Kicking off the weekend a little early, Miley Cyrus showed up at the Los Angeles premiere of ?Paranoia? to support her fianc Liam Hemsworth last night (August 8).
The ?Party in the USA? songstress had a blast posing with her main man outside the DGA Theatre, putting to rest the continual breakup rumors.
And of course, Cyrus got all gussied up in some designer duds, including a Proenza Schouler dress and Celine heels.
?Paranoia? also stars Harrison Ford, Amber Heard, and Gary Oldman, and it hits theaters next Friday, August 16th.

| Miley Cyrus in couture for Harper's Bazaar: stunning or try hard' | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Miley Cyrus is featured in two silly stories in this week’s tabloids. The first tale holds that Miley’s pot smoking is endangering her life because of lifelong tachycardia (elevated heartrate). The second story talks about how Miley has pushed her parents into marriage counseling. Both stories are lame, so let’s skip ahead to the main fare, shall we?
Miley has scored her own massive photospread in the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar (the one with Sarah Jessica Parker on the cover), and I would be willing to bet that Miley was dying to get that cover, but Bazaar just couldn’t force themselves to go that downmarket … especially for a September issue. Of course, one might think that I’m insulting Miley by calling her “downmarket,” but that’s the image she’s intentionally projecting as of this year. As such, I can imagine that Bazaar wasn’t entirely thinking “cover girl” after Miley whipped out multiple grills (from her Louis Vuitton bag, no less) during her recent video interview with their series, The Look.
The thing is, Miley so badly wants to be a fashion girl as evidenced by her pose-harding while obnoxiously surrounded by Chanel bags and declaring her allegiance to the Olsen Twins. And she possibly could have pulled off this shoot, but given Miley’s level of self-promotion, she unavoidably ends up making these clothes look tacky. (Miley was photographed by Terry Richardson because, sadly, he shoots everything these days.) The first photo on the motorbike looks uncomfortable and ridiculous while this one below looks like it belongs in a bad R. Kelly video.
Although I must admit that there are a few shots out of the whole bunch that are lovely. This one with the gate and the one on the stairs are my favorites. The rest of them? As usual, Miley is trying wayyy too hard.

Surprise, surprise. For last night?s LA premiere of Paranoia, the lead of the film, Liam Hemsworth, actually walked the red carpet with his fiance Miley Cyrus. Isn?t that interesting? Miley and Liam?s engagement seemed off-and-on for months now. Actually, it seemed like Miley was sort of clinging to Liam while he gallivanted and fooled around with other chicks (like January Jones?). But they?re still together. And they want you to know that. I?m trying to read Miley?s face? is that a look of triumph? I don?t think it is. I think that?s the look that Kelly Preston gets on her face when she?s doing an appearance with John Travolta. Like, ?Our relationship isn?t really like this, but let?s put on a show.?
Miley?s dress is Proenza Schouler Spring 2013. I hate it. I hate her shoe choice. I hate the leather. I hate the colors. I hate her hair. I hate her makeup. And I actually sort-of like Miley (at least I?m willing to give her a pass on some stuff). But this is a style failure from top to bottom.
Also on the carpet was ?controversial? Amber Heard, girlfriend of Johnny Depp. No, Depp did not walk the carpet with his girlfriend. He didn?t come near her premiere at all. Amber used to have great style, but this Vionnet gown is rather? blah. Not all that flattering. I like her darker hair, but the style is kind of messy. Her makeup looks good though.
And Harrison Ford and Callista. Boring. But I still love him. Gary Oldman didn?t come to the premiere, by the way!

After those dumpy Daisy Dukes pictures from earlier, this is more like it. Because here’s Miley Cyrus looking hot again, this time for something called Notion Magazine. I’ve never heard of them before, but so far, I’m liking what I see. A couple

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that Miley Cyrus drives a Maserati. She’s rich, famous and hot, so she deserves a car that’s gonna look just as good as she does. What I am surprised about though is that Miley’s got on such terrible oversized Daisy Dukes here. I mean, you guys know that normally

| Miley Cyrus as the star of Big Sean's 'Fire' video: hot & glamorous or look at me' | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here’s Miley Cyrus not-so-enthusiastically greeting the paparazzi over the weekend in LA, and once again, Miley is showing her fondness for cutoff denim shorts with the pockets hanging low. I’ll never understand why she insists upon chopping her jeans into shorts but then leaves the pockets dangling. Why not cut the pockets away too?
Ah well, there’s no accounting for taste, which might also explain why Miley’s “We Can’t Stop” single is topping the UK iTunes chart thanks in huge part to her recent European publicity blitz. Miley is also currently starring as “The Girl” in Big Sean’s new “Fire” video. There’s an “explicit” warning with this vid, but that’s probably more for language (the occasional “F” word) than for Miley showing off her bra. She actually looks really beautiful and composed in this

Finishing up her weekend to-do list, Miley Cyrus ran errands on Sunday (August 4) in Los Angeles.
The ?We Can?t Stop? songstress kept casual in denim shorts and a white tee shirt, which was knotted to bare her belly, as she made her way around town in her white car.
Recently, the former ?Hannah Montana? star was featured in Big Sean?s racy new music video for ?Fire,? where she showed off her toned body.
On having Miss Cyrus appear in his video, the singer told reporters, "I got Miley Cyrus for this video because she's somebody who's had a personal evolution as a lot of us have had. Besides all the personal stories I tell in the song, there are so many other ways people can make it through the fire."

In case there was any confusion, Miley Cyrus has evolved into a bona fide sex symbol, and her new video for Big Sean?s ?Fire? is her latest proof.
The former ?Hannah Montana? starlet is featured all throughout the clip, performing racy dance moves and wearing super skimpy (underboob-exposing) clothing.
As for the meaning of the song, Big Sean recently explained, ?It?s about getting through the tough times, through the fire, and always evolving.?
?Whether it?s in relationships, personal, in your work, etc. Miley?s character in the visual represents a metaphor for people who may have changed and evolved into something beautiful, who have evolved past certain relationships?the picture of me burning symbolizes an old romance and coming out victorious and beautiful as a flower.?

These photos are a welcome sight — Miley Cyrus is doing something normal that doesn’t scream, “Look at me!” Miley is walking one of her dogs, Happy, who just happens to be the one that she rescued from outside a Walmart when it was “starving and scared,” and (as strange as it sounds) I’ve really missed Miley being herself. Remember when we all used to get irritated about her constant Twitpics of dogs? Now that seems like a luxury in comparison to the “We Can’t Stop” era.
Some of you will probably think that Miley was still begging for attention by getting papped, but I don’t think she was looking to be snapped without makeup and without her grills. She was just walking one of her dogs, you know? Miley has also given a interview (remember, she’s on a media blitz thanks to the wily ways of Larry Rudolph) to the HuffPo’s UK extension, and she actually doesn’t sound like a douche. Well, not a total one who is talking about how singing about drugs is proof of being a grown up because she worked so hard to build an empire by age 11. Instead, she’s talking about her new BFF, Britney Spears:
It’s tough making the transition from family-friendly youngster to an adult in the public eye, something Miley Cyrus – who has been blasted for her latest raunchy video – knows all too well. So who does she call up when she needs some advice and understanding? Britney Spears, of course.
The former Hannah Montana star told The Huffington Post UK her close friend Britney is the “one person in [her] life who gets it”.
The “it” she is referring to (we imagine) is the constant paparazzi intrusion and headlines regarding her personal life, on everything ranging from her new image, to drug use and alleged relationship crises.
Asked whether she thinks she and Britney have shared a similar journey, Miley said: “Everyone goes through a time in their life where they don?t want their picture taken everyday. She just never had that time where she could say ‘I?m going through something right now and need to shut down’.
“I also don?t have that, so it?s good to have that one person in my life who gets it.”
Asked whether Britney has been a role model to her, 20-year-old Miley revealed: “I just think it?s never blaming you or making you feel like ?you?ve got all this going for you,? it?s like she knows. Sometimes life just steps in the middle of your career the way life always does for anyone – it?s just ours is a little more 24/7.”
[From HuffPo]
This seems sweet, right? I mean, Britney and Miley are both former child stars from the Disney fun-factory of doom, and I bet they could have conversations about their similar experiences. And I would be willing to be that Miley’s “going through something right now” has to do with the Liam Hemsworth mess as well as her parents’ constant habit of filing divorce papers and retracting them. It’s good if Miley has “that one person” whose experience mirrors her own in some ways, and I wouldn’t doubt that Miley could find comfort in Britney’s words. All the same, I remain slightly skeptical that Britney’s handlers even let her freely (and I mean without a chaperone) talk to Miley, who is clearly into the party scene, drugs, etc. Is this another Larry Rudolph scheme?
In other Miley news, she supposedly is the only person who found Nick Jonas’ hilarious shirtless selfie (complete with a million Instagram filters) to be “super hot.” Not hot enough to leave Liam, mind you. Also, Miley made out with a man dressed as a baby in London last week. Tongue and all. Gross.
Now and because I can’t resist, here are some stills from the director’s cut of the “We Can’t Stop” video. I know I mentioned this version of the video already, but honestly, can you see Britney’s team letting her hang out with … this?

Bless Larry Rudolph’s heart. The man has such a talent for smoke and mirrors that I keep forgetting that he has created the monster that is now the Miley Cyrus publicity machine. After all, Miley signed on with him way back in March, and ever since then, she’s been a fuzzy-diaper twerking force of unnatural proportions. Now get ready for this: Miley will soon appear on the Mike WiLL Made It “23? single (along with Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa), and Miley will be “kind of rapping.” I can’t wait to hear this one and to talk with you all about it.
For now though, Miley has settled back stateside after her whirlwind European press tour, and she has spoken to the Washington Post about — what else — growing up:
Miley Cyrus’ transformation from a sweet-faced child star into a twerking, wild-child sensation has garnered plenty of debate, but she says it’s not really all that deep – she just grew up, y’all.
“I think people forget what it feels like to be 20,” she said in a recent interview. “People just evolve and that’s all that’s happened to me. But people think a mad scientist somehow cooked up this potion and turned me in to a different human, which it wasn’t. All I did was get a haircut and buy some clothes and everyone thinks that I am made into a robot that changes with what’s popular every 10 years.”
Cyrus has raised eyebrows as she continues to distance herself from her former life as the star of the Disney show “Hannah Montana.” Now engaged to actor Liam Hemsworth, Cyrus is concentrating on her musical career and due to release an album in the fall.
Cyrus has one of the summer’s biggest hits with “We Can?t Stop”; it’s now No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. In the song’s video, which has reached 100 million views on YouTube, Cyrus dances suggestively amid bizarre imagery, including a skull made of french fries. Cyrus says the video was inspired by her own life and the wild parties she?s been at.
Besides, Cyrus says acting a little crazy can actually be good for the soul.
“That’s why I think some people kind of fall off and they end up going crazy because you don?t give yourself time to go crazy,” she said. “That’s what you’re supposed to do; you are 20, you are supposed to be a mess because you haven?t figured it out yet, and 10 years from now I am supposed to have it all together.”
[From Washington Post]
I actually don’t have a problem with Miley’s acting out other than her endorsement of illegal drugs as her proof of adulthood. The skimpy outfits and the try-hard behavior are just silly to me, but I see where she’s going with her argument about how she should be allowed to be a mess at age 20. However, there are millions of 20-year-old people out there who are attending college, holding down full-time jobs, and/or even risking their lives while defending their country. Miley has absolutely no concept of what pressures most 20-year-olds face.
Miley also talked to the Chicago Tribune about how she’s not “going off the rails“ at all: “I’m selling records and that’s all I’m here to do. I don’t care if people don’t like my haircut or think I dress too this way or my video’s too provocative.” She also cops an attitude about her past again: “You know, I built an entire empire for myself by the time that I was 11, but now I’m just the twerk queen.” Oh, really? Because the Disney Channel is the true builder of Miley’s empire. Sure, she was the cute kid who scored the role (never forget that Billy Ray was an attraction for producers as well) and put in the hours to film “Hannah Montana,” but Disney financed, produced, marketed, and otherwise built that “empire” that has allowed Miley to “twerk” to her heart’s content these days (and get paid for it). Damn, it’s getting difficult to even see where Miley’s coming from anymore. She doesn’t even write her own songs now but acts like she’s so authentic and hardcore about her “urban” music. It just doesn’t wash. I really miss the old Miley from as little as a year ago.
