She?s always up for a swanky night out and earlier tonight (June 19) Emmy Rossum arrived at the 2014 Critics' Choice Television Awards.
All primped and pampered, the ?Shameless? star gave a big smile for her fans as she waited patiently to be escorted inside the Beverly Hills Hilton.
With so many worthy contenders this year, each and every category is truly a toss-up, though only one nominee will be crowned a winner.
As for the leaders, ?The Big Bang Theory,? ?Fargo,? ?The Good Wife,? ?Masters of Sex,? and ?The Normal Heart? are each up for five trophies.

Emmy Rossum officially won the entire night last night at the American Ballet Theatre 2014 Opening Night Spring Gala with this incredibly cool hairstyle.
?I thought it was incredibly sweet and moving to see two people who clearly love eachother celebrate one of their victories. #MichaelSam #NFL,? Emmy tweeted earlier in the day about NFL player Michael Sam, who kissed his boyfriend after he was drafted.

Emmy Rossum’s fashion can be somewhat hit or miss. She looked pretty banging at last year’s Met Gala, when she was in Donna Karan for the “punk” theme. Emmy was on-point this year in floral Carolina Herrera. This is a gorgeous gown in a very classic cut and retro print. She wears it well. I really like this gown for this event and her styling is spot on. I’m impressed.
Colin Firth’s lady Livia Giuggioli also went for glamour in red Carolina Herrera. She was one of many women in red. This is another gown that fits the night to a T. Look at her amazing necklace and elegant black gloves. So pretty.
Livia tweeted this photo of herself cozying up to Benedict Cumberbatch at dinner last last. A lucky bitch on many levels.
Chiwetel Ejiofor and his girlfriend, Sari Mercer, were another handsome British couple at the Met. Sari’s floral Dolce & Gabanna dress is just too much, though. I thought this monstrosity was Givenchy. There’s too much going on with all the floral appliques, the flouncy details all over and the pale peach color. Who styled her with that horrible satin matching purse? I feel sorry for Sari, but only a little bit because she still gets to go home with Chiwetel.

Solange was also in peach, in a 3.1 Phillip Lim gown that didn’t know whether it wanted to be a flapper or a ball gown. It’s like two different styles tried to have a baby. There’s too much gathered fabric. Maybe this dress is a triumph in that it’s difficult to execute. It sure looks complicated enough, but it’s not flattering. Her hair and makeup are well done though.

Looking very springy this afternoon, Emmy Rossum stopped at The Face Place in Los Angeles on Thursday (March 27).
The "Shameless" star was fresh and fabulous in a light Pink sweater, lacy white skirt, and light Pink flats as she carried a fresh white handbag back to her vehicle.
Tomorrow, the 27-year-old star will appear on "The Queen Latifah Show" to chat about her hit Showtime series.
When an Emmy nomination for her role was suggested in a recent interview with Forbes, Ms. Rossum replied, "That?s very, very kind. I don?t hold my breath for those things because I would probably expire. It would be nice but just the fact that I get to do this kind of work and people give a hoot, that feels good."

Kicking off her week with a flight, Emmy Rossum arrived at LAX International Airport in Los Angeles on Sunday (March 16).
The 27-year-old actress kept it casual in a red sweater, black pants and boots with a Knicks hat as she made her way through the busy terminal.
Later in the evening, Emmy informed her fans on Twitter that she managed to "contract" frostbite while shooting a few scenes for her hit series "Shameless" in January.
While shooting her latest episode, Miss Rossum tweeted, "I got frostbite on my feet shooting this shoe-less scene. And I can tell you firsthand, it's not a good look."
She then jokingly added, "Gives new meaning to 'cold feet.'"

Welcoming spring after a long winter, Emmy Rossum attended Real Simple's Botanical Beauty cocktail party in New York City on Saturday (March 15).
The "Shameless" star looked adorable in a sleeveless blue, black, and white dress with pointy black heels and a matching clutch.
Recently, the 27-year-old actress sat down with HuffPost Live to talk about her busy career in both acting and music.
Asked if she sleeps, Emmy replied, "Sleep is important. I'm a huge napper...I literally nap between interviews."

These are photos of Emmy Rossum on the LA set of Shameless (with snow!) as her Fiona character searches for drugs as she wears a house-arrest ankle bracelet. Fiona is on one amazing downward spiral this season. I am not up to speed on episodes (I only watched the first season so far), but Dustin at Pajiba has been discussing Fiona’s fate in detail.
Emmy Rossum visited CBS This Morning to promote the show. This girl (thankfully) is so drastically different from her character. She’s already talked once about how she does not share Fiona’s quality of promiscuity. Fiona’s also gotten herself into serious legal trouble involving her character’s occasional cocaine use. Emmy says she’s never done drugs. Ever. Here are some excerpts from the interview:
On fan reactions: Rossum, said that she used to get “a lot of love” from fans of the show, but since her character has been in “such a downward spiral” it’s been different. “I was at Carnegie Deli and a guy came up to me and was like, ‘Coke whore!’ And kept walking, so it’s definitely intense.”
Fiona’s plight: “She’s been kind of the core of this lower-income family from Chicago for a long time. Parents are M.I.A. She’s kind of trying to raise all of her siblings by herself and this year she’s kind of struggling with some substance abuse problems that … she’s kind of genetically predisposed to having.”
Emmy’s snorting scenes: “(The milk powder is) going somewhere into your brain cavity. It’s not good. I told them they could have two takes per nostril and that was it. I was putting a limit on it.”
The show’s success: “It’s dark, but there’s a lot of humor to it. I think we deal with things in a kind of very brazen way. There’s nothing we’re scared of. We kind of push the limits. At the core it’s really about a family and loyalty. And that’s why people actually care about the characters and invest in them the way they do.”
On William H. Macy: “He’s a wonderful actor. It’s really fun to work with him.”

I have no trouble believing that Emmy's never done drugs. Not everyone in Hollywood attends all-night ragers and acts like Lindsay Lohan. I suspect most actors are trying to do their jobs, and drugs interfere with that. It really is terrible that a guy walked up to Emmy and called her a "coke wh-re." Can't people separate actors from their characters? I guess not.

During her interview, the 27-year-old actress chatted about the downfall of her scandalous character in the hit series ?Shameless.?
?She?s been kind of the core of this lower-income family from Chicago for a long time,? Miss Rossum explained about Fiona. ?She?s kind of trying to raise all of her siblings by herself and this year she?s kind of struggling with some substance abuse problems that? she?s kind of genetically predisposed to having.?
