Not to be mean, but what?s going on with Teri Hatcher? CB and I were trying to figure out if she?s just overly-Botoxed or if she had some eye work done. She?s looking particularly cat-like in these new photos. Teri was in NYC yesterday, launching her new advice website GetHatched. Not to be confused with GetThatched, a thatching site which is also about to launch (it was the first one I found, and I was honestly confused). GetHatched is an advice site aimed at 40-something moms, from what I can tell, It?s like GOOP for 40-somethings, only not as constipated, and with a more Disney-centric view of life (Disney is hosting the site). Here?s more:
Teri Hatcher wants us to believe that she is like any normal mother. According to the actress’s new online blog, she is ‘one of those women that does the laundry, cleans the house, feeds the pets, drives the carpool, and as if that wasn’t enough of a job, also brings home the bacon. (And then cooks it, too!)’
But judging by these pictures, it appears there is nothing ordinary about the Desperate Housewife star. The age defying 45-year-old, who plays Susan Mayer on the hit U.S. show, turned heads in a red Dolce & Gabanna dress and gold peep-toe stilettos at the launch of Gethatched.com in New York yesterday, a new website where ‘Teri and friends tell it like it is.’
Offering advice on fashion, relationships and careers based on her own experiences, Teri promises however that Get Hatched is not ‘The Teri Hatcher reality show.’
The site, created in collaboration with Disney, includes an interview with co-star Eva Longoria Parker and readers even had the opportunity to vote for the satin number Teri wore last night.
The single mother said: ‘We graciously take on these responsibilities because we have big hearts and deep wells of commitment. But the weight of all of this too often leaves us drained and craving support of our own. That’s why I wanted to create GetHatched as a resource, a go-to respite, a trustworthy support system for women.?
‘GetHatched is about finding your way to the ME part without getting lost along the way. My desire is to be able to reach women, lots of women, and supply just the right boost they might need on any given day.’
‘And I want it to be a place where I want to go - and it is.’
The brunette will no doubt be drawing on her own experiences. Teri married first husband Marcus Leithold in 1988 but they divorced the following year. She was then married to actor Jon Tenney for nine years during which they had a daughter, Emerson Rose, before divorcing in 2003.

I love Teri?s second ex-husband, Jon Tenney. He?s on The Closer, and he?s awesome and really good-looking. Now, regarding the site - eh. It sounds like an interesting project I suppose. I would imagine it will get more coverage and more initial readership just because it?s affiliated with Disney, and because it?s part of the ?Disney Family? online community. But it really does remind me of a less-constipated GOOP. I don?t expect Teri to start recommending endless juice detoxes, but I would imagine the answer to a lot of mom-dilemmas will involve taking a trip to DisneyWorld.

While you were filling your pie hole and watching college football on Saturday, celebrity Teri Hatcher was busy competing in the Malibutriathlon. And after looking at these photos, I can assure you that Teri has not been eating anypie, or at least not very much. She has been working out. Showing off her athletic prowess, Teri Hatcher competed in the events making up the Malibu Triathlon on Sunday morning (September 13).
The “Desperate Housewives” beauty was cheered on by daughter, Emerson, as she biked, swam and ran her way around the course.
Previously talking about the training involved to compete in such an event, Hatcher revealed that running was the most difficult task.
Of the four-mile sprint to the finish line, Teri says, “It’s the least fun for me. By that point, I’m really tired, so the whole time I’m thinking, ‘I’m not going to make it.’”
Talking about deciding to enter the annual competition, Hatcher adds, “I’m just out to do it and I did it. I did surprise myself that I’m in better shape than I thought I was.”

A couple of weeks ago we reported on a story from The National Enquirer that former Desperate Housewives star Nicolette Sheridan stripped her trailer of almost everything on her last day on set. Nicolette was said to be upset that she was being written off the show and decided to grab everything that she could before leaving.
The Enquirer may have a source on set as they’re running a story this week that claims that Teri Hatcher isn’t a joy to work with, either. She’s said to be acting snotty and entitled on set and the crew and is supposedly trying to appease her:
“Nicolette was bad, but I think Teri is by far the most problematic at the network,” a set insider told The Enquirer.
“She can be so rude and ill-mannered - snatching things out of crew members’ and assistants’ hands without saying please or thank you.”
Wardrobe department workers recently felt Teri’s wrath. She made them haul all of the clothes, shows and accessories chosen for her character to an area outside of her trailer, and then she picked out everything she didn’t like and told them to get rid of it, says the source.
“It’s truly bizarre - everyone has to cater to her like she is a queen.
“Teri doesn’t eat with all the cast and crew. It is as if she thinks she is above them.
“A runner drives to upscale restaurants such as Katsuya or Armoa Cafe so she can eat in her trailer and drink her many bottles of expensive cabernet that she has stored.
“The woman doesn’t even go to the hair and make-up trailer - they come to wherever she is!
“When fans are driven by the Wisteria Lane set, she often doesn’t wave or smile like the other actresses. She will turn her back,” claims the insider.

I hope this is exaggerated or just someone spreading rumors about Teri, because she always struck me as a nice person and I don’t want to imagine her treating people like crap. She gets a lot of flack for being an older woman with wrinkles and a thin face and I don’t think it’s fair. I also think it was incredibly brave of her to come out and speak about her childhood abuse, and I’ve had a high opinion of her since. Whatever happened, Teri surely pissed off someone on set. It just goes to show that you should strive to be nice to everyone you encounter in life no matter what their position. People from all walks in life have connections and you never know when bad behavior is going to come back to bite you in the butt. Plus it’s just common courtesy to treat people as you would like to be treated.

I guess Desperate Housewives is desperate for ratings because for March Sweeps Marc Cherry is writing in a predictable cheap stunt…a same-sex kiss. Extra says that ABC has confirmed that Teri Hatcher and Eva Longoria will share a kiss in an upcoming episode. And they added that Susan Mayer will be kissing another woman on Wisteria Lane which should be Swoozie Kurtz who will be guesting on the show. I guess after kissing Gale Harold, you are ruined for men forever. I know I would like to find out.
Desperate Housewives isn't the only show doing the girl-on-girl kiss, after three tries, it looks like Grey's Anatomy has finally found a woman for Callie. Michael Ausiello is reporting that Jessica Capshaw will be sticking around for the rest of the season, if not more.
I guess same-sex kisses are the new losing your virginity when it comes to sweeps stunts. Sad.
