Her live shows are legendary and last night (May 12) Jennifer Lopez announced she?s signed a deal for a residency at the AXIS Theater at Planet Hollywood in Sin City.
Slated to kick off on January 20th, 2016, the exciting run will be comprised of 20 shows spread across January, February, May and June, and tickets will go on sale on May 16th.
Lopez declared, ?I?ve been preparing for this moment my entire life. The show is going to be a multifaceted high energy Jenny from the Block party, mixing all aspects of what my fans and I love ? Dance, Hip Hop, Latin and Pop. It?s going to be the show I?ve always dreamt of creating.?

Of all the nearly-naked women on the Met Gala red carpet, I actually think Jennifer Lopez did it best. Kim Kardashian and Beyonce?s gowns weren?t on-theme, and they just seemed needlessly exhibitionist. At least J.Lo?s Versace gown was red, and she styled it with an eye towards keeping it in-theme. Is it still over the top? Of course. But I?m a ?90s Girl, and I?ll always love it when Jennifer goes old-school and wears Versace.
Wendi Deng (formerly Wendi Murdoch) was one of the co-chairs of the event. She wore this blue Oscar de la Renta which? it?s okay. I probably would have liked it more on another woman. Wendi sort of cheapens it, right?

Lorde got to wear a custom Calvin Klein dress ? she was one of only a handful of Calvin Klein-clad ladies, along with Kendall Jenner and Rose Byrne. I really like Lorde and I think this dress suits her personality. And after so much nudity on the red carpet, it?s refreshing to see a young woman covered up like this. She stood out because she wasn?t exposing herself.
And here?s Rose Byrne (and Bobby Cannavale) in Calvin Klein. I like this a lot too ? it?s Chinese-themed, but deconstructed.

Taking time away from her busy schedule, Jennifer Lopez showed up at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City for the 2015 Met Gala on Monday night (May 4).
As she stepped onto the red carpet, the ?On The Floor? songstress was all smiles, posing for photos and waving to fans before scurrying inside.
The 2015 Met Gala?s theme is ?China: Through the Looking Glass,? and once again Anna Wintour has outdone herself. Each year Anna Wintour helps make sure the event is a massive success, given that the money raised goes to fund the Costume Institute?s annual budget.

Here are some photos of Jennifer Lopez going solo at the 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards last night. Her white lace bodysuit/catsuit/jumpsuit was Zuhair Murad, one of her favorite go-to designers. I think Murad makes a lot of showgirl-looking clothes, but that kind of suits J.Lo?s vibe too. And let?s face it, even in a weight negligee-looking thing, she?s still beautiful.
Jennifer came out to the music awards to pay tribute to Selena Quintanilla, the Latin music star gunned down by a friend/con artist in 1995. So, this was the 20th anniversary of Selena?s murder and the Billboard Latin Music Awards wanted to pay tribute, and they got J.Lo, who famously played Selena in the bio-pic. That was J.Lo?s big star turn and she got a lot of notice for that film. Last night, she performed a medley of Selena?s hits along with Los Dinos, Selena?s former band.
After the music awards, J.Lo went out to dinner? with her on-again boyfriend Casper Smart. I say ?on-again? like they ever really broke up. They did not. They just pretended to break up and kept seeing each other on the downlow, because Jennifer is an idiot when it comes to men. How big of an idiot? Well, Life & Style reports this week that J.Lo and Casper are probably engaged and planning a lavish wedding. Of course.
Wedding bells are ringing for Jennifer Lopez! The singer, 45, is planning to marry her 28-year-old boyfriend Casper Smart in an extravagant $3 million destination wedding this December, ‘Life & Style Weekly’ exclusively reports.
“She’s positive Casper is the one,” a source close to the couple told the magazine. “And she’s willing to pay a fortune to make her wedding day perfect. Jen is a romantic and believes this is what her life has been building up to,” the insider continued.
Though the couple have faced relationship troubles in the past ? they broke up last June after dating for nearly three years ? Casper’s loving relationship with Jennifer’s twins, Max and Emme, 7, has reportedly helped her see a future with the dancer.
“Casper reads them bedtime stories and he’s up at 6:00 a.m. making pancakes,” the source said. As for the twins’ role in their upcoming lavish nuptials? “It will be family-oriented with Emme as flower girl and Max as ring bearer,” the insider added.

Of course, a ?source close to Lopez? told Gossip Cop that this story is ?entirely false?. Except that J.Lo has a history of lying about her relationship with Casper, because she knows we think she?s an idiot when it comes to men and at least she feels some sense of shame. So is she planning to marry Casper? I wouldn?t be surprised. I also wouldn?t be surprised if Casper was the one holding up the wedding plans.

The MTV Movie Awards were held last night and I was surprised to see that some big-name celebrities actually came out. The awards show last year was actually kind of pathetic in its turnout, but I guess enough celebrities wanted to promote their summer movies to the kidz this year, so they all came out. You can see the list of winners here ? it was a big night for Shailene Woodley and The Fault In Our Stars.
So, let?s talk fashion! Jennifer Lopez won an award for ?Best Scared As Sh-t Performance? for The Boy Next Door. Jennifer knew she was going to win too, which is why she came out in the first place. She wore this absolutely killer Versus Versace suit/minidress thing. She looks amazing, right? I mean, I?m a J.Lo apologist so I generally think she?s glamorous, but she looked especially great last night.
Amy Schumer wore Balmain on the red carpet. A lot of people are complaining about Amy?s raunchy, awkward performance as host. I?ve seen a few of her stand-up specials and I consider her an acquired taste. You have to sit there and watch for about ten minutes before you get into the rhythms of her comedy. My point? Her comedic brand was never going to work well as a host of a major awards show. As for the raunch? eh. It is what it is. The world rewards Kevin Hart for being raunchy, but Amy Schumer?
Anna Camp and Rebel Wilson were there to promote Pitch Perfect 2. I love Anna and her Peter Pilotto dress was cute. Rebel Wilson wore what was possibly the best dress she?s ever worn. I can?t find the ID for it, but it looks very Tom Ford-ish, right? It?s not Tom Ford though.
Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara presented together and skipped the red carpet. Reese wore Mugler and Sofia wore Noam Hanoch. Both looked fine, I?m not sure why they skipped the red carpet.

Taking some time for family fun, Jennifer Lopez brought her twin kiddos Max and Emme to the Los Angeles premiere of her new animated flick ?Home? on Sunday (March 22).
Both celebrity children were dressed to impress as they accompanied their famous mama (who wore a stunning Zuhair Murad dress) to the Regency Village Theater.
Lopez stars in the film along with Jim Parsons, Steve Martin and Rihanna, and it sounds like she was impressed with the way Ri-Ri pulled off her part- ?I?m a huge Rihanna fan? and I feel like she?s such a girl?s girl, which I love, because I?m a girl?s girl, and she seems very sweet. And I love the edginess about her and I think she did a really great job in this film.?

The ?Waiting for Tonight? songstress performed ?Feel The Light? from the forthcoming soundtrack for the movie ?Home,? which also stars Rihanna.

Some celebrities are still stuck in the old-media paradigm. I can?t really fault them for that, but it?s almost always the celebrities who got really famous in the 1990s and early 2000s, and it?s just funny to see them do the same old kind of press tours to promote their projects. Angelina Jolie is like that. George Clooney is like that too. And Jennifer Lopez is like that. J.Lo is promoting The Boy Next Door, and her press tour has been by the book for old-media. She?s been in NYC all week, making the talk show rounds and giving interviews to the entertainment shows, and now she?s on the cover of this week?s People Magazine. It?s an exclusive interview about her personal life, her love life, and she?s hustling so hard for this movie that she allowed People to put her kids on the cover.
Jennifer Lopez is the first to admit she’s had a rough ride when it comes to romance. So after her break-up from Beau “Casper” Smart last spring, she knew it was time to take stock.
“I had to make a commitment to myself to be alone: no flirting. No possibility of anything. No boys in any way, shape of form. I said, ‘I’m shutting it down’,” the star ? who produced and stars in the steamy thriller The Boy Next Door (out Friday) ? tells PEOPLE in this week’s cover story. “I’d never been alone.”
In a revealing interview at her sprawling home in Los Angeles, the superstar and refreshingly hands-on mother, to 6-year-old twins, Emme and Max, shares what was a sometimes-lonely journey of self-discovery.
“I always found my comfort in another person,” says Lopez, whose divorce from singer Marc Anthony was finalized in June, 2014, three years after their split. “Instead of giving myself time to heal and be on my own, I was so afraid to be that I was always like, ‘Okay somebody else just come in here and help me forget I’m in so much pain.’ ”
Newly empowered after facing her ultimate fear ? “I was terrified of being alone” ? Lopez is upbeat about the future. “Listen, at the end of the day, love is the best thing,” she says. “But what I’ve discovered is that I can’t get that from somebody else. It’s the love inside me, for myself, that will help me through.”
Currently single, the hard-working star, 45, hasn’t sworn off romance for good.
“I still believe in the fairy tale,” she says. “The more I work on myself, the more I give myself the opportunity to share a really deep and meaningful relationship that can give me my fairy tale and last forever.”
These days, Lopez is “open” to dating but vows to take things slowly.
“I’m not rushing into anything in any way, shape or form,” she says. “And I’m not looking.”

This has been Jennifer?s message throughout her press tour, and it?s fine. I don?t believe her 100%, but I think she?s learning how to be without a boyfriend/husband and there is some backsliding and compromising (like, she still goes out with Casper Smart sometimes). But as I said, it?s fine. I would love for her to wait until she found a really great guy, but I think we?re probably going to have to settle for Jennifer finding a guy with his own job (and a job she hasn?t given him).
Jennifer also appeared on The Daily Show on Tuesday. The interview was cute ? everybody loves J.Lo! Her ponytail though? girl, no. She also says kissing George Clooney was “okay.”
