Hard at work on the set, Isla Fisher was busy filming scenes for “Burke and Hare” in the Edinburgh Castle on Friday (February2 6).
Wearing a full length Victorian dress with ermine collar and stole, the “Confessions of a Shopaholic” cutie smiled as she joined co-stars Simon Pegg and Ronnie Corbett for the day’s work duties.
Directed by John Landis, the black comedy “Burke and Hare” is set to be released in the UK later this year.
Sure to be entertaining, the piece is about “two 19th century grave robbers who find a lucrative business providing cadavers for an Edinburgh medical school.”

At the UK premiere of “Confessions Of A Shopaholic”, Isla Fisher wowed the crowds in a black sparkling Jasmine Di Milo mini dress, which had short sleeves and a cut-out back. She wore this dress with black strappy Jimmy Choo heels and a small metallic clutch.

Isla Fisher is quickly climbing up my ranks of movie hotties! Isla was at the London premiere of Confessions of a Shopaholic, and she was looking pretty nice in her short black dress. Unfortunately, the dress doesn’t show any of the goodies that I would love to see from Isla, but she still looks pretty sexy. There’s always the FHM photos to get me to sleep. Taking her new movie to the UK, Isla Fisher attended the glitzy premiere of “Confessions Of A Shopaholic” at the Empire Cinema in London on Monday night (February 16).
The lovely redhead looked sexy in a glittering black mini dress with strappy black heels as she posed alongside co-star Hugh Dancy.

Fitting in a little last-minute promoting, Isla Fisher ventured over to NBC Studios in New York City for an appearance on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” on Friday (February 13).
Doing her best to boost interest in her new movie “Confessions of a Shopaholic”, Miss Fisher looked cheerful in a sexy Pink dress with a black jacket overtop as she was escorted out to an awaiting SUV following the show’s taping.

Isla Fisher is promoting her film Confessions of a Shopoholic, which is out in the US this Friday, February 13. Isla, 33, has a new interview with Star Magazine in which she insists she’s never going to make a movie with her partner, “Borat” comic Sacha Baron Cohen. Fisher calls it “the kiss of death” to star in a movie with your partner. She also tells a cute story about how people sometimes pat her on the head and treat her like a dog because she’s short:
The film is about clothes, but it’s also a comedy. Have you always been funny?
I don’t know, you’d have to ask someone else. But I’ve never minded making a fool out of myself! When we were younger, we traveled a lot. I’m sure I developed these skills in order to fit in. Being little and having red hair, you get teased a lot.
Do you think you and Sacha will ever star in a movie together?
I really don’t think that’s a good idea. It seems like the kiss of death for couples. I wouldn’t want to tempt fate.
One striking thing about you two is your height difference - he’s 6?3?, and you’re what, 5?2??
I’m used to it. It used to be hard when we went to a bar or something - people try to pick up little people physically, pat you on the head. It’s like when I communicate with a dog!

This movie looks kind of predicable but with funny moments, and it’s probably another mildly amusing chick film with a happy ending. I really enjoyed reading Fisher’s responses, though, she sounds like she’s quite a match for Baron Cohen and I bet they have a lot of fun together. After reading this I decided to watch an interview with Fisher and found a March, 2007 appearance she made on Letterman. (Link leads to video.) She was just as charming and witty back then as she is now. She even invited Letterman to her wedding, but admitted she hadn’t set a date yet. A year and a half and a baby daughter later and they still haven’t set a date. You get the impression that Fisher isn’t really worried about it, though, just based on her personality.
Fisher appeared on Letterman again last Thursday, (link leads to video). She talked about her 15 month old daughter, Olive, and told a funny story about how an agent once sent her a part meant for an older black man and told her she was perfect for it. She also showed a photo of herself doing a cartwheel on the beach and asked “what are the chances the sun would shine down on my crotch?” She joked “I always dreamed when I was a kid of coming on Letterman and showing my crotch.” She also told a story about how she once got mistaken for her boyfriend, Sacha Baron Cohen’s daughter at a party. Dave didn’t ask Isla about a potential wedding this time.

Ever the adorable pair, Isla Fisher was spotted treating daughter Olive Cohen to a shopping spree in New York City on Monday afternoon (February 9).
The 33-year-old Oman-born actress and her 1-year-old princess hit up a local toy shop, as Olive was immediately drawn to the giant zebra and giraffe stuffed animals as they browsed the store’s offerings.

I love hearing about celebrities behaving like normal people. Sure, diva behavior and outrageous spending are fun, but there’s something about rich and famous people doing average things that warms my heart.
Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen aka Borat are one of the most normal Hollywood couples, and their little girl is so cute. It’s nice to hear that despite their long engagement they still celebrate their anniversary seven years on.
Isla Fisher and SACHA BARON COHEN planned to celebrate their anniversary by seeing hit movie SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE - but had to leave the theatre when they couldn’t find seats together. The engaged couple, who are parents to one-year-old daughter Olive, headed to the cinema to check out the critically-acclaimed film, which is nominated for 10 Academy Awards at next month’s (Feb09) ceremony.
But they were forced to improvise another romantic date after realising the venue was too crowded to find seats.
Fisher recalls, “They only had two seats apart and, as it was our seventh anniversary, it didn’t feel right to sit away from each other. So we just walked around in the New York snow.”

I can just imagine any old couple doing this to celebrate their anniversary, and I like it better than the elaborate stunts pulled by some celebrities. Not that building your girlfriend an igloo to propose isn’t a beautiful gesture, but every time I tell my husband about these kind of things he just rolls his eyes and says ‘another grand gesture I can’t compete with? I’m going to give up and buy you a toaster this year’. He sort of has a point. Most of us can’t afford to get crazy romantic, but what we can afford is to go for a walk with your partner, and maybe catch a movie.
Recently Joe Biden and his wife Jill went for a date night and were turned away from sold out sessions of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Like Isla and Sacha, they mulled over their other film choices before leaving, without demanding special treatment.
