The National Enquirer ran a story over two years ago that Jenny McCarthy was in talks with Oprah for a talk show deal. It’s wasn’t just The Enquirer, either, The Hollywood Reporter ran a similar story in May, 2009 claiming that McCarthy had “inked a multi-year overall deal with Winfrey?s Harpo Prods. to develop projects on different platforms, including a syndicated talk show that the actress/author would host.” Supporting these stories was a new blog that Jenny started that was hosted on Oprah’s website. Only that was just about the last we heard about a McCarthy Oprah collaboration apart from some rumors.
I was honestly just thinking about this a couple of weeks ago when I wrote about how Neil Patrick Harris might get a talkshow with Oprah. According to Bill Zwecker at the Chicago Sun Times, Jenny’s talks with Oprah stalled and she eventually pulled out of the potential deal. After over two years that sounds pretty reasonable. Zwecker has “a number of sources” who have told him that Jenny is now trying to work with NBC to get something off the ground.
Apparently due to those old ?creative differences,? South Side native Jenny McCarthy pulled the plug on her development deal for a talk show on Winfrey?s new network ? and reportedly will take the concept to NBC.
Now, I want to stress that the Peacock Network?s representative would not admit any McCarthy tie to NBC, saying only, ?We do not comment on projects in development.?
However, a number of sources have confirmed the actress, autism advocate and Mother McAuley High School grad believes her talks with NBC will get her show on the air quickly ? and showcased to a far larger audience than she would have had at OWN.
The Winfrey-owned network did issue a curt confirmation that ?OWN does not have a show in development with Jenny McCarthy.?
I also understand that Winfrey and her OWN team are deeply disappointed by McCarthy?s impatience with the rate of progress in developing the new program.
?OWN clearly needs a big infusion of compelling programming if it?s going to begin to build a decent-sized audience, but Jenny should have thought twice ? or three or four times! ? before burning a bridge with Oprah,? said a veteran TV exec, very knowledgeable about OWN, Winfrey?s organizational process and her production team.

That’s probably pretty smart of Jenny. Yes no one should burn bridges with The Mighty O, but really how well is OWN going to do? Jenny is better off going to an established network where she’ll have a wider viewership. NBC isn’t very skilled at promoting or giving its best shows a fighting chance, but surely it’s better than OWN. As for how well Jenny will do as a talk show host that remains to be seen. She’s a goof ball with some pretty controversial ideas about healthcare to say the least. She’s entertaining though and she seems to be able to hold her own.

Eager to draw as much attention as possible as she readies for the release of her directorial debut, Jenny McCarthy proudly showed off her bikini body in Miami, FL on Saturday afternoon (March 12).
Joined by her sister Joanne and a hunky male friend, the former Playboy beauty looked amazing in a tiny black bikini and a black hat as she soaked up the rays from a relaxing beach lounge chair.
As for her career efforts, Miss McCarthy directed and starred in a short cruise ship based film for Royal Caribbean called "The Allure of Love".
Jenny stars as a character named Annie, who is "one half of a pair of star-crossed exes whose friends have taken it upon themselves to reunite them -- if only social media doesn't get in the way first."
With James Brolin also creating a similar short film titled "Royal Reunion," the pair of offerings will be available on Royal Caribbean's website beginning Sunday (March 13) at 4PM.

Calling it quits after a few short months, Jenny McCarthy has broken up with her sports-agent boyfriend.
According to Life & Style, the infamous Playmate broke up with Paul Krepelka because the ?long-distance thing proved too much for them, and they just mutually decided that it wasn?t going to work.?
A source continued, "He didn't want to move to LA, and she certainly can't move to Boston. They're still friends; they just couldn't make it work."
The couple first met on a blind date and took their relationship public when Jenny and Paul locked lips at midnight on the New Year?s Rockin? Eve TV special.

Whenever Jenny McCarthy gets a new boyfriend, it seems the press hears about it. She was with Jim Carrey for years, and then dated some famewhore bodybuilder guy, right around the time her new book came out. She dumped the bodybuilder in December and found a new guy just in time to kiss her at midnight during her gig hosting New Year’s Rocking eve. Jenny may roll these guys out to the press after three dates, but she told Ellen Degeneres that she doesn’t introduce any boyfriends to her son Evan, 7, until after she’s dated them for six months. Good for her. Jenny also explained that she met her new boyfriend on a blind date that her sister set up for her, and that she went through a few duds before she found him.
Ellen: Now, how long have you been seeing Paul?
Jenny: For like, 5 weeks, I think it’s been.
Ellen: What do you mean, “I think?” At that point, you know exactly how many days.
Jenny: Okay, it’s like 36 days and two hours but I decided to import this time because I wasn’t doing a very good job with LA guys. These LA dudes had more make up in
their purse than me. They’d literally pull out their knapsack of concealers and I’m like, it’s time to look outside of LA. I found a boy. I went on some blind dates. He was my 5th blind date.
Ellen: Who set you up on blind dates?
Jenny: I told everyone I know, “Please, I can’t pick them. As a friend, find me a man.” So the first blind dates were these really bizarre dudes that were like, “Do you know Sharon Stone?” And I’m sitting on a date going, “Well, I know of her. I’ve seen her in movies.” “Well, you think you can get an autograph?” I’m like, “Oh my god.”
Ellen: What kind of friend set you up with that guy?
Jenny: Not a very good one. So my sister was the one who turned me on to Paul who’s a sports agent and lives in Boston. His accent is so strong it’s like Good Will Hunting strong that I really can’t understand anything he says to me. He could’ve proposed to me and I could’ve said yes by now and I have no idea. And I’m really happy.
Ellen: So he lives in Boston so you went on a date here or there? He came here?
Jenny: No, we met up in New York. We had a blind date there. You know that movie, “Up in The Air?”
Ellen: That’s what’s happening?
Jenny: We’ve been meeting up in the air in both cities and trying to make it work.
Ellen: So you’re very happy it seems.
Jenny: I am. I feel content. Everybody’s asking me the magic question, “Has he met [son] Evan?” Evan is, by the way, on the strictest VIP meet and greet which is like 6 months. I don’t have guys meeting him on a cycle. That boy is very important to me.
Ellen: Good, because that would be very confusing for him.
Jenny: It would be.

That’s great that Jenny makes sure a relationship is stable before bringing the new guy around her son. I wonder, though, what she does with Evan while she’s jetting all over the place to meet up with this new guy. She probably has a nanny who can watch Evan at home so it’s not disruptive to him and he can stay in school.
I don’t think Jenny is dating too much for a single mom, as much as she’d probably like us to think she is. She’s trying to find the right guy for her, and that involves getting out there and meeting people. Her mistake isn’t dating, it’s telling the press every time she sleeps with a guy. That’s better than bringing him around as another dad or “uncle” to her son, though. If Kate Hudson followed this rule her son would never meet her boyfriends.

Ready for one of the biggest night's in the music world, Jenny McCarthy made her arrival to the 2010 American Music Awards in Los Angeles, California on Sunday evening (November 21).
Turning up at the Nokia Theatre LA Live venue, the former Playboy babe looked fantastic as she worked her way down the red carpet and inside for the night's ceremony which airs live on ABC at 8/7c.
During the course of the show, performers at the 2010 AMAs include the likes of Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Ke$ha and Christina Aguilera, among others.
Meanwhile, Miss McCarthy took the stage as a presenter, joining fellow celebs dishing out trophies including Mandy Moore, Jessica Alba, Nicki Minaj and Willow Smith.

So I guess since I don’t feel sorry for Jenny McCarthy because she’s a vapid bimbo, I’m supposed to feel sorry for her because she had a boob job without painkillers. I’m not even convinced that her brain is developed enough to process pain. Digital Spy says,
Jenny McCarthy has recalled waking up during her first breast augmentation after the surgeon did not administer anaesthetic.
According toWENN, the actress said that she went to a cut-price doctor for the procedure and subsequently had to have the work redone after the horror of waking up while being operated on.
McCarthy explained: “Me and my friends found a doctor in Arizona that cost about $1,500 (943) to get our boobs done – because they didn’t use anaesthesia and I didn’t know it!
“I’m laying there during surgery and I’m going, ‘Wow, I’m having a remarkable dream about getting a boob job while I’m getting a boob job!’ And I’m thinking, ‘I can think of the names of the tools that they’re passing back and forth’, and, ‘Oh my God, this is a remarkable lucid dream!’
“And then I open my eyes and oh my God – this is real! I look down and there was one boob done.
“I said, ‘What is going on? Oh my God, I’m awake!’ And [the doctor] said, ‘I know, we only have one boob left, just hang in there’. I had to get them redone.”
Saving money by buying a jug of the store brand of milk=smart. Saving money by getting your jugs done by some med school dropout=not so smart. Just ask Tara Reid.

Enjoying the sunshine, Jenny McCarthy was spotted out with her new boyfriend Jason Toohey in Miami, Florida today (October 15).
The ?Singled Out? hottie and the former fitness model both looked fabulous in their swim suits as they relaxed on the beach while the shutterbugs snapped up pictures.
And though she split with Jim Carrey earlier this year, Jenny says she doesn?t blame the ?Liar Liar? actor for the breakup.
"There's not really much I can say because I respect his privacy, other than if I blamed him for any part of the breakup, I lose the lesson. You lose the lessons of your last relationship if you put the blame on the other person. We're friendly, we ended in peace."

Making a promotional appearance earlier this morning (October 4), Jenny McCarthy paid a visit to ?Good Day L.A.? at FOX 11 Los Angeles.
The outspoken blonde looked cute in gray/blue slacks and a black shirt as sat down for a sit-down interview and, at one point, gave the audience a look at her back tattoo.
Ms McCarthy has been making promo stops to discuss her brand new book called ?Love, Lust & Faking It.?
In another interview on ?The Early Show,? Jenny admitted that she herself is specifically working on being her true self, especially now that Jenny is in the beginning stages of a new relationship with former fitness model Jason Toohey.
