Evangeline Lilly covers the December issue of Fashion magazine to promote her role in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Yeah, I know … another Hobbit movie. Apologies to all the Middle-Earth fans out there, but this franchise befuddles me.
Evangeline apparently styled herself for the shoot, which you can see here. That’s kinda cool, but Evangelina was smug about this accomplishment: “I don?t want to just model. Anyone can do that.” She chose some Chanel, Julien MacDonald, and Zuhair Murad ensembles for the editorial. Evangeline did fine, but she shouldn’t quit her Hobbit job. This interview is more interesting than the shoot:
Her “androgynous” fashion sense: “I haven’t even scratched the surface of fashion yet. If you are not a clearly defined human being, it is very hard to define your image. And, it is such a difficult thing to navigate. What I?ve realized in my own journey in fashion is that I?m not that defined. I do feel like I am at ease in my own skin when I find an androgynous balance. It?s one of the things I love about my new haircut! I found the balance between masculine and feminine that I am always striving for and never getting.”
On The Lost curse: “I was more off the rails than anyone else in the cast. The public didn?t see it but I managed to hold it together by the skin of my teeth.”
Her dream role: “It would be amazing to play Sylvia Plath. She was so dark and what came out of her writing was troubled and fierce. The dimensions, levels, layers and levels would be incredible to take on. Let?s face it, the more groundbreaking female writers with families were the original mommy bloggers.”
Her place in Hollywood: “I am an opportunist. When opportunities come and I see them serving my grander goals in life, I take them. When I look ahead and see where I want to be in five years from now, I know acting can get me there. It?s a vehicle where I can realize my other dreams.”
She wants 6 children: “There is that old mentality where some think women should be barefoot and pregnant and in the kitchen. When I hear those words, I think, ‘What. A. Dream.’”
[From Fashion]
So Sylvia Plath was one of “the original mommy bloggers“? Oh boy. Somehow I can’t see Sylvia taking the time to Pinterest or bother with any form of social media. She’d probably turn the comments off on a blog, and unlist it with all search engines. Her only online presence would be a Tumblr devoted to the douchey acts of Ted Hughes. I can actually see that part happening. Evangeline should have used a better example to illustrate a mommy blogger.
As for Evangeline’s desire to be “barefoot and pregnant,” eh, why not? At least she admits the practice is archaic. If that’s what she wants, go for it.

One of the most beautiful lady of all time
Here is Evangeline Lilly denouncing her Women?s Health magazine cover for featuring ?Best Butt Ever? in big lettering with an arrow pointing to her butt.
Lilly spoke about the cover of the January/February 2014 Women?s Health magazine during an appearance on Conan to promote her new film The Hobbit: The Dosolation of Smaug, the second in the Hobbit trilogy. Lilly, best known for her staring role in Lost (2004-2010), co-stars opposite Orlando Bloom as Tauriel, an elf.

Here is Evangeline Lilly attending a screening of their latest film The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug in New York City. She wore a colorblock Paper London gown with a drop-waist that made the actress? sexy bod look almost disproportionate, and the loose cut did nothing for her svelte figure.
In the film, Lilly plays the wood elf Tauriel, while Bloom reprises his ?Lord of the Rings? role as flaxen-haired Legolas.

We have new Benedict Cumberbatch photos. But I?m writing about some other people right now, so I can fully wake up and work for a moment before devoting my entire body and mind to all things Cumbergasm. Benedict and these people attended last night?s LA premiere of The Hobbit. It was a pretty good turnout, and I?m actually sort of surprised that the first big premiere was in LA. That rarely happens with these big franchises these days. Usually the first premieres and events are in Europe or even Asia. So, LA premiere. Let?s do this.
I was actually just thinking about Evangeline Lilly this morning for no apparent reason other than something on the news reminded me of Lost, and I said a quiet thanks that the show was no longer on the air and I no longer had to watch Evangeline or Matthew Fox?s terrible acting. I actually like Evangeline as a person ? in interviews, she?s interesting and cool. But on screen? I couldn?t care less. As for her style? she wore this Catherine Deane gown to the LA premiere. I think grey and cream is an interesting choice and it?s a pretty dress overall, but the styling ruins it for me. THE BANGS. She?s such a pretty woman and the bangs are just limp and awful.
I?m also including photos of Orlando Bloom (he returned to the franchise as Legolas), Martin Freeman and his wife, Richard Armitage and Aidan Turner.

She joined at the event by Glee?s Chord Overstreet and Scandal?s Tony Goldwyn, who was accompanied by his sister Liz. Also in attendance was jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer.
Evangeline is wearing a Moschino tux, Greymar shoes, and a Barbara Bui clutch.
Well she looks much better, darker hair and longer hair.. but she still needs to grow it out more…

Evangeline Lilly, who’ll play an elf in The Hobbit, opted for a natural birth in her own home when she delivered her son last May. She must be a sadomasochist because it lasted 30 hours and 8 of them was just her pushing.
?I actually skipped the hospital ? We decided to have the baby at home because we wanted it to be a natural birth, and it turns out that it was 30 hours of natural,? the Real Steel star, 32, explained during a Monday appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
?Eight hours of pushing, that?s the part that men don?t understand. Women go, ?Oh, dear, oh, dear God, eight hours of pushing?? And the men are like, ?Okay, eight hours of pushing.??
?After about five hours of pushing, my midwife and my birthing assistant said, ?You know, we have a few suggestions,?? she says. ?And I was like, ?Really? After five hours of pushing you have a few suggestions? You couldn?t have told me five minutes in??? PEOPLE
Women always say men will never understand what they go through during childbirth. I respectfully disagree. 8 hours of pushing? Clearly they never ate at the Indian restaurant by me.

These are some week-old photos of Evangeline Lilly at the LA premiere of Reel Steel, which was the number one movie this weekend. Evangeline (or ?Evangelina? as my idiotic fingers keep typing) probably didn?t have much to do with the box office, although you never know. Just because I absolutely hated her on Lost, doesn?t mean that she doesn?t have a devoted base of horny fan-boys. But is Evangeline liked by ladies? Will ladies ever say ?Hey, let?s go see that new Evangeline Lilly movie?? Probably not. But Evangeline is trying to win our support. Little does she know that I started crying and rocking as soon as I read her ?natural childbirth? tale:
Evangeline Lilly knows how to hold her ground. The actress opted for a home birth for the delivery of her son last May, and was determined to see it through ? despite the unexpected timeline.
Fortunately for the former Lost star, her midwife eventually stepped in to save the day, much to Lilly?s relief.
?After about five hours of pushing, my midwife and my birthing assistant said, ?You know, we have a few suggestions,?? she says. ?And I was like, ?Really? After five hours of pushing you have a few suggestions? You couldn?t have told me five minutes in???
Following the baby boy?s birth, Lilly planned to ?abandon ship for a little while,? but the first-time mom ? who hopes to have a ?brood? of babies ? admits that even the best laid plans often go awry.
?I was sitting with my newborn baby and Peter Jackson called and said, ?Would you like to be an elf in The Hobbit??? she shares. ?And I said, ?Yes, I really do! I really do want to do that.? So I?m sort of strapped in, as it turns out, to four movies now.?
Luckily for Lilly, her son is brought to set each day to spend time with his mama ? unbeknownst to him, however!
?He came to the trailer and I put him to my breast [to nurse] and he screamed his head off, staring up at this strange, pointy-eared, mess of a person that was not his mother,? she laughs.
?And then that night I was feeding him at home and he was perfectly fine and my partner [Norman Kali] said to me, ?You know his internal dialogue right now is, ?Mom, you won?t believe what happened to me today!???
[From People]
Eight hours of pushing, thirty hours of labor, all with no drugs? Just shoot me in the face. Seriously. If it ever happens for me, I?m going to ask to be unconscious for the birth. The doctor can handle it, I?ll be downing every pill I can find. Don?t judge.
Evangeline gave birth mid-May, and we STILL don?t know the little guy?s name. Evangeline did reveal this blind-item about her son?s name: ?My baby did not have a name for a month. It took me a month to name my child… I had my baby outside in a thunderstorm. It was really romantic. His name means ?the thunder.?? The baby blogs are having a field day trying to guess - go here to see some of the Hawaiian (and other) possibilities. My favorite is Kane.

Debuting her bouncing baby boy to the world, Evangeline Lilly offered up the first look at her little one while at Vancouver International Airport yesterday (July 26).
The "Lost" actress and new mom had just touched down in her native country when she showed off her beautiful baby boy, who was born just two months ago.
Meeting up with awaiting family and friends, fresh-faced Evangeline, who can next been seen in "The Hobbit," smiled for the impending paps alongside her beau, Norman Kali.
The always-private Lilly has yet to announce a name of her newborn to the press.
