TMZ reported a few weeks ago that Ashton Kutcher had an enormous double decker trailer as his home away from home on the Two and a Half Men set. As we’ve also heard, Ashton is currently the highest paid actor on television with this new, untested gig and is pulling in at least $700,000 an episode. TMZ did a follow up that Ashton’s take home was actually higher than that, from around $800,000 to $900,000 an episode. Either way, he’s making big money and he has a big ass trailer to go along with that. E! had photos of the exterior and interior of those type of trailers, and I’m not exaggerating when I say that it’s nicer and bigger than my apartment. Ashton’s trailer is outrageous. It looks twice the size of one of those 50s diners, and the design is reminiscent of one too. E! reports that the trailer is 1,000 square feet.
Wait, this is a trailer?!
We knew the folks over at Two and a Half Men are enjoying Ashton Kutcher on set, but we didn’t know they loved him enough to fork over $8,750 a week for him.
Reports are saying that Charlie Sheen’s replacement will be staying in one of these babies while shooting the sitcom.
Let’s take a look inside!
This luxurious 1,000 square-foot Anderson Mobile Estate includes two bathrooms, a kitchen with granite counter tops, a wireless touch screen that controls heat, air conditioning, brightness and the blinds, and a conference area.
Oh did we mention there’s seven 60-inch 3-D plasma TVs, also? Yeah, we’re serious.
As if that wasn’t enough, the mobile home also includes side sections and a second floor that hydraulically emerges from the main body of the vehicle.
In case you’re wondering how much pocket change you’d have to set aside to own one of these bad boys, it’d be somewhere around $2 million.
Considering how much bank Kutcher will be making per episode, he just might make this purchase permanent.

That’s insane. At first didn’t buy those reports that Ashton was being a diva by scoring a big trailer, but now that I see the extent of it I do. It doesn’t seem like the studio would volunteer to set him up in one in those monstrous things. It’s not like they’re clamoring to get him a trailer that could double as a house.

Kelso is cashing in on Charlie Sheen’s crazy. According to TV Guide, Ashton Kutcher is currently the highest paid sitcom actor at $700,000 an episode. He makes double what Laurence Fishburne did, $350,000 an episode, for his stint on CSI. Kutcher’s salary is still less than Charlie Sheen was pulling, $1.2 million an episode, but it certainly remains substantial. Leads on series usually make less than $150,000. It of course remains to be seen how well Two and Half Men will perform with Ashton at the helm, but he’s cheaper than Charlie at least.
Meanwhile Details has a glowing cover story on Ashton in which they portray him as some kind of tech guru. He seems overrated to me, and I still remember his failed attempt at entering the Internet gossip sphere, his short-lived series in which he tried to punk the celebrity press, and the fact that he hired a PR company that regularly spammed blogs with ads for it. He’s just an actor on Twitter and Facebook, but I have to give him some credit for being interested in technology and following it closely. Ashton also addresses the Twitter flame war he got in with the Village Voice when they called him out for using false numbers to discuss human trafficking. He handles it better than he did before, I’ll say that.
Details: The Village Voice just called you out for citing spurious statistics in your advocacy against child prostitution. You fired back on Twitter that their online adult classifieds constituted “a digital brothel,” then encouraged Disney, Domino’s, and American Airlines to pull their advertising. Is that what you’re talking about?
Ashton Kutcher: I think that was irresponsible journalism on their part, but I don’t want to speak about the company.
Details: Okay. Generally speaking, what is it about platforms like Twitter that allows individuals to take on institutions?
Ashton Kutcher: You can’t just say shit anymore, because people have the ability to speak up. At the same time, with the Village Voice thing, I definitely have to take responsibility for misrepresenting the data. It’s forcing transparency both ways.
Details: The line between online life and real life is getting blurrier. Is that a good thing?
Ashton Kutcher: I wouldn’t bifurcate the two. I wouldn’t say you have an online life and a real life. I think technology is just mapping and organizing what already exists. If you’re an asshole offline, you’re probably an asshole online.
Details: As a celebrity, you’re used to managing the boundary between your public and private selves. Is that something we all have to do now?
Ashton Kutcher: You have to learn to negotiate it, or you can choose not to participate. It’s almost like a manifestation of God. People used to behave morally because they thought God was always watching?in some ways God today is the collective, and the collective is watching.
Details: Sounds kind of creepy. Do you think privacy is overrated?
Ashton Kutcher: I think privacy is valuable. You don’t have to share everything, and it’s healthy to occasionally hit the pause button and ask yourself if you’re oversharing. But at the end of the day, if you’re not doing anything wrong you don’t have anything to hide.
Details: What do you think is coming that will blow our minds five or ten years from now?
Ashton Kutcher: I think the big next wave will be wearable technologies. Your phone will be your true PC, and these technologies will act as your mouse and keyboard. You’ll have a high-fashion bracelet that will perform functions for you?it’ll track your health, your movement, your sleep, your activity?and by wearing a couple of rings, you’ll be able to type in the air or take pictures with your fingers. There’ll be a device that will track your eye movement, whether it’s an earpiece with a camera or a necklace that can project and record. That Tom Cruise movie, Minority Report, got a lot of it right from what I’ve seen.
Details: What about old media? You’re returning to television soon, taking over for Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men. Who’s your character going to be?
Ashton Kutcher: It’s somewhere between an alien and Jesus Christ, but I can’t be more specific than that.
Details: Have you talked with Charlie about filling his old job?
Ashton Kutcher: I don’t know him. I’ve never met him in my life. But, you know, he sent me congratulations and wished me well. Via Twitter.

I think Ashton is off about wearable technology. His description of rings that allow you to type in the air sounds ridiculous, like it might be technically possible but I doubt that people will want to type in the air using some kind of ring. I agree that computers and smart phones will get smaller and more portable. In terms of the Minority Report comparison, remember those little spider camera things in that movie? We’re getting close to that with drone technology now, which is basically just sticking a smart phone on to a remote controlled devices.
That was really weird the way he claimed God was “the collective.” Ashton is a member of the Kabbalah cult, which is a paid-for distorted version of the Jewish mystic religion. That could be where he got that concept of God as everything and everyone. Is he saying that his moral behavior is partially due to the fact that he can so easily get busted as a celebrity? I’m probably giving him too much credit.
Ashton still seems dim to me and in no way worth $700k an episode, but it’s not like Charlie Sheen deserved over a million an episode either.
Oh in terms of that Details cover it looks ’shopped into oblivion to me. There are no lines whatsoever on Ashton’s face. Kaiser thinks he looks hot without the beard though.

Two and a Half Men has started filming again, and the first order of business is to kill off the main character so that they can explain why Charlie Sheen will never again grace our television screens in his seminal role playing himself. TMZ had a very spoiler-filled story over the weekend detailing the way that Charlie’s death is explained. They’ve since removed it, but you can still read the details here. (Spoilers obviously, although the cause of death for Charlie might change anyway.)
The funeral for Charlie’s character, Charlie Harper, features prominently during the first show. Here’s more, from OMG!, which also contains some spoilers if you care. New lead Ashton Kutcher is playing an Internet billionaire:
The actor, who plays Walden Schmidt, an Internet billionaire with a broken heart, filmed his first episode of the CBS sitcom Friday night, which included the funeral of Charlie Sheen’s character, TMZ.com reports.
In attendance at Charlie Harper’s funeral were Alan (Jon Cryer), Jake (Angus T. Jones), Charlie’s stalker Rose (Melanie Lynskey) and one of Charlie’s exes (Jenny McCarthy), sources present for the taping told the site. The audience was only privy to certain scenes of the premiere, as to not reveal Charlie’s actual cause of death. Some sort of “accident” was the only thing mentioned in front of the live studio audience, though multiple takes were shot. (We’re guessing it’s an overdose of tiger blood, no?)
Meanwhile, Sheen’s not grieving over the death of Charlie Harper. The actor, who was fired in March Warner Bros. TV after months of growing tension between Sheen and creator Chuck Lorre, tells TMZ he plans to celebrate the end of his character. “I will be watching my fake funeral, attended by my fake ex-girlfriends, from my very, very real movie theater, with my very real hotties in tow.”

So everything is fine with Charlie because he has his “very real” bought and paid for “hotties” that have taken the place of the last set of “goddesses” who just couldn’t bear to stick around for more than a couple of months. You would think that getting paid tens of thousands of dollars a month to service one guy would be enough to keep a hooker interested, but for the women working on Charlie it obviously wasn’t.
As far as whether Ashton is passable in the lead role on Men, TMZ reports that some audience members say he had good chemistry with Jon Cryer. At least one person said he was “dry and didn’t quite own the character.” Given what we know about the guy’s acting ability, I would put my money on the latter. It hardly matters when the show is as consistently hokey as Two and Half Men, though.

Fresh off of shooting his very first episode of "Two and a half Men," Ashton Kutcher was on hand for the 2011 Teen Choice Awards in Universal City, CA on Sunday (August 7).
The "Punk'd" hunk mingled amongst the Gibson Amphitheatre red carpet before heading inside to prepare for his presenter duties and collect his trophy for Choice Movie Actor: Romantic Comedy.
Hosted by Kaley Cuoco, the 2011 Teen Choice Awards air live on FOX from 8-10PM ET while featuring performances by Selena Gomez and The Scene, Demi Lovato, will.i.am and OneRepublic.
Along with Mr Kutcher, other stars slated to take the stage to dole out surfboards to the night's lucky winners are Taylor Lautner, Cameron Diaz, the Kardashian sisters, Justin Bieber and Victoria Justice.

CBS released a teaser for the new season of Two and a Half Men starring Jon Cryer, Angus T. Jones and Charlie Sheen replacement, Ashton Kutcher. They’re all naked behind a billboard which promises all will be revealed 09.19.11. I gather that’s the day when I won’t be watching the Two and a Half Men premiere.
EW says CBS and WB will be reusing this ad by just changing the text around. If you think about it, that’s pretty lazy considering they’re paying these guys high six figures. They could have at least done something like this.

Ashton Kutcher is engaged in a little twitter war with the Village Voice over their adult-oriented personals section, backpage.com. Ashton is criticizing The Voice for allegedly providing a forum for underage prostitution and human trafficking, which is his cause celebre through his recently formed DNA Foundation. This all sounds very important and laudable, only The Voice just ran a piece that sheds light onto the issue of human trafficking and questions whether it’s as widespread and as ignored as Ashton and his wife Demi’s foundation make it out to be. Both Ashton and The Voice have vested interests in this very hot button issue.
Don’t mess with Ashton Kutcher! That’s the message he and his seven million Twitter followers have made very clear after he became embroiled in a bitter war with Village Voice, which he claims is profiting from victims of child prostitution.
The actor began his quest to bring down the paper after it published an article about he and his wife, Demi Moore. Village Voice claimed the pair had used exaggerated numbers when campaigning against sex-trafficking.
Ashton then used his Twitter social networking page to contact huge businesses such as American Airlines, Disney and Domino’s Pizza to get them to drop their advertising from the site.
“Hey @disney @dominos are you aware that you are advertising on a site that owns and operates a digital brothel?” he tweeted.
Now despite stating he is ready to put his battle ‘to bed’ he has launched another scathing attack on his blog.
Kutcher writes that Village Voice has a vested interest in downplaying the problem of sex trafficking. The paper and its website end with a huge section called backpage.com that advertises jobs, cars for sale and apartments for rent, and also escort services, “body rubs” and “adult jobs.”
“The Village Voice has repeatedly attempted to reduce sex trafficking to an ‘under-age’ issue,” Ashton wrote.
“And while they claim to spend millions of dollars fighting underage sex trafficking, they fail to address the countless number of girls that are over the age of 18 and being forced by their pimps and traffickers to post ads on Backpage.com. I have personally had conversations with many of these victims and have heard horror stories confirming this.”
Kutcher launched a campaign called ‘Real Men Don’t Buy Girls’ but was angered by the article published by the Voice called, ‘Real Men Get Their Facts Straight’.
In his latest blog he suggests is selling victims next to couches and bicycles and claims they are trying to ‘discredit’ his fight against the cause.
He signs off with a warning: “As for advertisers, it’s my intention to continue to make them aware of who you are and what happens on your platform. They can do with that what they choose.”

I get that Ashton and Demi want to protect kids and women from human trafficking and that’s admirable. Whether it’s 200,000, 800 or 8 kids that are being exploited yearly, it’s one too many. It’s good that this guy has a cause and that he’s raising awareness of it, even if it may be slightly misguided. (And I’m not saying it is, although I found the Voice article convincing.) However, he’s now going after the Village Voice and their advertisers hard right after they posted a negative article questioning his knowledge of the issue he claims to hold dear. This is a guy who blogs Internet hoaxes without checking snopes and has admitted he’s prepared for armageddon. The ad compaign for this charity was ridiculous. I don’t find Ashton an authority on much and it doesn’t help his argument that he’s striking out at the Voice right after they ran a well researched article questioning his cause.
However, Ashton did post some letters to his website from the Seattle Police department asking the Village Voice to help combat underage prostitution by running an age verification ID check for the classifieds in their “backpage” section. This seems completely reasonable and like something the Voice should institute. It just strikes me that there’s a better way to ensure that happens.

In September, we?re coming up on the one-year anniversary of Star Magazine breaking the story that Ashton Kutcher bones random club girls on his wife?s sofa. I think the real story is still unknown - how many young, attractive girls are going to be on the Two and a Half Men set? Will Ashton partake in some casting couch decisions? Having recently been announced as Charlie Sheen's replacement, Ashton Kutcher isn't ready for too much of a commitment when it comes to "Two and a Half Men".
According to the Wall Street Journal, the "Punk'd" funnyman has only inked a one-year-deal with CBS for the hit comedy series.
For his work, Kutcher will reportedly rake in a handsome $750,000 per episode with bonuses being a possibility based on performance.
The one-year deal could be lengthened if CBS picks up licensing rights for the show - which come to an end at the end of the 2011-2012 season.

They’re promoting Ashton’s new role on Two in a Half Men, in which he’s stepping in for Charlie Sheen but is playing another character. I have to say he looks really good with Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones. Jones is 17 now and is growing up into such a cute young man. TV Guide has a good explanation of how Kutcher landed this gig, and they quote an analyst who says that while his addition might make the show popular in the short term, it’s uncertain whether Kutcher has staying power. I agree with that entirely, but I could be wrong. What’s more is that a lot of the names floated in the press as up for consideration for Charlie’s job, apart from Hugh Grant, have supposedly been wrong:
It almost didn’t happen. After Sheen self-imploded and was fired from Two and a Half Men in March, the studio, network and Lorre began looking at ways to evolve the show. “From the beginning, Chuck had been keen on formulating a plan and a new character,” says one insider.
But the clock was ticking. Lorre and Co. aimed high. “They were going after movie stars,” a source says. Lorre was following the model of sitcom Spin City, which replaced star Michael J. Fox in 2000 with a film actor ? coincidentally, Sheen.
Red herrings started appearing in the press: names such as Bob Saget, John Stamos and Jeremy Piven. “All the names speculated were totally wrong,” the source says. From the very beginning, Kutcher was on Lorre’s short list. The idea had big merits. He was a sitcom vet, having spent eight seasons on Fox’s That ’70s Show. Both he and Lorre got their first big career breaks inside venerable sitcom powerhouse Carsey-Werner, the studio behind That ’70s Show, as well as Roseanne, Cybill and Grace Under Fire (three shows where Lorre cut his teeth).
According to New York magazine’s website, Vulture, it was CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler who first broached the idea with Kutcher’s lawyer, her old friend Robert Offer. But rather than put their eggs in one basket, Lorre, CBS and Warner Bros. TV were pursuing different tracks with three actors, including Hugh Grant. The idea of Grant had its internal fans, and would have dramatically changed the direction of Two and a Half Men. Grant also might have avoided many direct comparisons to Sheen because of his completely different, self-deprecating acting style. But there were also insiders who felt that Kutcher made more sense, given his ease on a multicamera sitcom stage.
Ultimately, Grant passed. “He got cold feet at the last minute,” says one insider close to the talks, and Kutcher became a front-runner.
The actor also comes with serious social-media cred, having garnered nearly 7 million followers on Twitter. And his production company, Katalyst, is already set up at Warner Bros. TV’s Warner Horizon division. Before that, Katalyst was based at CBS TV Studios, so Kutcher has worked closely with both companies for years.
For Kutcher, the high-profile gig makes sense for other reasons: His film career has generated only so-so results. This winter’s No Strings Attached garnered a decent $71 million at the box office, but last summer’s Killers was a flop. Plus, the stakes are relatively low: If Two and a Half Men stays strong, he’s a hero. If not, viewers simply don’t want to watch without Sheen.
Kutcher will also become one of the highest-paid stars in prime time, pulling down between $625,000 and $700,000 an episode (Sheen was earning $1.3 million an episode). “Ashton knows it’s a good gig,” says one insider.
“I think it’s a really good idea,” adds a rival network executive. “He’s a guy that people like. I think people definitely will want to check it out.”
Media analyst Steve Sternberg believes a Kutcher-led Men will get big sampling early on, but he harbors doubt about its long-term health: “I’m not sure Ashton Kutcher is as popular as the media thinks,” he says. “His recent movies have not performed well…[but] it could just be that he’s best-suited for TV.”
In a statement, Kutcher said, “I’m going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people.” Lorre, meanwhile, called him “talented, joyful and just plain remarkable.”

I wonder which other actor Lorre was considering for the part. Could it have been Rob Lowe as rumored? He would have also been a great choice. Ashton I’m kind of “meh” on. He does look superficially good here as part of the team, but all I have to do is remember any show or movie I’ve seen him in and I come back to reality. He’s a goofball, but maybe that will play well on television again.
At the upfronts, Ashton was very positive about his new job. He said “It’s awesome to be here. I could not be more excited. I never in my 13 years of show business received more e-mails and phone calls congratulating me for this job. It’s almost like I won the lotto. And I kind of did… I got the best job in show business and I?m excited about that.”
We’ll see how he feels about it in a year or two, but over $16 million a season has got to be nice for a guy who used to make just two to three sh*t movies a year.

In news that shows just how out of touch and clueless the producers of Two and A Half Men must be, they’ve hired Kelso to replace the lead formerly played by gold-toothed megalomaniac, Charlie Sheen. Ashton Kutcher will star on the show now that Charlie Sheen is unable to do anything other than smoke crack and talk about how great he is. He’ll also get a “huge payday.” I think this means that 1. the show just jumped the shark with fireworks going off in the background and 2. Kutcher is the new Ted McGinley. We just heard that Hugh Grant was in final talks to join the show when he pulled out unexpectedly due to the work commitment. So Kutcher is their second choice, and I bet it’s one they’ll regret soon enough.

‘Two and a Half Men’ Seeking Sheen Replacement as CBS, Warner Bros. Agree to Split Cost
Two sources close to the deal-making tell The Hollywood Reporter that the actor is putting the final touches on a deal to replace Charlie Sheen as the star of TV?s No. 1 comedy. CBS, studio Warner Bros. and Kutcher?s reps at CAA declined to comment on the situation but a deal is said to be all but signed. The exact dollar figure he will be paid is not known but a source says Kutcher is getting a ?huge payday? to join the hit sitcom.
The deal came together quickly in the wake of Hugh Grant passing on the opportunity to join the show. Now sources say Men creator Chuck Lorre has crafted a storyline to introduce Kutcher in a way that satisfies the network and studio. ?It?s really funny,? says one source. ?People are going to love it.?
Broadcasting & Cable reported Thursday that Kutcher?s name was surfacing as a possible Sheen replacement. The actor, who starred in the winter hit No Strings Attached, would be taking first regular series gig since catapulting to stardom on Fox?s That 70?s Show. He also executive produced the hit MTV hidden-camera series Punk?d, among others.
Kutcher brings a youthful fan base to the CBS show, as well as a big online profile with 6.7 million Twitter followers, which could help CBS promote the show.
“Chuck’s really happy,” another source says.

I’ve watched a few episodes of this show in light of Sheen’s spectacular meltdown, and Kutcher is in no way similar to Charlie’s character. He’s usually typecast as a doofus, not a smooth talking womanizer. (Although he may be one in real life.) This steaming pile of show with stupid jokes and very contrived plot lines is inexplicably popular around the world. I’ll reluctantly admit that Kutcher could step in with his floppy hair and awkward cluelessness and steal the show. I never understand why people watch it anyway. It’s like the TV equivalent of a cold cheeseburger. It only hits the spot when you’re incredibly hungover and there’s nothing else in the fridge.
UPDATE BY KAISER: TMZ reports that Ashton has signed on for $600,000 an episode. In what world is he worth that much?
