Lauren Conrad married her dude! LC and William Tell got married in California on Saturday. I went looking for wedding photos on her site but couldn?t find any, although I was reminded of how great LC?s site is compared to Blake Lively?s Preserve. You can actually find what you?re looking for at Laurenconrad.com. Anyway, LC did everything her way, which is good because I often got the impression that it wasn?t so much about marrying the man of her dreams as it was about planning a great wedding and marketing mid-market wedding crap.
LC is married! Lauren Conrad and William Tell have officially tied the knot, her rep exclusively confirms to Us Weekly. The pair said “I do” in an intimate ceremony in front of close friends and family along the coast of California on Saturday, Sept. 13.
“What a perfect way to start our lives together; surrounded by the people we love most,” the happy couple tell Us in a statement.
Conrad, 28, and Tell, 34, met on Valentine’s Day during a blind date set up by mutual friends in 2012. “My family loves him, so they love when we come to visit,” Conrad told Us at Downy’s Pop-Up Laundromat event in NYC that June. “We spend a lot of weekends there hanging out by the pool and doing nothing.”
Wedding planning, however, would soon fill up Conrad’s downtime. The former Laguna Beach and The Hills star announced in October 2013 that Tell popped the question — also showing off her new round cut diamond engagement ring. “I am very excited to share with you guys that William and I got engaged over the weekend,” she gushed. “I am beyond thrilled!”
Within the next year the couple celebrated Conrad’s 28th birthday with a hoedown-themed party, took a spin on Alice in Wonderland’s Mad Tea Party ride during a visit to Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif., enjoyed their two-year anniversary and celebrated Tell’s graduation from law school at the University of Southern California in May. The pair took an adorable snapshot together at the time with Conrad dressed in her beau’s school robes.
Leaving the cap and gown behind, the Paper Crown fashion designer and best-selling author then jetted off to Mexico for a four-day bachelorette party with her closest girlfriends in June. The group sipped on cocktails and tanned beachside, tagging photos via Instagram with the hashtag #donttellmrtell. With just weeks away from the wedding, Conrad was the guest of honor at an elegant and classy bridal shower at her L.A. home over the Labor Day weekend.

Lo Bosworth was one of the nine bridesmaids, just FYI. LC designed all of the bridesmaids? dresses, and I guess she maybe designed her wedding dress too?
As for whether this will last? I don?t know. They?ve been together for two and a half years. He recently graduated from law school and I hope he actually pursues a career in law and he doesn?t just join LC?s business. Lauren doesn?t post many photos of him on her Instagram, but maybe that?s a good thing? Maybe they actually have a great relationship and they just don?t feel the need to show us everything. In any case, congrats to LC and William Tell.

I was reading about Lauren Conrad last night (don?t ask) and I made a mental note of the fact that she?s gearing up for her wedding to some guy. As I said during the coverage of her engagement announcement, it?s possible that she?s marrying Some Guy because they?re really and truly in love. It?s also possible that she?s getting married because she wanted to do a line of weddings gowns, bridal jewelry and bridesmaids dresses. With that in mind, LC covers the new issue of Martha Stewart Weddings and they?ve done a big article about LC?s new line of bridesmaid dresses, LC?s plans for her NINE bridesmaids and if you can find a reference to Some Guy in here at all, I?ll pay you ten dollars.
On Asking Her ?Maids: ?My jewelry team at Kohl?s made me necklaces. We found this little diamond ring piece that looks just like my ring, so I did rose gold necklaces for everybody and then sent it with a will-you-be-my-bridesmaid? card.?
On Choosing a Dress Style: ?I sent them all the different shapes and let them pick from two colors. I don?t mind if there are a few girls in the same dress, or if people are all in different ones. It?s too difficult to take a group of girls and put them in the same color and silhouette; everyone has their own style.?
On Picking a Palette: ?They?re all wearing the same two colors, so it?s all the same color scheme. I don?t think it needs to look too cohesive. They?re all individuals, so it?s nice that it doesn?t look too uniform.?
On Skirt Length: ?I?m okay with different lengths?it just depends on the look that you?re going for. In our collection, we?re only doing a few dresses that aren?t long. We?re doing full-length, a couple midi, and then we have a couple to-the-knee. We didn?t really go shorter than that because it doesn?t really feel appropriate, and if that?s what you want, then you can always shorten the dress.?
On Day-Of Hairstyles: ?I?m letting the girls do whatever they want. Again, I think that weddings are about celebrating, and you want everyone to feel comfortable, so I think it?s about whatever is going to make them feel pretty. Understated is always best, so I think trying to go more classic is always a nice choice because you don?t want anybody to stand out in a negative way.?
On Bridesmaid Nails: ?I was thinking about doing a gift bag and just including a pale Pink or a nude in there. We?ll see if I get around to that. I think that?s a nice way to suggest, like, ?Here?s a pretty color for you.? Yeah, that might actually be a good call because some of my friends will probably have navy or dark nails!?
[From Martha Stewart Weddings]
To her credit, the bridesmaid dresses are cute and I?m sure they?re pretty affordable. LC shilled her line on her website too ? go here to see. Nothing too fancy, nothing too trashy. Perfectly nice. And I like the detail about sending her bridesmaids diamond necklaces too ? that?s a really nice touch. So? congrats to LC overall. But I still think it?s sort of funny that she cares more about her girls and her business than her groom. Maybe that makes her sort of awesome.

Before long she?ll be Mrs. William Tell, but before Lauren Conrad walks down the aisle, she?s focused on looking her best.
The 28-year-old reality television star/fashion designer/author encourages young brides to think outside the traditional gym parameters to find alternative ways to be active.
Conrad confesses, "I'm not a huge fan of the gym, to be honest. When I have to go to the gym and put an hour in, I'm just staring at the clock. I just like getting out, like going on a hike, going on the kayaks, going for a run on the beach."
Furthermore, she?s not exactly a proponent of starvation regimens. "I really love food. I'm not good at dieting. I try to make smart choices but just eat a little bit less."
She adds, "I am all for body confidence, but I am even more for living a healthy lifestyle. Treat your body right, exercise, eat healthy, and then feeling confident in your bikini."

Of all the women from The Hills, Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari seem to be the only ones with staying power. Audrina Patridge still shows up on gentlemen’s blogs with her killer bikini body, but we haven’t heard much about her otherwise. Once in a while there will be a story about Whitney Port, Lo Bosworth or Stephanie Pratt. And of course Heidi Montag was the biggest flame-out with her sad and bizarre tale of unnecessary plastic surgery, ridiculous overspending and a gross overestimation of her meager talent. In contrast, Lauren Conrad has written a few books, she’s done her lifestyle stuff and collaborated with Kohl’s without pushing it in our faces, and she’s won the race, slow and steady.
Here is Lauren looking lovely on the cover of April’s Allure. I really like her styling. She looks like one of Sean Connery’s Bond girls. Plus they’re making her look sexy without showing too much skin. Inside, Lauren gives some beauty and lifestyle advice and it’s all very breezy and easy to follow. Here’s some of what she said and I’m including quotes from her behind the scenes interview, available on E!:
She doesn’t wear eyeshadow and does a winged look with liquid eyeliner
I use Mark. I order them in bulk and keep them in my refrigerator. I go through one a month. My favorite mascara is Maybelline Full and Soft. I’ve used it forever.
She always uses hair extensions
I can’t remember the last time I didn’t have extensions. Extensions are great. And they’ve come so far in the last few years.
Her decorating style
If it was up to me, my home would be just over-the-top girlie and vintage, but I share my home with a gentleman now. I wanted [the bedroom] to be very calm. Your bed is for sleep and sex.
Her beauty and skincare routine
I think that the last year I’ve tried to just make it easy… I trade off between a really gentle cleanser and an exfoliant and then egyptian magic which is just amazing… I put it on all over my skin.
Her advice to keep it simple
I’ve learned just to pick one thing and go with it. If you’re going to do something a little crazier with your hair, just dial down your makeup. I think the same goes for your outfit. If you’re wearing something very simple then you can have a little more fun there [with your makeup]. I think it’s all just a balancing act when you’re putting your look together.
On her style
Take any trend you want and relax it. If it’s silk button-up shirts that are in, you probably don’t button them all the way, and you cuff a sleeve, you know what I mean? It’s almost like how your outfit looks at the end of the day.
[From Allure, E! and US Magazine]
Lauren is just very matter-of-fact and open, and you get the sense when she gives advice that you’re talking to your fashionable friend who doesn’t seem like she tries too hard. In a behind-the-scenes video available on E!, Lauren said that she does her own nails and doesn’t get manicures, but that she’ll get a pedicure. She also talked a little about wedding day beauty when she was asked about it, demurring at first because she hasn’t gone through it yet but then giving practical advice not to do anything daring on your big day. That makes me wonder when Lauren is going to get married. She’s been engaged to musician William Tell since last October, and sources claim she’s planning a fall wedding.
You can see more from Lauren’s photo shoot on Allure.com and E! has an exclusive behind-the-scenes video.

She's come a long way from her former "Laguna Beach" days, and now Lauren Conrad discusses her new life chapter in the April 2014 issue of Allure magazine

Highlights from Miss Conrad's interview are as follows. For more, be sure to pay a visit to Allure!
On her reality star days:
"Doing reality television for such a long time made a big different. People were in my bedroom. You have to represent yourself well no matter what you do."
On her home decor:
"If it were up to me, my home would be just over-the-top girlie and vintage, but I share my home with a gentleman now."
On her work from home views:

Lauren Conrad covers the January issue of Cosmo. It?s basically just a celebration of her engagement, which? sure, that?s fine. In the past, I?ve made fun of Lauren?s ?career? as a mass-market fashion designer and lifestyle queen, but yesterday I was in Kohl?s and I spend a lot of time looking at LC?s jewelry collection, and it?s really pretty. I can?t vouch for the quality or anything, but her jewelry collection is beautiful and it?s perfect for young women or women who don?t like big, garish ?statement? pieces. Kohl?s carried her mass-market fashion line too, and some of the sweaters were really cute. I?m just saying? I might have to give LC some credit. Her stuff is nice. Anyway, you can read LC?s Cosmo piece here, and here are some highlights:
On her engagement to fianc, musician and law student William Tell: ?I had no idea it was coming. I thought he would wait until he finished law school.?
On her engagement ring: ?He didn?t even ask my friends, which was a bold move. He said, ?I know you, and I know what you like.? And I love it. It?s perfect.?
Cosmo: You?re engaged! What would you say to readers who feel pressure to get that ring?
LC: ?You have the rest of your life to be married. Enjoy falling in love. When girls get caught up in the timeline, it becomes more about the wedding than the marriage. You should be with someone with whom you could elope this weekend and be happy.?
Cosmo: What tells you it?s time to settle down with one guy?
LC: ?William hates it when I say this, but he really is a very nice guy, and when you meet a nice guy who also manages to keep your interest, that is the dream? If you?re going to settle down, it should be with someone you can?t stop thinking about. Especially if you?re in your 20s. If I were single in my 60s, I would totally settle. I would!?
Cosmo: What?s the biggest mistake you?ve made with friends?
LC: ?Being on television all those years, I got to view my own behavior. One thing I realized is that I was too hard on my friends when it came to guys. Instinctually, I wanted to protect them. But then you come off as judge-y and people are reluctant to come to you with a problem. I had to cut ?I told you so? from my vocabulary.?
Cosmo: What is the best way to fall in love with your body?
LC: ?I?m so jealous of people who completely love their bodies. I think most women have trouble areas as well as areas that they like. So you play up your favorite parts and learn to dress around the others. I used to hate my legs, but now I always wear minis. It was an accident. In an effort to look taller, I started wearing really high heels with shorter skirts and ended up showing off my legs a lot.?
[From Cosmopolitan]
I kind of admire her honesty: ?I thought he would wait until he finished law school.? Meaning, I guess, that she was expecting a proposal but she was prepared to wait until he finished law school. What do you think of this though? ?When you meet a nice guy who also manages to keep your interest, that is the dream? Especially if you?re in your 20s.? I think it?s awkwardly worded and maybe she doesn?t mean to make it sound like she?s marrying the first ?nice guy? who asked her? Because I kind of think she?s just marrying the first nice guy who asked her. And I think she?s doing it to extend her lifestyle brand into wedding crap.

Believe it or not, I kind of like Lauren Conrad. I think that?s the point, right? She?s so blandly inoffensive that most people are like, ?Yeah, she?s okay. I don?t actively dislike her.? So I imagine that many people will be moderately happy for Lauren now ? she?s engaged to her boyfriend of ?? about a year I guess, William Tell. It?s not like people really know who is and it?s not like it really matters, I guess. Lauren strikes me as the kind of girl who just wanted to get married. She was looking for an inoffensive dude to marry. And she found him. Congrats!
Tell is a musician ? you can see his Wiki page here. My guess is that he doesn?t really do that much these days besides ?date LC? but you never know. In an interesting turn of events, LC got engaged the same weekend that her first boyfriend, Jason Wahler, got married. Nice timing, LC. It?s feeling a bit like Jessica Simpson or Kaley Cuoco in here.
Wonderfully enough, LC posted this message on her blog, along with a photo of her engagement ring:
I am very excited to share with you guys that William and I got engaged over the weekend. I am beyond thrilled! Get ready for lots more wedding content here on LaurenConrad.com as we begin the planning process.
UPDATE: William and I are overwhelmed by all of your warm wishes. Thank you so much for sharing in this special moment
XO Lauren
[From LC?s blog]
Does anyone else think it?s hilarious that she can?t simply announce her engagement, that she has to shill while announcing her engagement? ?Get ready for lots more wedding content here on LaurenConrad.com as we begin the planning process.? And that?s what it was all about. Did she want to get married? Sure. But she REALLY wanted to plan a wedding a extend her lifestyle brand to wedding crap.
Her ring is pretty? but it?s just like her, kind of bland.

Doing some late-night traveling, Lauren Conrad flew from Los Angeles to New York City on Sunday (October 6).
Make-up free, the former reality star encountered the paparazzi at JFK Airport in a fuzzy tan sweater, blue skinnies, and brown ankle boots as she headed outside with her luggage.
This year, the 27-year-old fashion fiend is holding her annual DIY Halloween Costume Contest on LaurenConrad.com.
After gushing about last year's top three, L.C. added, "Since my fabulous members always set the bar high, I know that this year will be no exception. I can wait to be wowed by all of your amazing submissions!"
