There?s more on the on-going war between Justin Bieber and Orlando Bloom, but before I get to that, I?d like to discuss this oddly mean story in Page Six. I guess Page Six?s gossipers were asking themselves, ?How did Orlando Bloom get in the position where he looks like a loser for trying to punch Justin Bieber?? And the answer they came up with is ?bad career moves.? Oh, and ?partying.? Which is weird, because while Orly was married, he wasn?t much of a party guy. He wasn?t hitting up the clubs on the reg, you know? Anyway, here?s the Page Six story:
Orlando Bloom is still devoted to Miranda Kerr and would still be married to her if career frustrations weren?t driving him to party too much, friends in London say. Last Wednesday in Ibiza, Bloom took a swing at Justin Bieber, 20, to defend the honor of the mother of his 3-year-old son, Flynn, whom he adores.
?Orlando?s very frustrated right now about his career and his private life. He maintains the split with Miranda was completely amicable ? many of us had no idea they were about to separate,? said one friend. ?He won?t hear a word against Miranda.?
The two split last October, after three years of marriage. The 37-year-old Bloom is said to be bored by the ?Pirates of the Caribbean? blockbusters, and happy he doesn?t have to play Legolas the Elf anymore in ?Lord of the Rings.?
?He really wants edgy indie roles, but there haven?t been too many of them, and the small films he has landed have not taken off,? his pal said. ?This time two years ago he went to South Africa to film ?Zulu? with Forest Whitaker, but it can?t get a release in the US,? the friend said. ?And he still bitterly regrets listening to his agent who advised him to pull out of the Nick Hornby film ?An Education? that went on to be a stellar success with Dominic Cooper in the role.?
Another well-placed source said, ?Orlando is jaded and highly strung right now, and there?s a genuine worry among his [London] friends that he?ll go off the rails. He?s been partying so much in the last year and that partly caused his split with Miranda. He doesn?t know how to say no when guy friends ask him to go out,? the source adds.
Kerr, 31, one of the hardest working models in the world, is totally focused on her career.
?Work to [Bloom] isn?t the be-all and end-all,? said his friend. ?They are both great parents. Flynn will turn out great. But Orlando needs to sort himself out.?
As for his love life: ?He?s had a few dates with [model] Laura Paine and actress Nora Arnezeder, who he met through Zoe Saldana but nothing serious.?
Bloom?s representative had no comment.

Huh. This is a really interesting take on things. Do you think Orlando really won?t listen to anyone who?s like, ?Hey, your wife banged Justin Bieber?? But other than that? yes, this makes sense. I didn?t know Orly was offered Dominic Cooper?s role in An Education ? that was a smaller, supporting part but it would have been interesting if Orlando had played it (the really god male role was played by Peter Sarsgaard though).
As for the continuing Bieber-Bloom Kerfuffle, Page Six also says that Baby Biebs had Orlando nixed from a high-profile party at a nightclub celebrating Riccardo Tisci. All of the Kardashians were there, and Orlando was supposed to attend. Orly even went right up to the door of the club, but Bieber?s people got Orly dis-invited:

After being punched by Bloom in Ibiza during a nightclub argument over supermodel Miranda Kerr, Bieber this time had Bloom barred from entering a party where the two were set to cross paths again. Bieber was inside a private, star-studded 40th-birthday bash Friday night for Givenchy fashion designer Riccardo Tisci ? where guests included Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Diddy, Jared Leto, Kate Moss, Kardashian?s mom Kris Jenner and little sister Kendall Jenner.
Ibiza spies said Bloom was on the way as a late arrival, but that when he got to the starry bash, Bieber, who was already inside, had his entourage insist organizers keep Bloom out. Bloom then left as Bieber partied inside, spies said.

These are weird photos, right? I?m not just imagining that? Orlando Bloom was wandering around a Malibu beach on Saturday with a long-haired hippie dude-friend. Orlando was ?shirtless? in the sense that we can see his chest and all, but he seemed to be wearing his shirt around his neck, like a scarf or a cape. And he also wore purple Free City sweats that I suspect are A) Capris and B) lady?s sweatpants.
So, this is for all of the Orly-loonies. I?m not feeling much, which I guess is weird. I?ve never been into Orlando, even though his body type is my favorite ? I love long, lanky dudes who are not too ?beefy? but sort of rangy and athletic. Orlando has a nice body, he has good hair and he?s pretty. I should be hot for him, right? But I?m not feeling it. Maybe it?s the lady?s sweatpants.
What else is going on with Orlando? Well, some tabloid was trying to stir up some controversy by claiming that Miranda Kerr left him because he drinks and parties too much. It seemed like a weird story and Miranda came out and denied it flatly. He also recently purchased an $4.8 million apartment in NYC very close to Taylor Swift?s place. Which is interesting, especially given the tabloid reports that he?s been pursuing Swifty. I actually want that to happen ? Orlando and Swifty can be twee together. It would be magical.

Here are some photos of Orlando Bloom, receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Some of his friends were in attendance, and Orlando?s son Flynn also joined his dad. Flynn is SO CUTE. Seriously, I?m not even into babies/toddlers, but Flynn has a beautiful face ? he?s a really combination of his parents. I used to see mostly Orlando in Flynn, but nowadays I see some Miranda Kerr too. And here?s my brain-fart moment: I was looking through the photo set and I was like, ?Why in the world is Jerry Bruckheimer there?? Derp, Bruckheimer produced all of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.
Orly?s hair has grown long, hasn?t it? This is the longest he?s worn it in a while. Now, I?ve never been an Orlyloonie, although I am friends with some Orlyloonies and they are super-devoted. I have to think that Orlando?s newly-single status agrees with him ? the longer hair combined with a good suit combined with a good shave. It?s working. He?s still pretty far down on my Top Hotties List, but he?s improving.
I always think it?s nice when a foreign actor gets their star on the Walk of Fame. They often seem so moved, like the star is a sign that Hollywood has really embraced them. Orlando did an interview with Variety ahead of this Walk of Fame ceremony where he discussed his career and what he?s learned. My takeaway is that he?s tired of doing the big, bloated special-effects-heavy movies but he doesn?t know where else he fits in the movie industry and the movie industry doesn?t know where he fits either. If Orlando wants my career advice, I would suggest that he turn to television in a big way. Not network TV, per se, but something offbeat on cable, or even Showtime or HBO (at this point, HBO is more prestigious than most film studios). He doesn?t even have to sign on to a show ? but he could do a miniseries or a TV movie or something. Michael Sheen is doing Masters of Sex, you know? (And Sheen is killing it.) And I keep seeing ads for Jamie Bell in a new American Revolution miniseries on A&E. There?s also Jared Harris on Mad Men, Tom Mison on Sleepy Hollow, Andrew Lincoln on Walking Dead and Jonny Lee Miller on Elementary. My point is that British actors are getting lots of work in Hollywood, but it?s mostly TV work. Orly should ride that wave.

Swaggering into the red carpet affair wearing a skinny blue suit, the "Desolation of Smaug" superstar held his award while standing on his star, grinning from ear to ear as the photos were snapped.

I never really cared about Orlando Bloom. Back in the day, when he was the flavor of the month ? circa 2001 to 2004, or thereabouts ? I think I was full-fledged obsessed with Phillip Seymour Hoffman. I would have given anything to have had a giant poster of PSH in my bedroom, but Orlando was the one with heartthrob status then. Since that time, Orlando plateaued and then fell to earth. His career has been in the dumps for a while, actually. Thankfully, he seems like a nice guy and he won a lot of public sympathy in the wake of his separation from Miranda Kerr (many of us think she was openly screwing around on him throughout their marriage). He seems like a good dad, he?s nice and he?s still pretty. A lot of dudes have managed a career resurgence with a lot less. Will it happen for Orly? I have no idea. But I do know that I sort of enjoyed Orlando?s new Elle interview. He?s not as Pollyanna as I always assumed, but I did roll my eyes a few times.
You?ve often been described as ?swashbuckling.? Do women expect you to be a hero offscreen?
Yeah, I think. I?m sure I was a great disappointment to many women because I wasn?t Errol Flynn. I?m me. I think that?s got some merit.
You broke your back when you were in drama school. Doctors weren?t sure you?d ever walk again. Did you wonder if you?d ever have sex again?
That was the first thing I asked. It was this four-day period where it was all a question mark. But I had this really strong belief that that wasn?t my life. That wasn?t in the cards for me.
‘Romeo and Juliet’ is about love at first sight. Are you a believer?
Totally. I?m completely in love with the idea of love. Maybe I?m all misty about it because I?m playing Romeo. But I really believe in, you know, that sort of heart-to-heart connection.
Do you remember the first time you saw Miranda Kerr?
Um, I do. I do.
Was it love at first sight?
It was a lot of things. And actually, I?d rather not talk about it.
What?s the best advice you ever received about women?

Not really. But I got in the best shape of my life for that movie. It was quite amusing walking around set and seeing the crew avert their eyes at first. Then there were a few more people watching playback. [Laughs] I got so comfortable with it I could brush up behind someone and go, ?Oh, excuse me.?
Was it empowering?
It was. Dude, it is what it is. It?s flesh and bone. It?s what we all are.
‘The Hobbit’ is about small people being brave. Was there a time when you had to be brave with a woman?
As a kid, I would fall in love on the Tube. I?d see a woman and have that moment of, Am I going to speak to her?
You really are a Romeo. Did you have a pickup line?
I?m not that smooth. To a stranger, I?d just say, ?This sounds crazy, but would you like to grab a coffee? I want to talk to you.?
Did that work?
Well, I mean, it was occasionally successful. But I definitely got the odd knock-back.
What?s the most over-the-top thing you?ve done to impress a woman?
I?m more into gestures and creating moments.
When you came into the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ money, were you sending the private jet to bring a girlfriend to visit you? That sort of thing?
There?s been some of that. But again, those are sort of special moments that should be kept in my secret precious box.
You study Buddhism. Care to share a tenet about women?
Well, there are a few. One of them is to the effect of, if you?re going to enjoy the pleasures of life, like a glass of wine or something, you should do that at home and with your wife. Not out.
Fidelity. What else?
?The goal of men and the world should be to make all mothers happy.? Women, as mothers of the earth, deserve the utmost respect. If the goal is to make all mothers happy, we won?t go too far wrong.
That?s a good thought. Do you still work out at Ballet Bodies in L.A.?
I haven?t been for a while, only because I?m in New York.
Does it take a certain kind of confidence for a man to walk into a place called Ballet Bodies?
No, dude. I don?t care. Pilates is great. I?m man enough to walk into Ballet Bodies.

I did however want to pull my own hair at ?Women, as mothers of the earth, deserve the utmost respect.? It?s not that I disagree with him really, but I just dislike all of that hippie, New Age BS. Probably because I?m dead inside. I just feel like anyone who can say that kind of stuff with a straight face is probably going to eventually mansplain feminism to me OR talk earnestly to my vagina.

Showing his support for the arts, Orlando Bloom was on hand for the opening night of ?Waiting for Godot? in Sunday (November 24) in New York City.
Handsome in dark pants and a blazer, the ?Pirates of the Caribbean? hunk, who is currently starring on Broadway in ?Romeo and Juliet,? obliged the shutterbugs outside before heading in for the show.
The play, which stars Partick Stewart and Ian McKellen, is described as: two wanderers wait by a lonely tree, to meet up with Mr. Godot, who they hope will change their lives for the better. Instead, another couple of eccentric travellers arrive, one man on the end of the other's rope.
Playing at the Cort Theater, ?Waiting for Godot? is based on Samuel Beckett?s classic of the same name.

I hate being right about this, just so you know Orlando-loonies. As it turns out, there really wasn?t that much excitement about seeing a 36-year-old man play Romeo in a Broadway revival of Romeo and Juliet. Despite the presence of LOTR fan-girls and despite some high-profile celebrity guests, Orlando Bloom?s Romeo and Juliet is closing early due to ?low ticket sales?. The last performance will be Sunday, December 8th.
The producers of ?Romeo and Juliet? have announced that the show, which was the Broadway debut of Orlando Bloom (?Lord of the Rings?), will close on Dec. 8, more than a month earlier than had been previously planned.
Mr. Bloom stars opposite Condola Rashad in David Leveaux?s production, which opened to so-so reviews Sept. 19 at the Richard Rodgers Theater. It is one of two productions of the tragedy to open in an unusually rich Shakespeare season; the Classic Stage Company?s ?Romeo and Juliet? finished its Off Broadway run Nov. 10.
While the Broadway show is closing two weeks after its initially announced 14-week engagement, producers had been selling tickets through Jan. 12, only to find the box office softening.
For the weekend ending Nov. 17, ?Romeo and Juliet? had the lowest capacity of 33 Broadway shows, filling only 39 percent of its seats, according to the Broadway League.
?Based on a combination of sales and availability of cast members we have determined that Sunday, Dec.8 will be our final performance,? the producers said in a statement.
When it closes the production will have played 27 previews and 93 regular performances.

I?m not surprised. As soon as I saw Orlando trying to maneuver that motorcycle and pretend to graffiti (like he was a ?youth?), I knew that this was going to be a failed experiment. We spend a lot of time talking about how certain actresses are too old to play certain parts (coughNicoleKidmancough), but we need to devote some time to actors like Orlando Bloom. Orlando seemed to be clinging to his old heartthrob status when really, he should have phased that sh-t out years ago. And this is the fundamental problem: I don?t think Orly really knows what to do with his career or what parts he should audition for at this point. I think he?s getting crappy career advice. Why cling to this idea that he?s a leading man for films? Why not slowly build a career as a character actor? Why not try TV work in the UK and in America?

This should be surprising to absolutely no one, but it?s still noteworthy to discuss how pretty much everyone saw this coming. Today, we are all gossip clairvoyants. E! News announced that Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have separated after three years of marriage. Three long years of infidelity rumors, long periods of time apart, some famewhoring and one child. Miranda and Orly dated for three years prior to their wedding, so this marks the end of a six year relationship.
Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are no longer. Sources tell me the couple has split after three years of marriage.
A rep for Bloom exclusively confirms the breakup.
“In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months,” the rep said in a statement. “After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation.”
The statement continued, “Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family.”
The 36-year-old British actor and the 30-year-old Australian Victoria’s Secret model began dating in 2007. They were married in July 2010 after announcing their engagment just a month beforehand.
Kerr gave birth to their son, Flynn, on Jan. 6, 2011.
She and Bloom were last photographed together by the paparazzi on Oct. 8. Their last public appearance was at the opening of Romeo and Juliet on Broadway on Sept. 19. Bloom is currently starring in the production with Condola Rashad.
“When I saw Orlando on Broadway in Romeo and Juliet, I was blown away,” Kerr said in the November issue of Cosmopolitan. “For someone to be able to learn all that and hold the energy to do it every day, six days a week?I have so much respect for him. We don’t run lines though. We keep that very separate. That would be like me asking him to teach me how to catwalk.”
Bloom recently put his Hollywood Hills home on the market for $4.5 million. He had been renting it out for $16,500 a month while he and the family were living in NYC.

When Orlando was filming several roles in Europe, New Zealand and Africa, Miranda camped out in New York, where she was reportedly acting like a single woman. Now that Orlando is tethered to NYC with his Broadway revival of Romeo & Juliet, Miranda has barely been in New York. So, just logistically, it seems like their marriage hasn?t been working for at least the past year, year and a half.
Anyway, it?s sad for Flynn. I?m kind of sad for Orly too, because I do tend to think Miranda was the cheater and that Orlando was faithful and that he really loved her. We?ll see what her next move is. Or should I say, we?ll see what Leonardo DiCaprio?s next move is.

Kicking off what will surely be a long and successful run, Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad knocked it out of the park during opening night of ?Romeo & Juliet? on Broadway last night (September 19).
The ?Pirates of the Caribbean? hunk and the ?Smash? cutie took the stage at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City for the big performance, scoring rave reviews from the audience.
And though Shakespeare?s Romeo is actually a teenager in the story, Orly told press he hasn?t had any issues pulling off the role.
"It has been a joy. I'm not the youngest actor to play Romeo, or the oldest, but I really don't think I could have done justice to the role before now. There's so much more to the character that I've found having had more experience, even being a father. And of course, the play reaches everyone. Who doesn't want to see two kids experience that sheer ecstasy?"

Making his big debut on Broadway, Orlando Bloom greeted fans outside the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City on Saturday (August 24).
Starring as Romeo in the adaptation of ?Romeo and Juliet,? the hunky star gave a thumbs-up to the gathered crowd as he emerged from the building in black pants and a denim button down.
In preparation for the A-lister?s run as the famous Shakespeare character, the theater underwent a $3.5 million make over.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the English actor?s wife, Miranda Kerr, was on hand for the special preview performance.
