Earlier this week, Kaiser covered Rihanna “look at my nips” outfit in New York City and concluded that while Rihanna is pretty damn narcissistic, she also needs to take a break from everything. Let’s face it — the girl is in need of a long nap (among other things). Rihanna herself has given a new interview where she discusses how her fluctuating weight — higher last summer and lower just a few months later — and how she ended up in the ER after the Met Gala simply because she didn’t get any sleep the night before. Allegedly, Rihanna’s weight loss is also all down to stress, but unfortunately, she says that her schedule will not let up anytime soon. Riri’s got two more movies scheduled before she starts touring again next year. Also, she claims to hate her new size zero ass:
Rihanna is running herself ragged.
The unattached, “Where Have You Been” singer, 24, is at work on her seventh CD — and trying to squeeze in some more zzz’s! Recently, she opened up to Us Weekly about her jam-packed calendar — and the effect it’s having on that famous beach bod.
Recently, the pop diva made the leap from the recording studio to the big screen with her star turn in Battleship. “I want to do two more [movies] before touring again next year,” Rihanna gushed to Us of her filming experience, even though, “My schedule is crazy!”
So crazy, in fact, that the Barbados-born beauty was hospitalized for fatigue following her appearance at the Met Ball last month, where she stunned in a black, reptile-inspired Tom Ford gown.
“I got no sleep [beforehand],: Rihanna explained. “It’s harsh on your body!”
Her hospitalization — and her shrinking bod — have some fans fretting that she’s dealing with something more serious, though Rihanna assures Us her nonstop schedule is the only thing to blame.
“I’m a size 0 — and not happy about it!” she says. “I went way too far. I prefer myself a bit chunkier. I want my old butt back!”
[From Us Weekly]
If you do a search for Rihanna’s height on Google, the immediate answer that pops up is 5’8? — which is one inch shorter than my height. I’ve never been a size zero and cannot imagine how little one would have to weigh to be a size zero at this height. In fact, at my very lowest weight, I was a size four and about 115 pounds, and my relatives honestly wanted to commit me to an eating disorder clinic based on appearance alone. The fact of the matter is that, while I obviously wasn’t an international pop star, I was tearing my hair out over graduate school (and other circumstances) and food just didn’t appeal to me. Sooo … I get the notion of stress as a (sometimes unintended) method of weight loss, but I don’t think that’s the case with Rihanna. Earlier this year, she was tweeting photos of her hot personal chef, who presumably whips up low-cal meals for her on the road. I also honestly don’t think that Rihanna is a size zero now. She’s small, yes. But she’s not emaciated.
To recap Rihanna’s butt situation, here it is last August in Barbados.
And here’s Rihanna’s butt in January in Hawaii. There’s a definite difference, but I don’t think she was a size 0 at that point, and I don’t think she is now either.

She never seems to stop partying, and last night (June 14) Rihanna was spotted going to Jay-Z?s 40/40 Club in New York City.
The ?Take a Bow? songstress was joined by her assistant Jen Rosales and a bunch of her gal pals as she hit up the Manhattan hotspot.
During the course of the evening, Ri-Ri tweeted, ?Chilling with my hoes @JaniseeAileen @TamaraWray Victoria @mforde11 @jennnrosales @NoellaAlstrom @aa_davis @sonyarbenson skeete #golebron.?
The night before, two of Rihanna?s ex-lovers, Chris Brown and Drake, ended up in a bar brawl, prompting her to unleash a series of inspirational tweets.
Rihanna wrote, ?The only honest people in the world are small children and drunk people,? followed by, ?It's good being strong, but it sucks too when people know that u are strong and they think that it is okay to hurt u.?

Spotted out and about in the big town, Rihanna headed to dinner with a friend at Da Silvano restaurant in New York City this evening (June 13).
The 24-year-old singer looked hip in an all-red ensemble that she paired with funky tennis shoes and a black bag while keeping her head down to avoid the awaiting shutterbugs.
In personal news, it seems as if the Barbadian beauty?s abusive ex-boyfriend Chris Brown is desperate to get her back.
According to a report put out by the New York Post, the 23-year-old performer was at the same club as Miss Rihanna earlier this week and he was apparently admiring her from across the room.
In spite of the tension, the two never actually made contact throughout the evening.

Kicking off her week with a wild evening out, Rihanna was spotted attending a party in New York City last night (June 11).
The ?Russian Roulette? songstress hit up Avenue in Manhattan in a beautiful white summer dress teamed with a pair of Converse All Stars.
As for the reports that her new Armani ad features a body double named Jahnassa Aicken, Ri-Ri is said to be fuming.
Nonetheless, Rihanna?s massive Times Square billboard for her new scent Rebelle looks amazing, and it?s 100% her.

Rihanna decided to walk through New York City yesterday wearing a really see-through shirt with no bra. I don’t think it was intentional because it looks like she figured it out near the end when she folded her arms across her chest. Boo! Hiss!

Can it get any better than Rihanna walking around town in a see through top on a chilly day? I don’t think so. Here she is in New York in her weird yet somehow sexy bandage top, blanket sweater and silly looking old school basketball sneakers. Clearly I know nothing about fashion, I wear boxer

Wearing another one of her daring fashion choices, Rihanna was spotted out in New York City on Monday (June 11) wearing a little less clothing than others on the busy sidewalks.
Leaving little to the imagination, the ?Talk That Talk? songstress sported a two piece lace outfit, cardigan and sneakers, but keeping the cardigan in place didn?t seem to be RiRi?s main goal. As the Barbadian beauty flashed a smile for the shutterbugs, she also flashed them a little more than they were expecting.
In other news, the pop superstar recently took to her Twitter page to defend a recent accusation made by the UK Sun about her Armani ads that were released earlier this year.
According to the newspaper, the 24-year-old singer used Irish model Jahnassa Aicken in portions of her ads and was apparently banned from speaking about the body double.
However, in true Rihanna fashion, she wasted no time getting out her side of the story. The sexy brunette took to her Twitter page writing, ?Ok @thesunnewspaper , this is the only way I could say this to you!!! F**K YOU....AND yo baggy a** condom,? later adding, ?Who is Jahnassa,? and, ?Does she have a tat on her hand too??

| Rihanna goes off on Esquire UK journo who grills her about Chris Brown: justified? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Last week, we reported on Rihanna’s new cover for the July issue of Esquire as well as some scant interview excerpts where she said some ridiculous stuff about how she’s learned to ignore all the attention that comes with (I guess) posting one’s entire life to Twitter and Facebook. Now the full interview has hit newsstands, and it’s a relative doozy.
To recap, Esquire’s developing quite a reputation for writing really rude and bitchy profiles about their cover celebrities. Most recently, Tom Chiarella focused unnecessarily upon Bruce Willis’ bathroom and pear-eating habits. He’s also the same journo who stomped all over Matthew McConaughey?s weekend hospitality tour last year. Then there’s Lisa Taddeo, who attempted to foist her ex-boyfriend’s characteristics onto Bradley Cooper. Essentially, there’s been a fair amount of unprofessionalism and an apparent lack of preparation involved in a lot of these interviews, and it seems that Esquire’s newfound habits have spread across the pond as well.
Now Esquire UK’s Johnny Davis has tried to pull a fast one on Rihanna by grilling her about Chris Brown. At first, I can understand the point he’s trying to make, but he really gets carried away here, and it’s easy to see why Rihanna would get angry at being repeatedly cornered during the interview. Here’s the relevant text, which goes on at length, but I’m including so much of it to illustrate just how far this journo goes:
Esquire: “What has been the Twitter response to the Chris Brown remixes?”
Rihanna: “Some love it, some hate it, some love it but still hate that we did it. But the response in the end has been incredible.”
Esquire: “Was that [the recording session] the first time you?d seen him in a while?”
Rihanna: “When would we have seen each other? We?ve both been working and touring. [changes the subject]. This is really good food.”
Esquire: “It proved quite a controversial thing.”
Rihanna: “Well…definitely. Definitely. The whole thing caught me a little off-guard to be honest… especially the amount of… negative attention. Because it never occurred to me how this was going to be a problem, you know. It really didn?t.”
Esquire: “Because enough time had passed that it was OK?”
Rihanna: “I thought people were gonna be surprised that we finally did a record together, but I didn?t see how people could think it was a bad thing, you know? In my mind, it was just music.”
Esquire: “Some people felt it sent the wrong message.”
Rihanna: [Angrily] “What was that? What message would that be?”
Esquire: “You?d gone back to someone who put you in the hospital.”
Rihanna: [Getting angry] “Oh really? Did I?”
Esquire: “Well… yes.”
Rihanna: “Did I? Did I? Did I?”
Esquire: “You went and recorded with him, yes.”
Rihanna: “Okay. In a completely professional environment. And on a complete professional note. I mean, if I went back to him [as a girlfriend], then that?s a whole different discussion. And if I ever do, then that?s something that y?all have to talk to me about when – if – that ever happens. Until then, look at it for what it is. I think a lot of people jumped to an assumption that was incorrect and they ended up looking stupid.”
Esquire: “The assumption you were dating again?”
Rihanna: “Because of a song. How stupid. If I was together with every collaborator I worked with… f-ck my life.”
Esquire: “Still, the lyrics didn?t do much to dispel that impression. His opening line is ‘Girl I want to f–k you right now/been a long time/I?ve been missing your body.’ You reply: ‘Remember how you did it/If you still want to kiss it/Then come and get it.’”
Rihanna: “That was the tone before he was even on the record. You think it was going to be about hopscotch or jump rope?”
Esquire: “So neither of you for a minute thought ‘This is going to put the cat among the pigeons’?”
Rihanna: “I could never see anything wrong with making music.”
Esquire: “Maybe the thing is that as an artist your personal and private life are intertwined, and you’ve already played on this. The first song you put out after the beating incident was ‘Love the Way You Lie,’ about domestic violence.”
Rihanna: “Absolutely. But ‘Love The Way You Lie’ was me as an artist working with Eminem as an artist, telling our stories individually. On a track together. I’m lost. I?m confused as to what you?re trying to get at.”
Esquire: “That it?s hard to separate the person who?s been the victim of domestic violence and the pop star singing about domestic violence.”
Rihanna: “I know. And that?s how f-cked up society is. There?s a lot of s–t y’all can?t get over. Y’all holding your breath on a lot of stuff that doesn?t matter. When you realize who you live for, and who?s important to please, a lot of people will actually start living. I am never going to get caught up in that. I?m gonna look back on my life and say that I enjoyed it – and I lived it for me – and God. This is turning into a tacky interview. What do you really want to talk about? I?m not here to [talk] about messy s–t.”
Esquire: “It?s just what?s been making the headlines recently.”
Rihanna: “OK! So do you want to talk about everything on Google? Or do you want to talk about stuff that my fans want to know? Let’s get to the real stuff. The stuff that’s important.”
Esquire: “What do your fans want to know?”
Rihanna: “You tell me, as a journalist. You’re asking the questions and I give you the answers. I can’t give the questions too.”
Esquire: “I?m sorry it?s upset you.”
Rihanna: “It hasn’t upset me. It upsets me that you keep asking the same kind of questions about stuff that?s trivial. What’s there to talk about? Are all your questions like that? Let’s move onto the next one.”
Esquire: “It?s just that you haven?t given an interview for a while. A lot has happened.”
Rihanna: “You think I haven’t given an interview for a while? I did four this morning.”
Esquire: “Did they go any better than this?”
Rihanna: “We’ll see [when they come out] tomorrow.”
[From Esquire UK]
Look, I know that Rihanna is a bit of a brat most of the time, and this fact is evident by those who haven’t even heard any of her music but have merely glimpsed her Twitter stream. I also think it was a very stupid move for her to record music with Chris Brown — not only because Rihanna was placing herself that much closer to actually getting back with him (relationshipwise) but also because it sends a very bad message to her young (and not-so-young), impressionable fans. However, this journalist didn’t know how to stop asking the same questions when Rihanna had already made it very clear that she wouldn’t discuss them any further.
It’s like Esquire and Esquire UK have been instructing their journos to deliberately irritate the living hell out of most of the celebrities that they profile over the past few years, and the final interviews have often been so twisted that the journos end up looking like douches themselves. Obviously, critical journalism has its place, but Esquire’s interview method of late has been rather counterproductive.
Incidentally, here’s Rihanna on the set of the new Seth Rogen movie, The End of the World, which also features Paul Rudd, James Franco, and Emma Watson. Rihanna plays herself in the movie, so there’s no danger of her showing off her (nonexistent?) acting skills.

Taking care of her caffeine fix, Rihanna was spotted picking up some coffee in Santa Monica, California last night (June 4).
The ?Russian Roulette? songstress didn?t seem to notice the late hour as she set out for her java beverage, showing off her legs in a pair of short shorts.

Enjoying the fine spring weather on the east coast, Rihanna was spotted making her way around New York City on Saturday (June 3).
The Barbadian beauty was decked out in denim as she strolled around town while prepping for an overseas trip to London, of which she tweeted, "Moving to London in 2 days!!!!!!"
The outing comes just as Rihanna's collaborative video with Coldplay for "Princess of China" hit the web - with the debut coming ahead of its scheduled release on Monday, June 4th.
Talking about how much he loves Rihanna's work on their album Mylo Xyloto, the band's frontman Chris Martin told MTV, "Her bit on our record is my favorite bit. When the song came out, it sort of asked for her to be on it. And I think at this point, we have nothing to lose, and so we've been trying some new things and trying to break down the perceived boundaries between different types of music."
