Last week Jenny McCarthy told the story, to US Weekly, about how she explained the birds and bees to her son Evan, 12. As is her style, Jenny gave some embarrassing details to the press. She said that Evan thought that sex was like footrubs (because she had told him that earlier) and that she found thousands of photos of foot rubs on his iPad. I was cringing for Jenny’s son. No kid needs to have those very personal details of their lives made public. That’s something that will be online forever, and Jenny is revealing it for a snippet of press. It’s not at all considerate of Evan’s feelings and right to privacy.
Fast forward to now and Jenny is again sharing another story that makes me feel for Evan. She said, on The View, that Evan is being deliberately ignored and bullied at camp but that he doesn’t realize it. Evan is autistic, but is she sure that he doesn’t know he’s being bullied? Evan may or may not be aware that he’s being taunted, but thanks to his mom countless other people do.
McCarthy claimed on The View that Asher is unaware of the bullying, because his autism makes it difficult for him to pick up on social cues. She said she was made aware of the situation when the camp sent her an email explaining that Evan?s ?friends? are actually teasing and laughing at him ? not with him.
?My son?s main goal is to make as many friends as possible,? McCarthy explained. ?I said, ?You have to find the kids that like you and are nice to you. Who do you sit next to in the cafeteria?? And he said, ?No one. I ask, and they say no.??
On the upside, the boy isn?t hurt by the grim situation. His mother went on explaining, ?It?s so wonderful that he?s not aware that the kids are making fun of him. But at what point do I need to teach him that? Do I just let him be??
Fellow host Whoopi Goldberg offered her opinion, suggesting that McCarthy have a conversation with the children?s parents, making them aware of their kids? behavior.
McCarthy has had her own experience with bullying.
She confessed to Ellen DeGeneres on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2010, ?I would have girls wait for me outside of school with pipes to beat me up? during middle school.
Things escalated quickly in high school where the girls ?were throwing pies at my face, pulling out my hair and spitting on me,? she claimed. McCarthy almost didn?t receive her diploma due to poor attendance because she was so terrified of the bullying.
[From Radar Online]
Some people commenting on Radar are blaming Jenny for sending Evan to a mainstream camp where he’s not supported by staff, but I wouldn’t fault her for that. Bullying at camp can be hard to predict ahead of time, and it sounds like the staff is trying to stay on top of it. I blame Jenny for again compromising her son’s privacy to have a semi-interesting story to tell on her talkshow. Oversharing is her schtick, but she should not be subjecting her tween to that. Kids that age are very easily embarrassed. While Evan may seem like he’s oblivious to it, it’s still massively unfair to him. Whether he realizes or not at this point, there may come a day when he finds unflattering stories of his childhood online.
Also, those same kids who are now shunning Evan could just as easily be taunting him about his footrub fascination. Because his mom told everyone all about it.

| Jenny McCarthy on having 'the talk' with her son: he thought sex was like foot rubs | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Jenny McCarthy’s Sirius XM hour-long weekly radio show, Dirty, Sexy, Funny premiered last night. When I first saw this article, I assumed Jenny shared this story on her talkshow, but that wasn’t the case. Jenny told this highly personal story to US Magazine about giving her son ‘the talk.’ She said that the subject came up when her son Evan, 12, saw a viral video of a woman giving birth (I think it’s this video, the key part around 6:30 is censored). Evan had a lot of questions and she had to clear up some misconceptions she’d given him.
When asked about her most recent parenting milestones, Donnie Wahlberg’s fiance admitted: “I just had the birds and the bees talk.” The irreverent blonde went on to say it all happened after her son watched a viral video of a woman giving birth.
“He watched that recent video of that dad driving his wife to the hospital who was going to have a baby ? She?s screaming bloody murder and he was like, ‘What?s going on? What?s going on?’ And I?m like, ‘This woman is having a baby.’ And he was so tortured by it that I had to sit down and give him the birds and the bees talk,? the Singled Out hostess recalled.
The talk couldn’t have waited much longer. “I kind of knew it was time because I accidentally told him ? that sex was like feet rubs,” McCarthy explained. “And I looked on his iPad and there were 2,000 pics of foot rubs and I?m like, ‘Oh my god, he?s going to have a foot fetish for the rest of his life!’ So I just sat down and had the real heart-to-heart talk with him.”
The former MTV host, who is set to wed Blue Bloods star Wahlberg “soon,” admitted “it was difficult ? but being the kind of single mom I?ve been, I?ve had to wear two hats and I?m proud to say that Evan will never be having sex for the rest of his life after my conversation,” she laughed.
So what exactly did she divulge to her son?
“I talked about kind of the physical part. I?m like, ‘You know how you?re talking about things happening?’ I?m like, ‘This is what your body is going to want to do and it?s normal but your body can?t yet because you?re too young,’ and he was horrified,” McCarthy said, “which is exactly what I wanted him to be but I can?t even imagine.”
The loving mom added she simply just wants her son to “always want that open discussion,” and to know “he can come to me with whatever he wants always and I will never get mad at him.”
[From US Magazine]
I don’t think 12 is too young to explain things to a kid. They’re going to hear about it and it’s better that you explain it to them, and that they know they can talk to you about it. What bothers me about this story is the fact that her son has an iPad with which he’s doing things she doesn’t know about. It sounds like she just lets her son use an iPad whenever, although she may have restrictions set on it. Given what she’s said about her son being able to “find worse things on the Internet” than just nude photos of her, I doubt it. You want to trust your kids but it takes 5 seconds to google, so I think it’s better to set it up so they’re safe. (Netnanny is good for personal computers.)
Also, this story is potentially mortifying to her son! Evan is going to really start googling soon, and he’ll realize that his mom told everyone he thought sex was like foot rubs. I wouldn’t even put something like that on Facebook because I think it’s too personal, but Jenny is famous because of her brash personality. She has different standards for TMI. I’m sure this isn’t the most embarrassing thing she’s done to her kid this week.

Jenny McCarthy announced yesterday that she’s getting a live one hour weekly show on Sirius radio following her departure from The View. It’s called Dirty, Sexy, Funny, and it will be a “limited run” show that Jenny promises will be raunchy. The PR release from Sirius promised the show would have such guests as Chelsea Handler, Perez Hilton and Jenny’s fiance, Donnie Wahlberg. The first episode will air this week.
When both Jenny and Sherri Shepherd revealed last month that they were leaving the show, they made it sound like it was their idea instead of admitting that they were let go to make room for new blood. (Specifically Rosie O’Donnell and probably someone else too.) That’s their prerogative of course, and a lot of celebrities do that, but it comes off as insincere. Now Jenny is claiming that she had the idea to leave The View months ago, which could be true but I call BS. In a new interview on Howard Stern, she also revealed that she’s marrying Donnie Wahlberg within the next couple of months in a smallish wedding with around 80 guests.
Stern went on to ask the 41-year-old about her stint on the talk show, which ABC announced on June 26 she’d be leaving after only one season as a co-host. “The most rewarding [part of being on The View] has definitely been working with Barbara Walters for a year, I mean work[ing] under her and just ? asking her questions backstage has been the most intriguing thing,” she told the radio host.
As for if she was “fired,” McCarthy answered, “Yes and no,” adding, “If I wanted to stay with Rosie [O'Donnell] and I was a Republican, I would still be there right now.”
The former MTV host went on to admit she felt like she wasn’t able to be her true self at the round table.
“I?ll tell you something Howard, it?s like halfway into it, it was probably around February, I went, ‘God I?m not allowed to be the best of me here,’ I feel like to have a voice, to be able to speak without having to interrupt people? It?s very difficult, and I don?t like doing it, it?s very uncomfortable, so I felt like, ‘You know what? Maybe this is just a stepping stone for me to go somewhere where I can actually be my full self.’”
“Since Barbara left, I?ve been able to be more of myself,” she added, “I get a little bit more space, but I still hate, hate, hate the interrupting part.”
[From US Weekly]
Jenny had a talkshow on VH1 with much the same premise before she was hired by The View. It’s not like that went anywhere. Maybe radio is the place for her, though.
E! has more details from Jenny’s interview, including Jenny’s claims that she was celibate for a year before hooking up with Donnie and that “I went through probably 400 vibrators [in that time] No men. Its like the same movie, different actors. I realized I had to reset.” So she found Donnie after her grueling year as a sexually frustrated talk show host and she’s marrying him very soon. That’s going to backfire.

In case you’ve been wondering what Jenny McCarthy is up to these days, you’re in luck: because besides looking almost as hot as she did a few decades ago, she apparently hosted something called the “Ultimate Pool Party” over the weekend. Although if you ask me, it’s not really technically the “ultimate” pool party without […]

| Jenny McCarthy: 'When I?m 60, I want to still have a face that moves' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|

|
|
Jenny McCarthy really needs to stop with the Botox. Her face is getting that cat-like ?mask? quality that you see a lot in women who regularly abuse the ?Tox and fillers. Anyway, Jenny covers the new issue of New You Magazine and her interview is sort of interesting if you want to laugh about how she?s a jackass. First of all, this interview was conducted before she got fired from The View, which makes it funny (in a schadenfreude way) that she?s telling the magazine that she could see herself on The View for the next 20 years. Then she gets into her new engagement (to a man she?s been with for a year) and how Donnie is her everything. But my favorite part is when she tries to answer questions about the ongoing backlash to her anti-vaccine crusade. She was specifically asked about the recent Twitter debacle when tweeters went crazy bashing her ?beliefs.?
Jenny on where she sees herself in 20 years: ?Believe it or not, I think I?m still on The View. I love the show. I?m doing so much work to improve myself?signing up for critical thinking courses and doing all my media training. I want to be at the top of my game, and when I?m 60 I want to still have a face that moves.?
Jenny on reinvention: “When I first moved out to L.A. and I was a Playmate, I’d be asked, ‘What do you want to do?’ I’d reply, ‘Comedy.’ They’d say, ‘Honey, that’s funny. A Playmate in comedy? That’s never going to happen.’ But then I was on Singled Out. Later, I said I wanted to write a book and they said, ‘That’s hilarious. No one would pick up your book.? Now, I have 10 books. I almost enjoy the challenge. You tell me I can’t do it? Guess what ? I’m the rule-breaker.”
On Donnie Wahlberg: “He’s my mirror. Things were always unbalanced in my previous relationships ? I’ve either been a teacher or a student. With Donnie, we’re just equal. I have my own identity and goals and he has his, yet we’re so similar we work on them together.”
The backlash against her anti-vaccine fake-science: “You have to be strong enough as a woman to voice your opinion, and sometimes you can get really beat up. ? People are either with you or against you, and if you take a position and people don’t agree with it, they can hate you for life. When really, it’s just a position you hold, that has nothing to do with your personal self.”
[From People]
?When I?m 60 I want to still have a face that moves?? The ?still? implies that your face moves now, which it doesn?t, Cat-face. CB was annoyed by the ?he?s my mirror? thing, which is sort of annoying but Jenny always gushes like that about whoever she?s with. I remember when she used to say that same kind of stuff about Jim Carrey. And let?s be real ? this Donnie thing isn?t going to last. Maybe they?ll end up going through with the wedding, but it won?t last more than a few years. Trust.
But the worst part is how she answers the completely legitimate criticisms of her anti-vaccine pseudo-science. That?s what offends me the most. When the tide turned on her anti-vaccine stuff, she tried to backtrack and claim that she was never anti-vaccine although there?s a mountain of evidence to suggest otherwise. It?s disingenuous (at best) or idiotic to try to reframe the criticism as just people attacking her because she?s such a strong, opinionated woman. Blah.

Clearing the slate, save for veteran Whoopi Goldberg, ?The View? is letting go of Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy.
According to an insider, the popular talk show?s bosses were unable to find acceptable terms to keep Shepherd on board, and Ms. McCarthy is getting the boot as they?re ?moving in a new direction creatively.?
Sherri took to her Twitter account with her announcement- "The number 7 is God?s number of completion & after 7 seasons my time at The View is now complete! So grateful 2 every1 4 their love & support? Incredibly grateful to my second mom Barbara Walters for pushing me beyond my comfort zone ? it's been amazing doing it scared! #joy.?
Shepherd also released a statement to Deadline-"After careful consideration, it is time for me to move on. I am extremely grateful to Barbara Walters and Bill Gedde for giving me the opportunity. I look forward to the business opportunities that lay ahead for me and I am incredibly grateful to my View family and my fans for supporting me on this journey."
Meanwhile, the ?Singled Out? star tried to make it sound like it was her own decision to depart. McCarthy tweeted, ?If Sherri goes ... I go too. #sisters? My View will be changing too. As will with many hard working folks. Thanks to everyone at the show for your dedication and an amazing year ... We will be back."

| Jenny McCarthy on her son's autism: 'he couldn't say Mama, but he knew how I felt' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Jenny McCarthy covers the June issue of Shape. I believe this is her second time covering the fitness magazine, and this is a much less realistic image than her last cover, in January 2013. That image was heavily Photoshopped too, as is the norm for just about every magazine, but on this cover she looks like someone stuck her head on a plastic doll. Her torso is impossibly long.
Inside, Jenny talks about how her fiance, Donnie Wahlberg, proposed (she’s told that story before), how she felt when her son Evan, 12, was showing signs of what she calls autism, and how she keeps fit.
On how she keeps fit
The last time I weighed myself was 12 years ago, when I left the hospital with my newborn son, Evan, and I was 185 pounds. Now I measure by how my jeans fit. But I want to be real here and tell you that my weight goes up and down a lot. I was definitely up after the holidays last year, so I tried what everyone always says to do: running. I was on that treadmill every day for 45 minutes. I don’t do anything fancy with intervals to spike my pulse rate, because I have palpitations and my heart can’t handle the intensity. I did a moderate pace and kept it there the whole time. After a few weeks, the extra weight dropped off.
On her son not responding to her
When Evan was struggling with developmental issues, I was with him day and night, holding him, loving him, trying to get him to smile or say Mama, but he couldn’t and it was breaking my heart. One day, I called my mom crying and said, ‘He doesn’t even know I exist. I’m dying as a mother.’ And she said to me, ‘Jenny, everyone responds to love.’ And she was right. Maybe he couldn’t smile or say Mama, but he knew how I felt and he responded to my love. It was a beautiful epiphany.
On her fiance, Donnie Wahlberg
The very first time I saw him, I was in eighth grade and New Kids on the Block was on MTV. I was like, ?Who are they? I thought Donnie was the hottest one but too tough for me, because I was this goody two-shoes. But now when I look at him, I think, ?I?m totally marrying a New Kid on the Block.
One afternoon, my son walked into the living room with a piece of paper that read, ?Will.? He ran out, then he came back with another piece that said, ?You.? Then he came back with another piece that read, ?Marry.? Then Donnie walked in wearing a t-shirt that said, ?Me??
He was carrying the ring, he got down on his knee in front of Evan, and… I said yes.
[From Shape Magazine, print edition, June 2014]
Jenny can often be full of crap. She recently claimed that she’s not anti-vaccine, although she’s certainly said enough about it for anyone to draw that conclusion. However I was touched by the story of how her son wasn’t responding to her and how it was so frustrating to her as a mom. That got me a little.
There’s some controversy over whether Jenny’s son had autism which she claims to have cured him of, or if he had another, milder disorder called Landau-Kleffner syndrome. Jenny has dismissed those claims as “blatantly inaccurate and completely ridiculous” and clarified that her son was diagnosed with autism at UCLA. Whatever the case, I’m glad Evan is ok now. Evan’s diagnosis is so much of an issue because Jenny has made it one. He has a very outspoken and protective mom in his corner.
As for Jenny’s engagement to Donnie Wahlberg, I can see them lasting for another year or two but I don’t see her getting married. I shouldn’t be so negative. I hope for her son’s sake that this works out for Jenny and Donnie. Evan seems like he’s really attached to Donnie and vice versa.

Mothers Day is just around the corner, and Jenny McCarthy got the celebration started a little early as she hosted Pandora's Pre-Mothers Day Dinner on Wednesday night (April 30) in New York City.
Accompanied by her fiancee Donnie Wahlberg, the actress/author arrived for the event in a grey pencil skirt and a yellow blouse, topped off with a black cardigan.
Earlier in the day, Jenny took to Twitter to promote the jewelry line's options.
She tweeted, "What should I wear to my special Mother?s Day dinner? Love my @PANDORA_NA Jewelry options! #PANDORAEssenceCollection," along with a photo of the many available charms.

Okay, so it looks like Jenny McCarthy just announced her engagement today on The View. Jenny has been dating Donnie Wahlberg for what? Less than a year ? they confirmed they were dating last summer, in July. So he proposed to her after approximately eight or nine months of dating? Okay, that?s not SO crazy. I think it?s probably about average actually. And Donnie proposed to her with an absolutely giant yellow sapphire and diamond engagement ring. Here?s Jenny freaking out as she announced it on The View:
Is this cute? I don?t know. I?m missing the bride gene, but I love jewelry so I want to talk about the ring. The ring is ridiculous. It?s so huge!!! And a yellow sapphire is a unique choice ? I guess people will probably think it?s a canary diamond because it?s basically the same color. As for Jenny?s excitement? congrats to her. How many times has she been engaged now? I think this is the fourth time?
Good luck to you too, Donnie. I actually sort of like him so I don?t know how all of this is going to end.
