animals at the local shelter. I mean? should I? With two cats? The thing is, I?m far more likely to adopt a third cat realistically. And then, I would reason to myself, that the third kitty needs a friend and then? yeah, it?s a slippery slope full of panther kittens and chonks.
