Fresh from an air-lift in, Cheryl Cole, Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh were spotted arriving at the ExCel Center in London, England on Wednesday (June 23).
The ?X Factor? judges were all smiles as they graciously waved to their fans before heading inside to watch the auditions. At one point, however, Simon tripped over some equipment and almost fell face first to the ground. Luckily, he caught himself just in time.

Of the ring, Celeb Jeweler, David Mamane says, “I never would have pegged Simon Cowell to be a guy that spends so much money on a woman. But he sure did well!
Adding, “The brilliant cut diamond engagement ring is approximately six carats and an estimated $750,000. You can see that the clarity and color is nothing less than perfect!”

He’s already one of the biggest names in television production and talent development, and now Simon Cowell has signed a whale of a deal with Sony.
According to a report, the “American Idol” mastermind inked a deal worth $500 million this week as he launches Syco TV to produce and sell the formats to “X-Factor” and various “Got Talent” gigs.
Quite pleased with his massive paycheck, Cowell told press, “I have had a fantastic relationship with Sony for many years and I’m delighted we are launching this venture together.”
An insider added, “He is truly in the driving seat. He felt like an employee before, but now he has some real ownership and is thrilled to be side by side with Sony.”

I think I?m the only person around who doesn?t care about American Idol in the least. I?ve never sat down and watched a complete episode, I?ve never voted for the people, and I barely care about the careers that were made on AI. But one thing I do enjoy is talking about the money, and the money situation at AI is very interesting. Anyway, long story short: after more than a year of whining and leaving cryptic hints about how unhappy he was, Simon Cowell has decided that this season of AI (starting tonight) will be his last. One theory: Simon is secretly in love with Paula Abdul, and his heart couldn?t go on without her. Second theory: it?s all about the money.
Simon, out!
Simon Cowell — the tart-tongued British music executive who debuted the cultural phenomenon known as American Idol in 2002 — has announced that he is leaving the hit Fox show when his contract ends after the 2010 season.
He will judge and produce an American version of his British hit music show, The X Factor, on Fox in Fall 2011.
“Because of that this will be my last season on American Idol,” he announced Monday at Fox’s Winter Television Critics’ Association press event at the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, Calif.
“I felt like doing something different,” he explained. “I want to leave Idol this year bigger and better than it’s been before.”
As for rumors that former Idol judge Paula Abdul could serve as a judge on The X Factor, he said: “I adore Paula. Whatever happens with her, I will be working with her in some capacity because I miss her.”
Rumors of Cowell, 50, exiting have been floating for weeks.
Late last year, his brother Tony said on his weekly podcast The Cowell Factor that “a press statement is being prepared which will confirm what everybody expected: Simon will leave Idol at the end of 2010 to concentrate on bringing the American version of The X Factor to U.S. TV in 2011.”
Cowell was mum when new judge Ellen DeGeneres asked about his rumored departure in a recent Entertainment Weekly interview. “If Simon goes, I go!” she said. Cowell laughed and squirmed when she said that before adding: “Oh, Ellen! … That?s quite a tricky situation you’ve put me into! I think right now we have to concentrate on the next season and just get through that and worry about everything else afterwards.”
Last September, it was announced that DeGeneres would take a permanent seat on the judging panel after Abdul quit. The show’s host Ryan Seacrest also renewed his contract for the next three seasons. Last season’s new addition, Kara DioGuardi and Randy Jackson are under contract until the end of the current season.
Last year, Cowell was the top earning man on prime-time U.S. Television, according to Forbes, earning an $75 million last year.

So, is this the death of Idol? Can it go on with Simon? Maybe. But probably not. My prediction is that the ratings will get worse and worse this season, AI will return next year, and then next season (the first non-Cowell season) will be the last. Though I can?t find an online article for this, I saw on the Today Show this morning that Fox was offering Cowell more than $100 million to stay on Idol, and begin The X Factor America. Simon walked away, claiming that he wanted the ?challenge? of starting The X Factor by himself, which I kind of admire.
Paula Abdul?s replacement Ellen DeGeneres quipped about Simon?s move on a show airing today. Ellen said: ?He announced he’s leaving on my first day. I’m trying not to take it personally. But seriously, I am going to be very, very sad to see him go, because I think he’s made the show what it is. He’s a huge part of that show but he wanted a change. I wish him all the luck in the world hosting The Tonight Show.? Chuckle? that?s actually not the worst idea!

Simon Cowell announced today at the Fox Winter TCA press tour day that this will be his last season on American Idol because he will be back on Fox in 2011 with his hit UK show The X-Factor according to The Live Feed. I think that Fox is making a huge mistake by letting Simon leave American Idol because without him I am not sure I will want to watch. It will kind of be like how I have been watching So You Think You Can Dance, DVR the show and fast forward through whatever the Judges have to say. I mean when was the last time Randy Jackson and/or Kara DioGuardi said anything that was useful or interesting? And when it comes to Ellen DeGeneres she better do a sh!tload better job than she did when she was on SYTYCD because if I want to hear cheesey one-liners I will go to a bar in a tight low cut shirt with my cleavage showing and let the guys do that. Wow just writing that last paragraph, I am not sure I even want to watch American Idol this season and it starts up tomorrow.
When it comes to X-Factor, I am not sure I will want to watch another competition show where we have to pick a winner. I am seriously thinking of cleaning out my DVR and getting rid of a few them when they come back on and I am sure I am not the only one. I mean in a year and half from now won’t most of us be talent showed out?
The one positive thing is at least Simon Cowell won’t be getting the rumored $40 million a year to do AI if he stayed because in these times no one is worth that amount of money. Do you know how many families could live off of that amount of money?

On Monday (January 11), Simon Cowell shocked "American Idol" fans by announcing that he was leaving the show at the completion of its ninth season, with plans to launch a U.S. version of "The X Factor" in fall 2011.
But, for those who follow "Idol" for a living — bloggers and industry experts — the news was pretty much anything but a shock. Rather, it was the culmination of months of rampant speculation, fueled by members of Cowell's family and his impending launch of "The X Factor." And, really, it's sort of become par for the course at this point.

After months of rumors and speculation, it was confirmed Monday (January 11) that Simon Cowell will leave the judges' panel of "American Idol," America's most popular TV show, to launch the American version of his other talent show, "The X Factor."
In a press release, Fox announced that "The X Factor" will launch in the U.S. in fall 2011 with Cowell, creator of the show he launched in the U.K. in 2004, serving as both executive producer and a judge on the U.S. version.
Cowell announced his "Idol" departure at the Television Critics Association Press Tour, according to Entertainment Weekly. "We did talk about me staying on both shows but when we looked at the practicalities of that, it was impossible," Cowell told the press. "In my opinion, it's like having a good player and a good football team. The two have to be OK together. I believe it's not my show, but it's still very close to me. We made sure when we did this, that I would be protected. I'm confident it will continue to be the #1 show. Everyone is committed to keeping it that way."

Aren?t these the best, most incredible photos of Simon Cowell ever? God, this guy is such a douche. I don?t even mean that really - I think Simon has as many good characteristics as he has bad, but his shirt and general appearance in these photos is killing me. He just looks like the kind of guy who sticks his hand up his secretary?s skirt. He looks like he?s auditioning to be an extra in The Sopranos. He looks like the kind of guy who reek of Axe Body Spray and baby oil. He looks like he dressed up as a dorky John Travolta circa Saturday Night Fever. He looks like he works part-time at a strip club. He looks like he wants to produce MTV?s new show ?Jersey Shore?. Oh, thank you, Simon Cowell. I enjoyed these!
That?s not even the only funny Simon Cowell news! Simon recently gave an interview to the Daily Mail (via NYDN) where he talks about how he loves his Botox and his hand waxes. And no, ?hand waxes? is not a euphemism, I checked. Simon actually gets his hand hair waxed off. Ew?
Simon Cowell?s known for his vanity, but he?s taken his preoccupation with appearance to a whole new level with a hot-wax beauty treatment that left him with silky smooth hands, according to the Daily Mail.
The multimillionaire music mogul unveiled his newly hairless hands to 14 million viewers last night on ITV?s ?X Factor,? where he is a judge, according to the Daily Mail. His no-longer hirsute knuckles and fingers were in sharp contrast to his forearms, which are still covered by dark, thick hair, according to the paper.
Cowell, who reportedly displays his hairy chest in the Caribbean during the holiday season, according to the Mail, has said he?s also gotten injections to smooth out the lines in his face.
?I?ve had Botox,? Cowell told the Daily Mail. ?But, then again, pretty much everyone I know has, except Cheryl Cole.?
With men now spending a reported $38 billion a year in the U.S. on grooming and plastic surgery, it?s hardly a surprise that waxing is getting so popular, says Michele Probst, celebrity makeup artist and founder of Menaji Skincare.
Cowell?s hand wax came as no surprise to her.
?Look at Simon?s hair. Obviously, he?s a very hairy man,? Probst said. ?If he is getting his hands waxed, I am sure he is getting his back waxed and maybe his brows and ears, too. Almost any celebrity in film gets a lot more waxing done than you know about.?
The somewhat painful form of manscaping is becoming more popular with noncelebs as well. ?Waxing for men in general has gotten huge,? says Agatha Kranidiotis, wax specialist at Mania?s Hairstyling in Park Ridge, N.J.
?Men feel cleaner and more confident when they wax. It?s not popular any more to have hair in certain places.? Popular sites for men to wax include backs, legs, noses, brows and ears, says Kranidiotis, who charges $20 for a hand wax.
Sophia Murdechi is the waxing specialist at Valery Joseph, a Madison Ave. salon, where a man?s hand wax sets you back $50.
?Men are just more comfortable with waxing today,? Murdechi says. ?A lot of men don?t like when the little hairs grow on the fingers.?
[From The New York Daily News]
I guess waxing your hands isn?t the worst thing, honestly. The only place I don?t really want hair on a man is on his back. Other than that, I just take hair on men as a given. Maybe it?s just me, but I like a hirsute man. So I guess I won?t go for Simon then - he?s too into his waxing and his upkeep. I bet he gets a bikini wax too.
