Looking to be in high spirits, the ?Come on Over? singer and her two BFFs emerged from their NYC hotel en route to Chelsea Piers for the shoot.
In other news, a proud aunt Jessica recently tweeted about Ashlee?s son, Bronx Mowgli, writing, ?My godson talks in full sentences now. He just said,"I'm going to build a building 4 u jessica." Most romantic thing a man could say to me!?

| Has Jessica Simpson gained some weight, or is it just her bad styling? | Added 14 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I guess we?re not supposed to mention that Jessica Simpson is gaining weight. She?s not ?fat? and I?m certainly not saying that all women have to be super-skinny, or that gaining some weight is a crime or anything like that. But Jessica herself has made talking about her body a national pastime, and she?s even promoted The Price of Beauty on the back of the hyper-criticism she received for those chili cook-off photos from last year. Of course, Jessica told Oprah those photos were after she had gained like five or ten pounds. So how much has she gained this go around? The styling never helps with her. That skirt should be dragged into the street and shot. The shirt makes her look like a linebacker. This is Jessica?s fundamental problem: she has literally no clue how to dress her figure, no matter what her weight is. She?s too dumb, I guess.
Speaking of laughing at how dumb Jessica is, Fox News Pop Tarts has an interesting piece up about whether we?re all cruel, heartless, misogynistic bitches for even paying attention to Jessica?s weight fluctuations. It?s an interesting read:
What is it about pop star Jessica Simpson that makes her the butt of so many jokes about weight and relationships? Last February, singer and reality star Jessica Simpson made headlines after debuting an apparently fuller-than-usual figure while performing at a country music chili cook-off. But 14 months later, why are her weight fluctuations and personal misfortunes continuing to be spotlighted and satirized?
Over recent months, it seems Simpson has been attacked from almost every angle. Last year, a cartoon skit which aired during Fox’s NFL Sunday showed Tony Romo?s teammates laughing at his former girlfriend?s ?big? size, and rapper Eminem made a music video starring a ?heavy? Simpson look-alike in her daisy dukes with a hamburger in hand.
Then, MTV cartoon ?Popzilla? made fun of her ?bad luck? while sitting in the bleachers at a Dallas Cowboys Football Game. Even President Obama dryly commented on Simpson being “in a weight battle, apparently? when it was pointed out that his family portrait was bumped from the cover of Us Weekly to make way for the songstress?s weight issues.
Fox?s ?Glee? was the latest outlet to take a shot at Simpson in their premiere episode last week.
?Sometimes I wish I could be more like Coach Tanka,? Finn said in a voiceover. ?He pulled a Jessica Simpson ? you know, lost his fianc, gained 40 pounds, stopped showering, and everyone acts like that is totally normal.?
Attacks such as these beg the question, why is everyone obsessed with attacking Jessica?
According to Dr. Dionne Bennett, a Women?s Studies Professor at Loyola Marymount University, these ?jokes? aren?t just attacks on Jessica; they are attacks on all women.
?It is a way of telling us that even the most physically admired women will be the objects of ridicule if they gain weight or ‘lose’ their beauty. It is also a way of telling women that our looks are the only source of our value so that if our looks are diminished, our overall value is also diminished,? Bennett said. ?The attacks are also engaging the idea that everybody has the right to look at, talk about, and judge women’s bodies, something we rarely do to men.?
Simpson?s weight fluctuations and lack of luck in the love department are certainly nothing abnormal for Hollywood, or for the average American. So is Simpson being unfairly targeted? Or is it simply that we notice her more?
“No one really cared [when actress Kirstie Alley gained weight] because she’s Kirstie Alley,” said New York-based PR and Social Media expert, Peter Shankman. “But when it’s Jessica Simpson, a young girl who’s gorgeous and is beautiful and all of sudden gained all this weight, it’s a different story. I guarantee you if Paris Hilton gained 50 pounds, it’d be the same thing.”
And while Simpson herself has managed to stay strong throughout this seemingly never-ending ordeal, she told Tarts she had to work hard to pull herself out from the ?very dark place? that the sudden negative attention forced her into.
?It was really hard on me and I felt I needed to find some light in the very dark place I was in,? Simpson recently told Pop Tarts while discussing the inspiration behind her new VH1 reality show ?Price of Beauty.?
?I realized that people?s judgments about me and about my weight are really just none of my business, it?s not something I should be listening to or taking to heart. People can say whatever they want to say and I cannot take it personally.?
A rep for Simpson declined comment for this article.
So seeing as Simpson chose a career in the spotlight and consciously put herself out there to be judged, does she bring this ridicule on herself?
?I cannot believe that she views any publicity as bad publicity. This is a woman who let her dad talk her into turning her new marriage in a reality television show, in effect dooming it from the start,? said Terri Dougherty, author of ?People in the News ? Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey.?
?Like a child constantly trying to get attention, her entire life seems to revolve around the phrase, ?Look at me!? so if her weight has turned into a punch line on a television show, I don’t see this hurting her or her career.?
And Simpson?s close friend, personal assistant and co-star in ?Price of Beauty? Cacee Cobb believes this experience has had a positive effect on the pop star?s life.
?This show was really important to her to spread the word so girls don’t have to go through what she had just gone through the past year,? Cobb told Pop Tarts. ?She was unfortunately under so much scrutiny, that if she could save one person from having to go through that? it was really amazing to be a part of such a moving mission.?

Is this why no one is really talking about Jessica most recent weight gain? We all feel like we?re kicking a puppy by criticizing her? I?ll say the same thing I said about Mischa Barton - I don?t really care if Jessica or anyone else puts on some weight or whatever. What I think is fair game is a celebrity?s styling, their clothing, their hair, their makeup. And for that, Jessica almost always gets a big fat FAIL.

Fresh off of a Good Housekeeping party last night, Jessica Simpson was spotted exiting her New York City hotel on Tuesday (April 13).
Joined by mother Tina, the ?Price of Beauty? darling stopped and greeted a few adoring fans, allowing them to snap up a few pics with her before she hopped inside a chaffeured car.
In other news, Ms Simpson recently had to defend herself against people who didn?t believe she wasn?t wearing make-up on the cover of Marie Claire
Of the make-up-less photos, the star said, "I really wanted to show women that I'm just a normal person."
"I take the pictures. I don't know what the magazine is going to do with it after that. I don?t know what the photographer is going to do with it after that, so it was important for me to make sure that they absolutely did not retouch. I just wanted people to see how I really am."

She?s had a list of high-profile celebrity beaus, and now Jessica Simpson just wants a regular guy to come home to.
The ?Come on Over? songstress was embarrassed earlier this year when her ex-boyfriend John Mayer spilled the details of their sex life, spurning her from looking for another famous flame.
In a recent interview Jessica explained, ?I?m looking for a normal man. Just somebody that?s normal. That?s it.?
?By ten years I would love to be a mom, I would love just to be in love and be a mom. It sounds simple but it?s a lot harder [than you think.] I?m pretty picky.?

| Jessica Simpson doesn't know how to dress or style for her figure | Added 14 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I don?t even know where to begin with Jessica Simpson. She?s just so dumb. And her style is so? gross. Like, she doesn?t known how to dress for her lovely, petite, curvy figure, she doesn?t know how to put away the boobs, she doesn?t know how to stand or pose or wear clothes that will de-emphasize her shoulders, she doesn?t know how to not dress in curtains from the 1960s. She also thinks it?s cute to match blue nail polish to your blue curtain dress. At least her hair isn?t terrible? I guess. But I don?t even think her hair and makeup look that great here, although I?m glad to see she didn?t actually cop off her hair into that Edie Sedgwick look she was sporting yesterday, although it would have been cute.
Speaking of Jessica and makeup and styling, while talking to journalists on the red carpet of this Good Housekeeping event, Jessica defended her May Marie Claire cover and photo shoot. Jessica claims that sh-t was truly makeup free. Hmm?
Jessica Simpson has a message to those who think she wore concealer or blush on April’s Marie Claire cover: “I absolutely was not wearing makeup,” she told UsMagazine.com Monday at a Good Housekeeping bash in NYC. “Look at the cover — you can tell! My nose has been broken a couple of times. If you look at a retouched cover of me and you look at the Marie Claire cover, you can see there’s a big difference.”
Why no makeup?
“I really wanted to show women that I’m just a normal person,” she said. “I take the pictures. I don’t know what the magazine is going to do with it after that. I don?t know what the photographer is going to do with it after that, so it was important for me to make sure that they absolutely did not retouch. I just wanted people to see how I really am.”
She also told Us she was wearing a wig in those infamous photos she posed on Twitter Monday.
“I was just having fun,” she told Us of wearing a 60s-inspired pixie cut wig.
Though her mother Tina told Us her daughter would never chop off her hair, Jessica told Us: “Never say never! Maybe, but not right now!”
She also filled Us in on her love life, echoing previous remarks that she’d like to date a doctor or a chef.
“I?m just looking for a normal man!” she told Us. “Just somebody that?s normal! That’s it!”

I don?t know? I didn?t think the Marie-Claire cover was totally makeup free, just mostly makeup free. I suspect there was some powder and lip gloss and some retouching involved. But whatever, it doesn?t really matter, does it?
Oh, and Jessica really, really, really wants to marry Ken Paves and have his babies:
Sometimes I really feel sorry for Ken. I mean, I?m sure he love Jessica and I?m sure they have a great time together as best friends, but at the end of the day, he has to hang out with Jessica Simpson all the time. I can only take her in small doses, so imagine how horrible Ken?s life is?

Spending the evening on the red carpet, Jessica Simpson turned up at Good Housekeeping's "Shine On" 125 Years Of Women Making Their Mark event in New York City on Monday (April 12).
Held at City Center, the blonde beauty was looking lovely as she posed solo before joining up with her good friend, celebrity stylist Ken Paves.
The outing comes just after Miss Simpson and her stylist pal grabbed headlines when Mr Paves posted pics of Jess wearing a short-do wig while traveling aboard a recent flight.
Joking amongst one another, Jess laughingly tweeted of her coif, "Carol Brady who :)?" before adding, "In flight hairdo fun!"

Showing off a brand new look, a short-haired Jessica Simpson hit Twitter on Sunday (April 11) thanks to her stylist pal Ken Paves.
With Paves posting a pair of photos of the "Dukes of Hazzard" damsel smiling while in mid-flight, Jess tweeted of her coif, "Carol Brady who :)?"
Meanwhile, Ken jokingly tweeted of the pair's trip, writing, "Stopped in West Palm and picked up my Aunt Sandy...off to Atlantic City!!!"
With Jess's blonde locks most-likely covered by a well-placed wig, she added of the second side-view shot, "In flight hairdo fun!" with Paves adding, "Aunt Vikki came along too!"

Jessica Simpson appears on the cover of next month’s Marie Claire without any make-up or retouching in an effort to promote her new turd of a show “The Price of Beauty.” She tells the magazine:
“There’s always something that I’ve wanted to fix because there’s always somebody who looks better; that’s what we always compare ourselves to. So I think the [show] really was finding what was beautiful inside of me and knowing that it’s unique and rare. And it was a very powerful journey. It has definitely changed my life.
I just wish I was taller, so all those dresses would fit! I like the bump in my nose. It’s an imperfection, but to me it’s perfection. I’m not against reconstructive surgery if it is for a woman to have more confidence.”
I’m not sure how looking as unattractive as possible on a magazine cover is gonna increase potential viewership, but then again, I’m not a fancy television producer. My instinct would be to go with “boobs” and “more boobs,” followed by a couple of high-speed car crashes and footage of fat people falling down. Which is precisely why I’m already in early stages of development with Fox.
Because the title “The Price of Having a Fame-Hungry Father and a String of Failed Relationships that I Eat My Way Through” didn’t really appeal to test audiences:
