Keeping up her pace with the help of some tunes, Julie Bowen jogged around her Los Angeles neighborhood on Wednesday (November 7).
The "Modern Family" actress looked fit in a maroon zip-up sweatshirt, black workout leggings, and gray tennis shoes as she got caught like a deer in headlights by photographers.
Recently, the 42-year-old spoke to PEOPLE about who she would choose as the Sexiest Man Alive this year.
Though Channing Tatum may be the official winner, Julie chose a very different candidate. She exclaims, "Stephen Colbert! Other than my husband, it's Stephen Colbert. My hall pass. He's just so funny."

She's always a sight to see, and on Sunday night (September 23) Julie Bowen had the red carpet buzzing as she arrived to the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
The "Modern Family" actress brightened up the Nokia Theatre LA Live arrivals area in a yummy yellow frock while gearing up for the small screen celebration to get underway.
Among the hardware hopefuls, Julie Bowen is in the running for Supporting Comedy Actress honors with other top nominees including "American Horror Story" and "Mad Men" with 17 bids apiece.
As for the show, the 2012 Emmys are set to broadcast live on ABC beginning at 8PM ET/5PM PT.
Taking care of hosting duties is late night funnyman Jimmy Kimmel while the lineup of star presenters boasts names such as Claire Danes, Kerry Washington, Zooey Deschanel, Julianna Margulies, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Melissa McCarthy, Alec Baldwin and the beautiful Julianne Moore.

Making the most of the beautiful weather, Julie Bowen headed over to the Farmer?s Market in Studio City, California yesterday afternoon (August 26).
Joined by her husband Scott Phillips and their three sons Oliver, Gustav, and John, the ?Modern Family? babe browsed the goodies on display as shutterbugs looked on.
Julie is featured on the cover of the Fall 2012 issue of Capitol File magazine, and in her interview she confessed that while she?s surrounded by liberal Hollywood, she?s becoming more conservative with age.
"There's the adage that if you're not a liberal when you're young, you have no heart, and if you're not a conservative when you're old, you have no brains. I find myself somewhere at those crossroads. There is this sense of wanting to protect your family. Right now I want them to have a childhood and I don't want them to be exposed to everything so fast."
She continued, "The boys are finally at an age where I find them so luscious and fantastic that I don't want to be away if I don't have to be if. It's such a gift to not to feel the pressure to go hunting down a job right now. I'm just lucky as hell."

Ready for what's set to be an eventful evening, Julie Bowen joined the many stars attending the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (January 29).
The "Modern Family? divorcee worked the red carpet at the Shrine Exposition Center in a colorful Temperley London number before hitting the entrance ahead of the annual Tinseltown celebration of cinema.
Not just a mere spectator, Julie happens to have the important task of presenting an award, with fellow trophy passer-outers including George Clooney, Michelle Williams, Brad Pitt, Zoe Saldana and Natalie Portman.
Miss Bowen will also be competing for the Outstanding Performance By A Female Actor In A Comedy Series while she and her "Modern Family" castmates are also in the running for Outstanding Performance By An Ensemble In A Comedy Series against "30 Rock," "The Big Bang Theory," "Glee" and "The Office."
Airing live on TNT and TBS at 8PM ET, the show honors the best in Hollywood over the past year while also having selected Mary Tyler Moore as the recipient of the 48th Life Achievement Award.

Looking picture perfect for the red carpet festivities, Julie Bowen turned up for the 69th annual Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles, California on Sunday evening (January 15).
Taking place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, the "Modern Family" actress was clad in a Reem Acra gown while working the arrivals area before heading inside for the swanky Hollywood fete.
Talking about her choice in ensemble prior to the event, Miss Bowen told E!, "Reem Acra. I'm afraid to say the name because I might chicken out. It's really princessy. It's a little girlie for me and I'm still on the fence. It's gorgeous mind you. It's stunning."
Meanwhile, Julie and her "Modern Family" castmates are up for Best Comedy TV Series honors at the Ricky Gervais-hosted ceremony - which air live on NBC beginning at 8PM ET/PT.

Keeping up on her regular fitness program, Julie Bowen was spotted out for a jog in Los Angeles, CA on Tuesday (November 29).
The ?Modern Family? star sported a makeup-less face and workout wear with a t-shirt reading ?Power Women, Power Tools? - with the slogan being for an event put on by Habitat for Humanity that brings together women who frame houses for new neighborhoods.
Aside from keeping herself in tip-top shape, Julie was recently asked who she thinks her ?Modern Family? character Claire Dunphy would have an affair with.
Without hesitation, the fun-loving actress revealed, ?Stephen Colbert [host of Comedy Central?s ?The Colbert Report?], bar none.?

Among the many stars on-hand for one of the biggest nights in the music world, Julie Bowen showed up for the 2011 American Music Awards in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (November 20).
Taking place at the Nokia Theatre LA Live, the "Modern Family" actress was all smiles as she readied to partake in the night's ceremony - which airs live on ABC starting at 8/7c.
As for the show, numerous top acts are lined up for performances including Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Maroon 5 with Christina Aguilera, Nicki Minaj with David Guetta, Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Swift, among others.
Meanwhile, Miss Bowen is among the many celebrities set to grace the stage and pass out a trophy - as she joins fellow presenters such as Joe Jonas, Matthew Morrison, Heidi Klum, Katherine Heigl, Avril Lavigne, Jane Levy, Selena Gomez and Jennifer Hudson.

Here?s the thing: I genuinely like Julie Bowen as a person. In interviews, she?s smart and cool and she never gets all Mother-Mafia like so many Hollywood moms. I also think Julie - when she?s at her best - is very, very pretty. I know a lot of guys who think she?s hot - I think it?s a combination of ?cuteness? and accessibility. Like, she looks like a MILF most dudes would actually run into.
Here?s the other thing: Julie Bowen is a train wreck on the red carpet. She wears too much makeup, she doesn?t know what colors flatter her skin tone and hair, she doesn?t get stuff tailored for her body, and her default style is just? bad. These are photos of Julie last night at a David Yurman event in LA. It?s not that the dress and shoes are bad - CB thinks the outfit is really cute, and I think it would have been good on someone with different coloring. It really is that Julie Bowen simply doesn?t know how to dress herself. Does she have a stylist? If she does, she needs a new one. This dress looks like an airy, neon pillowcase on Julie?s too-slender frame.
By the way, what do you think of the new season of Modern Family? I LOVED the second episode of the season, where Lily kept saying ?I?m gonna kill the baby.? I?m still laughing over that. But I dislike the direction for Claire - she was already so manic and scattered, and they?re really turning her into such a shrew, right? And I?m not sure what to think about Claire?s housewife-to-politician career path. Hopefully the writing will get stronger for Claire. Fingers crossed.

A few weeks ago, Gwyneth Paltrow gave an interview about how happy she was for Beyonce and Bey?s impending motherhood. Instead of just wishing Bey well, Dame Goop decided to lay on the ?motherhood is the only thing that gives a woman?s life significance? sanctimony. Goop?s comment: ?I think motherhood is the biggest blessing of all time and it give your life real meaning. It?s always interesting when you?re a woman with success and you?ve achieved a lot, and then you have a baby and you realize everything you thought was an achievement really is nothing until you have a kid.?
Goop really upset me and CB said something to me that was the crux of what I was trying to explain in my rage-filled, verbose way. Paraphrasing CB, she said something like: Being a mom is an achievement, and it does give your life a new meaning, but it?s just different than other achievements in a non-comparable way. You can?t compare being a mom to owning your own business, or getting your B.A., or any of the other achievements you can have.
Anyway, I get tired of Hollywood moms trying to out-patronize other moms, or the childfree ladies. That?s one of the reasons I like Julie Bowen - she isn?t trying to out-mother anybody. She freely admits that some days she kind of hates her children.
Parenting isn’t always pretty!
Modern Family’s Julie Bowen won the Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Sunday night for her portrayal of Claire Dunphy, a mother of three whose kids’ antics sometimes drive her up the wall. The real-life mom of three admits that her experiences as a mom help her to relate to the neurotic character she plays.
“If I wasn’t a mom, I think it’d be harder to understand what it is to live with a child and hate and love them all at once,” Bowen, 41, told Us Weekly Sunday at the Governor’s Ball in LA. “Claire does that with her kids, and I do that with mine.” (Bowen and husband Scott Phillips have a 4-year-old son, Oliver, and 2-year-old twin boys, John and Gus.)
“I love them so much,” she added. “There’s always this undercurrent of love, but there are moments when I really wouldn’t mind if a giant hook just pulled them off the stage of my life! I think that’s how Claire feels. But if I wasn’t a parent, I think that dichotomy would confuse me.”
The season premiere of Modern Family is Wednesday at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.

Honesty is so refreshing. Don?t worry, though, the judgmental Mother Mafia is already preparing to lynch Julie for her refreshingly honest comments, particularly her use of the word ?hate?. I think it?s better for Julie (or any mother) to openly discuss how aggravating it is to be a mom, rather than keep it all bottled up and lacquer it over with a layer of Botox, on top of a layer of denial, on top of a layer of vodka. MORE HONESTY.
I?ve included some photos of Julie at various pre-Emmy events over this past weekend. I?m telling you, her style is slowly improving. It?s not ?good? but it?s ?better?.

Here?s the thing about Julie Bowen: I actually like her a great deal, I think she?s pretty and she?s a gifted actress and comedienne, and I almost always love her interviews, so she?s a pretty interesting and intelligent woman too. BUT? her style is almost always horrendous. Like, she?s one of the few ladies that I always know is going to mess up her red carpet look. So, when you come into it thinking, ?Damn, I bet Julie Bowen looks like hell tonight,? you can actually be nicely surprised when she puts in some effort to look styled and pretty.
So Julie wore this metallic grey-black-pewter Oscar de la Renta gown? which I actually like. I was on the phone with my mom, and she absolutely hated the whole look, though. I think lots of women identify with Julie Bowen, and with her Modern Family character, and they expect her to really bring it, style-wise, to awards shows. Maybe they don?t realize that Julia doesn?t really know what looks good on her, but I give her credit for trying, and I do think she?s improving. My mom?s biggest problem with this look was that Julie looks too thin, Julie?s ?too old? (my mom?s words) to wear a deep-V-neck gown, and lastly, Julie?s HAIR. I dislike the hair too, but it?s not as bad as it?s been before. I think Julie just has hair issues, and she doesn?t know what to do with it for the red carpet. So we get this little flat-ironed ponytail? ugh. Just put it in a bun, Julie.
My biggest problem? Julie?s makeup, always and forever. She wears too much makeup on Modern Family, and she wears too much in real life and on the red carpet. If you wiped all of that crap off of her face, I suspect you would find a very naturally pretty and young-looking woman.
Congrats to Julia and Ty Burrell on their Outstanding Supporting Actor and Actress wins for Modern Family. I LOVE how many awards Modern Family is getting, because I think it?s the smartest and funniest sitcom in a long time. I always that Julie Bowen must get tired of Sofia Vergara getting all of the attention from the show, but apparently Emmy voters are bigger fans of Claire and Phil.
