Giving photographers a wave and a peace sign, Rachel Weisz walked home from the gym in New York City on Thursday morning (March 21).
The "Bourne Legacy" star was bundled up in a fuzzy white coat, black scarf, gray knitted hat, and fingerless gloves as she headed back from her sweat session.
Meanwhile, her newest movie, "Oz The Great and Powerful" is enjoying success at the box office worldwide.
For the second week in a row, the Disney flick took the top spot, with a two-week worldwide total of $281.8 million.

| Rachel Weisz has a sultry photoshoot for Esquire UK: would you hit it? | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I should make this a ?Would You Hit It?? post because Rachel Weisz is just that sexy. Rachel is promoting Oz the Great and Powerful which comes out this weekend. Industry people say it?s going to be a hit, but I have my doubts. I just don?t understand who the target audience is, besides ladies who girl-crush on Rachel Weisz, Mila Kunis and Michelle Williams. Anyway, Rachel?s Esquire UK photo shoot is HOT, and her interview is predictably awesome. I love her.
Would she ever become a Bond Girl? ?I?d like to! I wouldn?t say no. I?m not a snob about entertainment.?
She doesn?t always go for mainstream roles: ?Some of the material I?m attracted to is not? it?s just not commercial. Which means it?s really f**king interesting, you know? It?s off-centre. It doesn?t fit in a genre.?
She doesn?t want to talk about her marriage to Daniel Craig: ?There are lots of people involved, including children who are getting older. And they didn?t choose to have us as parents. I genuinely just don?t think it?s very fair on them to have their parents talk about stuff.?
Career successes: ?You can be more successful if you?re more strategic. There?s a lot of big movies that I?m not interested in that I get offered. But this [Oz] was one that I really, really wanted to do. I was piqued by it.?
Her role model: ?Jack White is how I?d like to act. You can tell he isn?t faking it and that the band really don?t know what they?re going to play next. It?s abandon. He just lets himself go. Abandon plus skill plus technique. That?s a great cocktail.?
[From The Mail and Esquire UK]
Jack White is how I?d like to BE. He?s incredible on stage. As for Rachel?s ?I?m not a snob about entertainment? comment ? was she subtly throwing shade at her husband? Like, she?s saying she?s not a snob and I believe that, but there?s implicit judgment about the James Bond films, right? Like, she?s looking down on mass-entertainment films. Daniel is going to have to give her a good spanking for that one.

| Daniel Craig & Rachel Weisz hold hands in casual NYC outing: sexy or surly? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some newish photos of Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz from this past weekend. I didn?t get around to writing about them on Sunday or Monday, mostly because they?re just nice, normal photos of a sexy married couple and no one cares about that, right? We?re at the point where we?ve seen Rachel and Daniel in the same photo before, and they?ve even walked a red carpet together, but they seem wary of really putting their relationship in the spotlight. Well? let me say it this way: Daniel is a curmudgeon and he?s permanently surly, I think. Rachel would probably be fine with putting her marriage out there a little bit more, but Daniel?s surliness holds her back. That being said, I think they probably have a HOT sex life. How could they not? Torrid. Absolutely torrid.
I do wonder if Rachel and Daniel will end up walking on some more red carpets together when it comes time for Daniel to promote his new James Bond film, Skyfall. Daniel needs Skyfall to be a big hit. Cowboys & Aliens barely made a blip, and while The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo made money, I think many people kind of felt like, ?Er, why couldn?t we just watch the Swedish films with the original, better Lisbeth, also known as Noomi Rapace?? So while Daniel got a ?win? out of it, it wasn?t really his film to carry, it was Rooney Mara?s, and she was and is rather underwhelming. So? a return to James Bond. And hopefully this one will be better than Quantum of Solace (it would be hard not to be better than QoS), and hopefully it will make a lot of money and maybe Daniel will sell his relationship a little bit to make Skyfall a big hit. We?ll see.
By the way, did anyone else hear the rumor about Benedict Cumberbatch and James Bond? This comes from the UK tabs/rags ? allegedly, Cumby is under serious consideration to play a Bond villain in a future 007 movie. A source told Express UK: “Benedict is considered perfect Bond villain material. Work on the next film will begin next year and the plan is for Benedict to be on board. He grew up watching Bond, so it would be a childhood ambition fulfilled. Playing a Bond villain is one of the plum roles in film history and he’d jump at the chance.” You may think it?s too soon to be considering this stuff, but Daniel just signed a contract for two more Bond films after Skyfall, and they?re hoping to churn those two additional films out for 2014 and 2016 releases. Which means they?ll need a script next year, which means, etc. As for the idea of Cumby as a Bond villain? I don?t hate it. It feels a bit too ?on the nose? though. Too predictable.

| Rachel Weisz on Daniel Craig: 'I love being married to Daniel, it's very grounding' | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I?m sorry, but I just think Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz are the hottest celebrity couple going at this point. Yes, they got together under suspicious circumstances. Yes, Daniel is a curmudgeon who loves to complain. But? my God, I bet their sex life is incredible. I bet it?s crazy. How could it not be crazy? Anyway, Rachel is promoting The Bourne Legacy these days ? it comes out this week. And she?s been giving some interesting interviews too ? she sat down with Hello Magazine, and she ended up talking about Daniel more than she ever has before. Because the orgasms are just THAT powerful.
What she finds attractive in a man: ?There is something incredibly sexy about a man who is good at what he does. Ask any woman and she?ll agree that to see a man be really talented in his line of work is amazingly attractive. I?m not sure it necessarily works the other way, that men are so interested in that quality in a woman? but we women, we love talent in our men.?
On Daniel: “I love being married to Daniel? It’s a wonderful feeling of stability and it’s very grounding. I mean, it hasn?t made more domestic or anything ? just being married doesn?t suddenly make you able to cook ? but I am very happy right now. Extremely happy, in fact.?
On her relationship to Darren Aronofsky: ?I was living in sin. We did talk about getting married, how we?d do it, what kind of ceremony we?d have, but somehow we never found the time to make up our minds and actually tie the knot.?
Working with Daniel Craig 20 years ago on a play: They?d kept in casual contact ever since. Neither is about to divulge what happened on the moonlit nights in Canada while filming Dream House, but they emerged a couple and around a year later, they married in New York.
Running in The Bourne Legacy: ?I have to do a lot of running in the film and the hardest thing I had to learn was how not to run like a girl. Apparently, because women?s hips are wider than men?s it means our feet turn out when we run and I really had to work on that. I was difficult.?
On her son, Henry: ?He not really interested in what I do. When I was shooting Oz, I said, ?Come and see me, Mommy?s going to fly, want to come and watch?? and he just didn?t care. That?s fine ? he has his own fantasy life, which is much richer than anything he can see in the movies. And why should movies be so special to him? His dad makes them all the time. And? well, his stepdad is James Bond, isn?t he??
She finds many actresses attractive: ”Acting is a different world. I find women sexier on screen than men. ‘People like Gena Rowlands, Juliette Binoche and Cate Blanchett. ‘When you work with actors, you don’t find them particularly sexy. Brendan Fraser, in ‘The Mummy’, for example, is very gentle for a big action man. Almost courtly, in fact. ‘He is quite mysterious, with a lot going on in his head.”
Being grounded: ”I think being a mum has completely grounded me. Being a mum is just delicious.
[From Contact Music and Hello Magazine, print edition]
Is the running thing true, or did they just tell her that because they were startled by her duck-like run? Whatever. As for all of her lovely-dovey talk about Daniel? I told you. It?s the sex. They?re still in the ?OMG, we have to bone all the time? phase. And it?s hot.

| Rachel Weisz in Dior at 'The Bourne Legacy' premiere: lovely or busted' | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

These are photos from last night?s NYC premiere of The Bourne Legacy. It comes out next week. Are you going to see it? I?m going to see it. As I?ve said before, I love the Bourne Trilogy and I love Jeremy Renner, so I have high hopes for this. And I think Rachel Weisz is an interesting love interest/action-partner for Jeremy too ? surprisingly age appropriate and size-appropriate, right? I think Rachel is even one year older than Jeremy, and they?re both lovely and small. Pocket boyfriend and petite actress.
Anyway, Rachel wore a Christian Dior Fall 2012 Couture dress that I?m not crazy about. I actually thought this was Narciso Rodriguez on first glance, just because Rachel wears a lot of Narciso, and because he seems to design a lot of these minimalist, slim-cut looks. I?m surprised it?s Dior. It?s not a bad dress, really ? it?s just slightly disappointing. Rachel is usually a bit bolder. Also: she looks really slim, right? She?s lost weight over the past year.
As for the boys? Jeremy Renner and Edward Norton were both in attendance. Norton plays the CIA ?bad guy? I think ? the dude who burns Blackbriar/all of the CIA operations that involve Jason Bourne and all of the other black-ops assassins. Some days? Norton really does it for me. I know he?s ?difficult? and all. But I would still make out with him a little. As for Jeremy? I hate his habit of wearing dark suits with dark shirts and a light tie. He does that look all the time! And it?s awful. I kind of think he should forget the tie ? imagine Jeremy in this suit with a black shirt and no tie? much sexier, right?
PS? I forgot about Rene Russo. She looks good! But I don?t care for her dress.

| Rachel Weisz on 'The Bourne Legacy?: 'The level of realism is very, very high' | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Rachel Weisz has a really beautiful photo shoot in the August issue of Vanity Fair. The photos are so pretty, I kind of wonder if Rachel wasn?t the original cover girl for the August issue, and someone decided that The Rage Monster should get the cover instead. Note to VF: I would much rather see Rachel Weisz, an Oscar-winning beauty with an interesting life and a good career, on the cover as opposed to Alec Baldwin. Anyway, Rachel is promoting The Bourne Legacy, where she?s the love interest/friend/associate of Jeremy Renner?s assassin/spy. Here?s her brief VF interview:
“It?s much scarier; there?s a whole world behind the one you?ve watched in the first three,? Rachel Weisz says of The Bourne Legacy, the fourth installment of the Bourne thrillers, in which she plays virologist Marta Shearing. ?I could identify with her character, ill-equipped to deal with the high-stakes drama. We are lone survivors, me and Jeremy Renner, and all the science is possible. It is not sci-fi ? the level of realism is very, very high.?
The London-born Weisz, who took home an Academy Award in 2006 for her supporting role as Tessa Quayle in The Constant Gardener, now lives in New York City with her husband, Daniel Craig, and her son from her previous marriage. The veteran actress has appeared in more than 30 films and four plays in theaters on both sides of the pond, most recently earning accolades for her performance as Blanche DuBois in the 2009 London revival of Tennessee Williams?s A Streetcar Named Desire.
Weisz describes working with writer-director Tony Gilroy as ?very exciting, a dream job. He loves chaos?raw, edgy, out-of-control acting. He also has a complex, wordsmith mind, so it?s a great cocktail, more like being in a band. It felt like an independent movie.?
Gilroy, in turn, is equally mesmerized by Weisz. ?Rachel thrives on everything going wrong,? Gilroy says. ?She provokes chaos. She has her own navigational system that clicks on like an emergency beacon when everything?s going wrong. I?ve never put a character through such an ordeal before.? So what are we to expect?
?It all has to be plausible. Rachel has got to convince us she?s an accomplished scientist, be able to convey a shattered personal life, bring a mantle of dead ends in her life to the screen. And in the end she has to kick some f–king ass!?
It?s a tall order?but the job is vintage Weisz.
[From Vanity Fair]
That was always one of my favorite parts of the Bourne films ? they felt real, or realistic enough that you didn?t have to suspend your disbelief too much. For the first Bourne film especially ? the story felt like almost plausible. And with the third film (Supremacy), I liked how they brought the story around to full-blown Bush-era (and now Obama-era) NSA/CIA/Homeland Security counterterrorism efforts, like rendition and enhanced interrogation, etc.
What?s also interesting is that the Bourne franchise is often used an example of where the James Bond franchise has gone off-kilter, too dependent on toys, exotic locales and crazy storylines and not enough real espionage. It?s especially funny because Rachel is married to the current James Bond! When Rachel was asked about the ?rivalry? between the Bond and the Bourne franchises, she said, ?Oh gosh, that’s an unfair question! How do I answer that? Where do my loyalties lie? To both. I want them both to do well. I don’t have to choose do I? People can see them both. I would like them both to sell an equally enormous number of tickets.” Cop out!

Showing her peaceful side, Rachel Weisz was spotted out and about in New York City this afternoon (June 5).
The 42-year-old actress looked casual in a pea coat and tennis shoes while flashing a peace sign to the awaiting paparazzi as she ran her daily errands.
In other news, the brunette beauty is getting ready for the release of her newest film ?The Bourne Legacy,? which follows the action-packed trail of a CIA operative.
It also stars Jeremy Renner and Edward Norton and is scheduled to hit theaters August 3.

| Rachel Weisz: 'There's nothing worse than somebody who complains' | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I know this could be the least commented-on post of the day, but you guys are always telling me I should avoid covering Kim Kardashian at any cost, and I was faced with the decision: cover new photos of Kim K. or cover Rachel Weisz?s two magazine covers and interviews. Don’t complain, is what I’m saying. Rachel has a supporting part in the new Jason Bourne movie, the one with Jeremy Renner taking over the Bourne franchise, The Bourne Legacy. Incidentally, there?s a new trailer for The Bourne Legacy? here you go:
Part of me is disappointed that Rachel took the part of ?the girl/damsel in distress? in a big action film – she?s an Oscar winner, for God?s sake. But the other part of me wants Jeremy Renner to rescue me. So? it?s a toss up. I love the Bourne franchise, though, so I know I?ll see this.
Anyway, some highlights from Rachel?s interviews in C Magazine and Vogue UK:
She doesn?t know how to cook: “It’s something I want to do. I’d love to be able to get in the kitchen and throw in spices, but I need to know some basics. I was just at the fishmonger down the road and there were these langoustines and he said you have to chop off the head and the claws and saut them with garlic. He was French. He said he might give me a lesson?”
She hates complainers: “There’s nothing worse than somebody who complains.?
She likes taking on a challenge she might not accomplish: ‘I want to always feel like it?s a stretch and that I?m not quite sure I can pull it off? And I think that is truly the right reaction ? I used to get really affected by my work, but when you have a kid, you have to come home and be there mentally.’
Separating reality from film: ‘When the director says “cut,” it?s all make-believe, and strangely enough, that took me a little bit of time to work out,’ she said.
Living in New York City: ‘Everyone moans about the city changing and becoming gentrified, but I think the East Village still has a little edge and also has a community,’ she said.
On The Bourne Legacy: ‘Jason Bourne is in the periphery of the story, but it?s about a new military program and I am thrown together with Jeremy Renner?s character by circumstance, because, well, we need each other? The paranoia around the film is as paranoid as the film itself ? I think they feed off each other. We had to literally run through the homes of these warm, kind people with all their washing on the line turned inside out because of the dust. We were literally on the run. We didn?t stop and talk to them in the film, so it was kind of weird? The tone is very realistic. I?m not playing a superhero, I don?t have superpowers. I don?t even have a gun. That?s really what I love about it, that as this type of film goes it?s not implausible at all.?
[Via The Mail & The Belfast Telegraph]
?It?s not implausible at all?? The word she?s looking for is ?It?s plausible.? I mean, I make grammatical and syntax mistakes all the time, but for goodness sake. It?s not implausible? IT?S PLAUSIBLE.
Also – I didn?t know Rachel was still living in NYC after her split from Darren Aronofsky. I thought she have moved back to England to be with Daniel Craig forever and ever. Maybe they split their time between London and Manhattan.

| Rachel Weisz in burgundy Jason Wu in NYC: beautiful or budget? | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Is it conceited of me to say that I think my hair is really similar to Rachel Weisz?s? My current length is slightly longer than this, and my color is similar too. I feel like Rachel lives a charmed life with her hair, meaning that she doesn?t have to do much to it and it looks fine with very little energy. Same here. While Rachel and I might share a lack of hair dramz, I would never presume to say that I?m like her in any other way. I?m actually a little bit in love with her. She?s so beautiful. HER FACE. God, I love it.
Anyway, these are photos of Rachel at last night?s NYC premiere of The Deep Blue Sea. I think Rachel made this movie a while ago, and it?s only getting a limited American release now. Rachel wore this Jason Wu dress – she loves Jason Wu. She?s name-checked in interviews several times. I?m not crazy about the dress on its own, but I love it on her. This is a girl who should always wear very rich colors, I think.
Did you know that Rachel is 41 years old? She is. She looks amazing, and I believe that face hasn?t been worked on at all. I think she just takes care of her skin and has lots and lots of crazy sex with her new husband Daniel Craig. The last time we saw Rachel, it was on a red carpet with Daniel to support The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. That was months ago! Hopefully, after that world tour, they just curled up in bed together and tried to make a baby. I would love it if she got pregnant. In one of the few interviews Rachel has done to support the film, she explained why she and Daniel have been so quiet since getting hitched: ?It’s not like I’ve turned into Greta Garbo ? ‘I vant to be alone’ ? but there are other people involved.” People like Daniel?s daughter, and Rachel?s son. Or people like Satsuki ?Blu Cantrell? Mitchell?
