She stars in one of the hottest shows on television, and Julie Bowen told Ryan Seacrest that staying in shape for the red carpet isn?t as hard as she thought it would be.
The ?Modern Family? mommy shared that trying to keep track of her kids is, in itself, plenty of physical activity for her.
?My kids don?t do what I tell them to do so I have to pick them up and haul them around a lot. They weigh a lot. So I?m doing some sort of gym activity with my children all day long. Doing baby curls. I also run. ALOT.?
As for her notorious ?double breast feeding? picture, Julie laughed, ?It?s become an instant classic. I didn?t think it was a big deal. I thought it was funny, and that?s the way I spent a year of my life so I thought I would take a picture and laugh at it.?

Bringing her beauty to the red carpet, Julie Bowen was among the attendees turning up for the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday evening (January 30).
The ABC actress looked to be having quite the marvelous time as she made her way inside the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles for the Tinseltown ceremony.
Miss Bowen happens to be up for the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series along with her "Modern Family" co-stars, as the castmates face off against "Glee," "Hot in Cleveland," "The Office" and "30 Rock".
With the show airing on TNT and TBS beginning at 8PM (ET), the show boasts a long list of illustrious presenters including Mila Kunis, Cory Monteith, Hilary Swank, Justin Timberlake, and Eva Longoria.

From what little I’ve seen of Modern Family actress Julie Bowen, 41, she’s completely won me over. On the George Lopez show earlier this year, she showed a photo of her now 18 month-old twins, John and Gus, breastfeeding as newborns. It took a lot of gumption to share that photo, and I found it really sweet. She also told a story about having to borrow a babywipe from another mother when her three year old needed to poop in the woods. Bowen will poke fun at herself, and she’s quick witted.
People has a new interview with Bowen, in which she makes it perfectly clear that she’s not expanding her family beyond the three boys she already has:
With three sons ? Oliver, 3, as well as twins John and Gus, 18 months ? and a television family that seems to keep her in a constant state of exasperation, it comes as no surprise that the Emmy-nominated actress was compelled to draw a line in the sand.
What is surprising is just how harsh that line is.
?Oh God, no! No more children,? Bowen, 41, deadpans to PEOPLE at the March of Dimes Fifth Annual Celebration of Babies.
?Seriously, I gave my husband [Scott Phillips] a vasectomy with a rusty fork ? it?s done.?
Corroded utensils and veiled threats aside, Bowen has come to terms with her transformation into a full-fledged matriarch.
?I?m late to everything whereas I used to be on time to everything,? the Modern Family star says with a sigh. ?But now I am late and unwashed. Thank God for perfume and hairspray.?
At the very least, the little ones at home play an integral role in the actress? unflinchingly honest assessment of her fitness regimen.
?I lift children for the upper body,? Bowen explains. ?I run for the lower body, and for the middle I wear Spanx. That?s it ? that?s my three-part system.?

She’s being modest about her fitness as she’s incredibly buff. Running will probably do that for you, though, and it’s not like she’s claiming that she only “runs after her kids.” I’m not a huge Modern Family fan as I’ve tried to watch it mid-season and couldn’t get into it. It’s a very popular show though and Kaiser loves it. Are any of you fans and is Bowen as great on screen as she seems in interviews?

Taking care of her to-do list, Julie Bowen was out and about in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon (November 11) doing various errands.
The ?Modern Family? babe headed over to Aaron Brothers to pick up some frames, and also mailed a few packages along the way.
During her recent interview on Conan O?Brien?s new show, Julie told a story about her kids and the mischief they get into.
Bowen explained, ?I have twin 18-month-olds.? And during playtime one of them put the other one into a compromising position. "The smart fat one had gotten the cute one in the dryer. I don't know how."
Of course, Julie ran off to get her camera to take a picture. But Conan shot back, "Wait a minute! That's your first instinct, is get a picture? A dryer is an oven that moves! You get Fatty out!"

Taking care of her motherly duties, Julie Bowen was spotted out for a walk with her twin sons in Studio City yesterday (November 7).
The ?Modern Family? babe looked proud as she strolled up the street with little John and Gus as the paparazzi looked on.
In a recent interview, Julie explained that her husband Scott Phillips helps her stay sane as she balances career and family.
"The dirty secret is that I'm a very anxious person. I'm constantly looking for the hole in the doughnut. My husband, Scott, doesn't even know the doughnut has a hole - no one told him. He's the perfect counterbalance. He has a calming effect on me, and he's fun."
She also noted that she?s a tomboy. "People always tell me I have a lot of guy energy. I?m less comfortable in stilettos than I am in running shoes. I?m managing to keep up with my three boys pretty well, but the 3-year-old is starting to be obsessed with his man parts, and that?s a revelation."

Stepping out for a fun-filled evening, Julie Bowen was spotted at the 10th Anniversary of Les Girls Cabaret last night (October 4).
The ?Lost? actress looked to be in good spirits as she arrived at Avalon Hollywood, sporting a black and silver one-shoulder dress with black heels.
And when it comes to comparisons between herself and her ?Modern Family? costar Sofia Vergara, Julie says she?s confident in her own beauty.
"There are days when I'm like, 'Hey, you look pretty good.' But I work with Sofia Vergara. You can have your very best day, and then you walk in and look at her and you go, 'Okay, now that's just superhuman.? She's extraordinarily beautiful, smart and funny. I don't look bad, but I don't look like Sofia Vergara, and that's okay."

The ?Lost? actress looked lovely in a white jacket overtop a white dress with a red scarf as she entered the back door of the studio.
Ms. Bowen was in the house to drum up interest in the season premiere of her hit ABC television program ?Modern Family,? set to hit airwaves tonight (September 22).
Julie?s costar Ed O?Neill had kind words about her and the rest of the cast. ?I enjoy working with every one of them. Honestly, every one of them I get a big kick out of.?

She?s always up for a good time, and earlier this evening (August 29) Julie Bowen was spotted at the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
The ?Modern Family? actress showed off her fabulous sense of fashion in a strapless, asymmetrical navy blue gown and a prom-style hairdo.
Once inside, Julie was one of the contenders for the 2010 Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
Unfortunately for her, ?Glee? actress Jane Lynch ended up taking the trophy, also beating out Kristin Wiig, Sofia Vergara, Jane Krakowski, and Holland Taylor.

Stepping out for a promotional appearance, Sofia Vergara and Julie Bowen were spotted at the NY Upfronts celebration last night (May 16).
The ?Modern Family? babes looked to be in good spirits as they mingled around the Entertainment Weekly and 20th Century Fox Television shindig at the Cooper Square Penthouse.
Also in the house were Sofia and Julie?s costars Ed O?Neill and Jesse Tyler Ferguson as well as many other celebrities.
?Modern Family? is all set for a new season this fall, as it was immensely popular during the 2009-2010 run.
