Adding a dose of ?wow? factor, Cheryl Cole arrived on the Cannes International Film Festival red carpet today (May 13) for the premiere of ?Habemus Papam.?
The ?Parachutes? singer donned a plunging white dress and pulled-back hairdo as she paraded around the Palais des Festivals for all to see.
Later this year Cheryl will be coming to the States with her new gig on the American version of Simon Cowell?s ?The X Factor.?
She told press, ?I'm hoping people are going to embrace it. I'm not worried (about my accent). It's going to be interesting. I hear a lot of accents here too. I'm sure there will be words or phases where people are like, excuse me??

Getting the popular UK show's Stateside version underway, Cheryl Cole attended the first round taping of "X-Factor" in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon (May 8).
Glamming up the Galen center venue, the former Girls Aloud singer looked colorful and cute as she worked the arrivals area at the show kickoff held on the Mother's Day holiday.
The event comes just as the star host/judge lineup was completed with last minute additions of Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and Steve Jones.
With Miss Scherzinger and Mr Jones set to co-host the series, creator Simon Cowell said of the announcement, "These two are going to be great together. I have always wanted Steve to work with us; I think he is a real star. Nicole is fantastic. I loved working with her on the U.K. X Factor last year. She is gorgeous and super-talented."
Meanwhile, Miss Abdul joins Miss Cole and L.A. Reid to complete the trip of "X Factor" US judges, with Paula saying of the news, "I am excited beyond words to be a part of The X Factor. I couldn't be happier to bring my love for cultivating talent and performance to such a wildly anticipated show."
The 48-year-old added, "I'm looking forward to being back with the FOX/FremantleMedia family and know that it will be an extraordinary journey -- we're going to have a blast. I'm also delighted and grateful to be sitting next to Simon again...but you might want to check back with me in a week or two!"

After months of ironing out the details, Simon Cowell announced today that Cheryl Cole will be the third X Factor judge alongside famed music producer L.A. Reid. Cole has been a judge on the UK version and is already a household name overseas.
?I?m thrilled for Cheryl. She is massively excited about this show, and has been fantastic to work with,? says Cowell in a statement. ?She is also a complete brat! Most importantly, this girl can spot talent.?
?I?m so excited to be taking part in the American version of The X Factor,” Cole says in a statement. “I absolutely love it here in the U.K., and with the talent they have out in America, I?m sure we?re going to find someone very special. I can?t wait to get started. I just can?t decide whether I am more excited to find and nurture the talent or for the unbelievable amount of amusement and entertainment I will have watching Simon doing everything and anything he can to beat me. He?s tried to beat me for three years in the U.K., and hasn?t even come close. His ego must be so bruised. America is gonna love this.?
Being a star in the UK is great but it’s much better being a star in the US. You get worldwide recognition, more money, more fame and more people trying to hack into your Blackberry to find nude photos of you. In conclusion, there better be topless pics of Cheryl Cole in six months or else I’ll be very disappointed. You want to be number one, right America?

They're proving to be her crutch as she makes the stressful move to Los Angeles to pursue her American career, but Cheryl Cole has been told to quit the cigarettes or she will never be understood in the States.
The pop star is trying to land a job as a judge on the U.S. "X Factor" and has spent the past two weeks having elocution classes in L.A. to soften her Geordie twang.
However, Cheryl's voice coach has told the 27-year-old to kick her 20-a-day habit if she wants any chance of cracking America.
Yesterday (April 4) it was reported that LA Reid, the only person officially announced so far as being on the show - let it slip that Miss Cole is joining the panel before it could be revealed by executive producer Simon Cowell, who will neither confirm nor deny the news.

Stepping out for a swanky afternoon, Cheryl Cole was spotted arriving at The Prince?s Trust Celebrate Success Awards today in London, England (March 23).
The Girls Aloud singer showed up at the Odeon Leicester Square sporting a fabulous brownish-beige dress as she posed for the paparazzi.
The Prince?s Trust Celebrate Success Awards are set up to recognize young people who have overcome adversity to turn their lives around.
Prince Charles will meet several Trust Ambassadors during the ceremony including Daybreak host Christine Bleakley.

Gearing up for a transatlantic flight, Cheryl Cole was spotted at Heathrow International Airport in London, England today (February 23).

Earlier this week, Cheryl met up with Prince Charles of Wales to discuss the launch of her own charity to help young people in her hometown.

They have so much potential - but can go off the rails without the right care and support. I want my foundation to help them realize their potential and get their lives on track.?
"I have always been a great admirer of the work of the Prince's Trust with disadvantaged young people across the U.K. It's the perfect charity for my foundation to support."

Taking care of some charity business, Cheryl Cole was spotted meeting with Prince Charles at Clarence House in London, England today (February 22).
Joined by Kristina Kyriacou, the director of the Cheryl Cole Foundation, the Girls Aloud singer chatted with the Prince of Wales about The Prince?s Trust and their efforts to provide funds for children who have struggled at school and can?t find employment.
In relationship news, Cheryl is said to be distancing herself from Derek Hough after he made a surprise visit to her house on Valentine?s Day.
An insider told press, "Cheryl's not amused by this latest development in their relationship. He's forced the issue by turning up like this - which might turn out to be a tactical error, as Cheryl doesn't respond well to pressure. It could even spell the beginning of the end for him."
"She banned Valentine's Day activity - she said that no way would they spending it together. But he's desperate to see her while he can, because his schedule is about to go crazy and they may not see each other all summer."
