I never thought I’d hear the words “diva” and “Emma Watson” in the same sentence. But new reports from Wales - where the next two installments of the Harry Potter series are being shot back-to-back - tell another story. Production staffers on the movie say that Emma has always been the “most testy,” but that it has gotten even worse for this movie and she’s been “more ofa pain than usual.” The “diva” title has been given to her because she shows up late, and is always complaining.
Of all the “Harry Potter” stars, Emma Watson always has been the most “testy,” according to a production staffer who has worked on most of the films based on J.K. Rowling’s super-popular novels about the famous boy wizard.
But word coming from Wales — where “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1? is being shot (back-to-back with “Part 2?) — has the young actress being “more of a pain than usual.”
Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and the rest of the cast “are a dream to work with,” said the source Wednesday, “But Emma is even more moody than usual. … She’s always complaining, showing up late and has upset both cast and crew members with her rudeness. … She’s really become a big diva. … Everyone’s sick of it.”

Emma has never struck me in the least as a diva, but maybe she’s just good at covering it up for the press. She’s always seemed like a sweet, intelligent girl to me. She’s said in the past that she has problems being sexy, and she’s nervous about kissing Rupert Grint (who plays Ron) in the new movie. She’s also looking forward to going to college in the fall.
On the other hand, this could just be a total crock. I hope so - I want to think that there is at least one young actress out there that isn’t an entitled diva.

Emma Watson has problems picking up men. The Harry Potter star claims that she?s too famous and rich, and her success intimidates normal guys her age. It sounds like a nice problem to have. She also calls being on the set of the Harry Potter films ?a goldmine?, which I suppose means that she?s game for a lot of on-set hook-ups. Lord, I hope she was joking. She?s only eighteen! The Daily Telegraph has more:
While winning a starring role in the Harry Potter films has brought Emma Watson worldwide fame and riches beyond her wildest dreams, the actress says it has played havoc with her love life.
“Finding someone that you like, or who likes you, is always difficult at my age,” says Emma, who turns 19 next month. “But being famous complicates things much more. I suppose that some boys feel a bit intimidated by me and stay on their guard.”
Emma is no doubt relieved that filming has begun on the seventh and final film in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, as she jokes: “It’s easier to pull on film sets. They are a goldmine!”
The actress, who plays the brainy Hermione Granger, is currently on a gap year after she gained straight As in her A-levels at Headington School, in Oxford, last summer.
She says she has been enjoying life since she celebrated her 18th birthday. “I’ve got my driving licence and bought myself a car, a grey Toyota Prius,” she says. “And now I can drink alcohol! I feel more free to do what I want to do, and I suppose that I have to be more responsible for myself. That’s a big change.”

I want Emma and Rupert Grint to hook-up. I think they would be really lovely together, the cute ginger boy and the cute brainy brunette. Adorable. I?ve given up on Emma and Daniel Radcliffe. They seem to have a relationship that borders on brother-sister/gay guy-straight girlfriend. I?m not saying Daniel Radcliffe is gay, but I am saying Daniel and Emma really don?t seem to have anything in the way of sexual chemistry, for whatever reason.
Emma seems like a smart girl, and I really hope she doesn?t end up like, say, Lindsay Lohan. Emma, to her credit, seems to have found a pretty good work-fun balance in her life, and I hope she continues with her education.

Much like Emma Watson did with “Be Emma,” I too have to write little reminders on my chest in ballpoint pen. That way when I look in a mirror, I’ll never forget what I need to do. Like, one time I wrote “buy milk” and I did. Another time I wrote “be awesome” and I was.

Aw, young love. Or young love as portrayed by teenagers in a film about wizards and growing up. The first whiff of ginger heart-throb-in-training Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) was enough to bring the awkward pre-teen out in me. Now imagine Emma Watson?s dilemma - she?s scheduled to have a screen kiss with Ron for the next installment of Harry Potter (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows).
The two actors have known each other for eight years of filming, so it makes sense that they?ve probably got a relationship that borders on brother-sister, just to make the whole thing even more uncomfortable. Emma claims that she?s never had to kiss someone for a job before, and that she asked her friend Daniel Radcliffe for advice. Radcliffe told her that after the first few takes, kissing gets boring. Interesting, Daniel…maybe it?s the girl? The Daily Telegraph has more:

…[B]oth actors are already panicking about their first screen kiss between their characters Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Speaking at the Bafta ceremony Watson, 18, tells me that she is terrified of pairing up with her 20 year-old co-star of eight years, despite the best efforts of Daniel Radcliffe, 19, to reassure her.
“Well I’ve never had to do it before so I can’t say I have any techniques,” she says. “I’ve never had to kiss anyone on screen so it is all new to me.?
“Of course I am nervous about it. But, apparently it gets quite boring after a couple of takes, that’s what Dan said to me anyway.”
Meanwhile, off screen Watson was not short of male attention at the Grey Goose afterparty at the Grosvenor House Hotel and spent much of the evening in the company of Jamie Dornan, a model who used to date Keira Knightley.
Mandrake revealed last month that Grint is also concerned about the impending kiss despite doing a graphic nude scene in his recent film Cherrybomb.
“As I’ve known Emma for so long, I reckon it will be 10 times worse,” he said.
“I really love the seventh book, but there is no way it will be tame with the Hermione stuff.”
The actor claimed he fills in crosswords to ease the awkwardness between takes and will bring “a stack of crosswords” to the Harry Potter set.

I can?t remember who said it, but I remember a very famous actress once complaining that for her first screen kiss, no one told her not to slip the actor your tongue. Sounds like practical advice for Emma and for Rupert. Rupert sounds really nervous too - think there?s something else going on? Do they have little crushes on each other? And does anyone else think it?s really cute that Emma asked Radcliffe for help with her problem? I wonder if they?re really close in real life.

Ever the BAFTA beauty, Emma Watson braved the rain as she attended the 2009 Orange British Academy Film Awards at the Royal Opera House in London on Sunday (February 8).
Wearing a lovely black Alice Temperley gown with intricate silver flower detail topped off with an embroidered black overcoat, the “Harry Potter” starlet happily posed for pictures and spoke with press on-hand.

It?s no secret that the freckled, cute-as-a-button little girl from the Harry Potter films has grown into a swan. Judging solely from pictures, it?s amazing what a really good blow-out can do for naturally frizzy hair. But Emma Watson is surprising conservative in her dress and her attitude. She sat down with the UK?s Telegraph to talk about how upset she she is that everyone wants her dress and act sexier now that she?s grown up.
The 18-year-old says stylists try to put her in mini-skirts and she has been deluged with offers to strip off in films, but vowed: “I’m not just getting my kit off for anyone.”
And despite having been romantically linked with notorious Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell, she claims she would only date a close friend - never a celebrity.
Miss Watson currently filming the final installment of the Harry Potter series, believes less is more and that paparazzi would never catch her stumbling in the gutter “with my boobs out and a short skirt”.
She said: “I find this whole thing about being 18 and everyone expecting me to be this object… I find the whole concept of being ’sexy’ embarrassing and confusing. If I do a photo-shoot people desperately want to change me - dye my hair blonder, pluck my eyebrows, give me a fringe.?
“Then there’s the choice of clothes. I know everyone wants a picture of me in a mini-skirt. But that’s not me. I feel uncomfortable. I’d never go out in a mini-skirt. It’s nothing to do with protecting the Hermione image. I wouldn’t do that.?
“Personally, I don’t actually think it’s even that sexy. What’s sexy about saying, ‘I’m here with my boobs out and a short skirt…have a look at everything I’ve got’? My idea of sexy is that less is more. The less you reveal the more people can wonder.”
But Hollywood is desperate for Miss Watson to reveal all, and filmmakers have sent several scripts for roles involving near-the-knuckle nudity, she told the Mail on Sunday’s Live magazine.
The actress said she would only strip for arty director Bernardo Bertolucci, saying: “I have no plans to do anything for the sake of it, or to shock people.?
“I might be willing to take my clothes off for a Bertolucci film, if it was a part that really made sense as part of my character. But I wouldn’t do it just to make a point, to move on from Hermione. I’d hate to be so tactical. I’m not just getting my kit off for anyone.”

The way this story is being billed is as if Emma Watson was saying that she was so sexy, and that was the problem. But reading the interview, it just seems like she?s a completely normal teenage girl with a feminist streak. She doesn?t want to show off everything, and good for her. It?s nice to see a young girl who isn?t acting and dressing like… well, you know. Hurray! Emma Watson is Britain?s Dakota Fanning!
