Call me crazy, but I?ve never gotten why so many women think Sienna Miller is some kind of nouveau style icon. Sure, she started a few trends (boho-chic, not washing your hair, the return of big leather belts), but she was a fashion follower more than anything. And beyond the odd peasant blouse circa 2004, I never really wanted her clothes. When you think about it, she?s not even that versatile as a dresser - when she ?dresses up,? I usually find it horrible, like some dumb hippie girl wearing couture with combat boots, a big leather belt and dirty hair. She usually looks much better in street-wear than on a red carpet. The world is her runway.
Anyway, a few days ago, when I saw these photos of Sienna attending a screening in France, I was aghast. I have this exact same sweater. Or at least I used to have this same sweater. When I was 12 years old. And my mom gave it to me for Christmas. Doesn?t every woman have a sweater exactly like this? And almost always, our moms gave it to us. Our moms watch us as we open the big box, the knot of dread in our stomach, thinking ?Oh, God, there was a sale at Kohl?s. Please let it be a purse. Please God. Please.? And it?s this sweater. And we smile politely and say ?thank you.? And we even try it on, noting how the odd sleeves make our upper arms feel like they are stuffed sausages, cased in an itchy wool blend (?It?s 10% cashmere!? our moms enthuse).
So, yeah. Sienna Miller made me think of nausea on Christmas. And besides the dumb sweater (that probably cost a down payment on a mortgage), what?s with the pants? I think my mom still HAS pants like this. Tapered, pleated, peachy-pink nightmares. You can tell that Sienna is trying to start a new trend. And she?s failing.

Drawing an end to her jury duties, Sienna Miller attended the awards ceremony for the 21st Dinard British Film Festival in Dinard, France on Saturday night (October 9).
The "Layer Cake" actress joined fellow attendee Elsa Zylberstein on the red carpet before heading inside to honor the best and brightest of the week's screenings.
Later in the evening, Miss Miller ended up taking the stage alongside actors and jury members Etienne Chatillez, Anne Consigny, Pascal Elbe, Sylvie Pialat, Elsa Zylberstein and Nick Moran for a fun-filled dance routine.
Surprisingly absent from the festivities was Sienna's beau Jude Law - as the pair have been nearly inseparable since rekindling their romance earlier this year.

She?s always up for a good time, and yesterday (October 6) Sienna Miller was spotted at the 21st Dinard British Film Festival.
The ?Hippie Hippie Shake? babe looked to be in good spirits as she arrived at the Palais des Arts et du Festival and posed for the paparazzi before heading inside.
And Sienna is more than just a casual spectator at the Dinard Festival - she?s also serving as one of the distinguished jury members.

Always up for a dose of UK nightlife, Sienna Miller and Jude Law were spotted arm-in-arm in London, England on Monday evening (September 27).
The "Alfie" actor and his "G.I. Joe" lady opted to chow down at the fancy C London restaurant - where they were joined by Hollywood bigwig Jerry Bruckheimer.
The dinner date night comes after JUde showed his support for Sienna last week as she and sister Savannah presented their Twenty8Twelve line during fashion week.
Sounding ever the magnificent beau, Law warmly told WWD, "I'm here because I love Sienna Miller."

Having finished up her presentation duties the previous day, Sienna Miller turned spectator during the London Fashion Week festivities on Sunday afternoon (September 19).
Joined by sister Savannah, the "Layer Cake" cutie was all smiles as she took in designer pal Matthew Williamson's Spring/Summer 2011 fashion show at Battersea power station.
Taken aback by her friend's new dress designs - which always seem to be his most well-received offerings - Miss Miller told press backstage, ?I thought it was beautiful. The dresses were stunning.?
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Sienna and Savannah showed off their new Twenty8Twelve looks at the Old Sorting Office in central London on Saturday.
Getting a mostly positive reception, Sienna was supported by actor beau Jude Law, who sat front row and raved about his lady when chatting with press after the catwalk display.

The focal point of day two of London Fashion Week, Sienna Miller and sister Savannah presented the Twenty8Twelve Spring/Summer 2011 fashion show in London, England on Saturday (September 18).
The two prepared alongside one another backstage before hitting the catwalk to show off their brand's latest offerings.
Talking with the AP after the gig, an exhausted Savannah told that Jack Kerouac's novel "On the Road" was a major influence, adding, "I just love the colors, it's really nothing more than that."
Meanwhile, Sienna's actor beau Jude Law was front row cheering on his lady, telling of what he dubbed a"successful" runway display, "I don't know how she finds the time to do it, but she spends lots and lots of time designing."

Getting to work on another new project, Sienna Miller was spotted keeping busy on the set in West Hollywood, California on Wednesday (September 15).
Following a relaxing summer break from movie-making, the "Layer Cake" cutie is currently plugging away on the Karen Moncrieff directed drama titled "The Trials of Cate McCullough".
Co-starring Kate Beckinsale, a synopsis via IMDB tells: "A former hotshot lawyer, now in recovery and estranged from her family, in order to be reinstated at the bar and recover custody of her daughter, must take on the appeal of a woman wrongfully convicted of murder."

Stepping out for the third night in a row, Jude Law and Sienna Miller were spotted leaving The Wolseley in London on Tuesday night (August 17).
Joined by pal Twiggy, the reunited couple enjoyed a three and a half hour dinner before the "Layer Cake" cutie shared an embrace with her pal before rejoining her "Alfie" actor beau for the ride home.
Looking as if they may be ready to make the lifelong commitment, Sienna and Jude are said to be making an offer on a brand new multi-million dollar townhouse.
A source tells London press. "A friend of a friend had a brilliant place in North London going and, after two viewings, they decided to go for it - and put an offer in."
The insider adds, "Now it's just a matter of getting the offer accepted, signing the paperwork and exchanging contracts. Both of them are really happy. Things are going great."
