Katy Perry’s awful parents, Mary and Keith Hudson, are at it again. These two coast upon the goodwill generated by their daughter’s pop-star fame to sell their televangelical wares for the highest price. While they don’t mind posing with their daughter on the red carpet so that they can soak up all of the attention that comes with being “Katy Perry’s parents,” they just as often talk trash about her and say things about her being destined to go to hell because of her saucy image and the fake-lesbian song (“I Kissed a Girl”) that started it all. It was only a few weeks ago when Keith doubled down and preached to a congregation about how Katy was “a devil child” that needed healing. Now Katy herself has revealed that her mom thanks God every single day about the disappearance of Russell Brand from Katy’s life. Uh, mom? STFU:

The singer – whose parents Keith and Mary Hudson are strict pastors – said: “I thank God every day for having made us all the same way and I pray for anyone who fights for freedom of speech.
“I’m pro-gay marriage and want equality between genders. My mom thanks God every day for my divorce.”
Katy added: “Growing up, I wasn’t allowed to listen to non-religious music. Madonna, my idol, was considered worse than the devil.”

One has to wonder whether, at this point in her life, Katy merely shrugs her shoulder at her parent’s obvious antics. Is she truly bothered by this nonsense, or is she just like, “Whatever, mom and dad.” She seems like she’s over it, but I still feel bad for her for having to endure such an embarrassment.
Speaking of the devil Russell Brand, here he is departing yoga class on Monday and killing my lady boner with that Miley Cyrus post-pilates bun. Rusty’s even wearing an “Anarchy in the UK” t-shirt just like Miley’s been doing lately. Conspiracy.

Katy Perry’s parents are extremely religious but they seemed okay with Katy’s career. The millions she makes and possibly supports them with could be part of the reason. However, when they’re in the company of their religious friends, they have to keep up appearances. That’s why they went all fire and brimstone on Katy and ask people to pray for her.
The pair, who have made millions off the back of their famous daughter, show a video making Katy out to be a ?devil child? who needs ?healing?.
Speaking in Santa Fe Springs, California, Keith ranted: ?They ask how can I preach if I produce a girl who sang about kissing another girl?
?I was at a concert of Katy?s where there were 20,000. I?m watching this generation and they were going at it. It almost looked like church.
?I stood there and wept and kept on weeping and weeping. They?re loving andworshipingthe wrong thing.?
Katy?s parents ask for donations, saying they need ?not one or two dollars, but 20s? so they can go to Switzerland.
The article seems to leave out a very important detail. Why do they need to go to Switzerland? Maybe they’re going for religious reasons. People don’t know this, but even God needs a Swiss bank account. The government is killing the big man upstairs with all these taxes.

Here are some photos of Katy Perry at the Delete Blood Cancer gala in NYC last night. Katy is wearing Vera Wang, and I think she pulls it off well overall. She looks so good in bold colors, and it’s amazing that Katy has kept one hair color for over six consecutive months at this point. This dress is pretty great too — Katy’s rack isn’t busting out all over the place, her tiny waist is on full display, and I don’t even mind the mermaid tail. Plus, Katy’s makeup doesn’t look as drag-queeny as usual, and these earrings look delicious enough to eat.
That’s as far as the good news goes for this post, however. Katy’s dad, Keith Hudson, is running his mouth again. For several years, Keith and Katy’s mom, Mary, have made a tidy living off their daughter’s name and notoriety, and they travel the globe giving guest speeches at churches while publicizing themselves as “Katy Perry’s parents.” At the same time, they’ve also expressed displeasure over Katy’s choice of career because they wanted her to be a faith healer. A few years ago, Keith even said that Katy was destined to go to hell because she sang about being a fake lesbian. For awhile, Katy managed to get her parents to STFU, but now Keith must need some major money again because he’s calling his daughter a “devil child.” Poor Katy:

Oh for the love of …. this is so messed up. Keith and Mary certainly don’t mind appearing on the red carpet with Katy and soaking up the crowd’s adulation in search of the almighty dollar, do they? With evangelists such as this pair, I always wonder whether they actually believe their own words about needing large donations to truly do their God’s work or whether they give each other congratulatory “high fives” after the show for pulling the proverbial wool over gullible people’s eyes. I tend to think that Katy is, by and large, an overindulged Hollywood brat, but she must be so embarrassed about her parent’s words and actions.

Joining celebs from Hollywood and Washington, Katy Perry headed to the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner at the Washington Hilton on Saturday (April 27).
The "Wide Awake" singer donned a strapless emerald Giambattista Valli gown with twig embellishment at the waist and her long dark hair worn to the side.
Stoked to hobnob with the Prez, the 28-year-old songstress tweeted, "I just witnessed our President deliver the funniest speech I have ever heard. #nerdprom."
When she's not starstruck by politicians, Ms. Perry is hard at work on her fourth studio album, scheduled for release this summer.

The newly single Katy Perry showed up to Nickelodeons 26th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards where she was the prettiest girl there. I bet all the boys wanted to talk to her but couldn’t because they all had painful boners.
As far as the actual awards show goes, I have no idea if Katy won anything. Unless there was a category called “Person I’d Most Like to Motorboat,” in which case, she won all the awards. Twice.
