Making sure to tend to her duties as a responsible pet owner, Kate Bosworth spent the day getting her dog Lila medical care in West Hollywood, CA on Tuesday (September 20).
The "Superman Returns" actress slowly exited the TLC Pet Medical Centers facility as her pooch pal gingerly eased alongside her with a bandage wrapped around one of its front paws.
The vet visit comes just after Miss Bosworth's latest film "Straw Dogs" was released to theaters in the States this past Friday - with Kate having chatted with "Chelsea Lately" about a rape scene she had to enact for the project.
The 28-year-old told, "It was nerve-racking because obviously, this was a remake of the [director Sam] Peckinpah original - everyone talks about the infamous rape scene. I didn't think too much about it, to be honest, until about three days before and it was blocked out for two days. It was the type of experience that I just wanted to be present in and not think too much about."
Shot with now ex-beau/co-star Alexander Skarsgard playing the rapist, Kate further explained the difficult shoot to BlackBook, saying, "I told Alex not to worry about me, to just go for it. I said, I need you to lose yourself in this moment. And it was actually violent. He's a huge guy. When he was ripping off my clothes in front of a room filled with men, even though I knew it was make-believe, it was still incredibly violating and terrifying. The panic you see flooding me in that rape scene is real."

Closing out a busy week with a final promotional appearance, Kate Bosworth visited NBC Studios at Rockefeller Center in New York City on Friday (September 16).
The "21" hottie was on-hand for a guest spot on tonight's episode of "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," during which time she and Jimmy chatted about her new movie "Straw Dogs" while also playing a fun-filled game of beer pong.
As for Kate's new movie, "Straw Dogs" details what happens when an L.A. screenwriter relocates with his wife to her hometown in the deep South - where a brewing conflict with the locals becomes a serious threat to them both.
Having eben released to theaters today, the movie also stars James Marsden and Miss Bosworth's former real-life liver, Alexander Skarsgard.

Not letting their relationship breakdown stifle red carpet duties, Kate Bosworth and Alexander Skarsgard both attended The Cinema Society screening of "Straw Dogs" in New York City on Thursday night (September 15).
Held at the Tribeca Grand Hotel, the former couple posed separately on the arrivals carpet with Miss Bosworth joining alongside fellow castmate James Marsden for the Screen Gems event.
As for the movie, "Straw Dogs" details what happens when an L.A. screenwriter relocates with his wife to her hometown in the deep South - where a brewing conflict with the locals becomes a serious threat to them both.
James and Kate play the married couple while Alexander takes on the role of Bosworth's boyfriend from high school, with the film set for release on Friday, September 16th.

Kate Bosworth is totally over Alexander Skarsgard. That?s what she wants us to believe. As soon as everyone learned that Alex had dumped her, The Bos started showing up everywhere with a new boyfriend - director Michael Polish. They even walked the red carpet together in Deauville, and she brought him to a Coldplay concert. Kate is SO OVER Alex that she - I mean, ?a source? - told the Enquirer that she cheated on Alex with Michael Polish and that Alex was devastated and he will never be able to move on with his life. So? what are the odds that The Bos is still hung up on Alex? Star Magazine claims that Kate is pulling the old drunk-dialing, ?I MISS YOU? phone calls late at night:
Breaking up is always tough to do, but Kate Bosworth has been taking her early summer split from her beau of two years, Alexander Skarsgard, particularly hard.
?She feels she messed up with the man she was meant to marry,? says a source. While Kate, 28, has made sure to be seen with her new escort, director Michael Polish, ?After a few drinks, she?ll text and call Alex like crazy.?
The source adds, ?It just pushes him further away.?

I?ll believe it. It conforms to my idea of Kate - not that I think she gets drunk and loses control of her emotions. She doesn?t ever lose control, I don?t think. I think this is a ploy to make sure that she?s still in Alex?s life, and if he ever wants to get back together, that would be fine with her. Poor Michael Polish! Poor Hobbit-dude, being used like that by some bony, manipulative chick.
Oh, and this is really boring but I thought I?d mention it - The Bos recently discussed her decision to half-dye her hair blue. The Bos says she and her stylist Cher Coulter were working on an editorial shoot and “The blue hair came about because we both really loved the Pink hair from Givenchy’s [Fall 2010 ad campaign]. I can?t believe I?m about to say this, but Kate Bosworth looks really good here. These are photos of Kate at the opening ceremony for the Deauville Film Festival. She?s in Valentino and? it suits her? On another girl, I would think this dress would be super-boring. But the clean style and the simply bow belt, it flatters Kate?s two-thin figure. It adds a few inches to her skinny body. Kate brought her lover, Michael Polish, as her date. He walked the red carpet with her? which means that The Bos doesn?t really hate doing the red carpet thing with her lovers, which means that it was Alexander Skarsgard who didn?t want to be photographed with her.
Kate is at the Deauville Film Festival to promote her film Another Happy Day, which finds her at the centerpiece of an ensemble family drama. Something about a wedding at the family estate, basically rich, neurotic white people with problems, I think. Demi Moore is in it, as is Ellen Barkin. Sounds like a must-miss film!
The Bos also has Straw Dogs coming out soon, which should be an interesting promotional tour now that she and Skarsgard are over. Do you think they?ll pose together on the red carpet? Do you think The Bos will bring her new lover to the premiere in an attempt to make Alex jealous? Hahahaha. If you remember, Kate?s version of how that all went down was that she cheated on Alex with Polish, and then SHE dumped Alex. Rii-ight. Helping Usher in another year of the annual cinematic event, Kate Bosworth was among those at the opening ceremony of the 37th Deauville American Film Festival in Deauville, France on Friday (September 2).
The "Superman Returns" actress looked stunning in a black Valentino frock as she joined new beau Michael Polish on the Deauville red carpet while in attendance to promote her film "Another Happy Day".
The outing comes as Miss Bosworth recently opened up to BlackBook about her high school days - telling that she mostly kept to herself.
The 28-year-old dished, "I was a real loner in high school, even though people assume I was the head cheerleader. My head was always in books. I felt uncomfortable in cliques. I wasn?t a social butterfly at all.?

When Alexander Skarsgard and Kate Bosworth split up last month, I think most of us believed the reports that Alex did the dumping, and that Bosworth was still trying to cling to him. Even before the split announcement, Alex was at Comic-Con, and he was reportedly enjoying the company of ladies (ladies who eat). Then, just days after the official split, Kate stepped out with a ?mystery man? at the Marmont. It seemed like she just wanted to be photographed with a dude, just so she could look ?over it? and possibly make Alex jealous, I guess. Then Kate went to a Coldplay concert with the same dude, now identified as director Michael Polish. All in all, Kate seems to want to look ?over it? and like she?s ?moved on?. I don?t know if I believe it, but I hope it?s true. What I don?t believe, however, is this story in the Enquirer. It sounds like it was written by? I don?t even know. Not Kate?s publicist? Like, Kate herself. This Kate?s ?LOOK AT ME!? move I think - basically saying that she screwed around on Skarsgard and she did the dumping and she?s already so over it and Alex is the one who can?t let go.
Alexander Skarsgard is still feeling the bite over his failed two-year-relationship with Kate Bosworth. Alexander, who planned on proposing to Kate Bosworth and even took her to Sweden to meet his family, is taking the breakup especially hard since Kate?s already gone public with the man she dumped him for, say sources.
Alex was ?blind-sided? over the Fourth of July weekend when Kate told him she wanted to ?see other people,? said a source. ?They had been living together and he really thought it was going to lead to marriage.?
But Alexander was dealt a double blow when he learned that Kate was already involved with Michael Polish, the director of her latest movie, Big Sur.
?She worked on ?Big Sur? during the spring, and Alexander reasoned that she was seeing Michael behind his back long before she called it quits on the relationship,? the source explained. ?Alexander is one of the nicest guys around, and it?s been driving him crazy to see Kate already flaunting her relationship with Michael in public.?
Meanwhile, Skarsgard is staying with a friend in LA and trying to regroup.
?Alexander is considered on Hollywood?s handsomest and most eligible bachelors and could have any pick of any number of beauties? but right now he?s licking his wounds and keeping to himself.?

Okay, so do I believe any of this? My opinion of Bosworth is so low, I could buy that screwed around on Alex. But the way Alex has acted after the breakup? it just seems like he?s the one who has moved on. He?s fine. He seems happier without the 80-pound albatross.
Oh, and it?s Alex?s birthday today! Happy b-day, you big hunk of Swedish meatball.

Taking their romance to a Hollywood hot spot, Kate Bosworth and new beau Michael Polish hit up Chateau Marmont last night (August 8).
The hot-and-heavy "Blue Crush" beauty and her "Big Sur" director boyfriend both wore collared tops and jeans for the evening out at the eatery.
Monday's date follows the couple's PDA-filled Coldplay concert stop last week, where, as one witness told Us Weekly, Kate "kept hanging all over him, kissing him, coming up behind him and squeezing him while kissing the back of his neck and biting his ear!"
Bosworth, who split with "True Blood" actor Alexander Skarsgaard last month, is just one of the many A-listers attached to Polish's big screen adaption of the life of Jack Kerouac.

Just days after Alexander Skarsgard and Kate Bosworth went public with their split, Kate was photographed with a ?mystery man?. I think it was an attempt to be both coy and brazen - after all, Skarsgard had reportedly hooked up with at least one lady while at Comic-Con, before their split was even announced. Plus, the photo-op took place outside the Chateau Marmont - while the paparazzi were camped out there, waiting for Lady Gaga. So, The Bos had a ?mystery man? - and she flaunted him again two nights ago, at the Coldplay performance at UCLA. In yesterday?s post, I made a big deal about The Bos and her connection to Chris Martin - they allegedly, reportedly had an affair in 2009 - and I ignored this pretty boy in the photos. I think he might be her new gay BFF, but People Magazine must have gotten a heads up from The Bos?s publicist, because they have the low-down on who the guy is and how he and Bosworth are new lovers or something:

The 28-year-old actress stepped out with director Michael Polish Wednesday night to catch Coldplay at the Samsung and AT&T Summer Krush concert at the Los Angeles Tennis Center at UCLA. The pair were incredibly close (even kissing!) throughout the show, according to a source, and Polish had his hands around her waist during several songs.
The identical twin brother of his sometime filmmaking collaborator Mark, Polish, 40, is currently directing Bosworth in Big Sur, the film adaptation of the novel by Jack Kerouac.
He is also the director of several films including The Astronaut Farmer and Twin Falls, Idaho, in which he also costarred with his brother.

Is Big Sur the reason for the sketchy hair? It?s a period film, I?m assuming - the ?period? being late 1950s, early 1960s, when the Jack Kerouac book is set. Did people do this to their hair circa 1961? I don?t think so.
As for Bosworth?s romance? sure. He looks like Benjamin Millepied, only smaller. I know the camera just got them at a weird angle, but it really seems like he?s only about five foot four, if that. A pocket boyfriend, only? he?s not so cute once you get him home. Maybe she figured her last boyfriend was a giant, so maybe she just wanted a relationship where she didn?t have to deal with chronic neck pain. Or maybe she just wanted somebody pretty to flaunt in case Alex is paying attention (Hint: I don?t think he is paying attention).
