A few months ago, I wrote about how Kristen Stewart had emerged as the frontrunner for the ?Snow White? role in Snow White and the Huntsman. It?s going to be one of those live-action ?reboot/re-telling? deals, where I suppose Hollywood is going to ?reimagine? one of the classic fairy tales. ?Reimagine? is another way of saying ?raping the stories you loved as a child.? Anyway, when I wrote about it before, Kristen was far from confirmed, she was merely one actress out of several who were auditioning. In the past few days, though, things have changed. One of the film?s producers began tweeting about how K-Stew ?officially? had the role, and that they were in ?final negotiations? this week. Deadline hopped on board too:
Deadline was first to tell you in January that despite Universal Pictures’ testing of young actresses, Twilight Saga’s Kristen Stewart had materialized as a likely candidate to play the lead role in the Rupert Sanders-directed Snow White and the Hunstman. Now, Palek Patel, who’s producing with Joe Roth, has tweeted that she’s in final negotiations to star with Charlize Theron and Viggo Mortensen in the rebooted fairy tale that’s going head to head with Relativity Media’s The Brothers Grimm: Snow White, which will star Julia Roberts. Gersh-repped Stewart will complete production on the final Twilight installment at the end of April, and will shoot Snow White in August.

So? Kristen Stewart is officially your new lip-biting, mouth-breathing, bad-postured, eye-rolling, monotone, angsty Snow White. Look, I know Team K-Stew is going to be in here, yelling at me, and that?s fine. Let me say that I don?t really hate the girl. I think she?s really immature and that she should get a major grip and start acting like a professional, but I have no problem with her being considered ?A-List?. For now. Because this too shall pass! Once the Twilight movies are over and this Snow White movie comes out, people will begin to realize that Kristen isn?t all that. Her fanbase will grow out of her, and Hollywood will get tired of her ?Method?: lip-biting, mouth-breathing and eye-rolling, in between dialogue mumbled in a monotone.

Because much like Snow White, Lois Lane is known for being an angsty, lip-biting, eye-rolling, mouth-breathing, bad-postured, monotone bitch? Right? Anyway, the gossip going around Nerd Headquarters (IDLITW via Comic Book Movie) is that Kristen Stewart has read for the part of Lois Lane in Zac Snyder?s Superman reboot (starring British heartthrob Henry Cavill as Superman). Now, people are just claiming that Kristen READ for the part, meaning that she got called in for an audition and met with producers. There?s nothing about an OFFER and no mention of producers wanting her for the role.
Now, I just have a few points and questions. First of all, of course I?ll believe that Kristen came in to read. She?s one of the ?biggest? young actresses out there, despite her bad attitude and unprofessionalism and despite the fact that she?s really not that talented. I would imagine that producers are having lots of younger actresses read for the Lois Lane part - I could even see Blake Lively getting that call (ha!). But I seriously doubt Kristen would end up being offered the part, and even if she was offered it, I can?t see her taking it. As much as it pains me to say this, Kristen is too ?big? to take the Lois Lane part. She?s the lead in one of the most popular and lucrative franchises of all time. She?s not going to take a supporting part in another potential franchise. That?s another reason, by the way: Kristen probably has no interest in doing another franchise. She can barely stand the one she?s in now.
And finally, I think Kristen won?t end up with the role because they?ll want someone slightly older and more mature. Henry Cavill is 27 - they should be aiming for mid-twenties, someone beautiful and smart. My dream casting would be someone like 24-year-old Leighton Meester or 27-year old Mila Kunis. Right?

Agent Bedhead emailed me this morning with the news that our joint lover Michael Fassbender was no longer in discussions to play ?The Huntsman? in the live-action Snow White reboot, Snow White and the Huntsman. Apparently, Fassbender is now in talks to do a Ridley Scott sci-fi? with my girl Noomi Rapace (Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish Millennium Trilogy films). Bedhead was depressed, because it means that we won?t get to see Fassbender wander around in tights. But I?m happy - because Snow White and the Huntsman is starting to sound like a hot mess. Guess who is in talks to play Snow White now? Kristen Stewart!!! Because Snow White was an angsty, lip-biting, eye-rolling, mouth-breathing, bad-postured, monotone little bitch. No wonder Fassbender pulled out, eh?
Is Kristen Stewart the fairest of them all? The Twilight star is on the list for the role of Snow White in Universal?s Snow White and the Huntsman.
The movie, being directed by Rupert Sanders, is in deep casting mode, with Viggo Mortensen entering negotiations to play the Huntsman earlier Wednesday. Charlize Theron is in negotiations to play the evil queen.
Stewart is a name that Universal has kept coming back to since acquiring the project even as it went through a series of screen tests with actresses such as Riley Keough, Felicity Jones and Alicia Vikander. Emily Browning tested this past weekend (Stewart has reached a point in her career where testing isn’t required).
Stewart, arguably one of the biggest stars in the world thanks to the Twilight movies, has focused on indie projects in between the vampire romancers, and this could become her first studio project since becoming a name. It also would put her in the shoes of an iconic character.
The Gersh-repped actress is currently shooting the Breaking Dawn movies, but the Snow White team has been making repeated overtures even as late as last week.

Ugh, Viggo is in talks too? Maybe when Viggo hears about K-Stew, he?ll pull out as well, because Viggo and K-Stew on screen together would be a million kinds of wrong.
I kind of hate that Kristen is one of the go-to young actresses now. I like her a bit more than Blake Lively, but basically Blake and Kristen are the same kind of actress: bad. Like, they have some tricks, but little method.

Last week we had a preview of Kristen Stewart?s Vogue pictorial, as well as some snotty-sounding interview excerpts. Well, Vogue has finally released their full interview (online here), and it?s kind of bad. Like, K-Stew comes across? uh? well, she doesn?t seem quite like the ?snotty little bitch? personae that she often inhabits in interviews. She seems to try to make an effort here, but the problem is? she doesn?t really have that much to say. She bitches a little bit about fame, but she?s learned how to stop complaining about that for the most part (either that, or this is heavily edited).
Now, the whole piece is definitely worth a read, if only for the various descriptions of what she?s like during the interview. Like, ?Stewart, a sylph in tomboyish jeans and a lumberjack shirt, is moving around the kitchen of a friend?s house, cracking her knuckles as she talks. She gets nervous dealing with the media?TV interviews in particular, she says, make her squirm?and she is sometimes accused of being downbeat and defensive in her public appearances, not least because she rarely smiles. She nurses some bad-girl tics, smoking and littering her conversation with expletives, and maintains an insouciance in the face of her big career.? Wow. It?s just the third paragraph and I want to smack her a little bit.
On her career choices: ?I choose things that are so overly ambitious, and if I can?t do stuff like that, I don?t want to be doing this,? she says. Scratch the surface, however, and the attitude seems more about the passion and perfectionism she feels about her work than the opposite. ?A compulsion absolutely fills you,? she says of finding a good part, and admits that she sometimes has difficulty letting go.
On The Road versus Breaking Dawn: Today she is stoked from having just returned from shooting On the Road with Walter Salles, the masterly Brazilian director of The Motorcycle Diaries and Central Station. She plays a character based on Neal Cassady?s first wife, LuAnne Henderson, opposite Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley. It was an intense improvisatory experience that left her ?crying my head off,? she says. ?I didn?t want to leave.? Installing herself in Baton Rouge for the foreseeable future was ?like going back to school. . . . Twilight is a different beast.?
On Bella Swan: ?A character who is embedded in so many people?s psyches at this point. It?s starting to enter my head a lot more than it used to because it?s at the end and it?s come such a long way. I just want the fans of the book to be happy.? She laughs. ?I don?t necessarily care about anyone else.?
She likes Jenny Lewis, the L.A. musician: ?She?s the only person I?ve ever met that I can?t function around.?
Fave movies: Her favorite movies are John Cassavetes? A Woman Under the Influence, starring Gena Rowlands, and La Vie en Rose, with Marion Cotillard. She loves Jane Fonda in Klute.
Hobbies: Her new hobby is cooking, no doubt encouraged by the fact that she lives in a somewhat isolated way: ?You build a perimeter of people that are really important to you.? Friends tease her for watching the Food Network with a stern frown of concentration on her face. ?I?m such a dork.? (The frown pays off. For lunch, she prepares an elaborate, and delicious, Mexican tortilla soup with numerous condiments, along with pulled-pork sandwiches.) She also likes golf, a sport that has the advantage of involving private membership and small numbers of people over large areas.
Not going to the mall: ?There?s no way to eloquently put this,? she says. ?I just can?t go to the mall. It bothers me that I can?t be outside very often. And also to not ever be just ?some girl? again. Just being some chick at some place, that?s gone.?
More on Bella: ?Masses of girls identified with Bella in a really profound way, for want of a better word,? she says. ?The connection that I?ve seen people have . . . I?ve seen it physically. It?s the characters they?re flipping for.?
On money: She also feels the power for good that comes with her influence. ?It?s funny when you are endowed not only with public recognition on a f-cking seriously vast level, but also money,? she says with endearing earnestness. ?Like, funds.? (She was reportedly paid $25 million for the two films of Breaking Dawn, plus a percentage of the gross.) ?Anytime I hear that somebody?s really rich, the first question is ?Do you do anything with it? Or do you, like, chill? You just sit on it??? She is thinking carefully, strategically, about how best to put her own contribution to use, and has a plan?inspired by her researches for the role of a runaway in the sex trade?to set up a network of halfway houses to help those who want to recover and get back on their feet. ?That would be amazing,? she says. ?Right now it?s the thing I feel most connected to.?

My favorite part is where she?s talking about money. I will admit, I would love to talk to Kristen about money. I bet that conversation would be really good. And I think the undertone of the money stuff is Kristen being a smart girl and thinking ?Yeah, this might not last, prepare for the worst and save for a rainy day.? Because there will come a day when Kristen can walk around in a mall, you know? Because all of this Twilight stuff will be over and everyone will have moved on the next thing and we won?t have to read any more twitchy, uncomfortable interviews from Kristen.

If her acting career ever stalls out, Kristen Stewart may have a bright future in the realm of gourmet cooking.
According to her ?On The Road? costar Garrett Hedlund, the ?Twilight? babe is quite the talented chef.
Hedlund recently told press, ?You got to try the tortilla soup! It?s incredible. She?s honed it.? Kristen also declared, "I didn't bake; I cooked a lot, though. I was the only girl on set. I think I can do a really, really good, terrific tortilla soup. That was my 'On the Road' dish."
And at a recent party, Kristen?s creation was a big hit. "I get really embarrassed when people ask me what I cook, for some reason. I shouldn't say that I cook anymore. There was like a big BBQ situation and, like, a bunch of steaks and veggies, and I made chicken piccata. I'm so embarrassed right now. But I made homemade marinara sauce starting at, like, 2 in the afternoon. It wasn't done until 8. It was incredible. The 'Twilight' cast showed up."

She?s no stranger to media attention, and last night (January 5) Kristen Stewart was named Favorite Movie Actress at the 2010 People?s Choice Awards.
The ?Adventureland? hottie garnered the coveted trophy for her work on the third ?Twilight Saga? flick ?Eclipse.?
In addition, Kristen was also awarded the Favorite Onscreen Team honor along with her costars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.
?Eclipse? came out on top of the Favorite Overall Movie and Favorite Drama categories as well.

Turning out for the special occasion, the stars of the ?Twilight Saga? films were in the house for the 2011 People?s Choice Awards tonight (January 5).
Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner all showed up at the Nokia Theatre LA Live to catch all the action.
And of course the guys looked hunky and handsome while Kristen gave the fellas plenty of eye candy before the trio took the stage to accept Favorite Movie honors for "Eclipse".
Meanwhile, Kristen also picked up individual honors as being dubbed as 2011's Favorite Movie Actress.
The 2011 People?s Choice Awards are hosted by Queen Latifah and feature the brightest and best stars in showbiz.

E! News has this barely interesting story about the Breaking Dawn shoot, which as you may know is still in Brazil at this point (we saw photos yesterday). I wouldn?t be writing about it if E! didn?t also include - as a side note - an absolutely hysterical quote from an insider on the production. First, the main story: K-Stew/Bella is going to be naked in the film. Sort of. Sources say that Breaking Dawn?s director, Bill Condon (Nine, Chicago) is very much into shooting the ?honeymoon? scenes realistically, so K-Stew will have to be naked a lot, and then they?ll just cut around the boobs and stuff so that they can get a PG-13 rating, while still keeping it hot. ?Eh? on that story. The really funny part is when they?re discussing the wedding scene, and the state of Bella?s wedding gown:
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have taken their love down south. The on- and offscreen couple are heating up Brazil, shooting Bella and Edward’s honeymoon scenes for Breaking Dawn. So you know what that means right? Robsten are finally doing it! At least, for you to all enjoy on screen.
As we’ve already dished, there is going to be more sex (finally!) in the last Twilight flicks. Even though it will have a PG-13 rating, the studio is leaving a lot up to director Bill Condon to decide how to shoot the racy stuff. But if Bill sticks to the script, we’re told by sources on set that one Twilight star is going to be stripping down…way down.
“The script actually has Kristen practically naked in it, a lot,” ?fesses a source who took a peek (at the script, not K.Stew, sickos).
Obviously you won’t see Stewart’s bod actually end up on the big screen, (remember as our source emphasizes “rating is key”), but Condon is the type of director who likes to keep it real, shoot it real, then edit it in a way that is ber-hot when it hits theaters.
Hey, Kristen has done it for roles before, and we all know she’s super comfortable around Rob. Only complaint? Let’s make it equal and have R.Pattz equally bare. Yeah?
Oh, and some not-so-hot news from down south: Apparently the wedding dress Bella wears isn’t as hot as the sex scenes.
“It’s hideous,” dishes our insider. “And it’s not the designer’s fault. Let’s just say someone who has final say on the matter has decided upon a terribly conservative and ugly gown.”

They?re talking about Stephenie Meyer, correct? She?s a producer now, and she must have pulled rank to ensure that Bella would end up in some cheesy-ass wedding gown monstrosity. Ha!
Regarding the nudity though - yes, it should be equal. If Bella has to vadge it up, Sparkles should have to sparkledong it up. Fair is fair. Since I haven?t read the books, can someone answer me this: does Sparkles have a sparkledong? You know, since his skin sparkles in sunlight, if his dong ever saw sunlight, would it sparkle? This is all I care about at this moment.

Having flown to the overseas locale this past week, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were spotted chilling out on their hotel balcony in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday (November 7).
Looking to be having a marvelous time, the "Twilight" couple wandered out to the posh room's ledge while looking out at a pack of fans and media members on ground level.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Rob and Kristen are in the South American locale to shoot scenes for their upcoming movie "Breaking Dawn".
Over the weekend, "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer has also been seen in the Rio area - as she's in town to oversee the filming of the important movie shoot.

Having acted in multiple movies produced and released after her performance as a runaway turned stripper, Kristen Stewart is in the unique position of watching her early work in "Welcome to the Rileys" released on the big screen this Friday (October 29).
Asked by MTV about her thoughts on her progression as an actress from the movie's 2008 filming to the current time, the humble "Twilight" beauty replied, "I don't know, man. I really don't know."
After further prying, Miss Stewart finally was willing to offer up a few thoughts - telling that she still has her minor issues while also seeing improvement in each and every film.
"I could sit here and bring up little things that I wish I didn't [do], little things that kill me, stuff that maybe other people don't see but stuff that is very apparent to me," she told MTV.
As for the filming of "Welcome to the Rileys," K-Stew said, "It was so everything that it should be. If I did bring my little things to it, we did share a few personality aspects. I think that's maybe why I was hired. It was a stretch, because obviously I live nothing like she lives, but it's always really hard to say why you've progressed as an actor. I feel like I've gotten better with every movie."
