Here is Miley Cyrus shielding her face with a heart-shaped Chanel clutch as she made her way into a recording studio in LA.
Cyrus is likely tired of the scrutiny that has resulted from her raunchy performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, though she insists that everyone is making too much of the incident.
Miley explained, “They’re overthinking it ? You’re thinking about it more than I thought about it when I did it. Like, I didn’t even think about it ’cause that’s just me.”

The tongue is back! Did you notice that we took a bit of a breather yesterday from the wall-to-wall Miley Cyrus coverage? In the meantime, the media frenzy surrounding the twerking seen ’round the world didn’t stop (and it won’t stop) because Miley was classy enough to flip off the paps on Labor Day. In addition, Vanity Fair chose to hilariously spoof Liam Hemsworth’s reaction to the VMAs and (in the process) basically call him a battery-powered robot. Finally, Dr. Laura Schlessinger has slammed Miley as “a disgusting little pig” as well as “a little miss piece of crap,” which is pretty rich coming from a woman that posed topless in her 20s. I won’t link the photos because — let’s face it — I love you guys. Nobody wants to see Dr. Laura’s knockers.
Rest assured though that Miley has inspired global-bound twerkout classes that promise to burn upwards of 500 calories per hour. If nothing else, we can all keep our girlish figures amidst this Cyrus frenzy in the lead up to the release of Bangerz in October.
Now Miley has given her first official interview since the VMA madness, and her sense of entitlement remains relatively unrivaled even within the realm of former child stars. This sense of arrogance is what disturbs me the most about Miley’s recent behavior. It’s not enough for her to beg for attention. She also has to insist that she’s living everyone’s dream because we’re all jealous of her childhood empire that she built all by herself (nevermind Disney’s instrumental involvement). Indeed, Miley fully views herself as an indispensible mover and shaker. In that spirit, she has told MTV that she fully intended to “make history” by grinding against Robin Thicke’s crotch. As such, she willingly compares herself to Madonna rolling around in a wedding dress in 1984 and Britney Spears dancing with a snake in 2001 (and for that matter, Britney shaking it in a nude bodysuit in 2000).
The delusions certainly run deep here. On the other hand, Miley does deliver confirmation about whether or not Robin Thicke was possibly conflicted over their act; and if she’s speaking the truth, then Robin was completely on board:
Miley & Robin’s joint goal at the VMAs: “Me and Robin [Thicke,] the whole time said, ‘You know we’re about to make history right now.’”
Miley is amused: “What’s amazing is I think now, we’re three days later and people are still talking about it. They’re over thinking it. You’re thinking about it more than I thought about it when I did it. Like, I didn’t even think about it ’cause that’s just me.”
She’s not worried at all: “I don’t pay attention to the negative because I’ve seen this play out so many times. How many times have we seen this play out in pop music? Madonna’s done it. Britney’s done it. Every VMA performance, that’s what you’re looking for; you’re wanting to make history.”

Sigh. This would have been a much better argument if Miley would have specified that she wanted to make a splash in “pop-culture history,” “music history” or even merely “MTV history.” Instead, she makes it sound like she broke down the Berlin wall or was the first woman to walk on the moon. Instead, Miley merely shook her booty. Enough said.
I also have to admit to finding Miley’s supposed ambivalence to all of our “over thinking” to be quite amusing considering that her own manager, Larry Rudolph, admitted that Miley was absolutely thrilled with the collective reaction to her gross twerking. Girlfriend has loved every second of this fallout, and she’s thinking about it just as much as the rest of us have been for well over a week.

?ain?t nobody got time for that #BS,? the 20-year-old entertainer tweeted that day, perhaps referring to the false interview quotes that have spread over the weekend.
She is not in the mood for any funny business. The singer was spotted outside of her recording studio in LA and she wasn?t very happy when photographers began taking her picture. That?s when she began waving her middle finger around, not seeming to care that they were taking her pic as she did committed the offensive gesture.

She?s no stranger to controversy, and it turns out Miley Cyrus' decision to give an overtly sexual showing at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards was a calculated move.
The ?Hannah Montana? babe noted that her duet with Robin Thicke on his summer hit ?Blurred Lines? was created to make history.
Miley explained, ?I don?t pay attention to the negative because I?ve seen this play out so many times. How many times have we seen this play out in pop music??
Cyrus continued, "Madonna's done it. Britney's done it. Every VMA performance, that's what you're looking for; you're wanting to make history."
"Me and Robin the whole time said, 'You know we're about to make history right now.' What's amazing is I think now, we're three days later and people are still talking about it. Many saw her 2013 MTV Video Music Awards performance as a cry for help from a troubled young girl, and now Miley Cyrus admits that things aren?t exactly honky dory in her life.
Over the weekend, the ?Party in the USA? songstress admitted to Sunday People that she?s in a rough place these days.
Cyrus stated, ?I have so many f**king issues. I am so f**ked up -? everyone does dumb stuff when they are messed up. I don?t have a normal life. I take a hiatus every now and again, but I?m not good at that.?
?All I do is work, so I eat to live and to keep going. People are impressed with me because I can sleep for just 45 minutes -- I?m used to it. Because I work so much, I?m always on the road so I eat healthily. I have to give my body what it needs to keep going and if you don?t then you will crash and burn. I don?t get to work out. I do yoga and 30 push-ups every day and try to get my mind right.?

These are some more photos from Miley’s recent shoot with Notion magazine — the one that was accompanied by a pretty awful interview in which she said “You think I’m a rachet white girl, but I’m living everyone’s dream.” The rest of this shoot is highly photoshopped and features an impossibly smooth Miley booty and an outfit that shows off absolutely everything except that the nips and the vadge have been airbrushed out. Still, some blurring was essential.
Meanwhile (and much to the chagrin of Lady Gaga’s art, there’s still plenty of lingering controversy over Miley’s VMA performance. Harry Styles gave an interview to Moviefone in which he insists that Miley’s onstage twerking was obscene: “I think it’s quite inappropriate. Especially for the age groups it?s aimed at. I think it’s, you know, promoting promiscuity.” I hate to say that Harry has a point here because no matter how Miley insists that her twerking and drug lyrics are evidence that she’s all grown up, her teddy bear and balloon motifs speak to the contrary. She’s aiming for a young audience with that imagery, and adding the twerking to the mix is gross.
Now the Mirror has released a semi-new interview with Miley that was conducted during last month’s UK media blitz, but the themes are quite familiar:
She admits to being a mess: “I?m messed up. I have so many f—ing issues. I am so f—ed up ? everyone does dumb stuff when they are messed up. I don’t have a normal life. I take a hiatus every now and again but I?m not good at that.”
It’s all down to her work ethic: “All I do is work, so I eat to live and to keep going. People are impressed with me - because I can sleep for just 45 minutes — I?m used to it. I suppose I am a workhorse. I love being in the studio and when I take vacation I get so bored. I think of work as something I have to do. I’ve made a record so I have to promote it so I have to work to get it done — and then pass out.”
But she takes care of herself: “Because I work so much, I’m always on the road so I eat healthily. I have to give my body what it needs to keep going and if you don?t then you will crash and burn. I love soda (fizzy drinks) but I haven?t had one since I?ve been here in the UK. If I have a Coke I?m going to be ‘Aaargh!’ and in an hour I?ll crash. I don?t get to work out. I do yoga and 30 push-ups every day and try to get my mind right.”
Enough with the Disney sh-t: “During Hannah Montana I think people knew I was acting. I?ve never been able to hide anything, a bit like Justin Bieber. Others who have been on kids’ shows try to act like their characters — but I?m not like that. I never pretended I was as good as the Disney Channel writes. I don’t wear bright-coloured T-shirts and talk like this all the time.”

I don’t understand how Miley claims she doesn’t “get to work out” just because she’s been travelling a lot. Tell that to Madonna, who has exercise equipment delivered to every hotel room that she’s ever graced. I think Miley really does work out a lot and probably just pretends that maintaining a gluten-free diet is all she does to stay thin.
As Miley mentions in this interview, she gave this talk to the Mirror in August when she was promoting “We Can’t Stop” like crazy, but she’s been back in the States for weeks. Guess who’s in London now without Miley? Liam Hemsworth. Earlier today, Kaiser posted photos of lonely Liam out at a nightclub with Chris and Elsa Pataky. I wonder if they were giving him a peptalk in light of his mortification. How many rumored interventions can be staged before this dude finally breaks up with her?

Dismissing all the VMA performance haters, Miley Cyrus stuck her tongue out at cameramen in Toluca Lake, California on Saturday morning (August 31).
The "We Can't Stop" singer rocked a sleeveless white crop top and red Adidas track pants as she gave a peace sign with her tongue defiantly out and proud.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the celeb backlash is mounting against the 20-year-old former Disney darling.
Recently, One Direction's Harry Styles took issue with her raunchy moves, calling it "inappropriate," and saying, "When they're twerking, yes. I think it's, you know, promoting promiscuity."
