Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus made their ?red carpet debut? as a couple at last night Critics Choice Awards. To be fair, Reedus and Kruger have been on red carpets together before, when they worked together several years ago, in what was likely the beginning of their affair. But ever since Diane and Joshua Jackson broke up, Diane and Norman have been together and they?ve been easing their way into official-coupledom status. I think this was probably smart, to make their first red-carpet appearance at a low-key awards show. That being said, Norman Reedus really brings out the worst in her, sartorially. This Vera Wang dress is bad. Every part of this dress looks like an afterthought.
Kate Bosworth in Brock Collection. This dress is a nightmare, my God. It?s like the ugliest wedding gown in the world had a baby with the biggest doily in the world and that baby had a stupid ruffle.
Speaking of ugly-ass doilies, check out Allison Williams? Dolce & Gabbana gown. First of all? at some point, actresses need to stop wearing Dolce & Gabbana. They are problematic people/designers. Second of all, what the hell was her stylist thinking???

| Diane Kruger in Prada at the Golden Globes: stunning or boring? | Added 6 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I?m a little bit surprised that Diane Kruger didn?t wear Chanel to the Golden Globes, just because she usually wears Chanel to all of the major events. Diane went with this Prada gown which? I don?t like? I don?t completely hate it, but I just don?t care for it either. It doesn?t suit her? Diane?s German film, In the Fade, won Best Foreign Film and many people think that Diane could be a dark-horse contender for a Best Actress Oscar nomination. Norman Reedus was her date to the Globes, although they barely posed with each other on the carpet. She did give him a big kiss when her film won though. And they partied with each other after the show.

| Diane Kruger 'felt liberated' after breaking up with Joshua Jackson in 2016 | Added 6 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

A little more than two years ago, the New York papers reported that Diane Kruger was getting frisky with Norman Reedus. It was December 2015, and Diane had only recently moved to New York with her boyfriend of a decade, Joshua Jackson. In retrospect? yeah, of course Diane was cheating on Joshua with Norman Reedus. It wasn?t until July 2016 that Joshua and Diane announced their split, and it wasn?t until December 2016 that Diane and Norman started being seen out and about together as a couple. The whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth, but I have to admit, I sort of hate-admire how ?no apologies? Diane was about it. She never explained, never complained, never apologized. And Joshua moved on, so it?s not like we need to cry for Poor Joshua.
Anyway, Diane?s new German film, In the Fade, is getting a ton of buzz. She won the Best Actress gong at last year?s Cannes Film Festival, and some believe she might be a dark horse candidate for a Best Actress nomination. The film is one of the big contenders for Best Foreign Film too. To promote the movie, Diane chatted with Vulture (in a piece published about a week ago, sorry, I missed it) about how everything in her life sort of fell apart in the span of a year, and what really happened with Joshua (and how all of that happened at the same time). You can read the piece here. Some highlights:
What fell apart in her life: In the space of eight months, she lost her grandmother and her stepfather, plus ended her ten-year relationship with Joshua Jackson, all while going into deep immersion in the toughest role of her career ? as a woman whose Turkish husband and son are killed in a neo-Nazi terrorist attack in the German-language thriller In the Fade.
Why she works in so many French films: ?I just felt that in France, I was never typecast. But in the U.S., they just wanted to hire me for big franchises where you?re ?the female lead,? but you?re really servicing the male story line.?
Why she wasn?t popular (as an actress) in her German homeland: ?I felt for a long time that they felt I had abandoned or given up my Germanness. Also, I changed my name, which was originally Heidkrger, so even though I?m really well known in Germany, I?ve always felt they were a little upset with me.?
What happened with the Joshua Jackson breakup: Kruger isn?t specific about when she and Jackson called it off, but indicates that it was almost simultaneous with her grandmother?s death, and on Kruger?s behest. ?That was something that was a long time coming. Also we broke up many months before we said we were broken up, so by the time I made that decision, it didn?t feel like it was so urgent anymore. You don?t break up overnight after ten years, you know what I mean?? She describes the experience as sad and inevitable rather than angry or anxiety-inducing. (?It wasn?t like an urgent, ?Oh my god, I can?t sleep at night? thing.?)
Dealing with the breakup as she worked: ?Actually, it felt liberating because I didn?t have to worry about that anymore, so I could immerse myself 100 percent into something else. I felt like I did nothing else but that. Nobody came to visit me, I didn?t have to worry about anything else but this.? Didn?t she miss the support system, though? ?I didn?t want one. It?s a distraction.?
Norman Reedus has been her rock. ?Coming out of it was a long process that mostly involved my family because we were healing and grieving the loss of my stepdad together. And I was lucky to have my friends and my partner there to just be present and walk that walk with me to the light.?
[From Vulture]
Whenever I look at Norman Reedus, I always think ?this will end in tears.? Like, anything and anyone he?s involved with will end in tears. I don?t think he?ll ever be any woman?s soulmate or true partner, but whatever. Maybe he was just the excuse she needed to exit the relationship with Joshua. It?s all really kind of f–ked up, right? She openly cheated on Joshua with Norman, orchestrated the split, then a year and a half later, talks about how liberating the whole experience felt at the time. Oh well? she never pretended to be a contender for German Sweetheart of the Year. Maybe it?s more interesting this way.

| Diane Kruger & Norman Reedus sucked face in a series of bars this week | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
The only reason this story is noteworthy is because Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus have always insisted that they aren?t really together. Diane and Norman worked together maybe two years ago, then around Christmas 2015, they were spotted out together, getting a drink in a seedy bar and looking very ?we?re having an affair.? Diane was with Joshua Jackson at the time. Joshua and Diane were together about six months following that moment, and then they broke up. Diane has been seen out with Norman ever since. He is her jumpoff. She went to Paris to be with him. She went to Barcelona to be with him. They take road trips together. They are loved up in every city. But they?re ?just friends,? you guys. Except not.
It appears Daryl Dixon may be off the market…The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus and Diane Kruger, his co-star in the 2015 film Sky, had an epic makeout session on the streets of New York City Tuesday, E! News has learned, following more than a year of romance rumors. The two have never commented on them. Reedus, 48, and Kruger, 40, left his home and walked to a bar, where they hung out for almost four hours. They left smiling and holding hands and spoke to random people on the street before the stopped at a corner and made out for half an hour, an eyewitness told E! News exclusively. The two then went to another bar.
“They looked like they had a great time!!” the eyewitness said.
Reedus and Kruger have also been fueling the romance rumors in recent weeks. Earlier this month, Kruger was spotted walking in Barcelona, where Reedus was opening a new photography exhibition. Last month, Reedus and Kruger were were photographed unloading bags and boxes from a Porsche in New York City. An eyewitness told E! News exclusively at the time that the two kissed on the lips and acted playful and also drove to a hotel. But another source told E! News Kruger and Reedus are “just friends.” The two have also been liking each other’s posts on Instagram.
[From E! News]
What?s more annoying, the fact that Diane cheated on Joshua Jackson or the fact that Diane and Norman won?t just come out and say ?we?re dating? at this point? It?s all pretty annoying. And what?s with their making-out-in-bars thing? That?s how we learned that Diane and Norman were happening in the first place. They can?t just get a seedy hotel room like two normal people carrying on an affair. They have to take their shady love to a series of bars where it sounds like they?re too busy sucking face to order many drinks. Ugh.

| Diane Kruger in Versace at the NYC amfAR gala: cute or not dressy enough? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos from last night?s big amfAR gala in New York. There was a great turnout, and it was almost like the big amfAR galas at Cannes. There were SO many models there. I?m not going to get to everybody, just the biggest names. Let?s start with Diane Kruger in this Versace minidress. Most of the women wore full-on gowns, so Diane stood out by going shorter. I also think she stood out because this dress feels less like gala-wear and more like ?what you wear to a premiere after-party.? The dress is cute enough, but I would have chosen something different for her for this gala.
Scarlett Johansson wore a custom Atelier Versace tuxedo. She was one of the few (if only?) women in a tux/suit. I like the sharpness of this.
Naomi Campbell in Atelier Versace. Meh. She can wear anything, in any color, but I hate this shade of orange.
Zo Kravitz in Versace, with her boyfriend Karl Glusman. Again, I?m not into the blonde hair but I like the simplicity of the dress. And Zoe seems really loved up with Karl.
Iman in Zac Posen. Do you realize how unforgiving this dress is? It?s satin, it?s bias-cut, it hugs every curve. And she looks amazing.
Chlo Sevigny in MiuMiu. She?s a national treasure, you guys. I love her.
Ellie Goulding in Jenny Packham Spring 2016. I don?t hate this at all. It depends on who is wearing it though – Packham is allegedly one of Duchess Kate?s favorite designers, and I would hate this on Kate. But on Ellie, it?s pretty sexy and cute.
I feel weird about this, but I don?t hate Victoria Justice?s Marchesa gown at all? This is the second Marchesa gown I?ve seen in a week?s time where I?m like, ?Eh, it?s not so bad!? Am I losing my edge??

| Diane Kruger in Nina Ricci at the InStyle Globes party: cheap or flirty? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos from some of the post-Golden Globes parties on Sunday night. It?s our annual tradition to get to the party girls a little bit late, but we didn?t forget about them! Here?s Diane Kruger at the InStyle party, flying solo. She wore Nina Ricci, which seems out of character for her. She usually goes? um, more high end? Not that Nina Ricci is cheap, mind you. But this is unexpected on Diane. I also wonder if this a ?whole new Diane? since she?s officially (or something) with Norman Reedus these days.
Miranda Kerr wore this August Getty to the InStyle party. I get that the style is ?weird drapes,? but does anyone else get a pregnancy vibe from Miranda? Her billionaire already proposed, so I maybe she?s trying to get him to set a date.
Here?s Naomie Harris, who switched Armani gowns to party. I don?t get how this ball gown would be more comfortable that her other Armani, but whatever.
Laverne Cox in Mikael D. She looks amazing. I like that she?s gone darker with her hair, it looks so much better than the honey-blonde shade she was working a year ago.
Naomi Campbell also switches gowns to party. That whole thing fascinates me, especially for people who aren?t nominated for anything. They?re just coming out to present, the they change frocks to party. Weird. Anyway, this is a pretty color on her.

| Diane Kruger: 'I cannot shop in thrift stores. I hate the smell of them' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos of Diane Kruger at the opening night of the Deauville Film Festival in Deauville, France. Deauville usually happens around the same time as Venice, but Deauville is a lot less ?drama!!? Still, Diane managed to bring some major drama with this gown on opening night. This caped, sparkly gown is from Elie Saab?s Fall 2016 collection. While I always appreciate the high-fashion drama Diane brings to a red carpet, does anyone else side-eye the ?heart? design of the gown? It seems too cutesy for Diane. For an earlier photocall, Diane wore a cute/interesting little black Victoria Beckham dress too (I?m including those photos at the end of the post).
Diane attended Deauville to promote her movie The Infiltrator, and she?s been giving interviews about the film for a few months. I just saw this piece she did with Yahoo Style, and I enjoyed it ? you can read the piece here. She talks about the film, but the most interesting parts were about her red carpet habits, and her general style. She hates thrift stores! She does her own makeup for red carpets!
Her ?90s style: ?I love fashion. I think it?s a really fun way to be a woman. I like to change it up. I like to try different things. These days, I guess you could say I?m a kid of the ?90s. That?s when I was a teenager. I?m loving the whole slip dress-sneaker phase. I feel like that?s how I went to school forever. I am unafraid of whatever is coming next. I?m not scared by it. I like to have fun with it.?
She doesn?t have a stylist: ?I still style myself. For the red carpet, I often borrow dresses from designers though because that?s easier in a way. You give it back and you don?t have to go shopping for it. To be truthful, in my daily life, I don?t really shop that much. I love online shopping. Every once in a while I?ll go to Barneys and just have an indulgence day. But I love the convenience of ordering from home, I have to say. I think people need stylists when they don?t have time or they don?t find it fun to do it themselves. At this point, I think if I had to do a big tour, I would use a stylist to pull clothes, but I just don?t think I need a stylist.?
Whether she ever shops at thrift stores: ?No. I know that is going to disappoint people, but I cannot shop in thrift stores. I hate the smell of them, and I can?t ever get over it. I love used jeans, but they have to be in a regular store, or I order them online. I have ordered vintage jean jackets from online. But there is too much stuff in thrift stores. It takes me too long to go through stuff.?
Whether she does her own makeup: ?It depends. For photo shoots, I always have a makeup person. But often for red carpets, I do it myself.
[From Yahoo Style]
I?m surprised that she hates vintage shops. I used to love vintage/Salvation Army/thrift shops when I was a lot younger, although if I?m being honest, I haven?t shopped in a vintage or thrift store in many years. That?s not because I hate them, it?s because I too find online shopping super-convenient. What is this though? ?I hate the smell of them, and I can?t ever get over it?? She doesn?t like that dusty, moth-ball smell, I guess? As for Diane not using a stylist? I believe it for Diane much more than I believe it for Blake Lively.

| Diane Kruger & Joshua Jackson broke up after a decade together, sad | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

When I wrote about Diane Kruger last week, I noted that Joshua Jackson had not come out for her big premiere, and I said: ?I know there are die-hard Jackson/Kruger believers, but my gut has been telling me for months that Kruger and Jackson are on the outs, if not completely broken up.? Well, guess what? Another point for my gossip-gut. Joshua and Diane announced their split yesterday to media outlets.
Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson have split after 10 years together, PEOPLE confirms.
“Diane Kruger and Josh Jackson have decided to separate and remain friends,” reps for both confirm exclusively to PEOPLE.
Kruger, 39 and Jackson, 37, began dating after Kruger split from her husband of five years, French director Guillaume Canet. Kruger and Jackson owned houses in both Paris and Vancouver, and lived together in New York, where they were often spotted taking strolls around the city. The two last stepped out together in February for the opening of Jackson’s Broadway play.
[From People]
I really believe that the rumors about Kruger and Norman Reedus were true, and that they were fooling around late last year, and possibly into this year. My gut isn?t saying anything about Reedus being the jumpoff ? I think it was more of an affair/fling, not the gateway to a new relationship. I also think that Diane and Joshua were trying to work through some sh-t for months, and they weren?t hiding it very well. Maybe they wanted their fans to get used to the idea that they were having problems, so the split announcement wouldn?t come as such a shock. And there are people who really believed in them as a couple, and for goodness sake, they spent a decade together. That?s longer than most marriages (and yes, I know they were famously unmarried). Mostly, I?m just wondering why there were seven months of rumors instead of a clean split. Maybe we?ll never know.

| Diane Kruger: Studio films are 'not really all that interesting to me anymore' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos of Diane Kruger at the New York premiere of The Infiltrator two nights ago. Her gown was a custom Jason Wu. Which is interesting, right? Leslie Jones couldn?t find any major designer willingly to help her out by simply making a dress in her size for a premiere of what will likely be one of the biggest films of the summer, and here is Diane Kruger is her custom Jason Wu gown for a premiere of film that (let?s face it) few people will see. Besides all of that, I don?t even think the gown is all that. I can?t even tell if I?m looking at the lining or her breasts. Also: Joshua Jackson didn?t come to her premiere. I know there are die-hard Jackson/Kruger believers, but my gut has been telling me for months that Kruger and Jackson are on the outs, if not completely broken up.
Meanwhile, Kruger chatted with People Magazine about how she?s totally over studio movies and all she wants to do now is work on small indie films and TV shows. Sure, Jan.
She thinks TV is more exciting these days: “I feel like television has taken over so much that there’s a whole new platform for actors and talent to grow. What studios are producing is not really all that interesting to me anymore.?
Which TV show she would love to work on: “Oh my god, I love House of Cards.” She also listed Better Call Saul as a favorite.
[From People]
While I think Diane is right about TV fueling, nurturing and growing talent these days, I also think that Kruger would love to simply be offered more work across the board. She would jump at the chance to work on more studio films, or indie films or TV shows. I?m just saying that I doubt her shade for studio films is really about the quality of studio films today but about a lack of opportunities for her specifically, and for women generally. Studios aren?t breaking down the doors of any 40-ish women and those women know when they?re unwanted, which is why TV has become flush with great, meaty roles for women in their 30s, 40s and 50s.

| Diane Kruger: 'I have yet to be paid the same amount as a male costar' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
I think Diane Kruger is one of the most photogenic women in the world, so why did Town & Country use this shot for their cover? She looks like a zombie! Is it a trick of the lighting or bad makeup or is this one of the worst Diane Kruger covers ever? Anyway, Diane covers the August issue of Town & Country, likely to promote The Infiltrator, which comes out in a few weeks in America. Diane chats about her boyfriend Joshua Jackson, because I guess they?re still together? Sure, maybe. And she also talks about feminism and the pay gap. Some highlights:
Moving to Paris when she was 15: ?This whole other life opened for me in Paris. I met actors; I watched films. When I was growing up, the movie theater was 20 miles from my house, I spent every day watching The Nanny. After a few years in Paris I realized I wanted to go to drama school.?
On having an identity crisis at age 30: ?I had become arrogant. I had been a model, I spoke three languages, I had a career. I felt I had figured it all out. And then I realized that I was living in this very privileged life in my own bubble that I created and I [didn?t] know anything about what [was] really going on in the world and I [didn?t] ask enough questions… I made a lot of different choices. I cut people out of my life who I felt were enabling my bubble.?
On meeting long-time love, actor Joshua Jackson: ?Meeting someone like my partner, who has a very different perspective, who likes to travel in a different way and be open to various experience was so important. I was 30 years old and I was already bored of fancy hotels.?
On feminism and the pay gap in Hollywood: ?I have yet to be paid the same amount as a male costar. And absolutely I?ve been labeled a bitch, or difficult to work with, when I?ve spoken up about something. Or it?s ?She doesn?t really know what she?s talking about.??
[From Town & Country]
I appreciate that she?s honest about her arrogance, that she was living in a privileged little bubble and only looked outside of that bubble when she turned 30. Most people ? especially most celebrities ? never get to the point where they even know they?re in a bubble. And I guess she?s saying that Joshua likes to travel for the joy of seeing other places and other cultures, and she had just spent most of her traveling time sitting in fancy hotels? Sure. I believe that too. Just as I believe that she?s been labeled a difficult bitch for asking for equal pay. I appreciate it so much that women in the industry are talking about equal pay issues openly these days. I hope it continues.
