Here is one the new photos of Blake Lively released by her new employer, L?Oreal. Blake became the newest ?face? for L?Oreal last week, and I do have to admit, this is a lovely photo. I wouldn?t have gone with black-and-white though ? it seems like a makeup/beauty company should always do color images. Still, this photo makes it seem like this campaign will be much better than Blake?s sad Gucci campaign.
Anyway, Blake Lively has always claimed that she doesn?t do much to maintain her figure. For years, she?s given interviews about how she?s so young and active, she doesn?t need to exercise or plan her workouts or anything like that. Well, she?s at it again:
Blake Lively has the A-list husband and Hollywood film career, and just in case you didn’t have enough reasons to dislike her – she credits her amazing figure to chocolate. The ‘Gossip Girl’ actress never deprives herself of anything and thinks her penchant for sweet treats – which she consumes for breakfast and as an evening snack – helps her stay slim and confident.
Asked if she follows a strict regime, Blake said: ‘I do nothing! I’m lucky to have a very active lifestyle. I’m always running around everywhere… So I don’t need to hire a coach or watch what I eat. I can’t start my day off without a mug of hot chocolate or finishing off the day with a few squares of dark chocolate… It keeps me feeling happy.’
Blake – who has just been unveiled at the new face of L’Oreal Paris – says her glowing complexion is down to wearing high factor sunscreen every single day.
She explained: ‘I follow a very simple regime which is broken down into three steps: make-up removal, skincare and UV protection – I’m absolutely obsessed with it. My beauty must have is L’Oreal’s BB Cream with SPF 30 – I never ever wear anything less than that factor.’
When she’s feeling down, Blake admits her perfect pick-me-up is a spa session as she always emerges feeling more relaxed.
The 26-year-old blonde revealed in an interview with French Vogue magazine: ‘Getting a massage, if possible at the Mandarin Oriental spa in New York, which I love. I always feel much more beautiful afterwards…’
[From The Mail]
First of all? do you believe her about the working out thing? I do, kind of. I think she has great genes when it comes to her metabolism, but here?s something funny: that?s going to change for Blake in a few years. Once she hits her early 30s, she won?t be able to start and end the day with chocolate and still maintain her figure. Your early 30s are brutal, at least if you?re someone like Blake. On the plus side, if you?re like me and you?ve always had a fuller, rounder face, your 30s are when you finally ?get? cheekbones.

She?s accustomed to the finer things in life, and last night (October 29) Blake Lively showed up at Hotel Balzac in Paris, France for some delicious French cuisine.
The ?Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants? starlet was all smiles as she sauntered inside sporting a white top and blue and white printed trousers.
Ms. Lively was likely celebrating the announcement that she?s the new face of L?Oreal Paris, with a multimillion dollar partnership slated to begin next year.
Meanwhile, Blake?s acting career is also heating up following the demise of ?Gossip Girl?? she?s replaced Katherine Heigl in the forthcoming film ?The Age of Adaline.?

I think Blake Lively is pretty. That?s a controversial opinion, I guess. But I really do think she?s got a great, accessible prettiness. I always thought the haute-couture criticisms of Blake from Team Chanel people were actually dead-on: she shouldn?t be ?the face? of a label like Chanel because her prettiness is so down-market. Which is to say, she?s got a girl-next-door freshness, a happy sunniness that doesn?t always translate so well to stuffy luxury labels. Blake belongs on the cover of Cosmo, not Vogue. Blake should represent H&M, not Chanel. Her work for Gucci is a joke too, just another attempt to make her seem ?deeper? or more enigmatic than she could ever be. But Blake has a new endorsement deal, and I actually think this one might fit her look the best: she?s the newest face of L?Oreal!
Shiny hair. Hot husband. Burgeoning lifestyle empire. You wouldn?t have thought anything was missing from Blake Lively?s life, but it turns out there was one last thing absent from her rsum: A major makeup campaign.
Well, you can stop feeling sorry for her, because that all changed today. According to the L?Oral Paris Instagram account, Lively will be the brand?s newest face. Or as they put it, ?Annonce exclusive: Nous souhaitons la bienvenue la somptueuse et talentueuse Blake Lively, nouvelle ambassadrice L?Oral Paris ! Dfinitivement elle le vaut bien!? (Rough translation thanks to three years of high school French: ?Exclusive announcement! We?re excited to welcome the gorgeous and talented Blake Lively, our new lady ambassador! She?s definitely worth it!?)
[From People Mag]
Blake as the face of a makeup company that is in every CVS and grocery store in America? Yes. This is perfect. Plus, the message is absolutely dead-on ? you too can look like Blake Lively with L?Oreal makeup. Which is true ? she?s pretty, for sure, but she gets a lot of help from makeup and clothes. Which makes her accessible. I dislike when makeup/beauty companies hire really young starlets to represent their brand (I?m still side-eyeing Lancome?s work with Emma Watson and now Lily Collins), but on this collaboration, I?m all for it. This makes perfect sense.
[Whispers] Plus, it?s not like Blake has much else going on. She just signed on to her first movie role in more than two years. She?s going to launch a budget Goop site. And it?s not like she?s getting pregnant any time soon, I guess. These days, she does more modeling than acting.

| Blake Lively got a real acting job: will she still pretend to care about lifestyle blogging? | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

A few weeks ago, Blake Lively announced that she would be launching her own lifestyle/homemaking/whatever website, which just sounded like a budget version of Gwyneth Paltrow?s GOOP. According to Blake, however, her project was ?without a genre,? something so new and unique that we would eat our peasanty words. At the time, I kind of thought this choice made sense. Blake finds herself in a weird position ? she?s the queen of ?uptrading? but her actual film/TV career is going nowhere.
We can debate whether that?s a conscious choice Blake has made ? to spend more time on her side projects and to focus on being a newlywed wife and homemaker ? but can we agree that her acting career is in the dumps? I personally think Hollywood could easily find a place for Blake if she only downgraded her expectations. If Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba and Megan Fox can have acting careers, so can Blake. But Blake thinks she?s better. Blake thinks she?s got enough hustle to be a major actress. She does have that hustle. But she doesn?t really have the talent. And that disparity is a factor in why she hasn?t worked on a film since 2011 (Savages) and why she?s probably been saying ?no? to the films she has been offered.
But now she?s scored a new movie. So does she still have to pretend to care about lifestyle blogging?
The romantic drama The Age Of Adaline has been through a couple of incarnations, but it is now set to go into production in March as a co-production between Sidney Kimmel Entertainment and Lakeshore Entertainment. The Town?s Blake Lively is set to star with Ellen Burstyn, with Lee Toland Krieger directing. Lionsgate is set to release the film domestically.
Scripted by J. Mills Goodloe and Salvador Paskowitz, with revisions by Allison Burnett, The Age Of Adaline follows the miraculous life of the 29-year old title character, who stops aging after recovering from a near-fatal accident. Over the 20th century she embarks on an epic but isolated worldwide journey, keeping her secret, until she meets a man who forever alters her life.
?They?re extraordinarily talented and perfect for telling the beautiful and timeless tale of The Age Of Adaline,? Lakeshore CEO Rosenberg said of Lively and Burstyn. Added Lakeshore prexy Lucchesi: ?Lee Toland Krieger is one of the most stylish young filmmakers working in Hollywood today. He is visually imaginative and possesses a strong narrative sense.?
Noting that the project took awhile to come together (Katherine Heigl once was attached), Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Co-Chairs Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger said: ?We searched for the ideal director and stars. We believe that we have found them with Lee Toland Krieger, Blake Lively and Ellen Burstyn, and together they will tell the story of Adaline in a way that audiences won?t forget.?
[From Deadline]
It sounds like an incredibly boring movie. I bet it will LOOK good, but it sounds sort of a like a budget version (with some tweaking) of Orlando (with Tilda!). Still, it?s a starring role and she gets to work with Oscar-winner Ellen Burstyn. That?s exciting. I guess babies will have to wait a while longer, Ryan Reynolds.

| Blake Lively launching 'one of a kind' Goop-esque company: 'It's without a genre' | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Blake Lively doesn?t have a lot going on. I sometimes debate whether this is by design or whether the rest of Hollywood is a little bit smarter than Ben Affleck and Anna Wintour. Blake is a ?Fashion Girl? who tried to be a movie star for a little while? until she got the Pink diamond from Ryan Reynolds. Now she?s all home renovations, WASP-y vacations and cupcake-baking. I kept thinking that she would get knocked up right away just to firm up her new Suzy Homemaker image, but that hasn?t happened. Which surprises me ? and I bet it surprises Ryan Reynolds too. Anyway, since no one is sending Blake any scripts, she?s decided to do the same thing Gwyneth Paltrow decided to do when she stopped getting good scripts: launch a ?lifestyle? brand. Yes, Blake Lively is going Full Goop.
Blake Lively is launching her own company, and this time it has nothing to do with acting.
“It’s something that will be launching in a few months and that I’m really, really thrilled about. The main element of it is that it’s about storytelling and it’s about living a very one-of-a-kind, curated life, and how to achieve that. There’s nothing like it out there – it’s without a genre,” Lively told us. “I have so many passions outside of acting and things that I grew up being good at and that I don’t utilize when acting. Acting was something that my family did so I just kind of got into it by default, but there was so much that I cultivated, thinking that I wouldn’t be an actor.”
Lively says that she has had the opportunity to branch out into new projects since she finished filming Gossip Girl just under a year ago, and took part in Gucci’s “amazing” Chime for Change concert this year as well as continuing as the face of the fashion house’s Premiere fragrance. But fans of her work needn’t worry, it certainly isn’t the end of her acting career.
“A lot has changed for me in the last year! I got married, I finished Gossip Girl after six years, I had my first break in a while and I’ve been working on this company? it has been nice to have a separation from my show. The first film I did coming out of Gossip Girl, I wanted it to be different from anything I’ve ever done but also representative of where I want to go, because now I’m in a different place,” she told us.
“When I was doing Gossip Girl, I had these short breaks where I could play a character on weekends, but there’s a movie I’m really excited about that I’ll be doing this winter and one of the most enticing parts of it is that it spans from the 1900s until now. The fashion is amazing, and my character gets to experience all of the different time periods and tell the story through fashion. It’s not a movie about fashion, but it’s an integral part of who she is and the whole story.”
[From Vogue UK]
WTF? No seriously? WTF is she talking about? ?The main element of it is that it’s about storytelling and it’s about living a very one-of-a-kind, curated life, and how to achieve that. There’s nothing like it out there – it’s without a genre.? So, basically, she?s launching some kind of squishy lifestyle brand that will teach people how to live like Blake Lively? Sure, that?s ?one of a kind,? but let?s not pretend that ?it?s without a genre.? The ?genre? of lifestyle branding/aspirational living stuff has been around for a LONG time, chica. At best, this will be a knockoff of Martha Stewart. At worst, it will be a really budget version of Goop.

| Blake Lively in mustard Gucci for Milan Fashion Week: gorgeous or unflattering? | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Blake Lively was in Milan to kick off their Fashion Week at the Gucci show yesterday. These are photos of Blake wearing a new Gucci dress in mustard leather, about to go into the show. She got to sit beside Anna Wintour. Of course she did. I have to say, I?m kind of hoping for some drama out of Milan Fashion Week. London Fashion Week was extremely boring ? it was even worse than NY Fashion Week, as far as photos and celebrity-attendees went. Even the Burberry show ? usually one of the biggest, most A-list events during LFW ? was lost in the coverage because no one A-list really came to the show. You could say that it?s a good thing, that people are now free to focus on the clothes instead of the celebrities. But have you heard much about the Burberry S/S line? Not so much.
As for Blake in this leather dress? I feel like she?s really trying to make mustard a thing. Mustard is not a thing. Michelle Williams came the closest to getting mustard on the map with her 2006 Oscar dress, but this is like the second or third time Blake has worn mustard for a major outing. I don?t get it. Why fight so hard for mustard? It?s a color that only blondes can wear, and even then, you have to be a certain kind of blonde to make it work. Also: the leather looks especially stiff around the bust, either that or Blake?s tatas just look especially fake these days. Those are like Barbie Boobs in this dress.
By the way, Blake and Ryan Reynolds just celebrated their first wedding anniversary last week. Aren?t you surprised that she?s not knocked up yet? I?m surprised by that. I?m guessing Ryan is surprised by that too.

Here is Blake Lively stepping out in style at the Gucci Fashion Show as part of Milan Fashion Week Womenswear Spring/Summer 2014 in Milan, Italy. Lively wowed in a mustard yellow leather dress with a twisted halter top and belted waist when she arrived.
The 26-year-old actress, who is the face of Gucci Premiere fragrance, took in the show beside Anna Wintour. The two looked quite friendly, chatting and posing for photos in the front row.

| Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds want to be 'the new Brangelina?: oh really' | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I can?t think of any younger celebrity couple that I would consider the ?next Brangelina?. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are definitely more than the sum of their parts, a concentrated whirling dervish of A-list careers, charity work, money, fame and controversy. How in the world would Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds even compete with that? And why would they want to? But according to Star Magazine, Blake and Ryan do see themselves as the heirs-apparent to Brangelina. Huh? I?ll buy it about Blake wanting to be more like Angelina, but I don?t know about Ryan.
Ryan and Blake Lively are totally obsessed with becoming the next Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie!
?Ryan and Blake get extremely excited when people tell them they remind them of Brad and Angelina,? an insider tells Star. ?They love how Brad and Angie live their lives and they go out of their way to mirror them.?
For one, both couples have ditched the madness of Hollywood in favor of more private home bases. While the Jolie-Pitts have residences in New Orleans and France, the Reynoldses have hunkered down in Bedford and British Columbia. There?s also a mutual appreciation for art: Brad has apprenticed with Frank Gehry and designed his own furniture and ?Ryan loves art ? he never gets tired of museums.?
Blake and Ryan have also talked about their desire to have a large family. A source says, ?They definitely want to have a couple of children biologically, but they love the idea of adopting from Third World countries in order to draw attention to the places, like Brad and Angelina have done.?
Blake once said, ?I don?t have that whole Angelina Jolie air to me. I wish that I did.? A source says, ?Blake constantly monitors Angelina?s clothing style on and off the red carpet.? Blake also wants to begin to do humanitarian work ? ?Blake has a great deal of respect for all the humanitarian work Angie has done.?
[From Star Magazine, print edition]
Star also points out some other similarities ? the age gap between Blake and Ryan is 11 years, same age gap between Brad and Angelina. Brad and Ryan have both been People?s Sexiest Man, both Ryan and Brad ride motorcycles, and both couples met on-set, working on a film. Eh. Blake could have been a more scandalous and more Jolie-esque person if she had owned some of controversies, but she traded in a potential ?wild child? image for something much more wholesome. And I think that?s what she wants, that?s how she wants to be seen, as a wife and a cook and whatever. As for Ryan? he wishes he was seeing some of Brad?s scripts.

| Blake Lively: 'Work is important, but my greatest passion is my personal life' | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here is the long-awaited cover of the September issue of Lucky. I say ?long-awaited? because we saw candid photos from the New York City photo shoot back in May, and because I actually do want to see how the magazine has re-booted itself under the leadership of Anna Wintour (Wintour was made ?Artistic Director for Conde Nast? this past spring). The cover is pretty, and it?s not as schizophrenic as the old, text-heavy Lucky covers used to be. The image of Blake is striking and it reminds me a lot of? like, 1990s magazines for young women. Not so much Seventeen, but definitely Jane and Sassy (sigh? nostalgia). Anyway, some highlights from Blake?s interview:
Cover-line: ?I don?t have a stylist. I trust myself.?
On Ryan?s style: ?I’m very lucky to be with someone who has better taste than me. We influence each other in different ways.?
Her married style: ?I was recently asked how my style has changed since I got married, as if I was living under some sort of dictatorship. I should hope I dress differently at 25 than I did when I graduated high school. I hope I never stop changing.?
The immediate gratification of her marriage: “With film and TV, you don’t see the results for months. Building a home, you get immediate gratification.”
Happy wife: “Work is important, but my greatest passion is my personal life.?
She has ?princess days?: ?That could call for wearing something totally inappropriate. Like a beaded purse and a gorgeous pair of crystal heels just to go to the grocery store.?
[From The Mail]
I haven?t noticed much of a difference in how Blake dresses now that she?s married. Her style has always been hit-or-miss as far as I?m concerned ? the biggest evolution of her style that I can see is that she?s been paying more attention to the fit and tailoring of her clothes, which is good because she used to wear stuff that was much too tight. As for her continuing insistence on not having a stylist ? I feel the same way about Duchess Kate?s insistence on not having a stylist or personal shopper or someone: if you?re in the public eye, if you?re making public appearances all the time, why would you want to waste all of that valuable time going from store to store and shopping all day long when it would just be easier to pay someone to do that for you?
As for her whole ?my greatest passion is my personal life? thing? I eyerolled at that, did anyone else? But I?m very cynical, I guess. Maybe I just don?t ?get? how deep their love is. Obviously.
