Here are some photos of Taylor Swift out in New York on Friday night. She was one again at the Electric Lady Studios in Greenwich Village. It?s Taylor?s hottest club she?s been recording at that studio for the better part of a year, and she invites her friends to hang out with her there. On Friday, Margaret Qualley, Karen Elson, Cara Delevingne, Sadie Sink, Hayley Williams and several other friends all joined her.
Guess who else was there? Sabrina Carpenter. If you?re in any way familiar with the backstory of Olivia Rodrigo?s first album, Sour, you know that Sabrina Carpenter was ?the other woman? in Olivia?s first relationship. After Taylor and Jack Antonoff sicced their lawyers on Olivia over her song ?deja vu,? Taylor then invited Sabrina to open for her Eras Tour. Taylor and Sabrina are now tight, and Olivia is apparently writing music about how Taylor fking sucks. Behold, Olivia?s ?The Grudge,? which many people believe is about Taylor.
There?s also a lot of discussion about Olivia?s ?lacy,? which is more clearly about a woman a rival, someone who screwed over Olivia professionally and personally?
I have no idea what?s about Taylor and what?s about Sabrina or whether these songs are about someone else entirely. What I do know is that on the same day Olivia?s GUTS album was released, Taylor was in her Bad Blood era with her performative girl squad, which now includes Sabrina Carpenter. This summer, the economy has been fueled by two women: Barbie and Taylor Swift. While there?s much to say about the music, costumes, and production, the impact of the Eras Tour is starkly reflected in the numbers: a projected gross of $2.2 billion in North American ticket sales alone, and hundreds of millions of streams, reaching a nearly 80% spike in those listening to her music catalog in the weeks after the tour kicked off.
Swift?s tour is in a league of its own, even among legendary groups like the Rolling Stones who have been touring for decades, other major touring artists like Harry Styles and Beyonc and contemporaries like Adele with sold-out Las Vegas residencies, as the singer-songwriter brings her mega tour directly to her dedicated fans in various cities for multiple nights.
The reasons behind the Eras Tours unmatched success are many. Nora Princiotti, staff writer at The Ringer and co-host of the podcast of Every Single Album: Taylor Swift, attributes part of the tour?s success to the sheer depth and popularity of Swift?s music catalog. ?I dont know that anybody envisioned a tour of this scale ever happening. She can go three and a half hours and just hit after hit after hit,? says Princiotti.
There?s also the timing: The tour has become the perfect outing for concert-goers itching for a post-pandemic live music immersive experience. ?We are in an experience economy where people crave going out and participating in social events,? says Alice Enders, a music industry analyst at Enders Analysis and a former senior economist at the World Trade Organization. ?Its no surprise that people are flocking to this Eras Tour experience in what is increasingly an otherwise digital environment we live in.?

She?s removed herself from the traveling-circus aspect of touring and the whole operation is a well-oiled machine at this point, because she?s done this for her last three or four tours. Well, now Taylor?s truckers are getting a nice bonus.
Taylor Swift is sharing the wealth from her wildly successful Eras Tour in the form of six-figure bonuses for the truckers hauling her equipment all around the country! Our Taylor sources tell us she gifted each trucker working her tour $100,000 handing out the bonus checks before her Saturday show in Santa Clara, CA.
Were told the folks getting the money are production truck drivers who have been hauling Taylors equipment for The Eras Tour there are around 50 truckers for her U.S. tour, which means Taylor just shelled out about $5 million.
Our sources say the checks were an end of the tour bonus remember, the United States leg is coming to a close next week when Taylor plays a series of gigs at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood before moving down to Mexico.

Truck drivers arent the only ones getting a slice of the pie in the form of bonuses. Our production sources tell us Taylor also bonused band members, dancers, lighting and sound technicians, caterers, and others. There is no doubt the song is about John Mayer. Everything about it points to him, down to the fact that the guitar lick in it sounds just like him. I also think that whatever she says to the contrary, she has some residual bitterness toward him. On the extended edition of her latest record, Midnights, she released a song called Wouldve Couldve Shouldve that is also believed to be about John, since it references her dancing with the devil at nineteen. (If you arent well-versed in her lyrics just trust me on this.) I have to be honest and admit that Wouldve Couldve Shouldve is my favorite song Taylor has ever done. For one thing, Aaron Dessner produced it and it is so much better than her work with Jack Antonoff. For another, I experienced a traumatic event at nineteen that triggered a religious crisis just like she sings about, so the song maps onto my own life in a way thats downright spooky. Anyway in it she sings, I cant let this go/I fight with you in my sleep/The wound wont close/I keep on waiting for a sign. Those dont sound like the words of someone who has resolved their anger, just saying. Maybe she wrote the song years ago, but she also knew her fans would make the connections to Dear John. Theyre right there. I noticed them on my first listen. I think John is a sleazebag but I also think Taylors fans frequently take things too far. Heres what I wonder: if the Swifties go after him after all, is she going to say anything then? Or is she going to let it happen? My gut tells me its too little, too late for Taylor to speak up about this now.

What a glorious month it was, but now it?s over. Almost one month ago exactly, the Sun broke the news that Taylor Swift was seeing Matt Healy. Swifties and non-Swifties alike did a deep dive into the rumors Taylor and Matt had known each other for the better part of a decade, they reconnected last year through Jack Antonoff, Taylor made a surprise appearance at The 1975?s concert in early January, and implied throughout all of the reporting was the sense that Healy was ?the reason? why Taylor and Joe Alwyn broke up several months ago. In addition to all of the Swealy connections, the Snake Fam also examined Healy?s history as a racist ahole who likes to think that he?s some kind of provocateur. Even Azealia Banks expressed concern that Healy is a ?full incel? and Taylor is letting some scabies-ridden douche ?climb the rich white coochie mountain.? Matty was even spotted sneakin into Taylors NYC townhouse, and he hung out with Taylors dad during her Eras Tour stop in Philly.
Although they just started dating, the artists have known each other since 2014 when Taylor went to a concert for his band, The 1975.
They havent been seen in public together since May 25 when they were out on a dinner date. We still dont know exactly when the breakup went down, but there was a big clue things were over when The 1975 performed this weekend in Denmark. Matty had a history of kissing random people in the crowd, but during a January concert which Taylor was attending he said he was putting the kibosh on that move. Well, lo and behold, during this weekends concert he locked lips with a security guard. Talk about single and ready to mingle!!!

My guess is that it was always going to be more Tom Hiddleston-esque rather than another Joe Alwyn-type of longterm thing. I said it repeatedly, that the whirlwind, love-drunk energy reminded me of the summer of Tiddles (2016). Tiddles happened for a solid four months or so poor Matt Healy couldn?t even handle the bright, hot spotlight for one full month. Honestly, I do think Healy was probably scared sh-tless when he became a household name for all of the wrong reasons. But I also think someone finally talked some sense into Taylor too, probably her team or her publicist or maybe even Azealia Banks.

I believe they infantilize Taylor so much because A) she?s white and immature and B) because a big chunk of her fanbase is so young.
